Jason Allen & Lindsay Cutshall murdered Aug 2004 - person of interested killed

Lindsay and Jason were murdered as they slept on a beach near Jenner, California. Here's a summary of the case:

A person of interest has been killed shot dead (after first killing a police officer). There's pretty good evidence that this guy killed another couple (Ann Durrant and Leif Carlsson) sleeping on the beach in Vancouver in 1972 - which was why he's been a POI in the Cutshall-Allen case -- I wonder if LE will ever be able to find out if this guy was the killer.

I remember this double murder - as a hiker/camper, this gave me the creeps. I live in New Mexico and haven't heard a word about the shooting and subsequent death of this man. It's always upsetting to hear of the death of an officer when doing their jobs protecting us.

Yes. It bothered me a bit that the article didn't even give the officer's name, but then it wasn't a local paper.

I live about an hour away from where Jason and Lindsay were killed. It's probably too much to hope that if this guy did kill them, that he still has the gun -- or ammo from the same batch.
