His lawyer offered $1,000,000 to anyone who could prove that Nelson was guilty. Well....someone did...

That was quite a trial. I don't think I've ever been as angry as I was when Mrs P took the stand and the judge ordered her to not cry or she would declare a mistrial. Every one of us watching was holding her in our hearts. There were so many of us willing her to remain calm. I've never witnessed such an act of bravery,,,,

Wonder how much he'd have to pay an attorney for litgation to get it from this fool. Maybe he could win, sue for attorney fees and court costs. That would keep the attorney's mouth shut for a while. JMO

Oh, I do remember that. I will never ever forget the grief stricken faces of each and every family member. I do not mean to make light of this horrific crime in any way, but everytime I buy Serrano ham or see it in a recipe, that evil grin of this murderer pops into my head!

Me too! Smugly smirking at his victims' families. And the grin of his silly attorney Cheney Mason - remember how he would practically lie down in his chair - rocking and bouncing and just grinning like it was all too ridiculous. The awful judge loved him. I was so worried she would overturn the jury verdict 'cause she loved the defense so much. Wasn't it wonderful to wipe out those silly grins?!

You are bringing back all of those memories I want to forget! LOL Am so happy that justice was served here..

Now that is interesting. I was pleased with the guilty verdict. Cheney should be forced to pay up.

That's good! I remember the trial very well too ~ it was one of the last I've seen since I was between jobs at the time. Justice was served, imo.

I remember that judge ... Susan Roberts. I thought her treatment of the witness, Mrs. P. (Patisso) was despicable! Her total insensitivity and lack of compassion spoke volumes to me as to what type of a human being she is.

Your post rekindled my curiousity about judge Roberts and I was very pleased to read that she retired effective April 2008.
