Thanks for the link and update. I'm glad the police are still working the case. It does sound like they think Nevaeh was sexually abused, by the police questioning all the sex offenders.
Interesting about taking carpet fibers too!! I really do think it was someone who knew Nevaeh and that by the way her body was disposed of the perp is remorseful.IMO I think that could be a tool for the police to use.IMO

I agree with you moonlite that LE believes Navaeh was sexually assaulted. I too think that it was someone that lives close to her house, and i hope like hell that carpet fiber pays off.



But I will also add that this part of the article make me sick. I don't believe this for a minute. I don't believe that "they" are concerned about Navaeh, nor were they ever. If they had ANY concerns for another human, they sure as heck wouldn't be on a Sex Offender Registry.

I just can't imagine someone burring her alive but if so they had to know she was and it was just plain evil, was that the reason for the concrete? Just can't hardly write about it. Yes I think the Mom knows more than what she is saying but just so hard to believe anyone could do this, let alone anyone close to her.

The results of the autopsy were released Tuesday and Sheriff Crutchfield said in a prepared statement that the death was by aspiration of fine particulate material (dirt).

"This means that Nevaeh's face was forcibly maintained or embedded into a dirt surface," he wrote. "Whether this resulted from another person forcibly pressing her face into dirt or whether she was buried alive could not be determined."

The sheriff said later that investigators are still waiting for results of testing being completed by the Michigan State Police crime lab.
He maintained his policy of not releasing certain specific information, such as if Nevaeh was sexually assaulted, what type of evidence had been collected and if a prime suspect has been developed.

Well I have been keeping up with this case from just about day 1 and for some reason I don't recall the name Aaron Baker. I know that she was at the friend's house in the building earlier and think I remember the friend's Mother but I take it Aaron is her husband?

The news has been a little bit confusing. The little boy that played with Nevaeh is named Austin. His mother is named Krystal Kuhn. But his father is named Aaron Baker.

We know she's capable of making very poor choices. Whoever impregnated her may have had a lot of contact with Navaeh and also would know of her inadequate parental supervision. If they were watching and fantasizing they would know she would be left unwatched and just "got lucky" that day. That person may still be in the mother's life and hopefully has been investigated and their alibi checked. I'm just suprised we haven't heard anything of this obvious suspect.

I was under the assumption that it was not known if she was pregnant and that somewhere it was stated/reported that she was not? Has their been any confirmation to that or any pictures since Nevaeh's funeral?

I was wondering the same thing if Mr. Baker has taken a lie detector test? IMO' it's very telling that the police cut a piece of his carpet!! I mean why not cut a piece of Nevaeh's carpet from home to compare fibers with?

I'm a bit suspicious of Mr. Baker myself. his reactions just seem a little over the top. I'm wondering why he didn't say something to the effect of being worried for his own child's safety, knowing there is a predater/killer out there in his very own neighborhood. but JMO

just FTR my meter didn't go off with him. His voice and inflection of tone seemed truly honest to me, came off as honestly pained at the news. No freak meter here. I keep checking though, for any news and sad to see another case that its taking some time to find the horrible human being who did this. LE just has to find the perpetrator. They just have to. I'm sure this is one of those cases those men and women in LE are carrying around with them, hourly.

Unless that's the only connection, and the road is not anywhere the place.. (an dteh onyl reason it's been reported is because it was GK's). Very strange (to say teh least!) that he would throw it into the water, even though it was expired.

I looked it up on Yahoo maps and the street where the creek is appears to be about 130 miles from Monroe Co and the thing is it appears to be in the opposite direction of where she was found in Mich (which is almost 250 miles from Monroe Co), I didn't realize she was found that far away from her home. Even though they both appear to be right by the same State Hwy, one is south of Monroe the other North. He or someone for him though could of planted that there to throw the LE off, because that is a weird coincidence.

Ok well now I am confused, I re did it and it now says 10 miles but that is from Monroe Co to Raisin River at Dixon Rd. It appears Raisin River runs pretty far (see link below) but where the confusion was I believe is their is not a Telegraph Rd in Mich, one in OH and MO which if it was OH (the closest) would be about 250 miles south of Monroe County.

Ok well now I am confused, I re did it and it now says 10 miles but that is from Monroe Co to Raisin River at Dixon Rd. It appears Raisin River runs pretty far (see link below) but where the confusion was I believe is their is not a Telegraph Rd in Mich, one in OH and MO which if it was OH (the closest) would be about 250 miles south of Monroe County.

Ok I was wrong again or Yahoo was. Google shows only 30 miles from Dixon Rd at River Raisin to Telegraph Rd (Yahoo did not locate a Dixon Rd in Mich).
I guess that is right, for some reason the right link to Google doesn't show so it has to be typed in.
