Law enforcement sources tell TMZ upwards of a 30 car motorcade -- including Jackson's body -- will be traveling from Los Angeles to Neverland at 10 AM on Thursday.

It is a fit place for him!!!!! I'm glad the family is doing that.

Good grief.. I am so glad that I don't live anywhere near the route up the coast. It's going to be a traffic nightmare!!

I posted this on the other thread but I will post it hear too.

I hope you are right, because I think it would be horrible to have an open casket. He hid from people for the last years of his life. I think he would be horrified to know that the "public" or anyone would be walking by staring at his body. :cursing:

From the article:

"We're told law enforcement is currently meeting to discuss security and traffic control. Our sources say plans are in the works for a public viewing to take place on either Friday or Saturday."

Public viewing sounds like open casket to me. I don't know........

That is the way I thought too. Yuck.

Morticians will probably make his face look better than it did in life. Just depends on the mortician. The coroner also said the autopsy reports that were leaked describing the way he looked were totally inaccurate.

I think The Sun is a ragmag worse than the NE. I wouldn't believe a word they have to say.

It certainly looked like MJ had had more surgery in the last month or so and he looked a lot like he did in his prime when they showed him in the rehearsals two days before he died.

I am sure if they have an open casket he will be sealed under glass to make sure emotional fans do not cling to his body.

I have no doubt they will have the best professionals preparing his face/hair and body.

So I don't think there is any need to have a close casket. Security will be as tight as it is at the White House so I think everything will go along fine.

imo

In the photo that was released from the rehearsal last week he looked pretty good!

It's hard to even imagine the cars and buses going to this. It will probably be a two day ordeal.

Don't get me going on that. We're having to replan our entire 4th of July weekend around this traffic. I read that they are driving the body up on Thursday so our concerns right now are when/if it is leaving.

Then of course we will deal with the "will they or won't they" make Neverland a "wanna-be" Graceland.

Staples Center offers to host Michael Jackson memorial (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/31685979/ns/entertainment-music/)
I'm so glad they aren't holding it up at Neverland. Even without the 4th of July, which has its own security concerns, Santa Barbara county sheriffs don't have the manpower to deal with the public viewing, much less the streets. As is, they have officers at the nearby schools as well as porta-potties set up.

Not to upset anyone, but just posting the latest on yahoo news. some believe that MJ's ghost has appeared because of a shadow seen in this Larry King video. I don't believe in this stuff, but it goes to show how much fans want him to still be around. I was more fascinating seeing a glimpse inside the house. IMO

There was definitely a clear, moving shadow, but I am wondering if there was a window inside the room, off to the left, where someone could have walked past outside and the shadow just appeared to go across the room. Shadows are funny things, for sure. At any rate, people love a good mystery and the shadow looked like a skinny guy.

My immediate thought was that he should be in the mosoluem (way bad spelling) next to Marilyn Monroe and Rudolph Valentino. (Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills.)

However, just tonight I heard that although that is the stated place of his rest, there is a slight possibility that he might be creamated and have his ashes scattered over Neverland.

I don't know if his religious beliefs permit creamation, but I think that would be the best possible "rest" for the little boy who built his own never never land.

I think that right now God is learning the "Moonwalk" and having great joy.

Obviously, I never believed for one second that Michael was a pervert or child molester. He was a child-man who had all the money in the world, and really, had nothing except his beloved children.

I had heard to be buried at Neverland, he would have to be cremated and his ashes buried there. That was the only way to get a permit. jmo

The family deserves the right to lay him to rest in peace.

This would be the only way to fulfill this.

May he RIP and my heartfelt sympathies are with his children and the family members that truly loved him.

Those were not kiddie lures, they were artifacts, toys and gadgets that MJ never had as a child. His childhood years were stripped from him, what's so hard about that to understand?

No one really believes Mikie is a child molester...it's just a ploy to deflect all the attention that is being bestowed upon him.
People can be so envious and bitter.

And gee, if only he hadn't done what he did for years and years, Pattycake, I'd be right there with you.

Please stop saying "no one really believes" he was a child molester because many, many people believe he was. If YOU don't believe it, that's your business. Just don't fool yourself into thinking it's unanimous. It's not. I have lots of reasons to believe as I do but it's not because I'm "envious and bitter."

My heart goes out to the Jackson children.

:rose: for the children. No matter what happens, life for them has changed drastically. They will now be living in the real world, and that will be extremely hard for them.

I agree with you kellabeck. As someone who read the entire trial transcripts several times, who had family involved in the investigation and trial, and who went to the courthouse to offer support there are many reasons some folks think MJ molested children. Its been really tough to separate the man from his music the last few days. However, there is a large difference.

I agree with Toure that Jackson's death has liberated his music so that it can be enjoyed again.

Ditto. I've come to the conclusion he was a pedophile many many years ago....before the most recent accuser.

I am not bitter or envious.

I'm very upset that you and others who feel that way would post on a thread I started.....I love Michael Jackson and DO NOT think he would ever have hurt a child or anyone else.

I came here after enjoying a beautiful, well put together memorial after crying and remembering through the years and see these kinds of post.

Why don't those of you who choose to talk negative put it on your own threads. I may get banned for saying so but I think TODAY these kinds of post are disgusting!!!!!!

Michael Jackson - born 29 August 1958
My son born - born 29 August 1950

Michael a man who would act child like
My son kind, child-like even as a young adult

Michael wanted people to like and love him
My son did as well

My son murdered 27 July - 2 days and one month before his birthday
Michael ???? 2 day before 27th of the month - June

I understood Michael....I KNOW he was misunderstood.

I greatly respect what Michael did for our country with all his giving and bringing love I know he is in a better place.

Michael is with God now, he has peace now. I have no doubt he was welcomed into heaven, as I have no doubt that those who have chosen to taint this day with their display of inhumanity, will not be so welcome. I pray for them and their darkened souls.

Hi Lou. Put it on ognorre and move on. Some people are TOTALLY intimidated by Michael, his life and the worldwide celebration of his homegoing. He is loved everywhere,, but there will always be a few haters. That is their issue. Not yours or mine.
Good advice, Pattycake - thanks - I will...I will try
