I think Jesse really dodged a bullet here, because had he gone to help her with the car, this defense team could place him in one of the critical areas around the time Caylee disappeared, imo.
Which reminds me, I wonder if LE ever did finger printing on the steering wheel and interior of the car?
Thanks again desmom. At this point does Amy still think she is moving into the Ant's house with Casey?

I have wondered the same thing.
Also what about the trunk....I know George's prints would be on
the steering wheel(since he drove it home) also he opened the trunk.
But if the only prints were to be his and Casey's ....then there is no way she can claim someone else had a key to the car and it's contents.
At least none of her friends prints that she is accusing of framing her or Cindy is accusing.
Oh if I have not done so before I also want to thank desmom for
the tireless work she has done and continues to do.
I actually think the prosecutors should request her help with their timeline.

Key court date set in Casey Anthony civil case

Lawyers for "nanny" Zenaida Gonzales have filed a motion blasting a private investigator who worked for both Casey Anthony's parents and defense attorney Jose Baez.
P.I. Dominic Casey(pictured) was a no show at a recent deposition scheduled by Gonzales's lawyers. He claimed information he received while working the case is privileged.
But lawyers for Gonzales strongly disagree saying in a four-page letter to the court that Dominic Casey is "misguided and misinformed."
They accuse him of skirting the real issues with an "unfounded personal attack" against their firm.
At a hearing in September, Gonzales's attorneys will ask a judge to hold the Mr. Casey in contempt of court for not showing at the deposition.
At the same hearing, lawyers will ask the judge to force Casey's father, mother and brother to answer tough questions in the civil case depositions.
In April, when George, Cindy and Lee were deposed, they refused to answer questions they said would affect Casey's criminal cases.
The hearing on these matters is set for September 9th at 3:15PM.
This is going to be a long wait!!!
That gives brad time to hurt his back again:biggrin:

See this is one of the things I have yet to understand...she seems to have made a great effort for KC that is to try and locate a gas can so she could refuel her car...Yet...why didn't she have TonE help her when he picked her up??? Did she really want to abandon it in hopes someone would steal it??? She also ask Amy to go with her to buy gas cans at one point. My understanding is there are several gas stations right around Amscot...why didn't she use her feminine whiles to just go over and ask some guy to help her put some gas in her car???
I just don't get it???
Hard trying to figure out what she was thinking.
Okay here is my theory:
I don't think she wanted anyone that close to the trunk of her car because of the smell.
I also think she may have been thinking of burning the car ...whether in that parking lot or maybe driving it to another location and doing it.
But of course the car was towed before she could act.
I know I have mentioned this before and was scoffed at but what better way to get rid of the evidence of a decompsoing body then by
burning the car?
The interior of the trunk and the car would have burned probably leaving no sign of decomposition.
That gives brad time to hurt his back again:biggrin:
It sure gives Lyon enough time get the Oct trial date in the Criminal Trial delayed.... which could impact the decision that Judge Rodriguez will make in the Civil Case. So, the Sept date may work out ok.

After listening to the Albatross commentaries on You Tube that someone posted yesterday, I feel as though George and Cindy and possibly even Lee should be charged with obstruction of justice and tampering with evidence. If Cindy washed the jeans that were in the trunk of the car and also cleaned out the entire car, if that is true, and Lee went to Casey's boyfriend's apartment and trashed her laptop computer before the cops were able to look at it, then they are criminals. This added to the fact that if they did all these things, then it stands to reason that they knew that Caylee was dead before they started with this Help Find Caylee donation thing. That is a fraud on the general public. These people should be charged and why are they not? I don't get it.

I agree with Rapunzel, Casey isn't that smart....HOWEVER....her attorney's might just try and use that scenerio...(that someone else took the car and drove it back to that spot) that the person who stole the car (probably Zenaida) put Caylee's body in it, to give the odor of death....then took the body to the wooded area near the Anthony's house to set Casey up before driving the car back to Amscot parking lot and leaving it there to be towed away....
Heck....if Dr. Baden could say that Lana Clarkson cleaned up her own blood after shooting herself and was able to convince one juror...why not throw this at a couple of Floridians? Because that is what this defense in going to be relying on (the one weak link juror).....

Right, but she was out of gas truly and she told Amy she was out of gas...I don't remember, but I'm sure she must have told Amy where the car was, so what good would it do to move it and then say she was out of gas and then burn it...cars don't burn when they're not running and out of gas.
I don't believe Casey was ever going to burn the car. She would never waste gas that she could be using to do her bar hopping! I think what she was hoping for is that someone would steal it. Then she could claim that once it was found that the car thief left the car in the "smelly" condition it was found in.
Steps

Please correct me if I am wrong, but at one time I recall a toy horse was found at the location of her remains. I believe this toy was to have matched similar horses at the Anthony home. The interior of the trunk and the car would have burned probably leaving no sign of decomposition.
A burning car would bring the fire department and LE. LE would have contacted the car owner. Casey would have a lot of explaining to do.
It was reported on one of the TH news shows Casey was spotted driving around the area of the Amscot. If you google the address for Amscot (7501 E Colonial Dr, Orlando, FL), there is some type of pond about 4-5 blocks south of Amscot behind a business.
Remember in the beginning when LE Dive Team had a "training exercise" in a pond not far from the A's. IIRC, they found 3 cars during that "training".
What if Caylee's resting place was temporary? Casey could have waited until late evening, gone back for Caylee's body, put her in the car seat and pushed the car into one of those ponds and screamed "I have been carjacked and they have my baby".

That I can verify. I know that because we've met these people that she worked with -- or my wife has -- I've talked to them over the phone," George Anthony said in the August interview. "At 2006, she wrote down -- or typed out in her nice resume -- nanny."

ITA!!! She could have very well grown up to be a productive member of society...one of very few in this family.
Casey made her own choices ...bad ones for sure but they were her choices and no one made her steal money from others, no one made her live her life as a lie,and no one made her kill Caylee.....she and she alone is responsible for her actions.
Instead of becoming a productive part of society raising her own daughter she choice to sponge off her parents, steal from her friends and try to live a life she thought she was entitiled to.
She betrayed everyone she ever met......with the biggest betrayal being her own daughter.

That was the 3rd 911 call Cindy placed. IIRC it was around 10:00 p.m. George arrived home at 9:50 p.m. per his handwritten statement. page 37 http://www.docstoc.com/docs/3868229/guide-to-casey-anthony-documents-orlando-sentinel
george stated they had been called at 9:30 and he arrived home at 9:50, but you hear them talking (he and Cindy) at the end of the 911 call. Twice she says Geroge, Caylee is missing. He asks about calling 911 and she says she is now.

I agree that casey isnt that "smart" but she is quite good at coming up with on-the-spot stories and backtracking to try and "clarify what she meant by her previous statements" ie cover up the lies that she jsut figured otu weren't working....
Her attorneys dont appear to be as "smart" as people think they are either....after all (and I am a perfect example) a couple of degrees does not a genious make.

CYA. A stranger helping her wouldn' t hae covered for her.A stranger might smell something and call the cops. She could and did manipulate her friends. moo

SP was convicted for murder with no COD.. There imo there was less evidence against him then there is for casey.. Just because they dont have a COD on Caylee doesn't mean she wont get the same as sp did.
there's so much more evidence against casey.. I don't see her walking.. Laci like to relax in the pool to help her back.. SP either drowned her in the pool or her choked her to death.. casey and sp have a lot in common... They both murdered an innocent child...both could do no wrong in their parents eyes both the golden child.. both no consequences to their actions.. both lairs, both narcissistic.. both sets of parents lairs. However casey's parents have sp's parents beat..hands down... never seen a set of parents like casey's ever . Let's just hope casey keeps up the trend and she gets the dp like sp..

Morgan may be able to take advantage of this long wait. By this time, it is likely that Lyon will have pushed the Criminal Trial back, so Morgan's position of moving this Civil Case forward may be strengthened.

But does anyone believe her stories even from the get go??? LE did not...I did not. Do her parents and Lee really believe her??? Are they that stooopid or just covering up from the beginning???
She may think she is an effective liar, but I think family and friends just made her think that cause they never confronted her...
No never.. No I believe that all the A's concocted this story before they ever called the police.. I say all the A's are in this up to their eyeballs. They all are lairs and they thought no one would question what they were saying. that everyone including LE would just believe what ever came out of their mouths.. cover up from beginning.. cleaning car , washing pants, trying to air out the car, giving FBI wrong hair brush, tampering with evidence, hindering an investigation, lying to LE and FBI, refusing to give the info like cc statements , lying about the last time anyone seen Caylee. Lying about what was missing of Caylee's. Stalking someone else's child's picture saying it was Caylee in that mall when they knew full well Caylee was dead .
Sending DC to where Caylee was not once but 3 times... going to ritz after Caylee remains were found and not going there or even home. for a couple of days.. Having a lawyer meet them at the airport.. Not participating in any active search for Caylee other then looking in their own back yard.. Cussing Tim Miller for searching for a dead Caylee..Throwing a fit with other searchers.. Heck they didnt even offer anyone of the searchers a bottle of water..
NO they knew Caylee was dead and I truly believe they knew right where casey threw Caylee away like trash.. NO THESE PEOPLE are IN THIS NECK DEEP... They Knew..
I didn't know that...Baez set it up for Brad to become the A's attorney??? How did that come about??? Where did JB know him from??? Did he know Brad before hand or just picked an attorney from a list??? Very curious...
And, Baez has worked cases alongside Kasen before also.

Perhaps if George & Cindy had been responsible parents to Casey and took the time and taught Casey the meaning of accountability, honesty, moral and work ethics this tragedy may have never occured.

I don't really think Casey ever thought past one moment to the next. Whatever came into her over active imagination she acted upon at the time. I think at this time her biggest fear was one of her recent friends smelling the odor from her trunk, so just in case she was planting the dead animal theory. I don't think she would have burned or trashed the car, afterall that was her only means of doing anything if at some point in time she couldn't borrow one of their cars. Casey's problem was no job and no way to get a different mode of transportation. It just seems to me when all else fell through, she had her car to use as a hotel, it was her residence for many days and nights off and on.
When I first heard about Kaylee on tv and the mother not reporting her missing for 30/31 days, I knew then she was guilty of this childs disappearance. After hearing her nanny lies and Cindy's 911 call it was obvious Caylee was not going to be found alive. Never telling anyone about it? Lie after Lie after Lie and such lame ones that no one is going to buy. Just wanted to drop in and say hey to everyone. Been working on the Cindy angle. It's like trying to make sense out Alice in Wonderland. I did come across something interesting I didn't catch early on. During Lee's first interview with LE he tells the investigator that Cindy had turned all the receipts found in casey's wallet over to bozo. georgic, sindy and lee had to meet with bozo at his office to go over the receipts and while looking over these lee becamse suspicious that several receipts had disappeared while in bozo's possession. Ummmm?
One more question then I'll get back to the books. bozo has sworn as "an officer of the court" he was not involved in any deals and such. Has everyone forgot what J.H. and D.C. have testified to under oath that bozo set up the ABC deal that took place at the Ritz? They both stated that bozo and the producer appeared to have a friendly relationship when bozo arrived late for dinner that evening(thankfully lee kindly ordered him a steak). Later bozo and the producer were seen having a discussion in the lobby. All caught on tape!!!!!

Early on in this case, when Cindy claimed to not be profiting from any movive deals, Bozo was brokering a movie deal with someone. I remember if vividly because I thought at the time that it was WRONG to even talk about a movie daal that would make money for SOMEONE on this case.
The movie that was made about Scott Peterson did not wind up putting ANY MONEY in anyone's ppockets although the Peterson family was trying to broker a book deal (with no takers).

Exactly...IMO Caylee was an abused child way before she was murdered.. Just because she didnt have any old fractures DOES NOT mean she wasn't abused.. IMO you dont go from a loving mother to a murderering mom.. I truley believe g and c knew it to.. Look at the videos.. one in tub she happy playing smileing then all of a sudden she's crying.. why? ITA - There is no doubt Scott Petersen thought he was gonna walk, too...the Scamthony's own bravado and inability to conceive that they WON'T BE BELIEVED never ceases to amaze me though! I think of Cindy and George whenever I think about this, and I think it bears repeating...Remember when Drew Peterson supposedly asked his relative - "Can you live with helping with the disposing of a body, no? Well then, could you live with knowing about it?" I've said it before, and I am sure I will say it again...The Scamthony's are just paying rent to the Devil himself for their remaining time in this world...they will never inherit the earth or gain entrance to Heaven...They define evil...every last one of them... Casey will NEVER say she did it now...positively no outs are left for her now...not that she ever would have used them, narcissist that she is...
No she will never say she had anything to do with Caylee's death.. Remeber in her own words they are trying to trick me into confessing that WILL NEVER HAPPEN she said.. I TA on the A's..

Sweet Heysoos - I hope there's a connection...cause if there isn't, I cannot imagine being in the holding area waiting to go to court while chained to three other people, (my own twisted imagination) and take the advice of any of these other "criminals" as to who they recommended?????...maybe it's just me, but I think I'd like to have someone who is in a position to tell me what my legal rights were concerning my, oh I don't know, LEGAL representation, I might be more picky...I'm just sayin....might as well throw a dart at the phone book...
I remember reading that Baez' daughter went to the same high school as Casey, but I have never seen any proof that they knew one another. I am extremely suspicious of how Casey hooked up with Baez. I think if we knew that, we might know a LOT more about this case. Just call me a "conspiracy theorist." Unfortunately, I have no theory to go with the conspiracy since I haven't seen or read any clues to support one. I do know that criminal attorneys do NOT call potential clients like tort lawyers, aka ambulance chasers, do. The FIRST thing on the mind of a defense attorney is: Does this criminal have the means to pay me? At least enough to warrant my having a face-to-face with him/her? Defense attorneys do NOT work on the if/come. They obtain the $ up front. Remember that Casey was a nobody local criminal when she hooked up with Baez initially, and there was absolutely no way Baez could even dream that this case might go national providing him with a bunch of publicity.

I don't think she ran completely out of gas before she got the the Amscot...if she ran out on the street and blocked traffic at all, she would need help pushing it out of traffic and into the parking lot there - you know "pretty" girl that she is, some guy(s) would've tripped over themselves to help her....but the SMELL would've knowcked them down!! Remember when she wouldn't even let Tony get out of his car to help - she was standing there waiting with her frozen dinner and just jumped in when he pulled up...I don't know...sounds fishy
I think your right...she probably drove it there and ran it until it ran out of gas...she knew she had to dump that car sooner or later because her friends would start getting suspicious with not seeing Caylee and all.....Maybe she thought that the smell would leave after awhile, because she had to know that the car was going to be towed away from Amscot...and that the owner would be notified.....
But then again, knowing how stupid Casey is, she just might have thought that she could go back in a few days and the smell would be gone...
Maybe she was hoping for the car to be stolen (but who steals a car that has no gas) no thief is going to go to the bother of bringing gas to a car they want to steal....
Nothing she did made any sense......

I thought justice was supposed to be swift and sure in this country. I guess not. The american justice system is the joke of the world. They may not have this trial for years at this rate. I wouldnt be surprised if it is held in 2015 or later at this rate. But who knows on dec 21 2012 we may now how it ends one way or another.

That certainly isn't true. Look at what's happening in Italy with the Amanda Knox case!
Caylee will get justice. If it weren't for all the other murderers out there who need to be dealt with, she would get justice more quickly.

Whatever she thought it probably wasn't that the car was sitting in a tow yard. I do believe that came as a total shock to her when Cindy tracked her down on 7/15. :scared: MOO
I have to confess to something that pertains to what a rattlebrain at 22 yrs. old Casey was:
When I was 16, maybe a month after I had gotten my driver's license, my girlfriend and I went to visit another girlfriend who was hospitalized. We couldn't find a place to park close to the hospital and planned to just run in and say a quick "Hi!" and take her a gift. Because of that, we decided it would be ok to leave my mother's car in a Bus Stop. We figured the very worst would be that we might get a ticket, and how much could that be? $ 5? $ 10? I figured I would pay the ticket and my mom would never know. When we came out of the hospital 15-20 min. later, the car was gone! We went back inside while I used a pay phone to call the police dept. to report my mom's car STOLEN. Yes, that's how dumb I was at 16. The car had been towed; the ticket was $ 75 for parking in a Bus Stop, and the towing bill was $ 150. With no hope of paying the city $ 225, I had to call my mother and tell her what I had done. Needless to say, I didn't drive for quite awhile after that.
I bet Casey thought someone stole that stinking, smelly, out-of-gas car with her purse and keys sitting on the seat and her problems had been solved. Just my guess.....

I think she figured it would be stolen but only she knows why she left it there, other than being parked next to a smelly dumpster.
I don't think we will ever know for sure what she was thinking, but I do think she knew she had to do something about the smell. I can't even imagine how she thought this was going to solve anything unless she did just run out of gas, but why leave the keys in the car? All I know for sure is nothing she did made any sense at all..jmo

A little change of subject here. In the past we were wondering if the prosecution could be holding back critical evidence regardless of the Sunshine Act? This is a good read by Wendy Murphy about her thoughts on the subject. It left me with food for thought.

Exactly...IMO Caylee was an abused child way before she was murdered.. Just because she didnt have any old fractures DOES NOT mean she wasn't abused.. IMO you dont go from a loving mother to a murderering mom.. I truley believe g and c knew it to.. Look at the videos.. one in tub she happy playing smileing then all of a sudden she's crying.. why? IMO she was afraid of who ever was behind that camera..
I think so too, but the defense is going to play that one (and only) video of Casey & Caylee playing together (you know which one I mean) Anyone that didn't know anything about this case would have believed a very happy mother and child.

Casey probably is that stupid to think that a thief would go to the trouble to go buy gas and put it in her car to steal it....
Why else would she have left her pocketbook on the front seat? It had to be for the reason of somebody stealing the car...
Was it ever established that the car was infact out of gas or was it just low on gas? I only remember it being said that it was out of gas...

I think children learn a lot of things by example, not just by hearing words, lectures, etc. I remember when I was a child being extremely impressed by my father's honesty and integrity in his actions. And I have always tried to emulate him in that respect even though not always successful.
However, I also think children sometimes learn to do the opposite of examples by their parents. One example: my mother had no modesty when it came to her nudity. She would change into her nightgown in the living room in front of the entire family. Because of that, I and all my siblings, including my brother, would never disrobe in front of anyone, including our spouses or significant others. And according to my brother, he had especially a difficult time during his stint with the marines due to his modesty.

Your post got me to thinking about the events of June 30. Sorry this is so long, but I have do this step by step or I will get confused. lol
Tone and Cameron, his roommate, flew out of Orlando the morning of June 30. No definite time - LE said you had a 10 or 11 a.m. flight on June 30 and Tone replied "yes". Casey took them to the airport. page 25 http://www.wftv.com/download/2008/0923/17540075.pdf Tone's apartment, Amscot and the airport are all maked on the above linked map. IMO, they would have drove past the Amscot on the way to the aiport.
Gary Ridgeway, the tow truck driver, said on page 5 of his interview http://www.cfnews13.com/uploadedFiles/10%20Gary%20Ridgeway%20Transcript.pdf , he received the call at 8:50 a.m., he arrived at 9:06 a.m. and leaving Amscot with the car at 9:16 a.m.
What time would they leave Tone's apartment for the airport? The map linked above shows the route to the airport from Tone's apt goes past the Amscot. From Tone's to the Amscot is a 5 minute drive. From the Amscot to the airport is an additional 24 minutes for a total drive time of 29 minutes (give or take). Would they have been driving by Amscot when the tow truck driver was hooking up Casey's car?

Most airports require you to arrive 1 hour ahead of the flight. They may have gone by too early to see it towed away, but on the way back home or wherever she went she must have seen that it was goneShe probably did not care at this point because she had Tone's car for now and worry about the furure later.

I am working on the "one year ago" and just finished 6/30. Casey called Amy at 9:45 and told her to open the door. Casey was driving Tone's truck.
I keep looking at Casey's activities trying to understand why she did what she did. If I can was sitting in a parking lot, I would be concerned about it being towed. I forget Casey didn't care. Out of sight, out of mind.

Desmon - First, thank you for all your wonderful work to keep the files and info. You know everyone appreciates it.
On an overseas flight, you have to check in about 2 hrs. before the flight. The planes are so large now that it takes about 45 mins. for loading and sometimes the security lines are very slow and long so US flights also require early check-in. A flight to NY would also require almost 2 hr. check-in.
Thank you. :seeya:
Using the 2 hour check-in, Casey would not have seen a tow truck at Amscot.

George in his interview with I believe Nick Savage mentioned that Casey left her "work bag" in the car.
I know there was much speculation on the boards that she may have left her purse in the car outside Amscot hoping someone would steal her out of gas/almost out of gas car. I do not believe she left a note on the car, that was just BS to Cindy , probably when Cindy was chewing her out on the ride from TonE's.
I can picture Casey claiming it was not her fault, she left a note on the damn car.
I just don't buy that Casey planned for the car to be stolen. IMO her mind is as lazy as she is.

desmom, according to Will Waters' statement, she was out of the car at the airport, going up the escalator to meet Tony (when he was arriving back from NY).....she was on the phone with Wiill. He actually was ready to hang up, because she was picking up her 'boyfriend', but she kept him on the phone.....which gives some insight about what she claimed she did when she went to the airport to pickup. I would have to read the other statements if they claimed she went in with them.
he also has some interesting information regarding her phone conversation on the phone with Tony on the 4 th of July...seems like Tony was pulling her chain, throwing out the possibility he wasnt coming back, his father might send for his car and possessions....seems like tony was pushing her buttons and she got annoyed....
which leads me to believe she was cultivating a relationship with Will 'just in case'....she seems gullible and simple-minded, living moment to moment....his entire statement has alot of eye opening information, esp concerning the 10th of July....she was supposed to go on a helicopter ride with him....then cancelled only after he tried repeatedly to get her..
what was happening on the 10th in her life...could have been anything....according to Will she was constantly doing something, even to the point of cleaning up his entire place after the 4th of July party......
he was also the one that heard her say AND text about the nanny being referenced as na-naw....

If I had helped push her car to the amscott, I would keep my mouth shut and save my money.ITA if I had helped I would keep my mouth shut because I would not want to have to get a lawyer and if you or anyway close to the a;s you or going to have to get a lawyer. It is sad what this is costing people that have nothing to do with what casey did. I think the an;s should have to pay all these peoples legal fees.jmho

desmom, according to Will Waters' statement, she was out of the car at the airport, going up the escalator to meet Tony (when he was arriving back from NY).....she was on the phone with Wiill.

Even if she did go by there and it was gone she prolly wouldn't have noticed...she was to busy dialing or texting.
How true.Out of curiousity is it illegal to text or hold a cell phone while driving almost anywhere now?

Exactly...IMO Caylee was an abused child way before she was murdered.. Just because she didnt have any old fractures DOES NOT mean she wasn't abused.. IMO you dont go from a loving mother to a murderering mom.. I truley believe g and c knew it to.. Look at the videos.. one in tub she happy playing smileing then all of a sudden she's crying.. why? IMO she was afraid of who ever was behind that camera..
I've always wondered if when OC and Cindy were discussing Caylee either 'learning to take shots' or them 'teaching her how to take shots', can't remember which it was, if they were referring to verbal or physical 'shots'. :crying:

George in his interview with I believe Nick Savage mentioned that Casey left her "work bag" in the car.
I know there was much speculation on the boards that she may have left her purse in the car outside Amscot hoping someone would steal her out of gas/almost out of gas car. I do not believe she left a note on the car, that was just BS to Cindy , probably when Cindy was chewing her out on the ride from TonE's.
I can picture Casey claiming it was not her fault, she left a note on the damn car.
I just don't buy that Casey planned for the car to be stolen. IMO her mind is as lazy as she is.

Would they have been driving by Amscot when the tow truck driver was hooking up Casey's car?
jmo
ETA ~ I cannot believe Casey did not drive by the Amscot at some time after she dropped Tone off at the airport to check on her car. jmo
Tony didn't allow her to stay at his apt while he was in NY, so after dropping him at the airport, I believe that she showed up at Ricardos place and spent time with Amy part of that day. (Casey was homeless, and I imagine trying to find somewhere to crash until Tony returned from NY).

some posters had previously inquired as to when she got the tattoo...according to Troy: he had a friend Melissa England, who was visiting out of town...on July 2nd she told Melissa 'they' should go and get a tattoo, Melissa declined. On July 3rd casey showed up with her tatoo.
Troy mentions that Melissa heard her arguing with her mother on the 3rd of July. Later that nite she was upset when they were out at "The Lodge', that her brother was going to come and get her. so they left.

you are correct, she was HOMELESS...and that is the day she called ahead of time to borrow a gas can, then stopped by and ended up going to target with Amy, who bought the gas can.
IMO, I always thought that was an 'excuse' to see Amy and weazel her way into crashing there until Tony came back...imagine that violin song, about her parents, the house situation, which was at that point Amy's business as well (being led to believe she was moving there).......
she had avoided her since the 13th/14th of June when Casey was supposed to drive her to Jacksonville to get a car....kept in contact via text/cell but didnt see her until the 'I need to borrow a gas can' day....

Casey did appear to be a manipulator, didn't she. Homeless, broke, and most likely had left her DL in her car. Casey sure wasn't fairing too good on her own. I can't seem to get my mind to work like hers, so it becomes quite difficult for me to try to figure out what/why/how she did things. You are so right about her trying to weasel her way back into Amy's good graces. IMO, Amy was being a fool, after what Casey had already put her through.
Just a thought....but you can imagine what Cindy was like before Caylee was born. She must have been hell on wheels with no one in her life to love.
Think how evil and coniving she is now and during Caylee's life....then, think of how much evil she could have relesed on Casey and George. Must have been ugly as hell in that home
chuckles.... Caylee was born in Aug 2005. Cindy kicked George out in Dec 2005. Lee moved out I believe Jan 2006.
Cindy had to take George back in, because he was going after 1/2 the house if they divorced. Now that Casey and Caylee are gone, Cindy pulled Lee back in to the home.
Scary, huh?

Thanks so much for this info! Wow, we have to wait until September for another court hearing in the civil case? I guess the wheels of justice do move slowly. I just hope there are so surprises during the next court hearing and that it actually takes place.

Does anyone think that the dollhouse in the A's backyard was very heavy and did it have it's own floor in it.I was thinking that Casey could have used the shovel to pry up and hold up the doll house while she moved Caylee's body from under it to the trunk or vice versa. If there is a little gap between the ground and the floor a small body could be hidden there and who would know except that in summer there would be a smell. The A's did check under this doll house.

Forgive me if I forgot something. Why would Cindy and George check under the doll house if they told everyone they believed Caylee was alive.
That is part of the whole controversy.I am sure that I read that they checked the back yard and under the doll house when looking for Caylee.Of course she would not have been alive if they did look there, but they did do so.

I don't have a linky-dink, but I do believe the purse was left in the car along with the keys. Casey is definitely a ditz, but even *she* wasn't that stupid. She meant that car to be stolen.
Well is there any chance casey accidentally locked her keys inside "the stupid car" and she had no way of getting back in so that's why she just abandoned it? She couldn't have TonE try to help her get in because he would smell how awful it was. Maybe george and cindy had the other keys in their possession and there was no way for casey to get to 'em. Does anyone remember if she had any keys when she was arrested? She could break into her parents home easy enough but why did she have to break into the shed? Wouldn't the shed key be hanging inside the house somewhere or did g and c hide those like when they took the battery out of the car.

I wonder what Casey will be thinking this 4th of July coming up.
Maybe Baez will bring her that flag she was wearing last year at the no cloths party. Ya think she will be able to wrap all 50 states around that big hiney of hers this year? Her FDL says she's 5'2 and weighs 105 pounds. Not any more, Casey darlin.:tonguewag:

The last I read we were going to trial in October on Caylee's murder. Has it been changed again and do they have a specific date.
I know that AL said it would take her months to file all her motions. I get the feeling she is on it sooner than she anticipated.
Are we looking for sometime after January 2010?
This will most likely be televised. If they are smart they will televise it.
(Trutv)
Casey's Trial will probably be delayed until 2010.
There is no way this case is going to trial in October.

It amazes me how they can have all their i's dotted and their T's crossed and they wait for years to try these cases. Always the high profile cases. Baez won't have anything different in 2010 that he doesn't already have now. I wouldn't be surprised if Baez bails out when it gets closer to the trial. He will come up with a very valid excuse why he's firing his client. If he stays with this case he will make a complete fool out of himself. This trial will be one big circus.
Now I remember what Baez is asking the prosecutors for. A list of all their witnesses. All Casey's "acquaintances" have bailed on her. They now know everything in truth about her. How she never graduated from high school, never had a job. No such person as a Nanny. Broke and a thief who would sell her own great grandmother for the right price.
I would have liked to be a fly on the wall when they all got together thereafter and talked about this.
Okay... it's been a very slow day. Let's bring on the NIGHT SHIFT!

Here's a good video interview of Cindy on the M & J show on July 29th. She talks about casey's purse left in her car, (nothing stating it was just a 'work' purse/tote), the inconsistent cadaver dog alerts, Zanny, and a few other things. As usual Cindy winds up being rude and obnoxious and getting Juliet riled up. This is also an interview where she says it will be their (the media's) fault if Caylee isn't found and brought home.
Well worth rewatching almost a year later, and thinking about how she has embellished the stories since that date.

That's the reason why I like the night shift. We can blame this on Casey and the whole famdamnly. If she would have given something up we would have a , either is not contributing or they don't have a clue what to do at this stage. Including Baez himself. As far as he's concerned, the longer the delay the better. Maybe by the time trial begins he will have had more schooling.
I don't understand why it will be all the way into September before they go in front of the Judge to get these depositions straightened out and have him order the Anthony's to march back in there and actually give a full deposition and answer all the questions accordingly.
This whole circus has become rather ridiculous.
ITA DL. It has been ridiculous right from the get-go. And that is partly why people just can't step away from this case. It's a train wreck in action. Just when you think the wreck is over, Cindy and George do something else to cause you to have whiplash once again.
They've been quite quiet since the cross-tearing-down debacle, but I'm sure they're sitting at home dreaming up other ways they can get their faces out in the public. It will happen. Give it time.

This thread is dead tonight. I just finished watching the link of Cindy fighting with the media. I had not seen that one before.
Cindy was obviously covering up for Casey. They all are but when they asked her a direct question her answer never makes any sense.
Hey Deannalynn, Annie, NDY, and Anon...I'm guessing many who usually post here have been wrapped up on threads about MJ and FF, especially since there is nothing new happening in this case right now. By the time this goes to trial we will all be experts in every detail since day 31.
Did you notice in the video when Mike questioned & sort of pushed Cindy regarding clarification of the last date Caylee was seen alive....Cindy said the 16th but she did NOT back that up by mentioning George saw Caylee on that date, as I would have expected. I wonder if Cindy even has a clue that her documented and video taped words over the past year serve as proof of her inconsistencies, lies and a cover up.
Happy belated birthday to our esteemed posters Desmom and Pru!

You are not kidding. They complain the public has all these erroneous ideas, and can't see that they are the reason why the public is so condemning . Maybe if they had put as much effort as they do covering for Casey into ACTIVELY looking for Caylee maybe she could've been found or even looked for before she was. They knew something was up or they wouldn't have been sending Lee to all the local hotspots trying to track Casey down. If everything was so peachy keen what was that about, and why did Cindy write the July 3 post about Caylee being missing and ripped out of her life. OMG - I saw this today and cracked up...all I could think was...wonder if DR inmates could do this...of course, there would be considerably less participants...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMnk7lh9M3o
I think we should suggest this program to the Florida State Board of Corrections...you know, use it as incentive for her to get out of that pesky windowless box she calls home...thats what this prison warden did to reward the criminals for good behavior!!!
Maybe they could do choreography to this one..."Wanna Talk About ME"
by Toby Keith everybody....

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Well we have pictures to prove she likes to dance lmao.
of course her dancing tends to be grinding up on the nearest thing to her but there's plenty of bars in jail, so it could work lol.

OK...you're giving me an inferiority complex... I already have low self-esteem...lol ...and I'm a fragile flower...can you tell?
I have an idea what to do about the slow night time traffic...are you guys interested? If so, please. for the love of God...acknowledge me...I'm needy that way...the kind of needy you read about...
if a tree fell in the forest...Ok, this is my official Casey Anthony impersonation...(Clinch fists (both) gnash your teeth, dial in on the wild freaky eyes (hmmmmmmmmm....who else has those Crazy wild eyes....I'm just sayin'...threaten to walk out of the visitation (like she really COULD - that cracks me up, ...(excuse me, I hate to butt in on your parental visit and all, but there is another inmate we need to move who might even catch a glimpse of you - so if you wouldn't mind going back to your "room" we'd really appreciate it...thank you so much...you are truly a model prisoner...) and then with spittle flying out of your mouth at high velocity, say "OH....COME ON!!!!"
That is my favorite video from this entire case though...bound to be a classic....
I am not good at amusing myself....sorry this is so rambling...
Okay, I'm here. I am in the midst of writing a book (probably not a very good book, so don't get too excited!), and I'm at a stalemate at present.
NYD, I would be quite thrilled to hear of your little plan to accelerate our night time mail service. Please expand!!

I write for a living and my muse usually comes after Midnight... the fact is that I am a night owl and have had chronic insomnia since I was a little kid...I can't seem to write in the daytime because of this - and so I keep fairly strange hours...but really, aren't night people WAY more interesting than 9-5 ers or is it just me?
I totally agree I think anyone one with insomnia has a tiny bit of the crazy going on ( like myself as long as you're harmless it's not a bad thing lol). A little crazy is fun for all.

Everyone is responsible for Caylee's death but the murderer and her family.. Lets not blame casey just because she mudered Caylee it not her fault.. Its the media's fault... and lets not forget it's RK for finding her little skull in a trash bag...that who's fault it is according to the a;s everyone but casey.. So true. I've never seen a group of folks that could find a way to blame any and everyone else for ALL their problems. Remember it was Cindy that didn't want anyone looking for a dead body. Yes ma'am it sure does.. I don't think anyone enjoys being ignored but maybe that's the just the crazy in me lol.
As for Jada Justice that case is so sad I got nauseous when I saw the photos of her "babysitter"/cousin and the cousins boyfriend (with the burn marks all over his face), case closed for him once the jury sees those shots its OVA (over for those that don't speak New Englander.) It's so sad and sickening and there are still people that jump on the mother when she did what any of us would do. She trusted her child with a family member that took good care of her child previously. I thought something was fishy when the babysitter claimed she was taken from the convenience store. These days they all have cameras especially if they stay open late. So when the police didn't give a description of the person that took her the jig was up (in my mind). To find out the horrible facts is just sickening. And the fact that she was found near the spot his father killed his mother, well that is really sad on top of sad.

I think casey should get the same death that she gave Caylee.. hand cuff her hands behind her back shackle her feet then wrap her face in tape several times throw her in the trunk let her die. then throw her away and let the animals eat her and scatter her bones all over..
The Jada Justice murderers show be beat to death, burn and buried in concrete and put in water just like she was...
Maybe if these baby killers would be put to death the same way they murdered these innocent Babies they would get the message ..Lethal injection is too easy for them.. It's not a deterrent

I'm the same way I only trust my kids with my mother my brother and my sister-in-law. However, I've known someone that was a "valued member of society", No one knew they had any addiction let alone heroin, until they were arrested for it. They shot up between their toes and other places track marks wouldn't be noticeable. Shock on top of shock. I'm not accusing your family of watching kiddie porn, what I'm saying is if someone doesn't want their dirt to be found, it won't be until police are involved. A lot of people trust people because they are family and they've known them good times and bad. Statistics show kids are taken, raped, and/or killed, by familiar people more often than by strangers. If evil showed itself those statistics wouldn't be what they are.

I just think we are treading on dangerous territory when we blame the parents for a trusted relative killing their kids. You say you trust your mother, mother-in-law, and sister. If one of them had a boyfriend that happened to be visiting and something happened I wouldn't want anyone to blame you. If someone proves to you 50x's they are capable and loving you'll trust them. If your child dies the 51st time should we blame you? I just think it's an awful standard to set. That's just me. I respect many of your opinions gert, but I can't agree with you blaming a mother for trusting a relative that has watched her child with no incident previous. Who's to say it wasn't a new addiction. I saw the photo of her cousin and she didn't LOOK like a heroin addict so unless the mother observed it how was she to know. Often when people get addicted to things like that they don't like to advertise it.

On August 5, 2008, Cindy said, Casey`s a mom that puts an extra key in her pocket every time she takes her daughter in the car because she`s afraid if she tries to grab too many things and she leaves her purse she doesn't want to lock the car and not have a key that she can get in there and get her purse back out or to take care of her daughter.

A year ago today, Casey had to have been in a little bit of a panic. Tone and his roommate Cameron were preparing for their trips home on June 30 and would not return until July 5. She could not go to her parent's home because Caylee "was with the nanny" and she knew Cindy was not going to buy that story. Casey was about to become homeless.
How did the conversation go between Casey and Tone? Did she ask for a key to his apartment and he said no? What excuse did Tone give her if he did say no?
Lee asked Tone about a break in to his apartment. No date was mentioned. The only thing taken during the break in was $$ from Cameron. Did the break in occur while Tone and Cameron were out of state? Did Casey commit B & E?

Society as a whole can't trust even the parents today. Here we are on this thread talking about the child's own mother murdering her own daughter. This happens everyday in our sick society. In the last 15 -20 years the parents have installed camera's in their home so they can keep track of their little ones with their caregiver no matter who it is.
It's all a shame but we mothers and fathers have to do what we have to do today in order to provide love and security for our children.
I agree with that. But when a parent clearly is not involved in their childs disappearance we shouldn't blame them. We could play devils advocate and say those folks that can afford surveillance cameras in their home do nothing but document the abuse after the fact. Anyone rich or poor that let someone watch their children have a certain degree of expectation. Having surveillance in your home doesn't protect your kids it just provides evidence(if the abuse happens IN FRONT of those cameras.)

True indeed. WTH WAS Casey staying? Couldn't be her car it had already been towed.

Casey dropped Tone and Cameron off at the airport and headed for Amy, Ricardo and JP's and stayed until Tone returned.
I did a little reading about the school Tone was attending. IMO, it is an accelerated program. Last year, Tone was probably looking at graduating soon. Tone had said he would return to NY after graduation. Was Casey planning (hoping, praying) Tone would pop the question? Remember this: page 30 http://www.cfnews13.com/uploadedFiles/Stories/Local/Anthony%20pgs%202751-2800%20f.pdf
What was her back-up plan or should I say who was her back-up plan? Will? Mark Hawkins?

I get what you're saying. However if they were doing heroin that's not an easy drug to cover up that you are doing. Should have seen track marks.. Or long sleeves in hot weather..
PD thought cousin was on
something.. Trust me I dont trust too many people nor did I with my kids..Mom , sister in law, mil, and grandma.. None of them was watching kiddie porn. I have 2 sisters one wrapped up in herself and the other one was on drugs.. never left my kids with either of them..Sister finally clean now and drug and alcohol counselor.. today I would trust my kids with her but not then.. My kids were and are my most prized possessions.. I didn't trust them with just anyone.. Nor would now with My grandson.. I know everyone who watches him and thats not many..
They were snorting the H. So no need for track marks. According to the article.
So So sad.
I did start a thread under Crimes section. Never really cared to learn to play the piano..lol

How long did Casey think Cindy would buy the Caylee is with the Nanny stories? She managed to make it through the July 4 holiday. Caylee's birthday was coming up and IMO, Cindy would not tolerate not seeing Caylee on her birthday.
If the car had not been impounded, how long could Casey have carried on the charade?

IMO, if Cindy hadn't "broken ranks" due to her rage over Casey costing them money, the entire Anthony family would have hid Caylee's death from everyone. Just like they attempted to deny that Casey was ever pregnant.

Someone brought this up a day or so ago.........when was the date that Cindy texted kc telling her "We have a problem"
What problem was that? That the car had been towed and not stolen?
Was C hoping to send kc a text to get kc to call her ? If that car had not been towed.....things would be a lot different. The A would have had time to get rid of it......but since Caylee was missing, as they probably figured that the car would eventually have to be accounted for, they were up against another wall.
If i were C my message would have been something like....if you dont get you & Caylee's behind home NOW. I am calling the law. I am afraid that you are both dead.................. Why pussyfoot around?

I think casey should get the same death that she gave Caylee.. hand cuff her hands behind her back shackle her feet then wrap her face in tape several times throw her in the trunk let her die. then throw her away and let the animals eat her and scatter her bones all over..
The Jada Justice murderers show be beat to death, burn and buried in concrete and put in water just like she was...
Maybe if these baby killers would be put to death the same way they murdered these innocent Babies they would get the message ..Lethal injection is too easy for them.. It's not a deterrent
So true! And you know what really makes me mad? Alot of these convicted criminals come back to court years later arguing that the death penalty is "cruel and unusual" punishment! Give me a break! they're getting off easy compared to their victims.

On August 5, 2008, Cindy said, Casey`s a mom that puts an extra key in her pocket every time she takes her daughter in the car because she`s afraid if she tries to grab too many things and she leaves her purse she doesn't want to lock the car and not have a key that she can get in there and get her purse back out or to take care of her daughter.
http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0808/05/ng.01.html
Something had to happen to precipitate that action. Either Casey locked her keys in the car with Caylee routinely or she was caught locking Caylee in the car and lied about the keys being locked in there too.

Simple. Caylee's Dad showed up and demanded custody. They could tell people they were fighting it. In most cases it would be hard to hide the absence of a 2 year old. Not so hard in this case.

That is exactly what Casey had been telling everyone. And, for a month. Casey was already moving on to new friends who wouldn't ask her questions about Caylee. Casey left her home, so she wouldn't have to answer questions about Caylee. Now Casey sits in jail.

JMO
Good morning everyone,
It probably would not have been that hard to excuse Caylee's absence IF THE ANTHONY'S wanted to....If Cindy and George would have realized what happened to Caylee before calling 911, they could have explained her absence for a short time by saying that she was with another family member or what ever, while they made plans to split from everyone around them.....like move far away where no one knew them and cut all ties to anyone that was close to them....
It would have taken some planing but I believe that the Anthony's would have done it to save Casey from what is yet to come....
They could have easily discarded any large remains that could be found in those woods and the rest would have went unnoticed....JMO
There have been many cases where peple have been charged wth murder of a child that took place 50 years or so earlier when another child tells from guilt....
If they would have stayed in that area and around all the people that knew them, it would have been impossible to pull off as Desmom says...there would have been too many people questioning where Caylee was and someone would have called the police eventually.....

Well worth rewatching almost a year later, and thinking about how she has embellished the stories since that date.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZvEhnzlobA&feature=related
I hadn't seen this in a while. How can Cindy blame the media for not finding Caylee with no blame on Casey?

It sounds like he met Casey on July 4 when she went with Amy to his house to decorate for a 4th of July party.
On page 2, they had to go to Total Wine (liquor store, I think) to get a bucket for the keg. They would not sell them one because Casey did not have an ID.**
Casey played hostess at the party by making sure everyone was taken care of and cleaned up after the party.
On July 5, Casey was at his door at 9:30 a.m. and they hung out together. Over lunch Casey told Waters she was getting a place with a friend who also has children so the could split the expense of Caylee's nanny. Later Casey called Will on the way to pick up Tone at the airport. She talked to him all the way up the escalator at the airport.
Casey and Will made several dates, but Casey never showed. His only contact with her after 7/05 was by phone or text messages.
**This is the 2nd time a witness reported Casey did not have an ID. Matt Crisp showed Tone an apartment on June 19. Or, Casey had been admonished by Cindy for leaving Caylee unattended in an unlocked car when she was out and about.
I really have gotten the impressions that Casey treated Caylee like more of a possession, and really didn't have those special feelings/bond that a mother has with a child. I don't think that Casey had that fear/emotion that most mothers have in regards to their children.

desmom, that "no id" thing going on with Casey, may have been because her DL was in fact inside her car (which by this time had been towed). However, we know that Casey showed some type of ID when she cashed Amy's checks. Is the speculation still that the defense is going to try the
"someone else killed Caylee" and is framing Casey?
The reason I ask is my mind started wandering while having a walk this morning ....I live in a rural area and we have dead animals from time to time along the edge of the woods and as I walked I smelled first and saw last a dead raccoon (I think it was) and of course I thought about poor Caylee.
And started to think.....if someone else killed Caylee and wanted to blame it on Casey why would they even take the body out of the trunk.
Why not leave it there.
Why take a chance that someone might see if they dumped it
in the woods where she was found?
Would it not be more convincing if the "remains" were still in the trunk
when the car was towed and the Anthony's got it.
The man from the impound yard was there when the trunk was opened so we know that George or Cindy did not take the remains and hide it.
Although I would not have put it past them to do that had they been alone when they opened the trunk and found her.
I mean why would anyone think someone else put the body in the trunk and then went to the trouble of removing it .....doesn't make any kind of sense to me.....the only person who needed to hide/throw away the
remains is Casey.IMO
That and the 31 days would be enough for guilty verdict IMO.

Casey probably had more than one DL. I worked with a lady, (kinda scatter brained), who went to the DMV and told them she had lost her license so she could get a new one. She hadn't really lost her license, just wanted to have 2 so she'd never be without one if she needed it. She carried one in her purse and left one in her car in case she forgot to grab her purse.
Casey had plenty of time on her hands but I doubt she was smart enough to make up her own fake ID.

Lee told the investigator that he saw casey's d.l and another i.d. that was smaller but the police officer standing there suddenly snatched this id out of the wallet. Lee was somewhat shocked about how fast she(LE) jerked that card out of there.
light bulb moment: casey didn't leave her wallet in the car, purse yes but not the wallet because Lee picked it up from AL and Lee,George and Cindy went through it and found the JcPenny and Sears credit card along with approx. $200.00 cash all twenty's that Cindy stashed in her pocket.

(bolded by me) Actually, we don't know this. George made an effort to be sure that the towyard fellow saw for himself that there was no body in the trunk, before George drove away. ...that sort of makes me highly suspicious. If George thought that the smell was of a dead body, then why didn't he immediately call 911? It's too bad that the towyard fellow didn't immediately dial 911.

I can tell now it will take a long time for this to ever go to trial. I sure am glad casey is in jail and I don;t see anyone elce that could have done this since there is no nanny. I have no idea when they will ever have a trial but I guess as long as casey is in jail everything is ok. I just wish the a;s could be stoped from making money of off little Caylee. I wish the money to them would stop. They need to go back to work. I would have thought g and c would have gotten casey out of jail by now with all the money they or making but I dont think they want her out of jail because they don;t know what she will do next. They think she will mess up again. They may not even want her in their house. I am sure no one in the family wants to deal with her and all the lies she is telling. If jb don;t have any cases but casey;s what is he living on? I know lawyers have to do so many cases a year pro bono but they don;t have to do all of them that way.All the def.lawyers and other people just want their name on tv so they can have more cases in the future.jmho

The guy actually took the garbage bag and dumped it's contents in the trash there.
He was there at the trunk.
Yes it smelled of decomp but I do not see any way George could have taken the body out of the trunk there at the yard.....where would he have been able to hide it.

(the notice that was left on the front door of the Anthony home on July 11th, did identify the towyard) I'm not completely convinced that was the very first time that George may have been to the towyard. If it was, then you are right, George probably didn't have the opportunity at that time, to remove anything from the trunk.
It is interesting to note that the towyard fellow did go back and search for that bag, once he saw the news about Caylee. (LE had already retrieved it though).

Remember that Casey was a nobody local criminal when she hooked up with Baez initially, and there was absolutely no way Baez could even dream that this case might go national providing him with a bunch of publicity.Absolutely, these guys want their money up front - because most people who need defense attys are not able to afford them. Youd on't see pro bono attys for the prosecution and the only reason tort lawyers are pro bono is b ecuase they take a HUGE HUNK of any judgments. A old neighbor of mine had to pay $4000 up front on a simple case of allegedly pushing his wife. I can only imagine how much a heavy-duty case like this would cost.l Don't forget Mark Garegos allegedly got a million for defending Scott Peterson and he then had to have the state pay for his experts. You sure don't hear of any well-known defense attorneys jumping in to defend Casey. No Mickey Sherman, no Mark Garegos, no Geoffrey Feiger, no Roy Black, no Gerry Spence.
Yes, they have LKB, but I never heard of her until Spectre and then only in regards to conflict of interest. Ditto for Andrea Lyon.
