Daughter/Husband Killed, mom calm

I cannot find a story to go with this... but something seems VERY off to me. This mother is so calm even after saying her 10 year old daughter has been shot in the head and is bleeding from her mouth... then goes on to whine about her leg hurting and never mentions her child or husband again.

I'm sorry... I'm not buying her version of the story. If anyone can find anything more.... I'd be glad to read it.

she was shot in the leg wasn't she? I did not think she sounded uncaring, she sounded dazed and scared to me

Excuse me for thinking I was entitled to my opinion.
In my opinion ~ no matter what... my first and main concern would have been my child.... but I guess that's just me.

I know a woman who just will not raise her voice no matter what. Everything she says is so flat that it's really annoying to listen to her speak for any length of time. There is absolutely no emphasis placed on any type of pronunciation with her. Each and every syllable is as flat as the one before. The woman however is a very nice lady; though that's beside the point.

I too thought the call was odd, but maybe the woman is just like the woman I referenced above? It's so odd that her family would be killed, then we hear her telling these people to get out of her house. Why would they kill the family and leave a witness behind? It makes no sense, but if LE has made an arrest, I guess it just stays in the category of not making any sense?

Maybe she was in shock. When you hear about some of the things people go through in this life,you wonder how they can even go on living.

From having been in a few crisis's myself, I know that I become very calm sounding while the crisis is going on and for a short time afterward. To hear me, you would think that I was not upset at all. Granted, I have never witnessed my family die. But it is as if I go into automatic pilot for a short time. After I begin to feel safe and there are others around to take care of things, I fall apart. I suspect this is what has happened to her because she does begin to sound more upset as the tape goes on.
