"While the information surrounding who she was and what happened to her cannot be verified, some bloggers and news outlets say she was Neda Soltani, who was attending the protests with her father. The name "Neda" means voice or call in Farsi, and conflicting reports have her age at anywhere from 16 to 27."

Whether you agree or disagree with the protests, she will be remembered for paying the ultimate price in support of what she believed. :rose:

So sad. They've had some photos of her before the protests - she was beautiful, was moving towards her goals in her life (she's 27 by the reports I read - and a student and more).

And because she lived in a country that pretended to be a partial democracy, and is now turning into a dictatorship, and protested that, it's all cut short, extinguished. Of course, had we elected "bomb bomb bomb Iran" people - it could have been cut short that way too. I sure hope this ends well for Iran, that the people win. Whenever there is a war, a revolution, any of this - we forget that all those numbers, people killed, are each individuals, as unique in their own way as Neda.

What a bunch of heartless ####### these people are. No wonder Iran is in revolt in a quest for civil rights.

RIP NEDA:rose:

Iranian news has been reportedly lying, claiming there is an Interpol investigation into her death (you know, looking for the 'real' killers) - there isn't.

The whole thing is on video - and they seem to think they can spin it. No doubt, like anywhere, there are some who will buy any spin, never mind the facts.
