Since Noah has already named her new kitty Willow, I decided to start a whole new thread about pet names. Just found this yesterday -

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/31429192/

Bam-Bam Noodle Butt? 10 wackiest dog & cat names

My favorites so far are Clawed Monet & Picatso. But it's hard to beat Doogie Schnauzer MD (MD = My Dog).

What wacky pet names do you know? Or have named your pets? I have a ceramic bulldog I call LTD - for Larry The Dog. I have sworn I will name the next dog I have the same thing.

Many years ago I had a cat named Watermelon.

Don't EVEN ask how I happened to name her that. It's so long ago I forget. (No, she wasn't fat.)

Years ago, my best friend had a black lab named Eleven-Thirty. Reason?.......his mother's name was Midnight.

What amazed me was how easy it was to actually get used to the name. At first, Eleven-Thirty seemed SO weird to call a dog. But after a while, you'd think nothing of it. Eleven-Thirty was the sweetest dog, we all loved him.

`I named the black cat we rescued Genghiz Khan because of his personality. Of course, we didn't call him that; we called him Jenggy, or sometimes Jenghiz.

This is a little OT but your dog name reminded me....I worked somewhere where I had a client name her twins Today and Tomorrow because they were born right before and after midnight!

The running joke in our family for years was that my sister would name her kids Spot and Fluffy because she named all her pets regular "people" names. She had cats name Christine and Louise and a dog named Luke.

I don't blame them. I wouldn't let him name my cat, either.

I named my little kitten boy Kenobi when he was just a tiny little guy. Now, 3 years later, Jabba might have been more appropriate. :crying:

My friend adopted a puppy and while in search for the "perfect" name she called her Puppy com'ere after constantly chasing her in the yard. 12 years later, in her twilight years, she's still called Puppy com'ere and is as spunky as ever.

Ohhhh, I have relatives like that. The wife has been called Muffy her entire life (which sounds more like a pet's name, to me). The dogs had people names - Ashley & Brittany.
