Casey called Matt Crisp to ask if he still leased apartments, he said he did. Tone and Casey meet with Matt in the a.m. Casey did not have her id with her so she was not able to see the apartment. We can live in hope. I don't see why the court is tiptoe-ing around the Anthonys anyway. In strict legal terms, they are not a party to this case except as witnesses, and as such they shouldn't have any say in setting the agenda ... unless somebody's designated them unindicted co-conspirators and forgot to tell me. They have no standing to block anything. A document release would distress them, but flying to New York or Los Angeles to stay in fancy hotels, being served gourmet meals, and spew their nonsense on talk shows doesn't seem to faze them much.

I would think that most parents would feel distress if their own daughter was being tried for Murder. Instead, the Anthony seem to take the position that they have the right to order the court to do something against that is against the law (Sunshine Law), just because they are afraid of feeling even more stress. ...I just don't get it. And, I think that I am very, very glad that I can't think like any of the Anthonys. LOL

Here is one more person that Casey lied to. He said that she told him that she needed the shovel to dig up a bamboo root. Yet, one has to wonder if she was NOT living at the Anthony home, why would she need to dig anything up. Even BBurner had figured this out, by the time he gave an interview to LE.

Here are the last few entries on the Clerk of Courts records in the Criminal Case. I think the one on 6/17 indicated that Judge Strickland now has access to the autopsy report. And, the 6/18 one, could someone have failed to properly serve notice to someone, and had to do a do-over? I wish these had just a little more detail to them.

So the release of the autopsy report will bring about distress and anguish? Where was the anguish the day the A's flew home from LA in December? They were told a child's remains were found minutes from from their home. Did these distressed, anguished grandparents make an attempt to go to the crime scene? Instead, these distraught, anguished grandparents made their way to the Ritz and had dinner. If the news that Caylee may have been found did not bring about anguish, why oh why are they being so overly dramatic about an autopsy report? :angry:

Are the A's really concerned about their emotional well being or are they afraid the truth contained in this report will have a significant impact on donations for the CMA Foundation? At this point, I do not believe the A's give a hoot the report may link Casey directly to Caylee's death. They are only worried about themselves.

Maybe Baez is trying to stay out of the media since every time he opens his mouth in front of them and the rest of the world he looks and sounds like an idiot.
Of course I am just about convinced that the only people associataed with any of the Anthonys are nuts .
The more they talk the more it becomes evident.

I just watched the video tha Sun posted of the interview with Bill Schaeffer (thanks Sun). He said there was no legal basis for the motion. He also went on to say that good lawyers typically do not file motions with no legal basis. My bet is that if there was no Andrea Lyon on the case, Baez would have filed the motion as well. I don't think Lyon would put up with filing a motion with no legal basis. imo

Here it is, two-thirds through June, and the defense appears to be no closer at providing a defense for Casey, than they were two months ago. The death penalty was put back on the table, I believe on April 13th. It took until June 12th for the defense to get a qualified attorney on board... at least June 12th was the date that Judge Strickland approved the ad hoc vice.

Yes, Casey is sitting in the jail, and for that I am grateful. Grateful that society is being protected from her. I just sometimes wish that her address was a prison. An address on death row would be ok, however, LWOP might serve just as well.

I have no sympathy for a "grieving" family who appears on tv with their sob story and "CMA FUNDation" but is against any REAL details to come of this poor baby's autopsy... This is about the tragic loss of this beautiful angel.... it's NOT about them. disgusting...:mad:

I liked his comparison between Casey's reaction to the Blanchard park search and the actual body location search. He was asked if the defense could argue that Casey was having a normal reaction since the body was found so close to home, but it seems to me that Casey should have had an even more severe reaction to the Blanchard park search because - correct me if I'm wrong - wasn't that one of the location for one of Casey's stories about the abduction?

Sounds like we should have that autopsy report in no time, and I think 10 times more people will have a look at it because the Anthonys have drawn extra attention to it.

There has never been a positive ID on who is/was Caylee's biological father at this point..?

Could at some time, Casey be asked, under oath , who the real father was ?

I would imagine the impact he would have (if he is alive and able to) at the sentencing phase, telling how he was kept from Caylee, and then only learning she was his daughter after her death.

What are the latest theories on who her father might be?

I believe the last I read, that Lee was ruled out.

Quite true ... I wouldn't even have read it. Autopsy reports are dry, clinical, and I prefer to hear the court's interpretation of the results rather than wade through it myself.

If her story is that Cayley was taken by Zaneida at Blanchard Park, news reports were that a body was possibly found there, and she yawned and walked away ... then she's got a big problem with her reaction to the actual discovery of the remains. I liked the legal analysts comments about there being several missing children, so only the murderer would be freaking if a body was found where they left a body.

I remember reading about her reaction at the time Blanchard Park was searched, and I'm sure I wasn't the only one to be surprised at how relaxed she was about it all. I was on pins and needles until it was reported that it wasn't a body.

Someone suggested last night that Leonard may have deliberately staged the Blanchard Park discovery to provoke a reaction ... I like Leonard.

Yes, but it was already stated that no manner of death could be determined... after all bones were assessed, etc. I had hopes of that, too.. before the initial presser about the autopsy.. but I'm doubting it.
