Arrest is such an ugly word. Detained and questioned is probably more accurate.
Therefore, I do understand the suspicion that would befall a person who happened upon a body. Especially one that was buried and you had a vested interest in the person.
That's where Kronk would get more slack. I'd give him a half hour, tops to be questioned and released. But, you're right about one thing. His life would have been hell after that fateful day.
OMG Boo, I'm so sad this happened to you and your family  Was this your brother or someone in the immediate family? I don't want to get too personal, and excuse please if I just did--just wondering if this was immediate family. I'm so sad this happened to your family. :rose:

Look how Lee is hovering in the background throughout this video, right behind Cindy, seemingly to want to stop her  but he doesn't say anything or try to get her under control or get her to go inside, stop her tirade?
He know's there is no way to stop her. We know this and have never met her and have only had a year to observe her erratic and irrational behavior, he's been around it his whole life.

If anyone missed seeing this video earlier, I highly recommend it.
It is Kathi Belich interviewing Bill Sheaffer regarding the autopsy report.
Sheaffer is so clear and concise in his explanation of why the A's have no legal standing and
why Judge Strickland will release that autopsy report tomorrow!
RAW INTERVIEW: Legal Analyst Says Caylee Autopsy Report Will Be Released
WFTV legal analyst Bill Sheaffer talks the possible release of Caylee Anthony's autopsy report. (06/18/09)
http://www.wftv.com/video/19794253/index.html
ETA: Sheaffer makes one great observation after the other in this vid.
One of his best - He thinks that Conway and Baez are working "hand in glove."
And it should be! (Autopsy report)
When is George and Cindy going to realize this is not all about George and Cindy. They have put themselves front and center from day one and it's time for everyone to stop handling them with kid gloves.
Attention is their life. They feed off it. They complain about the media, the reporters, everyone else's business is their business. Yet, they use the same people to get them air time, magazine time, and news time.
They figure as long as they can remain in the spotlight they will make money.

Sadly, I completely agree with you. It becomes more and more obvious as the time goes by, because their actions are certainly not benefitting anyone. It makes Casey look even guiltier, it makes George look spineless, Cindy look overbearing, Lee look suspicious, and it makes them ALL look like liars. The worst thing of all is it makes it look as though Caylee never got to have a family that loved her unconditionally and completely. :crying:

It's a great video, but I am wondering where he says that Cindy and George "have no standing" because it's not them that's on trial and the reason they are using is not even a legal ground for the judge to use in his ruling----I am wondering if Brad C sees he is going to lose his bid to keep the autopsy private, will Baez stand and make a motion on Casey's behalf, which should have been done in the first place, maybe? I am wondering this because Sheaffer said he would not be surprised to see Conway and Baez working hand in hand soon. JMO

No, I do not think that the jewelery was purchased prior to the fundation being formed.
I may be incorrect about this so please don't quote me..............
nor do I the pubic who donated money paid for their jewlery.. just like they've paid for bills and gum water P.I's clothes attorneys....before they started selling interviews and Caylee's pictures and video's

IIRC, and this is fuzzy, they formed a "first" FUNDation that eventually the banker on board quit, dissolved, whatever happened - and those early records about donations are not available  No trail.
So the second FUNDation was formed after the demise of the first--which was formed within DAYS of Cindy realizing Caylee was "missing". Going for the money happened SO fast. How would someone really grieving even be able to think about getting the wheels in motion for donations, this quickly, and a FUNDation to make it all tax exempt?

Hey CrimeQ - sup? I got a pm from a friend of mine (NotDarkYet), she's going to be on in a few. She wants to "talk" and get some good conversation going.
Let me ask you a question.... Do you think Casey went back to the crime scene after disposing of the body? Criminals usually return to the scene, right?

Hey Boss! Late night talk is good, but I can only be here for a little while. Leaving for a trip tomorrow and still have some stuff to do.
So are we going to get the autopsy report? I think, YES.
Will it be released immediately if the judge rules that it's permissible?
Don't know about Casey returning to the dump site. But remember Cindy and George stating emphatically that "she had been moved, numerous times". Hmmmmm.

happygert, you quoted me.............but seriously,
I cannot believe that the general public could support these people, especially in today's economy.
You mis understood me sorry.. what I meant is c and g have paid for nothing out of their pocket since Caylee went missing.. Everything they bought was paid for from the doantions they were begging for to help find Caylee and the so called trust fund they set up for Caylee.. the public to my knowledge ar no longer donating anything to them..
to put it in a nut shell the money they were begging for was and is a scam.. they scammed the public now the public is wise.. Now they are selling interviews, videos and pictures of Caylee. Now they are living off of their murdered granddaughter...Lets just hope the public are no longer sending these low life scammers anything....

Nags at me too Pru.
They're looking for a missing two year old, by that time presumed dead by law enforcement? Right? It's a major case locally, and nationally, the entire nation is following it minute by freaking minute. And Kronk say's it's over there, pointing into the woods. It's dismissed in probably, what? 15 seconds?
And they still missed it. IMHO Kronk ain't the smartest knife in the drawer. He says okay to the deputy, sorry I brought you out here... but calls the tip line 2 more times, on two consecutive days!!!!!!! WTH?
And then he waits another three months to get back to the body.
Can you say low IQ?
IIRC, Kronk didn't go back to the spot for 3 months because he had been transferred by his job to a different location. It was when he was transferred back to that area that he resumed his searching.

I think yes.. Schmindy and the Lemming have no legal grounds. It will be about around 11:30am EST, I am betting.
Yeah, that's why I asked about moving the body... She said that, and she knew that for a fact. (cough, cough).

I think it was the water level. Given that Kronk has a background as a bounty hunter, and that he had "vibes" about this dumping ground, AND that the water level was so high for several months that locating anything would not have happened .... AND that he went back as soon as the water receded! ... and found the bag with Caylee's remains.
I'm on the fence about Kronk. He may have had a genuine "feel" for where a body could easily be placed. I think in the long run he was looking/hoping for the reward, probably not realizing he wouldn't qualify for it because he found the body while working a public utilities job.
He was undeterred in getting the remains noticed and found. His good sense? Logic? More? I don't know.
I will say I'm very grateful to him that he pressed on until Caylee's remains were found.
Whoever the CT family is, that is supposedly funding Casey's defense and the living expenses of the AntFam, should pay him what he would have been able to collect as a reward, had he simply found the remains as a private citizen, and not while on the job.

check out the time on here DT...I think we have ESP...I am listening to your video suggestion where Bozo can't seem to string 3 words together - and oh, Lord...please...shut up, Dimwit...can't take any more of his insipid ramblings...lol
Yup.. His rambling comes from hanging around with Casey. He's been afflicted with rambling mindless doubletalk. A poor public speaker. Very poor.
HE'S A ROOK.. A ROOKIE. A GREENIE. He's the waterboy too.

DT -
Is is ok to start a rant about anything yet? Will anyone find that to be a problem?...that video of Bozo...can I comment about what I am thinking about whenever I see him or hear him "try" to attempt some form of human communication?...(I think even clicks and knocks would confuse him)...but I have an image burned in my noodle that is even more vivid now that The Amazon has joined the team...but I can wait...lol:cool:
There's no set discussion. Throw something out. We'll chew on it for a while.
Senor Bozo disgusts me. He doesn't look like someone I would trust.

ETA, thinking more about this. The area was SO close to the house, wooded -- easy dump spot -- and Tim M tried to search there and had to pull back because of the water level and possible damage to Caylee's remains. (Good call.) Kronk may have fully agreed that this was one of the most logical dump spots, so close to the AntHouse, and kept a watch on the area and waited for the waters to recede. That could be it in a nutshell and make perfect sense. It was a LOGICAL place to look for the body, and as soon as conditions made it available, Kronk was there.
One of our posters recently was vacationing there and drove by all these sites, and said how CLOSE the body was to the house, more than it seemed from the media reports. This just seems a logical place to me, to look. So Tim M had to bow out because of the water, and Kronk kept on until the water reduced. I'm thinking this isn't rocket science.

SM is a complex site. Whoever gave the directions to go there should have provided directions (OMG, or even a LINK!) to get to the right thread.
I haven't been there for a long time and maybe not for this case at all, but I do recall that it's busy and varied and hard to find info if you don't have the specific thread.
Maybe it's improved since I visited last, but I doubt it :sneaky:
