Oh yeah...she calls a spade a spade but she means it in racists terms.

I was waiting for someone to have a Coulter thread.

This is from 2002.

She is a wretch...

That is your interpretation. Mine is that she speaks the truth.

You may consider it my interpretation but everything printed there is EXACTLY what she said.

Along with calling Al Gore a "total fag", Muslims are "rag heads", "jihad moneys", "camel jockeys" and Jews are people who need to be "perfected".

So, yeah, my interpretation is that she is a complete and TOTAL RACISTS.

I am the one who used the expression "calls a spade a spade" and I assure you nothing racist was intended.

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/spade?jss=1

5. call a spade a spade, to call something by its real name; be candidly explicit; speak plainly or bluntly: To call a spade a spade, he's a crook.

I am completely aware that you used the expression and I pointed out how AC would have used that expression.

I believe most of use did not need a defination of the expression but thanks.

Doesn't negate the issue of her being a racists.

The thing about Ann (and Rush) they make you think. Doesn't mean you agree with what they say, but there's usually food for thought in everything they say. Glenn Beck, too.

Why not welcome back the plague? Or small pox while you're at it?

The only things that Ann, Rush and the like, make me think about is the degree of hatefulness that still runs amuck in this country and that they take no responsibility for the messages of hate they put out there.

AC is the LAST person out there who should be correcting anyone on "history".

If she was correct in what she said, why shouldn't she correct anyone on "history?" And BTW, she was correct in what she said about Canada.

Incorrect, they did not send fighting troops, as she implies, to Vietnam. They sent peacekeeping troops....NOT the same. Canadians did not fight in Vietnam. They were part of the Paris Peace Accords of 1973. SHE IS WRONG....

AND just tell me how she is not a racists with this episode of Big Ideas with Donny Deutsch and how she says the "Jews need to be perfected"....

Even HE tells her how racists she sounds!

I don't agree with her on anything, but all during the primary season you knew that Obama was going to just be the second term of Carter. What is disheartening is that he will probably create more harm than Carter did and won't have any of the good points Carter had.

And there is plenty of that hate around. Here is a chilling example sent out by a member of the GOP in Tenn. They seem to think it was only wrong because they accidentally sent it to the wrong email list. Take a look at the picture. There is a culture of hate in this country and Coulter is one who takes full advantage of it all the way to the bank.

# E-mail shows U.S. presidents; Obama depicted as white eyes on black background
# It was sent by aide to Diane Black, head of Tennessee Senate Republican Caucus
# Aide says she sent it to "the wrong list of people;" Black says she won't be fired
# Tennessee Democrats call the e-mail "racist smear," call for aide to be fired

As a group, they are the pop culture equivalent of necrotic carrion beetles, crawling with insectile determination from one infected open wound in the American psyche to another. The wounds include fear of race, fear of foreigners, fear of sexuality, fear of difference, hysterical religious fundamentalism, violent nationalism, and paranoia. They lay their eggs in the infected abrasion, then scuttle away. When the eggs hatch, disgorging rage and discontent, they start counting money.

When challenged on the inherently destructive nature of their enterprise, they invariably claim that their First Amendment right to free speech is being abrogated. Or, like Coulter defensively does in those instances, they cite their place on the New York Times bestseller list. Or the ratings. In other words, since people buy it, watch it, or listen to it in huge numbers, it must have merit, and it must be right.

flawed logic. All the 9/11 terrorists were Muslim. Not all Muslims are terrorists.

IMO

Why is it that an article about Obama's speech in Cairo that criticizes and corrects is being turned into a referendum on Ann Coulter's PAST writings??
For all that seem to hate her, you are spending a lot of time digging up what you think is dirt on her to try and negate her critique of Obama NOW.

If you don't like her - fine. But you come out with as much hate against her as you criticize her for having. You are no better in my book.

This is about the article she wrote about Obama....let's deal with that one.

Because she has no credibility, and her past rants support that position. With Coulter, in my opinion, it's all about the money. The nastier more hate filled her writing the more money she figures she'll make.

Hate? Is that your opinion, or are you attempting to post a fact? I would be very careful who you assert is filled with hate.

Clearly, anyone can see that Couler is a Hate Monger. IMO JMHO

Most people roll their eyes when her name comes up, so it's not like she's truly respected. Look, we voted in Obama, we are nowhere near wherever her head is at.
