The way I interpret the Anthony's objection to the release of the autopsy is not that they themselves would be upset reading the contents. They would be upset because the results would be discussed by us, the great unwashed public. We might say something nasty. Or rude. They don't want their feelings hurt.
Perish the thought. :sneaky: IMO that is not a very smart way of thinking. People will be speculating MORE when they don't have the information than they will if they HAVE the information. With no autopsy report speaking to the truth, rumors will be rampant.
Where is their anguish when they were at the Ritz Carlton, eating well and away from everything? I have yet to see a picture of either of them when they look like they have been grieving in any way shape or form.
It's all about THEM, never about the truth or justice. moo

Not trying to be mean or rude, but did Sean have a speech problem?
Not that I noticed when I heard audio recordings. Let's just say he's not a linear thinker. I wasn't wild about his writing style, either, but he made more sense blogging than he did talking.
No harm intended by me, either. RIP, Sean.

You know, I don't believe anything out of CA's mouth if it's not corroborated, but after reading Sean K's interview it sounds like her email really was hacked. I remember back during the Kobe Bryant case a member here had their yahoo account hacked (personal emails were actually posted here). It's very simple to do, especially if the person's password is easy to figure out (birthday, child's name, etc.). I'm assuming that Sean got those emails around the same time as Kathy Belich.

Yep, remember the conversation between them in jail?
Lee: When you were at Universal, was that for work or fun?
Casey: Well it wasn't fun.
Lee: Ok, I understand.
.....throw in LE's cryptic comment of "Lee knows what he has done" made around the time immunity was being discussed by Luka, Lee's attorney.

Odd.
arghhhhh!!!! When I woke up this morning (after thunderstorms last night), I realized that there were severe problems going on with my cableTV/internet service. It took me six hours just to get through their automated phone systems and get anyone to schedule for a Service Call. Repairman showed up in record time, and I think that nearly all of my neighbors flocked to his truck to tell him that their service was messed up! ....and he has finally figured out the problem for ME, but doesn't have enough "parts" on his truck to fix mine and everyone elses. What a day to have this happen!

She sounds like a busy body to me. JMO
She sounds like just one more wack-o to me. The Anthonys definitely attract things that crawl out from under rocks.
I think LE was not happy with Ricardo, seems like he may have deleted some emails he sent to someone from the Globe. The ones she sent him were there on his computer but his replies were missing, he said he may have replied thru his G mailaccount via his work computer instead of his laptop, but I think LE was skeptical. Apparently Rico sold some photos to the Globe. I doubt he was hiding something deep and dark but enough that LE really seemed to be pressuring him.

Your eyes read it pretty good. 4/24/06 is her termination date. Casey had been in the practice of cashing her payroll checks at the Amscot, and the last one that she cashed there was in March 2006. ....I do recall vaguely that someone once mentioned that Casey just quit going to work, and that eventually led to her bring fired. So, Casey may not have actually "worked" up until 4/24/06.

Michelle Murphy interview is interesting. We already knew most of it. Lee told Cindy about Casey being pregnant again and Cindy freaked.
Wonder if she really was pregnant? Or was she trying to trap Brandon into marriage. Said she wanted to live on base with Brandon, baby and Caylee. How long did she date this Brandon? Anyone know?
jmo
I was trying to respond to this and couldn't get back in...
Casey said she was pregnant in Feb. - early March 07, Brandon leaves shortly after that for Iraq, Casey has a meltdown or a miscarriage - Michelle Murphy was not sure what happened first.
Michelle said the meltdown was because Casey had imagined this life with Brandon, Casey and Caylee would live on base, Casey would have the baby in October, Casey would play June Cleaver, I mean be a housewife...but Brandon didn't play according to Casey's script. He went off to Iraq with no "come with me and live on base" invitations.
IMO, the meltdown came lst and then the "miscarriage". Casey had to blame the "miscarriage" on something and a good old fashion meltdown was just the thing she needed...well besides a witness to the meltdown...call Michelle Murphy. Casey must have been reading those Once upon a time...white picket fences...2.3 kids, a dog, a cat, SUV with a soccer mom bumper sticker...lived happily ever after storybooks of Caylee's.

Color me confused but there is no link on the Links thread for documents, and no one is discussing them here. So if they have not been released, has there been any reason given? I know the autopsy results are on hold, so does that mean that the documents were only about the autopsy and nothing else?

Well, there is toxicology from the hair and bones.
That could show what drugs Caylee was given or if she ingested any drugs from being in the same room as pot smoking, meth etc.
I wonder if there were drugs in Caylees system that were from Cindys medicine cabinet.

The state has just today filed an objection to Baez's request for Strickland to postpone his decision on whether to release the jail video.
In her objection, Assistant State Attorney Linda Drane Burdick stated that Baez's motion wasn't just to allow Andrea Lyon, a new defense lawyer working on the case, to get caught up.
". . . It became apparent that the delay requested is not for the benefit of Ms. Lyon, but for the purpose of continuing the defendant's effort to deflect attention from the evidence in the case and to focus on the unsubstantiated and irrelevant propaganda associated with her claims of government 'misconduct,'" the objection states.
"It is the position of the State of Florida that the defendant can not support, either factually or legally, her claims of misconduct on the part of any participant in this case."
The objection goes on to state, "It is time this matter is put to rest so that the actual parties to the litigation can extricate themselves from this quagmire and move forward with the justiciable issues in the case."

As much as I detest the OC, I'm still having a difficult time imagining she did what it seems she did to little Caylee. Especially deliberately. I guess I need to see the autopsy report for whatever else it might reveal -- in black and white -- to further convince me that what apparently happened, really happened.
I'm probably not making much sense. But the autopsy report, especially at 20-30 pages, with Dr. G's "strong opinion," I think will go a long way toward bringing me all the way to reality.
I'm also hoping it will contain clues or information about items found with Caylee's remains.

n a motion filed Friday in Orange County Circuit Court, Baez asked Judge Stan Strickland to enter an order allowing him to depose five witnesses: Capt. Dennis Warren, Major Sherry Johnson, Dr. Lynn Branch, Nurse ****s and Capt. Nancy DeFerrari.
Question: is filing this kind of motion the way things are done, is it normal procedure, I guess is what I mean -- or is Jose just filing unnecessary Friday motions to give the judge something to think about?
Is this procedure? Every time you want to depose a witness you have to ask the judge for an order to allow you to take those depositions.??

I find that odd as well. Me thinks Caylee was so afraid of being left alone and/or ignored. moo
I was wondering if she had been left with people in the past that did not treat her well and this made her clingy to Casey.
Sad, she clung to Casey for comfort and protection. Her mother....the one who ended up killing her imo.

I think Caylee, in her young mind, felt awfully vulnerable and frightened.
I say this because I think she saw and heard a lot of yelling at the Anthony house, and I think she was the subject of a lot of it and she was aware of that fact.
Even a toddler isn't immune to feeling the tension in a crazy household, and when she hears her name screamed from her grandmother and her mother, and sometimes she's the subject of an actual tug of war (IMO) -- she's not going to know who to trust, who to cling to. She's likely to be scared a lot, though and she'll grab on to the one familiar face she knows in a strange situation, even if that person hasn't always been kind or loving to her.
Abused kids know this only too well.
How sad she couldn't put her fearful feelings into words, because they were all true.

Yeah, CG, that's my big bugaboo, too. I wouldn't/couldn't make the trip if I wasn't almost guaranteed a seat. It's going to take so much maneuvering as it is to get away from the sheriff.

Hiya, c_e.
Much as I'd love to discuss the autopsy just to annoy the Ants, I really don't know enough.
Its interesting that Cindy and Georgio don't want us to discuss the autopsy. There has to be something very incriminating in the toxicology report. Like, a cause of death. Then I recall the large amount of perscription drugs in Cindys medicine cabinet. I think about the syringe that was in that bottle. There could well be a connection to those things. One thing I am sure of-- Cindy doesn't want is to read it, and not because it doesn't show anything, if u know what I mean.
It was the toxicology report that takes time for it to come back.
I think thats the 'smoking gun'

I imagine she was both confused and frightened.
Casey was always looking for a way to unload her on Cindy, and I'm sure Caylee "paid for it" when Casey had to spend more time with her than she wanted to.
Then when Caylee was alone with Cindy, it seemed Cindy spent a good deal of time trying to harangue Casey into coming home to tend to her daughter.
So the poor baby might have sensed she wasn't really wanted by either of them. I don't know how she could feel loved or secure under the circumstances.

{bolding mine} imc, what do you mean by 'we know enough'? I was under the impression that the autopsy report hasn't been released. What can you discuss? Rumor? Inuendo? Press-Guesses?
I believe, from reading all these threads, that you and many, many others have come to love and care for little Caylee. It must weigh on your hearts as these %$&** delays wear on and on. I am trying to distance myself emotionally until this comes to trial and the case is before us. I guess I'm not as strong as y'all - I simply cannot live this every day. But I will be there with bells on when the trial starts.
I responded to your post because - it seems that you are saying that even though you do not have the facts, you wish to discuss this report. Well, you certainly can do that. It might be more productive if you wait for the report to be published.
Ok. I'm going to go waaay out on a limb here:
1) I believe that the OC will wind up where she belongs - either under the needle or behind bars for life.
2) I also believe, from my own observation, that quite a few Posters here are far better informed than most of the "Talking Heads" who scream out over and over the "sensational" parts of this tragic case.
All this said - I'll go back to occasionally lurking when developments occur.
Thank you to all.
CJ
Hi CJ, thanks for your input.
For the autopsy report, I think we can look at what the ME said during the press conference. But its the toxicology report that will accompany the autopsy report, that I am most interested in.
The testing that they can do on the hair is really advanced forensics.
I read that any drugs ingested up to 48 hrs before death can be found in the hair. Hair grows about 1/2 inch a month and they can run tests on each section of a hair to see what drugs were directly or indirectly ingested.
I know we don't know the results, and I am speculating on the results.
I think Casey drugged Caylee and she died as a result.
We can assume that Cindy asked the court to seal that report, for a reason.
Aside from that, I appreciate your views and the fact that this is an extremely hard case, long term, and its difficult for all of us.

I agree and you know when I *really* realized it? When they started showing photos and videos of Haleigh Cummings when she went missing. Quite frankly, I don't think Haleigh was raised exactly "Ozzy and Harriette" yet she just looked so much happier. She exuded a more "kid" attitude, somehow. Of course there are differing temperaments and personalities in us all, and hindsight is 20/20, but Caylee just had a kind of haunted expression sometimes. Or defeated or exhausted or something I can't quite put my finger on.

Michelle's interview also indicated that Lee and everyone that knew Casey thought she was a little strange. They did not believe her lies but they ignored them and let her get away with it. They did not believe she was employed as an "event planner". The interview bothered me also when she was talking about Caylee depending on Casey.
See, this is part of what's so offensive to me. Apparently it was so acceptable in the House of Anthony to lie that Lee just blew it off, even when casual friends and acquaintances thought his younger sister was "a little strange."
As an older sibling, if I ever thought one of my four (:scared:) younger brothers or sister was pathologically lying and pretending to have some non-existent career and whatever else, I'd be all over it. That's just some creepy, scary stuff, imo.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Orange County medical examiner Dr. Jan Garavaglia said Friday that the autopsy report on the remains of Caylee Anthony draws no new conclusions as to her cause of death.
Garavaglia reported in December that the toddler's death was a homicide of unknown origin. However, she added that she included a summary in her 30-page report that draws some conclusions about what happened to Caylee based on tests and other evidence gathered since she made her initial findings.

". . . I was thinking more on the lines of "are you frushtrated, chum"?
On another note, I find some of the pictures of Caylee haunting, too. She does not look like a happy child a lot of the time, and some of her smiling pictures seem forced to me. I do not know, something is off, though.
Some of her photos have bothered me from the moment I saw them.
Of course, back in the day in this case, you could get drummed off the board for hinting all was not rosy in little Caylee's life at the House of Anthony.
People were looking at all the cute outfits and sunglasses and Mr. Potato Head collections, not at the child's eyes and facial expressions.
Good evening everyone,
I just came on, and can't believe what I am reading....I guess I have to go back and read from the beginning....:laugh:
In mid-afternoon there were some snafus on the board. There may be some pages that don't make sense based on the order of the posts....:w00t:

Oh, lawd. Imagine that girl trying to talk sexy with all those misplaced multi-syllable words, out of context and mispronounced?
Edited to add: "Are you frushtrated, baby?" ROFL!
Oh you make me laugh
I can just hear it now. "ABSOLUTELY baby".

A life full of "things" is not fulfilling. A child needs love and attention, and I believe Caylee was starved of these fundamentals. Most of the attention given to her was, more than likely, negative, and then made up for by buying her "things".

I've always thought it was odd that casey used a stolen grandma check to buy a birthday cake for Caylee....
The only proof I have seen that Casey stole Grandma's cheque to buy Caylee a cake and some fancy birthday favors is in SP's transcript.

The only picture I have seen with Caylee looking totally content was with her great grandfather. She wanted to hold onto him forever.
He was probably the most kind, safe relative she ever stayed with for a short period of time.

Children are very smart that way imo. They know a lot more than you think. IMO she felt safe in great grandpas lap on the last day of her life.

I tell you what really got me was when she asked her GGP, (paraphrased maybe) "You tired Papa?" That was such an advanced age appropriate feeling to verbalize and the empathy needed to recognize an emotion in someone else especially way out of her age group and care about it at her age just blew me away. One of those "old soul" statements you hear a rare child that age say, IMO.

reading the interviews it seems the only friends of Casey who were put off enough by her lies to cool their friendships were female, I guess the benefits the guys got outweighed the fact that honesty was not high on her list of personality traits. The men all seemed to notice the lies bur overlooked them. That tells me just how deeply they cared for her.

In her objection, Assistant State Attorney Linda Drane Burdick stated that Baez's motion wasn't just to allow Andrea Lyon, a new defense lawyer working on the case, to get caught up.
". . . It became apparent that the delay requested is not for the benefit of Ms. Lyon, but for the purpose of continuing the defendant's effort to deflect attention from the evidence in the case and to focus on the unsubstantiated and irrelevant propaganda associated with her claims of government 'misconduct,'" the objection states "It is the position of the State of Florida that the defendant can not support, either factually or legally, her claims of misconduct on the part of any participant in this case."
Thanks for your answer, however, .....you are telling about the Criminal Case. I was asking about entries on the Civil Case. Morgan/Mitnik are still working on something, and I want to know what! LOL

It sounded like a stationary store to me, but Im looking at the website and it looks like a large cake is about $20.
Grandma says she could have asked for the money and shes not rich but she would have helped. So why steal a cheque from her cheque book. How did she cash it too? Pretty tricky to be so successful in cashing cheques that are not in her name, you know?
I wonder if Cindy told her Mom, the cheque was for the cake, just spinning her usual web of lies.. (cover cover cover, boy her style of parenting Casey sure didn't help Caylee)

I've always thought it was odd that casey used a stolen grandma check to buy a birthday cake for Caylee....
I dont summer. Can you imagine the party planning? Cindy dictating to Casey HOW and WHAT should be taken care of to throw a two year old birthday party...... Casey helped herself to Shirley's check to cover her costs and show Mom Cindy, see, I can take care of things...
so Casey does it all up, a 'fiesta theme', which further provokes Cindy to compete as 'mom to Caylee'; two friends clearly stated they were competing for the 'title'.....
'overbearing' is the word, IIRC, to describe Cindy.
therefore, no, I dont find it surprising Casey stole money to 'show up her mom' and of course to offer up to Cindy that she has a very good job and can pay for it herself, ITS MY CHILD.....
which didnt stop Cindy from making attempts to be 'proud MOM'; she wasnt satisfied with the 'grandmother' title, because, after all, she pays for Casey and Caylee's entire living arrangements in her home. (per her blog on July 3rd).
IMO
best regards,
Pru

I was reading sean Daly's interview, I'm getting the impression that Casey's old friends must have been very "straight' no drugs, very little drinking, cause he seems to feel that the new crowd, TonE and that group used "drugs" yet when he was pressed it seems mostly pot and heavier drinking. Yet TonE seems to be a decent enough guy, I haven't seen any information that he or his group did much more than smoke pot. his school schedule seemed pretty full so i don't see much time for crazy antics.
I;m sure if there are any skeletons in those closets Casey has told Baez all about them. and they will be all spilled in court.

You're most welcome! Nancy Grace talked about this when the expert was first added to the list, and I'm trying to remember exactly what some on her show said about it. her version of the truth, which differs from Zanny at Sawgrass and Zanny at the park....
she already implicated herself as a 'witness' to the abduction in her second version. I see Casey taking that story one step further. well, more than one.
I dont believe in coincidences in this particular case. one of his attorneys visited her on the evening of the 10th of Dec and didnt leave until 4:30am on the 11th. Caylee was discovered hours later.
coincidence? I dont believe so. I believe Kronk is hiding something. the PI's are involved. I believe there is a mile long connection between all of these players, and the Anthonys were informed every step of the way.

NG just started talking about Caylee about 5 min. ago and will continue after the commercial break. She's talking about the A's blocking the autopsy release, the 900+ pgs. of discovery, and an interesting note about CA/GA threatening Casey with getting custody of Caylee as much as 2 yrs. ago but they never followed through. And what about ole Lee?
He had something to do with events/parking/bus transportation didn't he?
For the Super Bowl?
When (some) people come in from out of town, they have a way of getting in touch with people who arrange not only vehicles and game parties, but escorts as well.
I've thought from way back when that ole Lee's mysterious "work" is involved with his sister. That the both of them were involved in entertainment, so to speak.
KC the call girl, her brother her "manager." I just can't see ole Lee not knowing his sister was dating for dollars -- and lazy Lee managing to get a cut.
She was the event, and he was her manager. So to speak.
I mean, the guy isn't working at a 9-5 regular job. Or even the third shift anywhere.
And he's scared poopless, which is one of the reasons why he's vanished, for all intents and purposes.
Lee knows a lot.
