I think so too, imc_e - :thumbsup: She's acting like the world revolves around her. She's a legend in her own mind, but, she's sadly mistaken. She said that people who criticize her should get their own lives because she hates hearing the truth. Casey has no one else to blame but herself for where she is right now. :laugh:

I completely agree with you, CatBallou! :thumbsup: I am so tired of seeing her fluffing her hair, primping, sticking her chest out, & pursing her lips for the cameras! It almost looks like some sort of mating ritual! :laugh: She does actually think she's a celebrity. Sadly, she's a legend in her own mind.

I remember seeing the tape of the police interrogations. She continued to fluff her hair and inspect her nails. All the way up to the handcuffs on her.
What I do find interesting is this habit of rubbing her hands. She does that a lot in the court room. Like someone trying to rub the blood off her hands? :sad:

I agree that there is a reason she rubs her hands a lot, but I don't believe she's trying to rub the blood off. I believe she has no guilt for what she's done and probably wouldn't mind at all if her hands were covered with blood. There is some other reason she rubs her hands.

I've never met or associated with anyone quite like her. She is apparently a pathological liar. In that regard, she shares many characteristics with the infamous Scott Peterson. Both of them show a callous disregard for the truth, almost to the point of a completely twsted reality.
While I can't be certain whether her case qualifies for the death penalty, it's almost certain that she will receive a long prison sentence. My heart aches when I think of the poor little child, cast out like a rag doll.
I truly believe Casey has convinced herself she is part of the defense team instead of the defendant.

I remain puzzled by Casey's sense of entitlement, and even her sense of superiority. From the beginning, when she called her attorney "Jose" instead of Mr. Baez, I had a feeling that she has no respect for her elders and superiors (including law enforcement and her parents). You'd think a girl with Casey's problems would have a deep insecurity and an inferiority complex, but the opposite seems to be the case. Now, I'm sure she feels entitled to the top notch defense team which has been assembled for her, that she feels no gratitude, and that she feels every bit their equal. It's sure strange.

I believe that's the narcissist in her. Also, the hand rubbing, it's like in Shakespeare's play MacBeth. Lady MacBeth thinks there is blood on her hands and is constantly rubbing them.

Being a Narcissist / sociopath, she behaves as though she is always on "camera" and no one gets it but her. Unfortunately, we are not her parents, and her lies have not been acceptable or believable from the get go. I think this is still all just part of the game in her head to her, and one day soon she imagines how she'll act when she walks out the door. Not sure if Andrea Lyons can alter that illusion or not. I do hope they put her hair back in a pony tail & in clothes that fit her, for her next appearance in court. It is so very distracting. Although when 'jose' is trying to speak, distraction is good . . .

Yes the hand rubbing is extreme.
But keep in mind that Casey gets transported from jail to the courthouse.
I don't know how long that takes, but she's handcuffed during that entire time.
Then she's held in the little jail next to the courtroom, still in handcuffs.
We have no idea how long that is, it could be hours.
When it's time for her to be in the courtroom, they take the cuffs off.
I think by that time her hand are hurting and that's why she's rubbing them.
As far as her touching her hair, I think she's very nervous, and does not even realise she's touching her hair.

I have a very good friend that is a complete control freak!! Her husband does anything and everything she says --- when she says it and how she wants it done -- is done. She completely controls him and tries with everyone else. When she comes up against one who she cannot control, she "freaks out". She does have one child, a son, and he is so much like her that he, too has hardly any friends. These two remind me so much of Cindy and Casey -- except this offspring is male -- they can hardly stand to be around each other because the other is soooo controlling -- this is a VERY sad case -- it is so similiar to CA's personality that it is scary!!! What can one do except keep your distance. This person, as Cindy has very few friends. Don't know how she would act if her only child (son) did something so tragic to a child, he is not married, but I kinda think she would act as Cindy. This, even without a tragedy is so very sad.

I still keep thinking that the Casey apple didn't fall far from the George tree.
Maybe it's something like which came first?
Was it Juvenile George who morphed his wife into Cindy-the-Shrew? or, was it Cindy who emasculated George? or, did two people with personality disorders somehow end up together (rare)? or... any number of speculations and scenarios.
They all need help, but after what I'm sure has been years and years of family dysfunction, I doubt there would be any improvement in the family or the individuals with therapy (which rarely helps someone with a personality disorder anyway).

Ok, talked me into it. I'll just paste some of my earlier rants here. Seems like a good place for it:
Quick comment about the Geo/Cindy/Casey dynamic.
There's the "Parent/Adult/Child" issue - and I'm thinking about how these roles play and feed off one another.
Two people in a marriage need to behave as two adults towards each other, and each of them as a partner parent to their offspring.
Seems to me ole irresponsible George placed himself in the role of a child, forcing Cindy into the role of his parent.
In his position as a biological parent, he continued to behave as a child, rather than a partner parent, further forcing Cindy to behave as parent to all.
For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Looks to me as though Cindy had to go too far in one direction as Geo was going too far in the other.
Yeah, Cindy is domineering and in charge. It was a role someone had to play, and I think she was probably angry most of the time about having to be the sole parent to those offspring as well as a parent to the spouse who should have been an adult partner.
I don't say this to give her an excuse. She'd have been a lot better off if she'd have left his sorry arse years ago, but she didn't. Just looking at this from a more-or-less textbook angle, I can see where this might be what lead to this ugly family dynamic, the enabling, and the dysfunctional group we see now.
===
I'd be willing to bet ole George has never stood up to Casey to defend his wife / her mother.
===
In response to: "George had his manhood stripped away from him very early in that relationship."
I think he willingly gave it up so he could continue to be an irresponsible adolescent with a momma to make all the decisions and handle all the grown-up issues. jmo
===
In response to: "At one point I did feel very bad for George. But no more. George is a good actor.":
FWIW - ITA. and I think Cindy's mom knows ole George best. Would sure like to hear from folks who knew both of them years ago and who know about the course of their marriage. IMO, Geo is a passive-aggressive adolescent whose irresponsible behavior has molded Cindy into the hag she has become. I know I'm a broken record, but for those who have read about TA, especially "I'm OK, You're OK", you know where I am with this.

In response to: "George had his manhood stripped away from him very early in that relationship."
I think he willingly gave it up so he could continue to be an irresponsible adolescent with a momma to make all the decisions and handle all the grown-up issues. jmo
===
===
OK, you get the picture. I'm just not convinced Cindy started out as a hag. But of course, I could be wrong.

While I find some of this to be right on, I think it fails to address some of the aspects of her personality that a reaction to her family members doesn't explain. For one, her apparant narcissism (IMO). It always seems to be about her. Second, her constant lying (some of this may have started in response to the family dynamic, but I don't think that's all). She married a man described by his ex-wife as a pathological liar. She stayed married to him for the long haul. While some of that can rub off, I think it's more like 2 liars finding each other; finding a relationship where the other will not call you on your BS because they don't want to be called on theirs. I think she taught kc to lie. She didn't want to be called on her own dishonesty, and therefor felt it cruel to point out her daughters perhaps? She always wanted a free pass on her bs, and therefor gave that to her daughter. She spoiled her daughter rotten IMO. Why? The my child is perfect fantasy that had to be maintained at all costs. Parents often see their children as extensions or reflections of themselves. kc could do no wrong, because it meant that cindy was imperfect.

Hey Blue, I had no idea that George was married before...when did this info hit the airways?? Your assessment of C makes sense to me.
Can anyone come up with any reason why a mother would not report her child missing? :confused:
For starters, there is no excuse for any mother to not report her child missing. That is, of course, unless she is the reason the child is missing in the first place! :cursing:
For sure, I don't buy the Caylee or any of the A's being in "danger" story. Caylee isn't in danger anymore, for one. And, other than Casey being "safe" in jail these days, I sure don't see body guards and such for the rest of the A's, so don't suppose they feel they are in danger in anyway. They were front and center from the beginning, and didn't seem to worry about their safety. So, that, I don't buy.
That pretty much leaves the conclusion that--it is most probable that Caylee is dead because her mother murdered her. The amount of involvement of the other A's is pretty hard to decifer, IMO. But, reporting the dead body smell, and Caylee being no where around certainly points to their realiziing on July 15 that Caylee was dead, IMO.

LOL..this is the woman who bore and raised Casey. Cindy to me is "twisty" (the only word I can come up with that fits her.) Casey never turned in to a pathological liar overnight. She was well taught. :bored:

Great post, BlueHeron! :thumbsup: You've added a lot of good points about Cindy's personality. I'll bet she has never admitted to ever doing anything wrong. Cindy & Casey are so much alike it's scary. George & Cindy are both liars, so it's no surprise that Casey's one too. :wink:

This is the nail in Casey's coffin. The defense is going to make a big show attacking anything the prosecution brings up, while claiming this is all circumstantial.
That fact they can't argue back. That's all a jury has to hear. She's cooked

Excellent post, Amy! :thumbsup: Their story is just that, only a story. I'm sure that George & Cindy knew from the beginning what happened to Caylee. They have a major problem with the truth. They can't face it, and they most certainly can't tell it. It seems that liars run in that family. God Bless little Caylee. She never had a chance. Unfortunately, I believe that if George & Cindy had raised Caylee, she most probably would have turned out just like Casey. Let's not forget that Lee has a problem in telling the truth too. IMO :crying:

I still keep thinking that the Casey apple didn't fall far from the George tree.
Maybe it's something like which came first?
Was it Juvenile George who morphed his wife into Cindy-the-Shrew? or, was it Cindy who emasculated George? or, did two people with personality disorders somehow end up together (rare)? or... any number of speculations and scenarios.
They all need help, but after what I'm sure has been years and years of family dysfunction, I doubt there would be any improvement in the family or the individuals with therapy (which rarely helps someone with a personality disorder anyway).

Is there a link to this? Not being contrary as I remember, way back when, reading that George had a previous marriage - but can't find any info on this - or even Cindy's past - was she married before too?

It looked like Casey has some sort of skin problem on her hands. When watching the Video of her in the interrogation room, when the Detective left for so long, that Casey picked at her hands for a long time and then had to brush off her pants. Looked like she may have had flecks of skin that she was scratching off her hands. Like Eczema type condition.

I think deep down Casey knows she's in BIG trouble; maybe always touching her hair, rubbing her hands together etc. is a sign of nervousness.
Heck, In her mind she thinks she got away with it and she'll be set free to go back home to Mommy and Daddy and resume her life without Caylee cramping her style.

Hi, iluvmua! :smile: Casey will never admit it to anyone, but, she knows what she did to Caylee. When reality sets in, she will have no one to talk to about her feelings. Too bad she didn't care about Caylee's feelings! :crying: I do notice the dark circles under her eyes. Maybe, Caylee is haunting her through nightmares. I certainly hope so. :angry:

Hi, wondering? - :smile: Thanks for sharing that video with us. It was extremely disturbing to watch! It certainly wasn't normal behavior. I'm going with the neighbors of the A's assesment of CA and that word they used was, "Evil" and I beleive "_itch" Those are lay terms. On a psychiatric level narcisism seems to describe mother and daughter. Just my educated opinion from the outside looking in. Here is a poem that members might find interesting. This song was wriiten and sang by a gentleman named Doug Payne wrote. Obviously he came in contact with a narcisstic sociopath. This was written before June 15' 2008. I think this sums up at least kC and I see some of this in CA. I hide I cannot relate. I put on a face and I shut the gate. I won't confide, I cannot debate. I won't decide. I procrastinate. You can't reach my soul. It's down a deep dark hole and if you love me to well I'll make your life hell. So well I have lived this lie. No one can tell, not even I. My babys got the right to ask, but I won't stop and take off the mask. If someone trys to touch my heart, show they care the trouble will start. My greatest fear are her loving eyes and tender hands across my disguise. I'd like to feel like you. To laugh and cry and see things through. We should have made it if I could only end this charade. <3

It's obvious. She killed Caylee and wanted to get away with it. The longer it took for anyone to look for Caylee, the better for Casey.
