i don't have time to catch up on all the posts....i wish NG wouldn't have grilled JB so much about the "what time it got dark" thing....it wasted time that she could have asked more important questions, imo....it isn't dark here at 6:30 either..not even close to being dark...i agree the child shouldn't have been outside unattended, but NG wasted too much time on it, imo.....she should have stayed on the timeline of events for that day/afternoon...instead of getting more info from JB, it seemed NG just wanted to make her look like a bad mother....

i'm not sure what i think though...on one hand, i think it's possible JB set this up, for GK to look like a suspect, then on the other hand i think JB just simply isn't real smart...the thing about her saying Nevaeh "lies" about being hungry really didn't bother me all that much....i would have said, 'Nevaeh doesn't always tell me when she's hungry', (or along those lines - i wouldn't have used the word "lies")...i don't think JB meant anything bad toward Nevaeh when she used the word...

when i heard that a beer can was "in" the shallow grave, my first thought was 'JB used a beer can that GK had drank out of, & placed it there'....i know, i know; longshot, since i don't think JB is all that smart anyway....but IF there really is a little "tattletale" that came to the door around 6:30 & told JB about Nevaeh riding her scooter in the road, then there's no way JB could have hurt Nevaeh, IMO.....

i did hear that the autopsy results should be released this Friday, no later than Monday..

This case is awful. I saw nancy last night and boy did she grill that mother or so called mother. I sometimes get turned off by nancy but this woman had it coming. ITA! I dont think she really cared. I got the impression that she was laying on the couch and didnt want to be bothered. She said she was thinking about what to make for dinner at 6.30. She was caught in quite a few lies. A five year old should not be roaming outside without supervision period. She even went on to say that her daughter liked to lie about being hungary. The way she said it was not very nice. jmo :ohmy:

I have been doing a lot of thinking and I was brought up to not hate others and it is really hard not to blame this mother and her stupid dangerous actions but then I wonder what if that was me and I was going through this and everyone in AMERCIA was talking about how I caused my child's death..I am really trying to look deep into my soul and find the compassion I was taught to not hate others. and not to judge until I walk in those shoes..

I just wish JB would come out and say I know I was wrong I am crushed I was stupid for allowing these people around my child if she would only stop this feel sorry for me and standing up for RSO and then turning around and changing her mind and pointing fingers at him and this Savannah girl..we have no proof they did anything she has no proof she called him for God sake when she could not find her but now all of a sudden she thinks he could hold the key to her little girl going missing..she needs to be a big girl and stand up say I was wrong and now I will have to pay for the rest of my life and she would get a lot more compassion form people...JMO

I hope I don't get knocked off the boards for this, because it's simply gut feelings and I have absolutely no proof but this is what I think happened: I think Nevaeh was 1. offered up as payment for drugs or for a drug debt, or 2. was taken in retaliation of a drug debt. I think JB's emotional ties to GK are stronger than those to Nevaeh.

The more I wondered about why she'd let George around Nevaeh, the more I have a theory about it.

I agree that the dark issue was overdone. By 9 o'clock the amber alert had been issued. The child shouldn't have been out alone no matter what time it was.

I wish NG had spent more time going over issues like where was the friend & daughter all day if they had stayed the night. Is that same friend that JB called Tattletail? Was the mother there then?

Because she exposed the little one to SO's, total judgemental, bad, bad.

Because she tells a slightly variated story every time she speaks, total judgemental, bad, bad.

Because she called a little precious dead child that came out of her own body 5 short years ago "liar", total judgemental, bad, bad.

All in all, this is not a mother, this is an egg donor at best. Add in the drugs, the robberies, the jobless couch sitting, the sex-offender bf, the irresponsible pregnancy... I dunno. But I cannot add it all up to equal any respect.

Im a pretty forgiving person and give people the benefit of the doubt, but she does not get it from me after last night. she really didnt seem to devastated to me. She left a really bad taste in my mouth. She definetley should not have another child. jmo

Just reading up for the day, as I said last night some people are just not public speakers and I believe her family should of advised her not to go on any show and to get a Attorney but with that said I do not believe she (J.B) was not stupid enough to know that she would be asked those questions. MO is the girl (J.B) has parenting issues and the interview only made that more apparent.

I thought NG spent way too much time talking about the time it gets dark there. As someone here already pointed out, JB did say 9, NG was the one who said 6:30 and 10. I know what Nancy's point was, but she did not catch JB in a lie there, so should have just let it go.

I put a lot of blame on JB, but I honestly don't think she is changing her stories (we've seen a lot of that in Haleigh Cummings' case). She literally was put on the spot, and I think she was just saying as far as she knew, Nevaeh told her she was going upstairs. I don't think she was contradicting herself when she said she saw her go through the door or in the door... Nevaeh went there often, and there was no reason for JB to follow her up the stairs.

As far as calling Nevaeh a "liar", I wouldn't go that far. It was a poor choice of words, I agree, but her point was simply that Nevaeh wouldn't tell her if she was hungry, as most kids would.

I know we are all angry with JB, and obviously don't approve of her choices, but in all fairness, she just lost a child, and was making her first national appearance, and on CNN at that.

"It is possible at the autopsy you may find internal evidence of manual strangulation in the form of broken bones in the larynx and so that may permit you to come up with a cause of death," Dr. Patrick said.

"On the other hand, it is absolutely correct that the longer you go from the time of death to the discovery of the body and autopsy the less chance you have of making a determination," Dr. Patrick said."

Nevaeh's father, Shane Hinojosa, said he was told that his daughter had never been to a dentist so teeth X-rays were not available to investigators to assist in the identification process."

I was just trying to understand why these mothers are so irresponsible with their children over and over again. When I said that JB was now pregnant and maybe Nevaeh was in the way of her new plans with the new father of the baby, I was speculating as to whether JB had anything to do with her demise. I find it odd that the Grandmother would fight to keep Nevaeh from the father when JB was incarcerated, but then would leave Nevaeh alone in her custody if she knew the kind of mother that she was. It also bothers me that the brother was well aware of the relationship that JB had with these SO's for 2 months, the Grandmother had to be aware as well. Did they contact the authorities? Did they let them know that these known SO's were around a 5 year old child? This whole family is unbelievable in my opinion. I am still curious as to how old the cement was when her body was found. I am wondering if the two SO's were being held at the time the cement is estimated to have been poured. It is more than obvious that JB is a neglectful mother but I wonder if she is not also involved in the death. Now she is pregnant again, Lord please help this child.

She literally was put on the spot, and I think she was just saying as far as she knew, Nevaeh told her she was going upstairs. I don't think she was contradicting herself when she said she saw her go through the door or in the door... Nevaeh went there often, and there was no reason for JB to follow her up the stairs.

they just moved into those apartments a couple of months ago..and since JB had no job I would say Grandma paid for everything and would also think she got assistance but she did go to the dentist before preschool just did not have X-RAYS done

She still was spouting that BS about giving someone a second chance, that she was just that kind of person. Even if GK is not an actual child molester and his crime was having sex with an underage girl (15 and he was 26 or 27) which is bad enough, he was not permitted to be around children. WHy did this idiot let her daughter near him?( of course only 15% of the time) Now she thinks he may have had a hand in it. isn't she violating her own parole by hanging around with other parolees? aren't you supposed to stay away from criminals? Unfortunately (for everyone involved), it seems to me she just assumed Nevaeh went upstairs, and since she had done that many other times probably didn't feel the need to check on her or see that she does indeed go upstairs.

I am very confused with the timeline, did Nevaeh go to the boy's apartment as she told her JB? I know she was there, but I believe before that, when that family was having dinner/lunch, IIRC at 3:30. If anyone is good with the timline... TIA!

When I lived in MI I had my son. I was in college and unmarried at the time so I was fully covered by my mom's insurance (thank you GOD!). My son was not. Since I was working on campus I had no way to get coverage for him through my job. He received MI Child, totally free state insurance coverage. Everything was paid for 100%. (I don't know about dental or optical, though because we didn't ever need it, but it seems like that was included.) Thankfully we now all have 100% coverage through my husband's job, but I live in CA now. The budget in MI is ridiculously tight, so maybe they have cut back on services and who qualifies, but 6 years ago it was free, everything was covered (to the best of my knowledge), and all kids benefitted until age 18.

I saw NG last night and I think she treated JB very badly. I don't think she's the best mother on earth but she should have been treated with more respect.
JB was asked about what time it's getting dark where she lives and she answered "around 9 pm". NG then tried to make it to it was dark around 6.30 and she said that JB had said "it's getting dark around 10 PM" and then accused her of lying.

JB admitted that she have made some bad choices in her life, but NG continue to put her down over and over again.

Btw - JB didn't say she saw her daughter go to the neighbors, she said Nevaeh told her that she was going there.
After 1/2 hour JB went to look after her when her friends child told her that Nevaeh where out on the road with her scooter.

She has lost her child in an awful way, so I think we should show her more respect than NG and some of you on this board does.

She certainly will never be Mother of the Year and she has failed her child in many ways but I am very uncomfortable with someone pouring salt into open new wounds just for tv ratings. No matter what she has lost her child and her mother's grandchild in the most heartbreaking way imaginable.

There will be plenty of time for finger pointing but now that she is awaiting the report in order to confirm this is Nevaah is not the time imo.

The community will never let her forget her shortcomings and I doubt JB will forget them either. She is as dysfunctional as they come but dysfunctional parents who are sorely lacking still love their kids.

I would have disconnected my microphone too if I had been treated in the accusatory manner that Nancy is famous for doing. Why would JB just want to sit there and take Nancy's caustic barbs lobbed at her? I can't think of a reason why she would.

JB is full of crap, she tells Nancy Grace that the first time Nevaeh went upstairs to Austin's, she watched her go, then Nevaeh returned to change her clothes and go back to Austin's, it was 6:30 and JB is just starting to think about making dinner!! If she "thought" tattletale meant the parking lot why not just look out the window, if Nevaeh was there she could have called her to come in. if not, the hell with the shoes, get your *** down to the street. I wonder if the cops have talked to the tattletale. I think that part of the story is bogus. I think Nevaeh was missing a lot longer than mom is letting on.
If my brother who lives across the street and 2 houses down sends his daughter to my house he watches her till I let her in, when I send her home i cross her in the street and either walk her back or watch till I see her mom or my brother let her back in the house. same with friends kids if they are coming over, parents call and say they are on the way, if they don't arrive in a timely manner I call parents back.

I would love for that to happen, but personally, I don't think JB has anything new or of significance to offer. I don't think NG believes JB was involved in what happened, so her coming hard on JB was more in line with being a parent, than anything else, IMO.

MONROE, Mich. (AP) - Investigators say DNA testing has confirmed that a body found buried along the River Raisin is that of a 5-year-old Monroe girl who went missing last month.

I agree, it was just uncomfortable to watch- like someone kicking a puppy. (not that JB looks cute and innocent like a puppy-just unable to fight back)

The woman has some major issues but what she says in the media isn't the issue it is what she tells LE- and last I read they didn't think she was involved.

I did say I hoped JB did not go home and kill herself- it would be kind of hard for NG make excuses for two suicides after her show.

I am sure this post will upset some people, but please bear in mind that it is my opinion only. I am just wondering at what point does someone become responsible for their actions, OR LACK THERE OF? We are not speaking of a petty crime in this case, but the lost life of an innocent 5 year old child! The biological father of Nevaeh should have stepped up to the plate long ago. He should have paid child support and had an active role in his daugthers life. Having said that, he did finally step up to the plate and try to gain custody of his daughter after he found out the mother was going to jail. What happened? The Grandmother fought for custody and won. What proceeds from there? The mother gets out of jail and starts associating with KNOWN SO's. The mother is also very neglectful with regards to watching her 5 YEAR OLD daughter. The brother knew 2 MONTHS AGO that his sister was associating with known SO's. Did he report it? No! Had he reported it perhaps LE would have made other arrangements for Nevaeh. Since the brother knew about the SO's in Nevaeh's life 2 MONTHS AGO, I am assuming that the grandmother who fought for custody ALSO KNEW. Yet the Grandmother leaves her ward in the custody of the neglectful mother with the SO friends. The father? Perhaps if he had been doing the right things all along he WOULD have been granted cutody and Nevaeh would be alive today. The only person that I feel sorry for is Nevaeh. We hear about these situations over and over again. Perhaps it is time to starting calling people on the carpet so that maybe one person reports these situations in the future. You can call LE anonomously. If you are worried about them tracing your call, use a pay phone!

Good post....and I agree somehwat. I just have a hard time swallowing the fact that JB even went on the show at all. Why? I wouldn't. Especially with a body just being found, and more likely than not it being Nevaeh. If I was in the same position, i would NOT be on national TV talking about what if's. I would have been on when she first went missing, and I would have pleaded for information and the return of my daughter. But after finding a body yet identified? No way, no how.

Right outside of any organized group, or court ordered meetings- there is no way they would be green lighted to hang out together.
Add the fact that any drug or alcohol use is almost always a violation as well.

For that matter their association with JB would be a violation for them as well as her. (generally this is how it goes but variations and allowances are always a possibility)

Don't know about Michigan, but in some areas in Illinois, including the state capitol, there are very few dentists that take the medical card.

Also, JB doesn't seem to be the type to make a big effort and if so, if it was the least bit inconvenient, she didn't make the effot.

I agree with you 100%. How about this scenario? Perhaps one of the other mothers out in lala land that is dating a known SO caught the Nancy Grace show. Maybe one, just one, is now having second thoughts about allowing their children around the SO. That in itself is worth EVERYTHING! Perhaps once they catch the person who killed poor little Nevaeh, her family can do something for her memory. Perhaps they could all go on Nancy Grace's show. Then she said very nice take us through the last few moments you were with Nevaeh what happen. "The governor made her commitment over two years ago to let 6,000 people out of prison. I thought that was nuts. But she is doing it. Public safety is at risk."

But what can be expected from JB ? We cannot understand someone like this. Neither the grandmother nor the uncle would be capable of convincing JB to remove herself from GK's life! Especially if the grandmother was out working her arse off to support them - how could she enforce ANYTHING in the home with JB sitting there all day long?!

She should have said "she doesn't tell me when she is hungry" or "tells me she is not hungry when she is", but the meaning is the same. From earlier reports, A's family had eaten about 3 o'clock so nobody may have been hungry there. They may not even been home.

If Nevaeh left with her mother about 3:30, where were they for 3 hours? Believe JB did say something about just got home.

JB seems to be adding and twisting stories every time she's talking to the media.

Oh, we eat at "odd hours" on Sundays also so that doesn't seem unusual to me.

Well I think one thing is clear if Navaeh did not go back upstairs and went out to play and didn't let JB know, then she did not believe it was necessary and this was not a unusual event. The man upstairs said she ate with them at 3 or 3:30 and it was probably her last meal that is why I remember it so well..because of that statement of she probably ate her last meal with us...so not sure how fast food is digested

I saw NG last night and I think she treated JB very badly. I don't think she's the best mother on earth but she should have been treated with more respect.
JB was asked about what time it's getting dark where she lives and she answered "around 9 pm". NG then tried to make it to it was dark around 6.30 and she said that JB had said "it's getting dark around 10 PM" and then accused her of lying.

JB admitted that she have made some bad choices in her life, but NG continue to put her down over and over again.

Btw - JB didn't say she saw her daughter go to the neighbors, she said Nevaeh told her that she was going there.
After 1/2 hour JB went to look after her when her friends child told her that Nevaeh where out on the road with her scooter.

Actually I watch Nancy Grace very little anymore. I use to watch her nightly. The only reason I watch her at times now is Greta seems to be more into politics now and Nancy may be the only one that has a case I am interested in at the time.

I do understand that many may like the very aggressive "in your face" with nostrils flaring that Nancy is famous for however just my own personal view I think she goes way over the top many times and is downright rude to everyone. She is making her big bucks off of the people that comes there. I often wonder just what the producer tells these people beforehand they are going to discuss when they set up the interview. JB certainly hasnt been the only one to go through this.

JB has made many gross errors when it came to Nevaeh but the show should be about trying to find the killer or kilers who murdered this precious child and somehow all that seems to have gotten lost in NGs bash fest of JB. Concrete thoughts...

If this has already been mentioned I apologize. :) Last night I was thinking about how odd we all thought it was that Nevaeh was "buried" right next to the river and wasn't put in the water. Esp when there were several other wooded places to place her. I had a random thought about the concrete. Maybe the perp was actually planning to MAKE some kind of weight with the concrete? :confused: According to my DH there is some really fast drying materials that you can use to do that with. Maybe their intention was to weigh her down and then put her in the water but they? Got spooked, were in a hurry, forgot something? If the grave wasn't that deep maybe they didn't bring a shovel because all along they had intended to make a weight and put her in the water? Just a thought...

depends on the TOD I would say if she did eat at 3ish like the neighbor said then they may be able to tell..is liquids and actual food different

Determining time of death I am not so sure they can find it in her stomach to determine TOD but I sure hope so..I would say it changes the digestive system as to when the person was killed so if she ate and was murdered shortly after we may still see food in the stomach...

now THAT story has changed when she was interviewed on NG. now she says she saw her go into the apartment.

I have a problem believing anything she might say going forward.

In that interview she throws out scenarios regarding Kennedy. This case is disturbing with regard to one fact only: associating with a convicted sex offender and 'giving that person a second chance'. why was her relationship with him important?

I hope I don't get knocked off the boards for this, because it's simply gut feelings and I have absolutely no proof but this is what I think happened: I think Nevaeh was 1. offered up as payment for drugs or for a drug debt, or 2. was taken in retaliation of a drug debt. I think JB's emotional ties to GK are stronger than those to Nevaeh.

I had been trying to find the name of the other child that saw her

Visitors to the Charlotte Arms apartment complex might not have picked up on the fact that 8-year-old John Morse was among the children suffering inside yesterday.

His bright eyes and big, toothy grin managed at times to conceal the anguish that his mother, Dorothy Morse, said he has been experiencing over Nevaeh's disappearance since Sunday night.

But the young boy looked forlorn when talking about her. The boy described himself and Austin Baker, another boy at the apartment complex, as Nevaeh's two closest friends there.
Records show Austin and another child named Magneta Six were the last two seen with the missing girl.

"There are a lot of her little friends around here who are taking it real hard," Mrs. Morse said.

The Morse child is a third grader at Hollywood Elementary School. He was sent home from school early Wednesday, sick to his stomach from worrying about Nevaeh. The boy's mother said he fears Nevaeh is "not going to come home."

John Morse and his 14-year-old brother, Kenneth Morse, were among a group of kids that played basketball together on May 13. Nevaeh was with them.

She loved to play baseball, whether it was taking a few swings or having a game of catch with him, John Morse said. Like other youngsters, they used their imaginations to pass the time playing with anything from toy firetrucks to live worms.

And - like other children - they also enjoyed playing an occasional game of tag at the apartment complex.

Yesterday, the 8-year-old wasn't talking as much as a child his age does.

After reminiscing about Nevaeh, he offered advice that parents often don't get from children: "Don't let your kids go outside by themselves."

John Boedicker, Jr., John Morse's stepfather, said it's going to be a hard summer for the city of Monroe if things don't start returning to normal.

I LOVE Nancy Grace.

I am proud that she is from the State of Georgia and I believe that she represents a true Southern lady! One who is for the victim..........not the one who hurts them.

Both their families were so happy when they were told that they were expecting twins. What wonderful parents! Both NG and hubby come from close families and her twins are loved by many.

This happens more than we like to admit. I know my parents took care a little one who lived next to them. They would find him out in his diaper in the am in the cold. Bring him into their house because his parents would be asleep. They feed him and watched him so that he would be okay...........my siblings and I even bought diapers/clothes/toys/movies so that our parents would have things for him. When these dead beat parents moved, this little boy was about 6 years old..........but my parents worried about him for ole so long.

During the time they were living next door, the little boys parents got so they would just drop him at my parent's house so they could sleep............oh, well, my parents loved this little guy. and he was company to them.

MOO is that people like my parents will receive their rewards for taking care of others when they meet Jesus!

i had a lot of difficulty watching ng interview jb. i know the woman made terrible mistakes but, as many have said, ng really didn't bring out any new information - just kept bashing this woman. i also think it's a good idea to keep interviewing the father, when he really never had anything to do with this child - he's taking the opportunity to bash jb as well, which, imo, is pot - kettle - black. i didn't see him step up and take responsibility.

please don't get me wrong - i like ng. i do, however, get tired of the constant references to the twins - not only that, she is a former violent crimes prosecutor. i would hesitate to speak of my children, let alone show photos of them on television, knowing the many evil people i have prosecuted in the past may be let out of jail someday.

And despite her comments regarding her twins.... I gotta say that you cant know every action your child makes 24/7 ~ especially if you're not home. Hi Sydney, No ita with you on this. I never thought it was a good idea for NG to post the twins pics on TV< She is very well known and who knows what kind of nut could stalk her family. Those preious babies shou ld be in the background, I believe she could mention what they are doing as far as development goes etc but showng their pictures no. imo I also had a problem the other night when watching her come down so hard on JB I know so many here thought it was a good thing I just can't kick soneone when they are down. Actually I watch Nancy Grace very little anymore. I use to watch her nightly. The only reason I watch her at times now is Greta seems to be more into politics now and Nancy may be the only one that has a case I am interested in at the time.

I do understand that many may like the very aggressive "in your face" with nostrils flaring that Nancy is famous for however just my own personal view I think she goes way over the top many times and is downright rude to everyone. She is making her big bucks off of the people that comes there. I often wonder just what the producer tells these people beforehand they are going to discuss when they set up the interview. JB certainly hasnt been the only one to go through this.

JB has made many gross errors when it came to Nevaeh but the show should be about trying to find the killer or kilers who murdered this precious child and somehow all that seems to have gotten lost in NGs bash fest of JB. I am not saying that JB killed Neveah, just that Neveah's murder was the result of JB's selfishness, lifestyle, and parental neglect. If GK was the perpetrator, even if JB had no physical hand in the murder, she should be prosecuted for knowingly putting her daughter in the hands of a sexual predator.

I agree with this. If she was unaware, it would be one thing. But her knowledge of the crimes the men had committed made her aware of a danger to her child. She chose to allow her daughter to be in the vicinity of these men....and therefore in the vicinity of this danger. IF it is proven that one of these men was responsible for Nevaeh's death, then as harsh as it sounds, I believe her mother is as responsible for her death as if she were to allow her 5 year old to continue standing in the road in front of an oncoming semi. Sure, the semi would have technically been to blame for killing the child, but the mother was aware of dangers that the child was not aware of, and it was the mother's responsibility to protect and remove her child from potential harm.

i had a lot of difficulty watching ng interview jb. i know the woman made terrible mistakes but, as many have said, ng really didn't bring out any new information - just kept bashing this woman. i also think it's a good idea to keep interviewing the father, when he really never had anything to do with this child - he's taking the opportunity to bash jb as well, which, imo, is pot - kettle - black. i didn't see him step up and take responsibility.

please don't get me wrong - i like ng. i do, however, get tired of the constant references to the twins - not only that, she is a former violent crimes prosecutor. i would hesitate to speak of my children, let alone show photos of them on television, knowing the many evil people i have prosecuted in the past may be let out of jail someday.

I'm running right beside you Sydney....I do not watch NG anymore so I am putting my money where my mouth is. I do however see the clips from the show that they broadcast. There is tenacious and then there is just plain rude. I watched her for years but between her being mean and JVM YELLING I prefer to just read the boards. I really believe they should tell the callers NOT to talk about the twins or thank Nancy, imo everyong thinks the babies are cute and like her or they wouldn't be calling...it wastes alot of time. I agree with this. If she was unaware, it would be one thing. But her knowledge of the crimes the men had committed made her aware of a danger to her child. She chose to allow her daughter to be in the vicinity of these men....and therefore in the vicinity of this danger. IF it is proven that one of these men was responsible for Nevaeh's death, then as harsh as it sounds, I believe her mother is as responsible for her death as if she were to allow her 5 year old to continue standing in the road in front of an oncoming semi. Sure, the semi would have technically been to blame for killing the child, but the mother was aware of dangers that the child was not aware of, and it was the mother's responsibility to protect and remove her child from potential harm.

But Nancy still took something that JB had said and revised it, threw it back at her and accused her of not being truthful. Nancy twisted what JB had said and that is unjust.
(I am talking merely about the point about what time it gets dark).

It is very pertinent to the case, as JB already has several things that point to her being an unreliable/neglectful mum, so there is no need for FURTHER untruthful mudslinging about her. Nancy was being sensationalist and was adamant about proving a point, but that particular point she created on her own.

I keep returning to it, because people keep bringing it up and I think that any aspersions created by misconstruing what JB said, should be disregarded in the name of fairness of honesty.

Personally, I was horrified at how Nevaeh's mother was treated. She stated that it gets dark between 9 and 9:30. NG ridiculed her, stating that the sun goes down at 8:55. Okay, so the sun goes down at 8:55 and it remains light for another 15-30 minutes. That' normal in some places. Closer to the equator, it seems that the sun goes down, and it's almost instantly dark - not so everywhere.

NG did not make any point except that Nevaeh's mother told the truth about when it gets dark, yet she kept treating the mother as though she was lying. It was horrible to watch.

Nevaeh was outside at 6:30 in broad daylight, yet NG tried to confuse the facts and suggest that it was dark, even though she confirmed that the sun did not go down for another 2 and a half hours. I don't understand what NG, typically an advocate for victims, was trying to say.

I do not see the association. The reporter on NG clearly said that JB had a big window next to the couch, and could see the parking lot. You do not need to know the time to decide if your child should come in or not. Just looking tells you if it is starting to get dark or is dark. Not all parents set a specific time a child should come in. I for example base my decision on the street lights coming on, and that is different every day.

Never the less, I would agree with you that if the sun set at 8:55 that night, that is way too late and dark for a child to be out. However at 8pm it would not yet be too dark, and maybe not at 8:30 either. It can get dark fast.

If she was watching Naveah through the big glass window like she said that she was then should would have seen her daughter was not upstairs but out in the street riding her scooter. If she had been watching her daughter like she said that she was, she would of seen what kind of vehicle stopped and who abducted her daughter. Since she saw none of this, she wasn't watching her daughter but was distracted doing something else and wasn't watching her at all.

It appeared to be cruel, but that's my opinion. Another point that has been made is that the mother wanted to give a sex offender a second chance. Whoah ... most of us are shocked at that thought, but let's go back to when we were young. I thought people could change, I thought that if I showed someone enough love and compassion they could become good people. Naive, absolutely. Giving people the benefit of the doubt is an important trait, but the mother definitely gave it where it wasn't deserved. She knows better now. Many women write letters to murderers in jail. Do they actually believe that these murderers are innocent or can change? Perhaps they do. The mother made a mistake, but it's no bigger mistake than all the authors of fan mail to murderers.

I've never heard/read JB say that she went and got Nevaeh to go to the store. I heard A's mom say that Nevaeh left with her mom to go to the store.

So in cases where people boast that they have passed a polygraph test means nothing, correct? Then no one should ever be eliminated as a suspect in any case because they passed one.

I personally feel that they are more accurate then that and that such tests are a good way to shake out the guilty.
