I understand people leaving items at the Memorial for Caylee at the spot where her remains were found. It is a way for the public to express their grief.

I learned about Caylee on Nancy Grace while channel surfing one evening. I think what kept me following the case was Cindy and George's national interviews, their bizarre behavior i.e. hammer and Casey's lies .... in that order.

People from all over have followed this case. They need a way to let go and have some type of closure. For many, it is to leave a little something at the site where she was found.

IMO, the Anthony family is not the only ones that mourn Caylee. It is sad George and Cindy cannot see the memorial is an outpouring of love for Caylee by the public.

ITA with you,.....however, you know Lois and her gang planned this out. It has been on everyone's mind about who is taking stuff down at the Caylee memorial site. And no one has any answers. Many ppl are angered that stuff is being taken away from the site.

I guess...thinking about it a little... I am trying to see why they would feel the need to take down any memorial items.

Perhaps they want the right to grieve for their grandchild in privacy. Maybe they see it as a violation of their privacy that they have to grieve for Caylee with others who never even knew her?

I think I could probably see myself being possessive about a deceased loved one if hundreds of strangers came out to mourn their passing, when they didn't even know my family member. *shrug*

I guess I can see the point you are making MoonFlwr...but the Anthony family is a deep study of contradictions.
I have really wondered why it seems to be so upsetting to them that the public would like to have a memorial site for Caylee, considering they have done the national media tour discussing this 'situation'. It would seem that if they truly wanted privacy they would just stay to themselves...and not pay any attention to crosses and tributes to their grandaughter.
I haven't seen/heard any input on this subject from those who appear on television to give their own psychological take on these folks, I wonder what they can glean from the Anthony behaviour regarding this?
My thought would be that George and Cindy would have many other things to focus their time and attention on...but for some reason they invest a lot of time and brain cells to it.
Maybe it is just another control issue for Cindy...the idea of a one year anniversary memorial by the public must be pushing her even closer to the edge...if that's even possible.

I am confused about why Baez is motioning the court to prevent the jail video from becoming public, when Baez has gone to measures to actually call more attention to the issue by taking depos and filing them with the court (which makes them public!).

Seems to me, Baez is really making allegations that LE and the corrections officers did something wrong. sigh. IMO, on Dec 11, there was an active investigation going on in regards to this case, and if LE wanted to observe Casey's demeanor, they were well within their rights to do so.

Casey and Baez seem to be paranoid that the corrections officers will "see something" when they are meeting, and if fact the corrections officers did in two instances step in and admonish Baez for inappropriately "hugging" on Casey. Is Baez now saying that corrections officers are also listening in on attorney/client conversations?

Living with a dysfunctional family is no defense for killing your own child. Lots of folks live in dysfunctional families or with dysfunctional people, and they don't become murderers. I suppose this could be an issue for the death penalty phase though.

She'll dig deeply into the family upbringing, shake all the ghosts out of the closet, and beg mercy for her clients by showing how they didn't stand a chance due to early conditioning. Her main mission is not to win a not guilty verdict for her client, but to reduce the sentence from the DP to either LWOL or a lighter sentence. She coins herself the "Angel of Death" or some such thing and, from what I hear, has never "lost" a DP case - has a 100% batting average. But again, by "lost" that means her clients do not die. The Anthonys outrageous behavior could very well help her cause quite a bit. IMO of course.

Cruising the site at night to do the dirty deed, when they are on record as claiming they have never been to that site because it's too upsetting, just makes them look even more demented and nasty, imo.

IMO, if JB was really concerned about the clicking on the intercom system and that his conversations with Casey were being overhead by jail personnel, why didn't he put his concerns in writing? Morning everyone. Once again, my entire family is glad I am safely tucked away up here in Maryland, because if I were down there, I'd be putting up memorials for Caylee too and heaven help anyone I caught removing them.

Lois was told by CPS to keep her grand daughter AWAY from the Casey Anthony case. Her gd has nervous breakdowns and huge emotional problems. She's hurting her own gd just to get back at Cindy. She's as sick as Cindy BUT she has a chance to save her own gd and goes out of her way to drag this poor child back into this mess.

IMO, I hope CPS gets involved and tells Lois in no UNCERTAIN terms to back off ... or else.

I would imagine that women, becaue of their natural maternal instincts, could be even nastier then men. So, LWOP seems a just and fitting punishment for the OC. No more pork rinds. After numerous mentions on blogs, websites, in the media, and through e-mails the assumptions that this endeavor was being organized by National Vigil For Hope, the Anthony family, and Kid Finders began to escalate through the public domains.

For the record, none of those mentioned above are associated with any plans for a vigil for Caylee Anthony or any other families at this time. Michelle Bart, the national chairperson of National Vigil For Hope had requested that any media outlets that would be covering the plans for the vigil if they could not indicate the “organizers” of the event to at least make it known of those that aren’t involved so that public perception would not be fabricating any information to their audience.

UPDATE: It has become known that other people who aided independent searches for Anthony in 2008 are the sources heading up the plans for the vigil.

I understand people leaving items at the Memorial for Caylee at the spot where her remains were found. It is a way for the public to express their grief.

I learned about Caylee on Nancy Grace while channel surfing one evening. I think what kept me following the case was Cindy and George's national interviews, their bizarre behavior i.e. hammer and Casey's lies .... in that order.

People from all over have followed this case. They need a way to let go and have some type of closure. For many, it is to leave a little something at the site where she was found.

IMO, the Anthony family is not the only ones that mourn Caylee. It is sad George and Cindy cannot see the memorial is an outpouring of love for Caylee by the public.

This is exactly how I feel too. Child killers are not popular in prison and, from what I've heard, are generally targetted by other inmates. I would imagine that women, becaue of their natural maternal instincts, could be even nastier then men. So, LWOP seems a just and fitting punishment for the OC. No more pork rinds. No more cheetos, chocolate, mascara and expensive face creams. Say goodbye to all of that, Casey. Oh, and by the way - meet Big Bertha, Mad Myrtle and Sally Slasher. I think what she is trying to say is that they don't want the anthony's 1000's and 1000's of supporters to be fooled into thinking the anthony's are involved with this memrial for Caylee. BUT all that I hear is "if there is any publicity then we want our (the ants) name included in everything written about that little girl". Good morning. Apparently the new attorney, Andrea Lyon, has used this strategy in the past to get the DP off the table. She'll dig deeply into the family upbringing, shake all the ghosts out of the closet, and beg mercy for her clients by showing how they didn't stand a chance due to early conditioning. Her main mission is not to win a not guilty verdict for her client, but to reduce the sentence from the DP to either LWOL or a lighter sentence. She coins herself the "Angel of Death" or some such thing and, from what I hear, has never "lost" a DP case - has a 100% batting average. But again, by "lost" that means her clients do not die. The Anthonys outrageous behavior could very well help her cause quite a bit. IMO of course.

I don't think Cindy is going to appreciate having her family labelled as dysfunctional, even if it is to save Casey's life. If I were AL I wouldn't count on Cindy cooperating on the stand even if she was coached before hand. Cindy, I think lets the attorney think he has her under control and ready to take the stand but once she is up there she says and acts the way she wants. I will never believe BC didn't spend countless hours with Cindy prepping her for the depo only to have her go off the rails once questioning started.

GM, I agree totally about Cindy and her relationship with Casey. Cindy goes from hysterical on the phone with LE reporting her grandchild missing and kidnapped by a nutty nanny, yet just hours later she is on the phone with her daughter who is calling from jail where she is held for child neglect and instead of demanding answers from her with regard to Caylee's whereabouts she goes passive aggressive with that butter would melt tone "sweetheart, don't blame me for your being in jail, it's your fault for telling lies" I bet she had told Casey hundreds of times in the past that someday her lies would get her in trouble and now they have. My guess is Cindy was pleased as punch that Casey was in jail, i think the reason for it (Caylee) wasn't even that important, she was just glad she could rub Casey's nose in the fact that Mom was right.

Perhaps they want the right to grieve for their grandchild in privacy. Maybe they see it as a violation of their privacy that they have to grieve for Caylee with others who never even knew her?

I think I could probably see myself being possessive about a deceased loved one if hundreds of strangers came out to mourn their passing, when they didn't even know my family member. *shrug*

I think they gave up their right to privacy in this matter w/their public memorial for Caylee and all their appearances on the talk show circuit. Once you open that can of worms, it is hard to put the lid back on it. They can't pick and choose when they want to public to remember Caylee, and they have no right to take down a memorial that was put on someone else's property.

I don't see what is so disrespectful of someone putting a cross bearing Caylee's name at the site where her remains were found? It was not like they were putting signs up that were disrespectful of Caylee or derogatory towards Casey in any way shape or form. I just think The Anthony's have taken the public's sympathy towards Caylee and as being somehow against Casey. I guess in a way that is true because I think the vast majority of people think and know that Casey was responsible for Caylee's murder. So I guess in a "backwards sort of way" any support for Caylee is immediately taken by The Anthony's as not supporting Casey.

I also think that The Anthony's have to realize that this case has reached international proportions and that Caylee has touched so many people. If someone wants to leave a token at the memorial as their way of showing respect for Caylee, it is the not The Anthony's right to take this away.

This is very different, but shorty after JFK Jr. died in a plane crash, I visited my sister in Boston and we went to the JFK Library where there was a huge memorial to JFK Jr., his wife, and her sister who all died in that plane crash. Everyone was leaving flowers and other items to show their respect to the victims. The memorial was huge and it was really something to see in person. You didn't hear the Kennedy's complaining about it or trying to remove items from the memorial. What The Anthony's are doing is just appalling. They continually amaze me in very unflattering ways w/their words and actions. The best thing they could have done from the beginning would have been to keep their mouths shut and to stay out of public life. They are part of the reason for the media frenzy right now and I don't feel the least bit sorry for them. They helped create this situation and helped it reached the bizarre proportions that it has, so they can't complain about it now and say that they want their privacy. That ship sailed a long time ago.

I just wonder how The Anthony's would feel if this was a memorial to Casey? What if someone decided to erect a memorial in support of Casey? Would The Anthony's then sneak around in the middle of the night taking items away from this memorial? I think not. It is all about Casey now.:sneaky: Through their actions, The Anthony's have shown that they do not care about Caylee at all any longer.:thumbdown:

I am confused about why Baez is motioning the court to prevent the jail video from becoming public, when Baez has gone to measures to actually call more attention to the issue by taking depos and filing them with the court (which makes them public!).

Seems to me, Baez is really making allegations that LE and the corrections officers did something wrong. sigh. IMO, on Dec 11, there was an active investigation going on in regards to this case, and if LE wanted to observe Casey's demeanor, they were well within their rights to do so.

Casey and Baez seem to be paranoid that the corrections officers will "see something" when they are meeting, and if fact the corrections officers did in two instances step in and admonish Baez for inappropriately "hugging" on Casey. Is Baez now saying that corrections officers are also listening in on attorney/client conversations?

Do I have that right? I also read in one of the posts that in order to be heard through the intercom system you have to physically click on in if you want to be heard. So it seems that JB and Casey could not be heard unless it was JB himself messing around w/the intercom system. The way I see it, is that JB is making false accusations and there is no one to substantiate his claims but himself. To me, JB is just blowing hot air then. It will be interesting to hear all the arguments from all sides when they finally hold the hearing about whether or not this tape can be released. I wish they would hurry up and have it already, because I am getting sick and tired of hearing JB whine about it. This tape isn't a huge part of this case at all. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. IMO, Ms. Lyon is going to go on the attack in the process of uncovering the Anthony family secrets. IF Casey is planning on throwing her parents under the bus, which I feel could very well be the case, she will pile up so many stories, lies, embellishments and also some truths. If Casey does this and turns on her parents so aggresiously, I somehow doubt that Cindy would take it all lying down, button her mouth and plead the 5th. False accusations... yes, that is how I see it too. I've said all along that seeing the video is not a biggie, and I think that the depos are much, much more damning to Casey. Shucks, on JB's first media interview upon leaving the jail on Dec 11th, he came right out and said to the world that Casey was given a sedative.

I personally think that Casey is much safer in jail then she ever would be in the outside world. If she would be able to walk, I think she would need to change her identity, have plastic surgery to change her looks, and move somewhere very far away. Perhaps even to another county. I personally think that Casey is much safer in jail then she ever would be in the outside world. If she would be able to walk, I think she would need to change her identity, have plastic surgery to change her looks, and move somewhere very far away. Perhaps even to another county. The public is very outraged w/her and there are some crazy people out there that are capable of doing crazy things. I think if she ever got out, she would be in constant fear of her life. I really and truly think this is only a hypothetical though because I believe that she will be convicted of Caylee's murder. (Of course, Casey has no idea which friend of hers this was) This unknown phantom friend had Casey's car keys, house keys and was aware of the daily schedule of everyone in the house. This "friend" killed Caylee and took the body with him/her and thus began stalking Casey in secret - just waiting for an opportunity to place the body in her trunk.

The phantom friend, body bag in tow, would follow Casey everywhere she went, hoping and praying for an opportunity to dump the body. Lo and behold a prayer was surely answered when Casey mysteriously dumps her car, keys in it, in the parking lot. The phantom friend then begins camping out at the parking lot, just waiting for the car to be either stolen or towed away so they could have an opportunity to put the body in the trunk.

After days of waiting (in the bushes - body bag in tow) a tow truck arrives. Phantom friend, leaping with joy and relief, follows the tow truck to locate the tow yard. Later that night, the phantom friend climbs the fence to the tow yard (with one hand because, of course, the body bag is in the other) and thereby breaks open the trunk of Casey's car and leaves Caylee's body there.

Depending on which "story" you believe, George was either kicked out or left the home towards the end of 2005 and moved back somewhere around Apr/June 2006. George did make mention that Casey was one of the reasons for the breakup. Note, George had at least three different Civil Suits filed by Credit Card/Banking companies in 2006/2007. Nothing prior to him leaving the home late in 2005.
