One year ago today, Tone & Casey went to a barbeque hosted by a friend of Tone’s. This is the first time Casey met Tone’s friends. Casey drove because Tone's car was in the shop. Here's something to start the day. I just read on another site that one of Baez's secretaries quit because they were doing the nasty and she was disgusted with the whole thing. They're also saying that Casey is pregnant thus the weight gain and Jose is freaking in fear that she'll use it against him. Could this be the reason she's busting out of her blouse?

Can she be subpoenaed to testify about what was going on all day while Casey was spending 6 hr. a day with Baez.

Based on timeline research, I think the fight happened between 9:26pm and 10 something. Cindy had been embarassed by Casey stealing from the grandparaents. Hell, I'd been screaming at my kid too. You stole money from them too????????????? Cindy had a right to be mad as hell, and you know, based on what we've seen from Casey in the last year, we'd all like to choke the crap out of her, because she's just a loser, a thief, not a great friend, a liar, and a FAKE.

And you are correct Pru, we did see that rage in the jailhouse visits, and her ability to curtail instantly the conversation, "give the phone to dad, I"m not talking to you anymore."

She's a loose cannon, with a very very short fuse.

DT, I feel that the argument they had that nite was a spillover from the theft from Shirley P. that happened weeks prior (perhaps in April or May IIRC from her statement). Although Shirley P told Casey that she didnt want her setting foot in her house again, it is my belief Cindy was trying to force Casey into going with them on Father's day....make an appearance and apologize in person, something along those lines.

I think Cindy's rage was building, as this particular theft was monumental and she wasnt able to 'clean up Casey' in the eyes of her own mother.....this particular 'loose end' ate away at Cindy, ruined the 'family persona'.....IT WAS A HUGE black mark....and she couldnt fix it simply by 'paying Shirley back'...it went beyond that....

Cindy might have been raging for weeks on Casey about making restitution from her paycheck....which of course she didnt have....

hey, Ive always wondered what lie casey told Cindy about health insurance. she didnt have a job, and Im wondering if they offered health insurance at Universal and casey told Cindy Im covered. if she said oh they dont have plans, how much was Cindy paying for Casey and Caylee per month since they couldnt be on Cindy's plan...

or another scenario: Cindy had her on her plan because she said she was still a dependant...then found out she never enrolled (Annie's statement that Cindy was furious when she found out).....did she 'forget' to advise her company that she was no longer a dependant?

OR: no health coverage for Casey or caylee.

the week prior is when I believe everything blew up.......Casey was not home alot......in fact one nite she was at Ricardo's with Caylee..... and when Father's day arrived, both of them became explosive.

that has been my suspicion from the beginning. I think Geraldo is the *CT family*. He's paying for exclusives during the trial. Sealed the deal on his infamous boat ride with Bozo and wife. jmho.

After the other day I had to let the Grunds know how much we all care about the way they have been treated so I just sent a friendly email to R. Grund and I just got on my page and he took the time to email back which shows me they are caring and loving people who appreciate a simple thank you I am sure he gets tons of emails a day so was very happy to see his email...I also love his statement on his page may have to steal it ..lol..very smart man IMO

I wonder if it is him, if that would affect his contract with Fox. I just can't imagine that it wouldn't. I heard part of it last night and thought GR was way off base. He admits that Casey probably killed Caylee and her defense didn't address it!!!???? Then they say that Jose was prevented from seeing his client. That's the first I heard of that. If that was the case, then he would have beeen screaming that from the get go. And the prosecution leaking things, how about Florida's sunshine law? I didn't watch it all because I just couldn't.

No reaction when the divers found bones - false alarm
Major reaction when reported skeletal remains found close to home.
Now keep in mind Casey always maintained Caylee was close to home.
Also. It wasn't confirmed it was Caylee until December.
Why did Casey react the way she did? She knew whose remains they found. She didn't need Dr G's confirmation

Once again I marvel at how juvenile the writing and sentiments in this motion are by baez. Not to mention incomplete. Where is the depo of Dr. Lynch, it's not there. Did the owner of the bon bon bikini company even bother to depose Dr. Lynch, the one person who could actually answer all his questions?

I personally don't think that Baez would be a 6 hour man....maybe 6 second man...that would leave 6 hours minus 6 seconds...so I really do not think that anything was going on....I think it was more of Casey making phone calls and searching in the computer at his office because they knew everything was being checked at the Anthony home....

It could have been when Baez was believing Casey's story about Zanny the nanny...and she would probably be searching (pretending of course) for Zenaida.....Baez could possibly have had her doing some work for him seeing as he wasn't charging her for the defense....I truly doubt that even Baez would be that stupid as to have an affair with Casey...this case started off big in the media, it was already heading for a high profile case and Baez was happy to have gotten her as a client....

Dont forget, from the very first 911 call from Cindy, this case blew up.....

If some of these folks have been paying attention they might notice that most people who fly too close to the Anthony flame...tend to get burned. My gut tells me that there is going to be some parental fur flying in this trial....I wonder if Brad Conway is up to putting out Anthony fires? If the defense indeed goes for the 'poor parenting' thought...I can see Cindy Anthony turning into a bigger storm than she already is.
I don't think I have ever seen anyone chomp on gum and raise their hand from the gallery in a court proceeding before..given that...? When things heat up in this trial Cindy Anthony is going to be a woman with her tail on fire...Mr. Conway is going to need a pail of water to put her out.

That is his weak explanation for the OC's reaction: Everybody else thought it was Caylee too. The only problem with that is, casey was absolutely certain it was Caylee, hence the physiological reactions.

BTW, ole baez will have no luck with his whine of being kept from his client. The fact is, the jail has every right to take her to the medical clinic for observation and that is exactly what they did. They also don't have to tell the inmate anything when taking them somewhere, imo.

The defense strategy is now becomming very clear to me. GR amazingly echoed/parroted the "talking points" we are constantly hearing.

~LE are slimey scumbags for aggressively exploiting poor Casey at every turn.

I don't know why Casey was so upset when they found a body. I mean didn't she know in her "gut" according to her conversations with the family that Caylee was still alive, she told Lee that was what she felt and that if that feeling changed she wuld let him know. I believe she even told LE the day the GrandJury returned it's verdict and she was arrested that she didn't care if they had a bucket load of evidence that she killed Caylee, she (Casey) knew she was still alive.

My gut tells me that there is going to be some parental fur flying in this trial....I wonder if Brad Conway is up to putting out Anthony fires? If the defense indeed goes for the 'poor parenting' thought...I can see Cindy Anthony turning into a bigger storm than she already is.
I don't think I have ever seen anyone chomp on gum and raise their hand from the gallery in a court proceeding before..given that...? When things heat up in this trial Cindy Anthony is going to be a woman with her tail on fire...Mr. Conway is going to need a pail of water to put her out.

By no means am I sticking up for the Anthony's...they disgust me the way they are handling this.....However, I believe that the entire fault is Casey for the murder o her child...I wouldn't care how bad C & G's parenting was, it would not amount to a person murdering their own child.....

There are children that are raised in worst circumstances then Casey and do not grow up to be murderers..There are drunks, drug addicts, people who leave their children unattended, who starve their children and beat them....I don't see that any of that is apparent here...I think it was more of a case where Casey was spoiled rotten and was never made to be accountable, but that would not lead a person to this...

The Anthony's are still defending her and protecting her when what she did is unforgivable and no way should they be covering up for her....

But if spoiling a child is considered bad parenting, then we would have many more Casey's out here...JMO

What does happen is that the volunteers deduct their expenses (office supplies, phone, travel, etc.). Who is to say that a piece of paper was used for one case or another? This only works if you're already deducting such items on your return. I'm not 100% sure if it's legal, but it would take the IRS too many man hours to search down every phone call and check if it concerned the pro bono case or a paying case.

Bottom line: there are some benefits, but remember that piece of paper and the phone call took money out of the volunteer's pocket. Jose may deduct a phone call, but he has to pay for it and is getting no money back.

Regarding the inmate who supposedly witnessed Casey "breaking down" after she heard about the DP.

I watched the video of that woman and I just don't believe her. Her story has too much detail, too much embellishing, like Casey does in most of her interviews with LE. My Mom always said "too many details usually equals lies". I agree with the other posters that say this woman is just looking for her claim to fame. :thumbdown:

Yes, it is a must see. I am surprised that GR actually said that he thinks that it is very likely that Casey was the one who murdered her child, but he lost me after that. I don't like how he said that the prosecutors are using every dirty trick in the book against her. As much as most posters feel, I personally don't care if the trial takes place in 2010. That is only 6 months away if held in Jan (don't think it will that). From the time little Caylee was found has been 6 months, hasn't seem so far from that time. When October was said to be the trial date I never thought that would happen with Bozo as the lawyer. He can't be working very hard for OC with all the media he does not complaining about discovery and leaks...subshine Law you idiot .As long as the OC is in jail that's fine with me. I watched the video of that woman and I just don't believe her. Her story has too much detail, too much embellishing, like Casey does in most of her interviews with LE. My Mom always said "too many details usually equals lies". I agree with the other posters that say this woman is just looking for her claim to fame. :thumbdown: Officers would NEVER strap down a prisoner on a guerney in front of other prisoners nor do it in the cell area. And, if he wasn't done in the cell area, how could this prisoner witness both locations???? Never happened. jmo

Also, prisoners who are loud or out of control are usually tossed into the padded drunk cell until they calm down. They are NOT left in a common area to disturb other prisoners. Ditto for people who attempt suicide. They are put where they cannot do anything or disturb anyhone. (It pays to have a County sheriff as a friend.

I have a problem with the idea that TonE L knew that anything was amiss with Caylee. He only met her two or three times. He only started screwing Casey in the beginning of June. Two weeks later Caylee is gone. He is a young guy going to school, working, and having a fling with a hot chick. I doubt too many men in his situation would spend very much time wondering where their girlfriends 2 yr old is. Her explanation seems reasonable, a babysitter or grandparents. I doubt he gave it much thought, beyond it's her kid, her problem, she seems to have it under control. He stated that Casey never seemed upset or concerned for Caylee.. so why would he?

It is my understanding that when/if the Defense requests the right to a "speedy trial" - the Pros has to jump through hoops to meet that demand - they do not have a choice. But the Defense can delay and delay and delay.

I do not understand why it would take a year for the new Dream Team member to get up to "speed" on the case. I realize that a DP case must be handled very carefully and thoroughly, but a year?

I also realize that if the Judge does not grant the motion for the "full delay" that it can result in an Appeal issue.

I am a Canadian and yet I have understood for months that the state is not leaking information that it's the sunshine law in Florida that gives the media access to the evidence so why can't Baez and Geraldo who are both lawyers get it right. Baez practises in Florida and doesn't know about the sunshine laws no wonder he's so bad at his job. The only true serial killers in Florida that I can think of who got the DP are Ted Bundy and Aileen Wournos. Bundy killing a BUNCH of women but receiving death for killing a young girl.

I don't think Casey would commit suicide. She is more likely to drive someone else to se it. She has probably convinced herself either that Cindy or Caylee drove her to it and she IS innocent.

Right, exactly why these serial killers have the upper hand. When compared to a man who kills his wife, they have more protection against the DP because they have secrets to reveal in exchange for their lives. IMO

I'm hoping this week that some of the THs will respond to this madness by informing the public of Florida laws and having some rebuttle to these false claims JB and now AL are spewing all over TV.

They are acting out of such desperation I'm beginning to feel that there really is something they are secretly freaked out about. LIKE that tape which might show inappropriate contact on behalf of JB in relationship to the OC.

I wonder if the state can stand up in court and ask the judge to explain the sunshine law to the defense team because they don't seem to understand it and they don't want any misunderstanding popping up during trial?

The prosecution is simply treating Casey like the killer that she is. She doesn't have to be a serial killer in order to deserve the DP, at least IMO. The murder of your own 2 year old daughter is more than plenty to warrant the DP.ITA.... Justin Barber received the death penalty for killing his wife...Caylee was just 2 years old...You don't have to be a Danny Rollings or Ted Bundy to receive the death penalty...Also, in Florida IIRC, you don't need all 12 jurors for a verdict, just 8...mo

As if killing an innocent, defenseless 2 year old baby, driving around in hot whether with her in the trunk decomposing and throwing her away like garbage is somehow "better". So I fail to see where Bundy is worse just because he performed more murders. I certainly do wish the THs would counter some of these outrageous statements.

"Professor" Lyan will most likely not want to take time off from her "teaching" so look for a trial during the summertime. Summer of 2010? More likely Summer of 2011 or 2012. Unless Lyon is successful in getting the death penalty taken back off the table, which would mean that her job is done. (IMO, she is only on the team for that reason, and Baez has no intentions of letting her take over "his case")

I think the state is VERY confident in their case. I don't think for a minute they would have put the DP back on the table without sufficient evidence to warrant that. They have been keeping their cards close to the vest and allowing the defense to continue to act out like fools. No wonder that gentleman laughed - it is really obvious that JB and Company have absolutely no idea what they are doing. No strategy. I may very well be wrong, because the doc dumps haven't shown anything promising thus far, but I really believe the State has a thing or two that will tie Casey directly to the remains of her Daughter.

IMO, the only way she can get the DP off the table is with a plea deal for LWOP. I seriously doubt the state would go for anything less than that. So, if she does get DP off, that means a confession and there would be no trial anyway. JMO



IMO the problem with that is, the OC has nothing to bargain with. Had she agreed to this prior to the discovery of Caylee's remains she might have been able to bargain for LWOP, or even a lesser charge, if she made a full confession based on an accident.

Now that there is so much evidence, the body, the heartshaped sticker and whatever else was found prior to and since, she has nothing to offer the pros. It isn't in their best interests to bargain with her now, imo, my guess is their case must be pretty solid or they wouldn't have put the DP back up to begin with.
