There is one good thing about this case if it's televised. I will get plenty of nice long naps when Baez speaks. He could put an army to sleep

Hi Hanford. Lavinia just signed off to get a good nite's sleep. She mentioned a prison she thought Casey might go to but didn't know that much about it other than it was one of the least modern prisons. I liked hearing that.
Anyway, she also said she was going to study up more on the whole subject and keep us informed.
I also really like Lavinia's input.
Thanks Talamoth,
This is probably too late, but Goodnight!
(and I went back and read through the posts and got more info.
I didn't realize things happen so fast here!)

I think the waterboy is in for a rude awakening, come trial. He's shown me no lawyering skills the few times I have seen them in court, and he generally either gets cut off by the judge, or his filings seem incomplete. Trust me, this guy is a rookie trial lawyer. The state has set up their best attorneys and prosecutors. The state is going to run this trial in an expert manner. The waterboy won't know what hit him.
Add that to a client that really will never come clean as to what happened. NOTHING SHE SAYS CAN BE BELIEVED. She'll lie at every turn. She even said so herself. The defense team is going to have to investigate everything she says so they know the full story and can corrobrate every detail. I'll bet you she's told them her new cell phone really is over there in her corner office at Universal Studios.
Imagine her walking down this hall towards an office she's never seen before defiantly, with two detectives behind her. And she's trying to fake them out. And she's carried the big employment at Universal Studios lie to this point - this hallway. And in her mind, she knows her story is crumbling with each step. Did she think they were going to say, "Okay, Casey, well, we believe you work here, let's head back to the police station, okay?" Was she that stupid?
Personally, in my opinion, I think she's been doing anything but talking about the upcoming trial and what happened. Remember when her mom was asked by the reporters as she was putting this no trespassing signs on her lawn? "Do you talk to Casey about what happened to Caylee?" Answer? "No, we do not talk about that, or what happened." HUH? "Well, what do you talk about then?" Answer - "I tell Casey how much I love her, blah blah blah."
Casey went home from jail, and did what? Baked Brownies, and updated her myspace page?
That's what the waterboy is up against. Geez Louise.

Just wanted to commend posters following this case. I lurk here and over on the Haleigh Cummings threads. You are all very respectful right here. Just thought I should say so.

 That is very scary for the defense side.
Except that Jose won't even be at the defense table come trial in October, or more likely sometime NEXT spring (unless to wipe Casey's sweaty brow?).

right on the money DT.
with regard to Cindy, she seems to be hung up on her 'we did not get a chance to talk to Casey' from the moment on when LE arrived to 'investigate' Cindy's call. she forgot she got bailed out and was living there.....how did she forget the protestors and the reason why they were outraged?
Cindy was housing her and 'didnt ask her any questions'?....and you know what? I BELIEVE SHE DIDNT ASK HER A THING.....as evidenced by her giving Casey the ok to tell family services the same lie she told LE about Universal....and that interview was conducted in August, with Cindy. IMO, she didnt want to wake the BEAST up.....last time she saw the beast she was raging out the door with Caylee and thats the last time she saw Caylee, in the arms of her monster daughter..
then the world saw the beasty side of Casey in the jailhouse video, raging with her fists.....so that persona DOES exist....and what was THAT rage about? nothing important other than "I wanna talk"! and given the chance to talk, she continued to rage "I wanna talk"!
alot of raging because she didnt want to discuss 'her story' anymore. imagine what REALLY provoked her that nite......she was free, and free to rage....and suddenly Caylee is never heard from again.....
IMO
best regards,
Pru

Hello, Mayasmimi! I lurk here also and agree with you. But this hasn't gone to trial yet. The trolls will probably come out of the woodwork when that happens.
But this thread has sensible people who have a good sense of humor. That should derail the trolling.
Please forgive my lack of knowledge - does anyone have a clue as to a trial date?
CJ
The trial was supposed to start in October. The new attorney has a book coming out in January. The talking heads say that the judge will most likely reset the trial date to some time next spring, as the new attorney will not have had enough time to prepare. Stunning!!!!!!!!!!! No?
Geesh.
Sensible people here for sure. I wonder if it's because Haleigh hasn't been found that folks over there are all over the place. Guess so. I pray Haleigh will be found safe, or found. I just don't understand what is wrong with parents today. Tearing up. These cases are heart breaking.
Can certainly agree that it's difficult to raise a child(ren) as a single parent. Just a different generation of children having children. None of the parents in either case is a good parent. Nor do I think any of the grandparents are all that GRAND.
Very sad for all involved.....for different reasons, but still don't understand any of this.

Dick - Baez sounds like he is defending a DUI that will go away if he can blame LE. What a pill! Does he really think anyone cares who or what he is or thinks. O/T We went to UofW many yrs ago, love Seattle. Nordstroms had a small shoe store in U Dist. - their start, I think.
He's in very a rude awakening. His client and the truth are total strangers.
I remember the shoe store in the U District. Alot has changed up here in the last thirty years. Traffic!!!!!!!!!!!!

Based on timeline research, I think the fight happened between 9:26pm and 10 something. Cindy had been embarassed by Casey stealing from the grandparaents. Hell, I'd been screaming at my kid too. You stole money from them too????????????? Cindy had a right to be mad as hell, and you know, based on what we've seen from Casey in the last year, we'd all like to choke the crap out of her, because she's just a loser, a thief, not a great friend, a liar, and a FAKE.
And you are correct Pru, we did see that rage in the jailhouse visits, and her ability to curtail instantly the conversation, "give the phone to dad, I"m not talking to you anymore."
She's a loose cannon, with a very very short fuse.

We won't even remember Baez by the time this case goes to trial. I completely forgot Scott Peterson's original attorney until another informed me it was McAllister. Guess a local, unknown always takes the case....and when the thunder clouds build a well known attorney finds the case worthy. Seems Casey's new attorney has never lost a DP case. Sorry, can't remember her name, and way to tired to search. No worries. Her name is the only one we'll remember this time next year. I choose not to remember her until I have too. Kidding.

Agree. Children aren't born like this IMO. It's created. I am troubled by the actions of Casey's parents, but.........there is still no excuse for what Casey has been accused of. I am sick to death of children blaming their parents. Just a different world, I guess.

Hi anyone who is still on..
After the other day I had to let the Grunds know how much we all care about the way they have been treated so I just sent a friendly email to R. Grund and I just got on my page and he took the time to email back which shows me they are caring and loving people who appreciate a simple thank you I am sure he gets tons of emails a day so was very happy to see his email...I also love his statement on his page may have to steal it ..lol..very smart man IMO
Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord,But those who deal truthfully are His delight. That about says it all!
I really do not feel right posting his email back to me I would not want that family thinking I just wanted to get a email from them to just pass it on to everyone.nor do I know that A certain person is not reading everything we say and I really would not give any of them the pleasure of reading such kind words and twist it to benefit them...HE DID NOT SAY ONE WORD about the Anthony's only that they love and miss Caylee very much and always think of the what if's and if only she had been their baby girl..
These are the people I will send emails to not the ones that want to call us lazy, sad. overweight, bloggers per Cindy's emails back to a lot of you..I will never waste my time on any of them have not even been on their fruadation page...
I do hope anyone that supports the Grunds sends them a simple we are thinking of you.
