Still learning the ropes around here, so I was still posting in the Saturday thread :tongueside: until some kind poster directed me here (Thanks!)
I copied what I posted over there...
Something that has nagged at me for a bit...I thought I read that not too long after the car was picked up from Amscot, the Anthony's miracously decided to get a new clothes washer.
WTF? If that doesn't spell "we have something to hide" I don't know what does. Is it possible LE somehow confiscated or found that old washing machine, since I am sure that's the machine that washed Casey's clothes Cindy found in the car.
Any thoughts on this?
I think that came from Leonard P. Don't believe we have any evidence if it was truth or rumor.

Great, JB makes me want to drink at 10 am. LKB is going to make me want to smoke even more than I do. Before anyone even starts to tell me what the effects that AL is going to have on my psych, I am going to need therapy. Someone hold my hand..... I'm scared.
there, there now, don't be afraid. I have your hand and you'll be safe. but just to be sure, we'll go down and have a drink at 9:00 a.m. if you like, shall we? Just name the time and place. lol
I think we're all going to have to have therapy before this is all over. The ones that really needs it though don't have a clue. Poor souls.

Well, perhaps not. I've heard Florida has only recommended death for three women ever. To me, however, this case is more heinous than just about any other case I have heard of where parents kill their children. Except Chris Coleman - and I bet HE gets the DP
"Two women have been executed in Florida, both post-Furman. The first to be executed was Judy Buenoano, executed in 1998 for killing, at different times, her husband (1971) and son (1980). The second was Aileen Wuornos, a serial killer who was executed in 2002 for seven murders committed in 1989 and 1990."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_individuals_executed_in_Florida
Also, IIRC, there's one woman on death row now.
OMG ITA with you worth watching it again
I must say, I am impressed with Lyons in stating over and over that, when she files the motions, everyone reading them will understand exactly where she is going and that she isn't going to give previews and information to the press beforehand. (Just as everyone on the defense team should have been doing since the beginning of this case, IMO.)
Also, LKB wasn't answering the questions of the reporters, she was just trying to stir up the Dec 11 fracus. I like it that the reporter (assuming it was Kathi B) who kept trying to redirect her back to the question. And, my goodness, after demanding the press go to the prosecution and ask them the "tough questions" Jose couldn't come up with a single question, and deferred to LKB.
I think what Jose hasn't gotten yet is, like Lyons states she will do, the prosecution isn't going to be talking to the press about the case. The reason the press doesn't dog the State's steps is because all they get is "no comment" so know there isn't any profit in trying to get a story from them. If Jose wants the media to quit hounding the defense, perhaps if they started saying "no comment" the press would soon realize they are wasting their time. The only coverage would be @ the hearings. Oh, but gee, that would mean no daily coverage, wouldn't it?
I don't get the lawyers' stance on the DP. Heck, the statutes spelling out why this can be DP has been posted on message boards--even before the waiver months ago. The lawyers don't have access to the same information lay people can get to? Altho, I guess there are some lawyers on various boards who might have been the ones to post the statutes.
I don't get that last guy---uhmmm....another thing pointed out on message boards and by NG (who was a lawyer and should know) is that, the state had the right to change their mind and go for the DP. And, I would think, finding Caylee's remains and additional evidence related to that would certainly give cause to ask for the DP. Just because they haven't gotten every thing in discovery (not evidence until trial, ya know Brad C says) doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Perhaps they should ask their client what the state found along w/Caylee's remains. A little inside information would go a long way, I'd think.

Hi Amy! There is no way on this earth that Lyon is going to allow the incompetent baez to screw up the guilt phase of this trial. Lyon is the lead attorney and as such will direct how this case is tried, in both phases. imo

She cannot sit still and the only time I have seen her not do this is when she is talking to her family. She is out of her element when she is talking to anyone other than family.
I'm just glad we don't have to listen to biaz bumble his way through a trial. He irritates me when he can't "get it said".
He bumbled thru his opening of the pc, too. I wasn't sure WHAT he was talking about, except the part about the media going after the prosecution. Oh, and to tell reporters to not chase after them when the pc is over. Yep, big man, Jose. And, of course, he was pretty clear when Kathi asked a question and he says "not now, Kathi." He is such a baffoon when he acts that way. A lot of words, but no sense to make out of it, IMO.
What? You don't think Casey's earned a law degree in all these months she's been reading law books while munching away on pork rhinds?
I wonder if she could get a degree from the school Jose was "professoring" @? He could put in a good word, tell the school how much self-study time she put in and all that. Heck, that would save the taxpayers from having to pay for whatever education she wants to pursue in prison. She will already have her lawyering degree for when she gets out--or to help other prisoners since I don't see her getting out. IMO

Good one!
I have a stong sense after reading everything available that Ms. Lyon's focus is to defeat the death penalty ---- not so much in getting a not guilty verdict for the client. I think you're correct here, Tal.
That's kind of how I take it. A "win" for a DP attorney is not whether or not the client is found guilty, but that the client is not sentenced to death. In fact, disregarding some of them pronouncing to the world about their client's "innocence" some of the seem to go in knowing the verdict will be guilty, but they are determined no DP.
If the DP is removed pre-trial, does Lyons stay on, or is her work done, so to speak?

I think she would've listened to someone like Lenamon more, because he's a man. She might see her mother in Lyons ~ controlling, domineering, etc. and totally resent her. The one photo posted here from the hearing almost said it all. Casey does not like her, imo.
I'm not so sure about that. OC might disagree on the defense tactics, but I don't see anything yet that says she didn't like the woman. I might be a bit generous but that picture seemed to me like she was merely concentrating hard on what was being told to her.
I think if Lyons takes a warm, gentle mothering approach, as in, the mother Casey never had, they might get some kind of rapport going. If Lyons can work that to her advantage, she might be able to persuade the accused to try a different defense. Otherwise I can see her leaving this case, as she isn't going to risk her rep defending a completely hopeless cause with a combative client.

I followed the PS case buty not too long on the board....I kept getting banned....
Barbara, you're way too nice to get banned. How the heck did that happen?
Thanks for linking this, Reggie.
I haven't read it all. But I believe it answers some questions. Like, it only takes ONE AGGRAVATING FACTOR for it to be a DP case.
Baez was bumbling the other day about the State not getting back to him on WHY they are seeking the DP. I was wondering if there was a score card on AGG FACTORS. If a minimum were needed. I didn't think so. Because I've seen cases where there were 3, 8, etc. All over the board.
So, Baez was rambling about a whole lotta nothing, IMO. The State doesn't need to get back to him about anything. Caylee was under 12. There!!! That in itself can be a reason, Jose.
Maybe Jose lost the letter explaining that? Or just forgot to share it w/Todd M? (Didn't he come in after the DP was put in?) He was very vehement about not having the information from the state why they changed their minds about it. Or, perhaps, he's in just as much denial as anyone else connected w/Casey seems to be. He needed to get a grip, really. I do hope Lyons would point that out to him, show him the darn letter and get over it.
I do hope she really has the control to tell everyone (on the team, @ least--the A's don't listen to anyone, it seems) to shut their traps and let the case be tried in the courtroom. Of course, that sure cuts down on everything we would be posting about. :tongueside:

As someone posted earlier how cohesive can this team be? Jose the idiot is the only one licensed to practice law in Florida (for now until the FL Bar rules), LKB from NY, AL from Chicago and Todd (facing charges) in CA, and the questionable Dr. Fingernail Lee from CT. imo
If Casey decides to tell the truth now or before the trail starts what would become of the case at this point? Would she still need all the lawyers to represent her, would she still have to go to trail and let the jurors verdict her or would the case close and the judge would decide her sentencing? (Although she has proclaimed she is innocent to this day I am curious as to what would happen should she confess now). JMO
The trouble is, would anyone actually believe her "confession?" That would be a problem w/her getting on the stand, too. Could you actually believe anything she says? As Judge Judy would say, you've lied once, and now I don't believe a word you say. And, Judge Marilyn Malin--Now I wouldn't believe you if your tongue was notarized.

Lavenia, how did we live without you for 4 days! Glad to see you back.
Does the prison ease the inmates in their system slowly or just put them in GP and say "Go Girl". Do they always have room mates except on death row? Do they do their own laundry including towels and sheets? Do they still get commissary goodies? Are they in cuffs and etc when they go to the dining room? Silly questions, huh?
Hey sweet Sus! They will stop first on their "chain in" at reception and classification. That will take days to weeks or more, to determine their health problems, psychological status, sexual preferences, gang affiliations (if any), type of crime and media coverage of the same. They will then determine where to house her both for her protection and others. I would be STUNNED if they turned her out to Gen. Pop. first rattle out of the bag.
The prison does wash their sheets, although it is one sheet and it is the roughest muslin you can imagine. then they have a cheap wool blanket. No pillow. Their clothes aren't washed everyday and it's very, very common to have a b!tch that does your clothes for you by hand ironing them between the mattress and the iron/cement block which is their Sterns and Foster, lol. Their soap, unless they get soap from the store, is a small piece if homemade castile soap. Almost all inmates get store except those on severe restriction. If she is in SEG/SHU, she won't go to a dining hall or chow hall as they call them. She will eat in her cell. You know those slots in the doors they can open to handcuff the inmate before they open the large door? Here, we call those "bean slots" because that's where their food tray is passed to them.
If an inmate is in general population, here, whether they want to eat at the chow hall or not, they have to go. Inmates move as a group and they don't want inmates here, there and everywhere. They aren't handcuffed to go to chow, but they are searched before going into the show hall and after leaving chow. Inmates are counted constantly throughout the day.
Bella Vida, huh?

I could see that too but I also wouldn't underestimate AL's capability to get reality across to her. Even and Odious Creature will feel stark terror if they feel their life is at stake. I am hoping that AL's presence will totally undermine the sick little cult OC and JB have going on.
If she can be as nasty to witnesses as people say, then she has it in her to take Casey by the ear and say, "LISTEN YOU! DO YOU WANT TO DIE??? BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN UNLESS YOU DO EXACTLY LIKE I SAY!"
If she can't get through to OC, then she will lose the case, imo. She might even walk away first before getting fired. IDK, but I can't imagine things continuing on the way they have been in this case as long as AL is part of it. JMO

I think AL has two roles in this case, the first is to argue that the death penalty is not warranted in this circumstance (if it is not too late to argue such) the second and I think most important is to save Casey's a** from the needle. That will come in the penalty phase, Lyon I don't believes cares a whit about guilt or innocence, she is anti death penalty and that is all she cares about. To get the "most hated woman in Florida" LWOP would be a feather in her cap. As far as Baez, I don't think Casey will allow him to be less than a driving force on her "Team" . She can manipulate men much better than she can women and she prefers men over women. I say Casey keeps her Waterboy around thru the trial and when convicted lets AL have her way to keep her off death row. Neither AL or LKB are going to spend time handholding with Casey in jail and she has no interest in them doing so, that is what Baez is there for. He has show his willingness to listen to and swallow her BS and that is what she craves.

Way back when I was in college, a freshman, I lived in a dorm that housed mostly seniors. It wasn't easy learning to mix in -- they made it as hard as they could, most of them. Just making sure the freshman knew their place. In that dorm, every Saturday night, a bunch of senior girls would sit down in the hallway, lining each side, and play bridge. The cards were in the middle of the hallway, between them. My room was at the very end of the hall, so when I left to go out on dates on Saturday night, I had to walk down that hallway, careful not to step on the cards or bump into one of the senior girls. This was their way of initiating the girls who they didn't like, who had dates, and who were freshman. I'd planned to move out sophmore year to a sorority, so I ignored them, played their little game -- but I can only imagine what kind of initiation new prisoners get in prison. :scared: :scared:
It's one thing for some old maid seniors to block a hallway with playing cards -- I could just walk away. But in prison, there's no way out. Unimaginable.
I'd be toast.

Thanks for that info. I actually looked up the female prisoners from Lowell Annex and all the LWOP are in what they call close except for Tiffany Cole the DP convict (max)
Here is their custody grades. Maximum, Close, Medium, Minimum, Community
The system uses five (5) distinct groups, described as custody levels: maximum, close, medium, minimum, and community.
Maximum: Refers to inmates who are under a sentence of death.
Close: Refers to inmates who must be maintained within an armed perimeter or under direct, armed supervision when outside of a secure perimeter.
Medium: Refers to inmates eligible for placement at a work camp with a secure perimeter, but who are not eligible for placement in an outside work assignment without armed supervision.
Minimum: Refers to inmates eligible for outside work assignments, but not for placement at a community residential facility.
Community: Refers to inmates eligible for placement at a community residential facility.
Close Management I: Restrictive single cell, single occupancy housing level.
Inmates at this level have committed the most serious violations and are considered extreme security and management risks.
An inmate assigned to CM I is not eligible for a work assignment inside or outside the CM unit.
Privileges are the most restrictive at this close management level.
Close Management II: Restrictive cell housing--may be single or double occupancy.
Inmates at this level have committed serious violations of policy and are considered extreme security and management risks.
Inmates in CM II status are eligible for work assignments in CM I, CM II, death row housing units, and restricted labor squads.
Inmates in this status are afforded more privileges and program opportunities than CM I inmates.
Close Management III: Restrictive double occupancy cell housing.
This is the least restrictive of the three close management levels.
CM III inmates are provided program opportunities outside of their cell housing as a transition phase preparing for their return to the general inmate population.

I believe that the witnesses are quizzed as to whether they have watched any airing of the trial when they are on the stand since they are not supose to see other testimony until they have testified. But we know that Cindy WILL watch, then lie about it.

And Casey is enjoying all of the attention she is getting in this photo. Yea, well, when I start to feel sorry for G and C I just remember their behavior at the depo for ZG and then I come back to my senses!!
I totally agree' she loves that all these people are there for her. She ignores George and Cindy caused they can't do anything for her and she doesn't want to be questioned. Baez doesn't ask her questions she doesn't want to answer cause he doesn't want to know those things. They are going with Casey's story and twisting the evidence to fit it. By the time she needs G/C to get up on that stand and lie for her, she thinks they will be so grateful for any crumb of attention she throws their way that they'll stand on their heads and blow bubbles out of their a**es to to help her.

 I agree...
I also believe she had spoken to C&G (prior to court on Thurs.). That was why CA was so upset, I believe. I think they were told to 'Shut up'.
I think she may have only seen KC after the Thurs. hearing. I say this only because KC didn't look too worried yet.
But the next court hearing is going to be really good.
However, because she is now on board, I doubt there will be too many frivolous court appearances.
JMO
I agree with you about George and Cindy. Cindy was visibly upset when she and George entered the courtroom and sat down.. And I don't think it was because no one saved them a seat up front.. Lyons came in shortly before the Anthonys did, so I would guess that there was a "chat" between the three of them... And I think Cindy found out she isn't the driving force behind her daughter's defense.
What interests me as well about this last hearing was Casey completely ignoring her parents and the parents standing there pathetically hoping for a glance or smile from her. I want to see what happens during the next hearing that Casey is required to attend to see if she acknowledges her parents or if they stand there looking "pathetic" again...

If Casey decides to tell the truth now or before the trail starts what would become of the case at this point? Would she still need all the lawyers to represent her, would she still have to go to trail and let the jurors verdict her or would the case close and the judge would decide her sentencing? I bet that Cia is not going to happy with all of AK questions about kc growing up....you know that attorney is going to be looking everywhere for any abuse, emotional, physical etc.....I just cannot see cin being truthful (choke, cough, cough)..........cin just may have a nervous breakdown before this is over. (jmo)
adair, dont you know that cindy already became despondent, you know, when Caylee was still 'missing' but "ALIVE" although Cindy was busily making her rounds on numerous phone interviews and sitdowns making that claim, she was just missing.....but then : she claims, she too wrote suicide notes, because 'you know when you miss someone so badly'.....
George was getting attention for his 'cough cough' attempt.....so she had to make a point of talking about her 'notes', but oopsy, she forgot, the time period she mentioned is when she was STRONG AS BULL claiming caylee was in the mountains, in california, possibly puerto rico, while pointing the finger at Casey's friends AND....
sitting with family services as Casey tells her Universal employment story to them and Cindy sits mute and allows the bogus work history to once again be put on the record as TRUE.
also, careful Cindy: she didnt report her husband 'missing'...she had conway do that. she had enough wherewithal to avoid speaking to 911and being recorded. that took precedent over her 'fear for George's life'....
"I wrote suicide notes back in the end of July and August because I couldn't bear not having Caylee around and not knowing," she said during the second day of interviews on CBS' "Early Show."
so let me get this straight, she leaves a voicemail for Det Allen July 23rd, telling LE how to do their job and claiming her daughter 'had help' if a certain scenario would happen to play out........all the while telling public that she Casey 'knows' who has Caylee and she is ALIVE.
too many words, too many explanations as to how she made a mistake with the date.....waited for her mother to get up and blah blah blah (IS THAT IMPORTANT!?) too many words, classic liar.
link to voicemail and of course excerpts from her infamous 'I wrote suicide notes' interview.....

Thanks for responding spot and Talamoth.
So if she pled guilty or confessed either one would spare her from DP?
Not necessarily. IT would spare her the TRIAL. The prosecution could still ask for any punishment they deemed appropriate and the Judge would make the decision.
There's no way, Baez wants to avoid a trial. He wants to ORATE - it might help if he sounded a little more intelligent in my opinion. Mark Hacking pled guilty and no one has heard anything about the case since. HE got 6 to life. I don't know what the prosecution was asking for.

adair, dont you know that cindy already became despondent, you know, when Caylee was still 'missing' but "ALIVE" although Cindy was busily making her rounds on numerous phone interviews and sitdowns making that claim, she was just missing.....but then : she claims, she too wrote suicide notes, because 'you know when you miss someone so badly'.....

I think so too. Along those lines, I found it kind of amusing when she was arrested for murder, she knew Jose's phone number off the top of her head without even thinking about it. Contrast that to last summer when she was begging Lee to get hold of Tony's phone number for her. Funny she didn't have it memorized! And when she got Jose's office on the line, she said something like "Hi, it's Casey...is Jose there?" Just like they're on the same professional level. MOO

These are the aggravating factors that I see making Casey's case a DP case:
1. Child under the age of 12
2. Casey was in a position of trust w/Caylee
3. Crime was heinous, atrocious, and cruel per the duct tape
4. Crime was committed during an act of child abuse (duct tape) which I think it makes if felony murder??
Are there any that I am missing? So that means that there are at least 4 factors making this a DP case, and seriously, JB still doesn't think it warrants the DP?

Thats what I dont understand Lyons is saying innocent. If she was going to go with family dysfunction wouldnt she say not guilty?
By Lyon saying that Casey is innocent, it means to me that they are going to still go w/the SODDI defense. Maybe once AL reads up on this case and gets more up to speed, we will hear something different from her. But as of now I still feel that their defense strategy is that Casey did not do this or have a hand in this at all. That means that they either have to go w/the non existent nanny did it or try to say one of Casey's innocent ex friends or associates did it. If Lyons goes w/either one of those 2 scenarios, I will lose respect for her.

wow Pru...it's like you're reading my mind.
MDetective, IMO Cindy's lying is going to be a huge factor in this trial.....all that she has said and done will backfire on her. it will lead to a conviction. IMO
Casey wont look at them. and IMO not because she is avoiding press fodder....there is nothing unusual about a defendant looking at the people that support them and acknowledging them.
there is something 'not quite right' with her ignoring them and IMO, someone alluded to them they are not in the safety zone anymore.
*as if they ever were*
this is what happens when two psychos go at it....one of them is always going to make attempts to trump the other....
Cindy won the first round......the very first jailhouse call.....she was downright arrogant with Casey talking about her pressers....it was jaw dropping.....and casey was downright outraged that her 'vacation' as a single person was abruptly ended by her mother...GIVE ME TONY's #!
and where was Caylee in all of this?
she was not their focus....the focus was on them and their cutthroat posturing.
Cindy covered for her and repeatedly told her in the jailhouse visit they BELIEVED her and supported her....but Casey knew it wasnt entirely true: Casey's mind, IMO: why would they be asking more questions, if they believed her "new story of Blanchard Park"?
Cindy feigned support and Casey knew it. Cindy was attempting to communicate to her: Ill do this if you keep your mouth shut about OUR tangle the nite we engaged in an angry encounter.....
IMO, Casey is going to roll on her mother.....of course it will not equate to Cindy as her partner in this crime. In Casey's mind, it will diminish her actions, she was provoked. She knows Cindy's secret is sacred to Cindy. Its now time to save her butt. its payback time. (although that defense will not fly, but we are talking about Casey's mini-mind)
Cindy went to extraordinary lengths to keep 'the argument' out of the picture. she did not want anyone to know that Casey reacted to HER confrontation. but someone does know: Casey told Jesse she left because of her mother. Casey told several individuals she didnt want to be home because of her parents, that was one of the versions.
the truth was out there already with other individuals. Cindy failed to realize that.
Cindy has a superiority complex.

Thank you very much. Great read. The involvment of the family is critical in her strategy. My favorite line: "Before you interview your client's family members, be sure to have in mind some of the different possible reactions they may have".
Lyon's theme song now may become "If I had a hammer".

Turns out the black man in the hood is the caretaker (for the last 3 years) for the 86 yr stoke victim neighbor to me for the last 25 yrs. You must be talking about Alieen Wournos. She fired her attorney's and wanted to die. She didn't want any more appeals. Her death warrant was signed. Her ex-attorney thought she was crazy, lol, and wanted her mentally checked out before going ahead with the execution. The Governor gave her a stay until it could be done. A mental check was performed and she was cleared. If it hadn't been for her willingness to die, IMO, she'd still be lingering on DR.

She will never chew gum again, driink water or wear green and will be terrifiied of her refrig. Otherwise, she would have to look at them for over 1500 hours just to get ready for a 3 month trial, then look at them all thru trial for a min. of 1575 hours. Will Cindy intimidate her or just make her nuts. I assure you she will never forget Cindy or Casey.

Only if she uses Baez's laptop, which I have no doubt she does. I would like to see exactly HOW much work he is doing on it when he visits her.

Livinia - great post! Sorry if this has been discussed already - just trying to catch up here.
I find your post fascinating as I am trying to imagine what difficulties the OC might experience there. It sounds like she will be protected from nefarious activities being done on her and the like of that. From your perception of OC, what about prison do you think will make life unbearable for her, if anything. I had really wanted LWOP for her so she could get her just desserts there.
It sounds like she will be in a private cell and away from everyone else, eating in there, etc. Are there times where she is exposed to the outside of her cell at all such that she would have contact with other inmates?
Please tell more! Love your posts!
She will most certainly be in a cell alone for some time. It is still very intimidating. I remember when I went for my first job interview, I was wearing a long black skirt and a sweater. A friend I knew there took me on a tour of ADSEG/SHU. I got all kinds of cat calls, Johnny Cash jokes (he usually wore all black) and funeral jokes. You could see men masturbating in their cells. and the SCREAMING was awful. Protective housing is far from absolute safety, BTW. The inmates know those doors can be jacked and they can still get assaulted and killed. Fire can be thrown into their cells. Poison darts can be blown into the inmates cell. Has their food been tampered with? Is the orderly down the hall when you are being escorted to shower or rec on the up and up or does he have a contract on you?
I am anxious to see how tough this little white middle class spoiled brat is in the face of the real hood.

The work I did with the women in the local jail amazed me as the one thing they all were eagerly awaiting was their trip to prison. They said prison time was far easier than jail time. More privileges, better food, better commissary, more actifvities. That was the most shocking thing to me.

Sandy, I worked in a men's max. security prison in Texas and a Low sec. and max. penitentiary in Texas. I have NO experience with the females and one of the reasons is there wasn't the biggest bulldog hoss boss that worked on a man's unit that would ever transfer to a female unit, lol.
Don't get me wrong, there are a few people for whom prison seem made for. They somehow know a way to do their time without being "seen" by either the rest of the population or the administration. If you do well with solitary time and are one of those inmates that just does their time without any confrontations, prison time can be relatively easy. (Although they still witness far more than a person should.)
Everyone does time in a different way. Some do relatively well and some are disastrous from the time the gates close.

OMG, the defense team are such liars. How can they appear on camera and say those untruths. LKB said prisoners have a right to privacy. If that is true, why are hte toilets right inside the door where prisoners can be seen doing their "Business." That is true in every jail I have ever observed. If they have the right to privacy, why are they not given privacy to use the toilet? LKB is a big FAT liar. And Jose is even bigger. HOraldo is just a media ho, plain and simsple. I used to respect Kimberly Guilfoyle, but she is clearly uninformed on this case.
Geraldo is saying that they are treating her like a serial killer. No, they have her in protective custody. Had she not asked for medical assistanace and she was left to "rot" in her cell, they might have a claim. The fact they took a prisoner who complained of being ill to a medical waiting room where she could be observed is exactly the correct thing to do.
Now I have to go throw something through my window to get rid of my anger.

Why didn't Jose request to go to an atty-client room rather than interact with her in a videotaped waiting room? No man is that STOOPID. He has proven over and over again that he thinks he and his precious "girl deserve special privileges. When they aren't given to him, he just takes them and then cries "foul."

TRUE. VERY, VERY, VERY big difference there. I would take one of my kids with me to a min. sec. prison if I had to pick up a check or something. I wouldn't let my kids see where I worked max, except the gun towers from the freeway. The Federal Camp doesn't even have a fence around it. It's the honor system if an inmate comes back.
I just started watching some series of shows, I think on MSNBC "Lockup Raw"? Watch those. The ones I saw were VERY accurate although you can't FEEL the CONSTANT tension at all times. The one that I've seen closest to my prison was a Corcoran. The tension is a killer. You don't relax for a second. It's a war.
Where I worked, there is a sign that says, "No hostages will be taken beyond this point." It's on an internal door in the unit. It means, if you take someone from this point on, they will NOT be negotiated for. You may have taken one of ours and though we love them, you will get NOTHING from us to get him/her back.

I thought I remember someone saying that the OC was actually in a public waiting area when all this was recorded. Anyone know the truth of this or under what cirumstances and where she was when this recording was made? I believe she was in the medical waiting room, not in the medical facility proper so there would be no privacy of any records since she hadn't seen anyone yet. There are video cameras all over the jails. Baez acts as if they put this one in just to catch him doing something with "his girl"

I guess LKB doesn't understand the Sunshine Law in Florida at all - if she did, she'd shut up and quickly. I'm willing to chip in for a gag for her. BTW, did anyone else think that Casey's dress code seems to mimic LKB's minus the phoney hair color?
I'm good for $20 for this. Size large, right?

I could listen to you talk about this for hours. I used to watch that Lockup program but had to quit after awhile because I started getting depressed.
Lavinia, what type of prison do you think OC will likely end up in.
I enjoyed the one on the Women's Prison in Chowchilla,CA. A woman I interviewed in jail is in that tape in the drug rehab program. That's something else available in prison. Rehab.

Trust me, it won't be.
I was just thinking that Geraldo is a waste, a HUGE WASTE
If it helps you, he did say he lost $500,000 in his GE stock -- sorry, O/T, but he did say just that!!!

I pulled the quote below from a post on this board from the 27th. If there is any truth to this, it could be THE reason why BOZO is fighting so hard to keep the tape out. If this is true, and the tape comes out, that will shatter this case. What would happen?

to Lizzie and all:
Well I"M back and a little dissapointed. I couldn't take notes, but ill do the best I can. the bounty hunter/bailbondsman info is as follows:
He has an office in St. Cloud. His secretary Dottie is really good friends with Baez's ex secretary.(hence the EX) She told bondsman that I met, that indeed Casey and baez were having sex. (those 8 hr days in his office) Baez secretary quit because of this.
If the case starts to go bad at trial Casey will reveal this. Witnesses will come forward with this info.
Baez is stuck. Casey managed to get him where she wants.
The release of video of Casey when the body of Caylee was located shows Baez with his hand on Caseys backside, his hand looks like it was in her pants in the back, because women have a top & bottom instead of a jumpsuit. When he put his hand on her back thats what hapened.
He does not want this released. Its not Casey hyperventilating that worries him.
He got Casey as a client because attys show up at the jail to try to get clients.
the jail guards inform the inmate; do not to take the first one. Take an atty that you feel will defend you to the best of their ability.
The first atty was an older man and Casey didnt like him.
the second atty was a woman and when she spoke with Casey she was appauled, it came down to morals as she felt Casey was guilty.
The third was Baez and he knew what to say and acted like he cared. Thats who Casey chose, it was HER choice.
He would not tell me who the old couple is that sends the A's money, but did say it was not Melanie Reiger (sp) group.
side note: it is this bondsmans opinion that TonE Lazzaro knew Caylee was dead. I asked him why he thought this; he said they were together 24/7 for that period of time. I disagreed with him on that.
He also told me LP never for a second thought casey would talk when he bonded her out. PUBLICITY only. He knows Lenny personally.
It wouldn't surprise me in the least. Casey has used sex in the past to get guys. Why wouldn't she pursue Jose? He's definitely dumb enough to fall for that. Let's send a gag to LKB and a new zipper for Jose's pants. lolol
P.S. I Think Jose could be disballed for that,,,,errr I mean disbarred.

Last direct question about prison to you (I promise) - do you know anything about that prison and if it will be provide enough of a punishment for her?
It's not a bother Talamoth! I don't know a lot about it. I know there are a lot of inmate complaints about it as it seems to be one of the least modernized facilities. I was going to wait a bit and see where I thought she was going a little more surely and study up on the prison. I'll probably start that this week. I'll keep everyone apprised.

I agree!
Sorry-I'm jumping in here, but have been reading since the beginning of this case, and always find Lavinia's input so interesting.
Also, if possible , I would like to know what the difference between jail, prison, penitentiary(sp?) is,
and which one Casey will most likely go to if she is convicted.
Thanks-

You won't find the truth with the Macho Morons Geraldo and Baez. Does that quack lawyer think the jail cares what he wants or says. He was also angry at the jail for letting As see Casey while he was in NY - he had left instructions for them!!! "He opens her mail" - yea right - if it goes to his office instead of the jail. He lives on another planet also.
ME BIG - ME BIG LIAR. ME BIG ATTORENY 3 Yrs. -" WHERE DID YU GO TO LAW SCHOOL!" me wear big silk jacket - size 48 very long (comes to his knees and looks like he got it at a funeral home scrap pile) you are not a 10 either Jose. Dumb too.
Me really tired of Jose. Me dislike Jerry Rivers, too.
Puh-leeze. Neither one of these "men" could spell macho, let alone act that way.

There is one good thing about this case if it's televised. I will get plenty of nice long naps when Baez speaks. He could put an army to sleep

Reference my bolding LKB must have told Geraldo that Casey was being treated like Ted Bundy.
