First you have a mom who doesn't even have legal custody of Neveah.. yet "she was her everything". So much so, the mom felt her father figure should be a RSO?? You have a dad who doesn't pay child support and hasn't seen Neveah in 3 years, yet he is devastated she is missing.. Come on. This is a perfect example what is wrong with our society:mad:

she was locked up for almost 2yrs for home invasion due to her drug problem and then said they met at the probation dept she did not get out of the slammer until Jan of this year so were is she getting 2yrs from???? that would have been when this child was 3??I think she needs to look at her record and his and get the right info unless they now allow dating in the county jail she was in the slammer 2yrs ago and her mother, brother and cousin all said they met after she got out at her probation dept.:confused:

Yes we were discussing this the other day. Very strange indeed. Maybe to many drugs? Also this mother finds out her daughter is missing and calls this pervert...I would have called 911 first, no???? Now if he took her, he had ample time to hide her or whatever before he went to help her look for this child. Heard she didnt call 911 until 830 or so. :cursing:

I wondered why she would call him first. Maybe he has taken Nevaeh before? Not like this time, but maybe saw her outside and walked off with her somewhere? I think he was "grooming" her. It's possible that he got her used to walking off with him without telling her mom or grandma so that when he actually wanted to take her she wouldn't think twice about going with him or putting up a fuss.

From moment one I have thought LE thinks the answer to Nevaeh's disappearance is right there in the apartment complex. As if they know that it is either someone that was visiting there that day, lives there or works there. I am beginning to feel they think someone she knew lured her into one of the apartments.

The LE in this case remind me of the Cantu case. It was like they knew early on that whomever hurt Sandra was right in that park and they kept repeatedly searching and searching and searching.

A lot of critical things have been written about Jennifer and the men she let into her life but I would like to point out that the citizens of the town of Monroe has been outstanding.

This morning I got a message on MySpace from one of Nevaeh’s extended family members thanking me for my page. I checked out their picture page and got to see a bit about Monroe itself. It seems like a very nice town to live in and the outpouring of community support for Nevaeh proves that the vast majority of people who live there are loving, caring individuals; something we should not forget.

"I don't know where she's at," the Rev. Dale Hayford, one of the leaders in the "find Nevaeh" volunteer efforts, told the crowd on Saturday. "I don't know where to send a team to look."

But as he and another speaker, Ricquel Archer, a friend of the family, said, God knows.

"When he thought of creation, he thought of her. God knows where Nevaeh is at," Ms. Archer said, with her inspirational message and Bible verses punctuated by murmurs from the audience of "Amen!"

The Rev. Hayford said the next volunteer search parties will gather at noon today in the parking lot at Kmart, 1290 N. Monroe St. He urged the volunteers to first worship at their own churches this morning.

3rd Man Named Person Of Interest
Investigators would only say that Easter frequently visits a woman, who may be a family member or his girlfriend, at the Charlotte Arms apartment complex where Nevaeh Buchanan lives. She was last seen Sunday riding her scooter in the parking lot of the complex

James Easter, 64, of Monroe was taken in for questioning Saturday.
Easter is being held on unrelated charges. Police have not said why he has been named a person of interest in the case.


Two other men, George Kennedy and Roy Lee Smith, both convicted sex offenders were also named people of interest in the case.
Sources told Local 4 both men are expected to be cleared and released from jail.

Jennifer Buchanan told Local 4 she never believed Kennedy was innocent.

"I always thought, at the bottom of my heart, I thought he (Kennedy) did not have anything to do with it," she said.

I'm getting flashbacks of the Sandra Cantu case. Remember when they searched almost everyone's house. They had 5 or 6 persons of interest. Boy were we ever shocked to find out who the monster really was. I wonder if that's what will happen in this case. :unsure:

Monroe --The investigative team of a joint task force between the Monroe Police Department and Monroe County Sheriff's Department is searching for two young boys as potential witnesses in the disappearance of 5-year-old Nevaeh Buchanan.

The boys were seen playing in the Hollywood School playground last Sunday before Nevaeh disappeared, authorities said at a press conference Sunday. They are believed to be between 7 and 10 years old, named Ryan and Dillon. Police are continuing to canvass in the vicinity of the Charlotte Arms apartment complex where Nevaeh lived.

Meanwhile, blood on a knife confiscated from the mother's boyfriend, George Kennedy, was not a match for Nevaeh.

A third man, James Easter, 64 of Monroe, was taken in for questioning Saturday. He's being held on unrelated charges. Boxes of evidence were taken from Easter's home to the Michigan State Crime Lab. He's being held on arson charges. In addition to Kennedy, who is a sex offender, Roy Lee Smith, also a sex offender, has been named as a person of interest in the case.

Easter is expected to be arraigned this afternoon, said Major Dan Motylinski of the Monroe Sheriff's Department. Motylinski said Easter's yard was dug up by police on Saturday following a tip.

The girl went missing at about 6:30 p.m. last Sunday from the apartment complex where she lived. Hundreds of volunteers have searched the area, including quarries and woods, looking for clues in the case.

The FBI is assisting local investigators in the search. "

Sunday, investigators also announced that they had found two young boys, ages 7 and 10, who had been playing outside when Nevaeh disappeared. The two are being questioned to find out if they saw anything.

Police have identified a third man as a person of interest: James Easter, 64, of Monroe, who is being held on unrelated charges of unlawful open burning.

Easter was arraigned Sunday afternoon and was remanded to the Monroe County Jail after failing to post a $250 bond.

Police searched the Easter's home Sunday and dug up the back yard of his property after receiving a tip. Boxes of evidence were taken from Easter's home to the Michigan State Crime Lab.

Neighbors said Easter mows lawns and performs odd jobs throughout the area.

"I didn't know what to think when I heard he was in custody," said neighbor Donna Werner, 51. "He's always helped me out and was always kind to me."

boy the playground is very close I wonder how they knew these 2 kids were there that day and if they saw anything I don't know why they would not have told their parents by now...very odd IMO..since she was not even at the park that we know of....:confused:
