Baez phones or texts or emails mummy, and mummy either selects clothing in the proper size from a closet, or goes out and spends a few to get a right-fitting top and slacks for the OC. Should be a snap to accomplish. But nooooooo. Incompetence, insincerity and a lack of care rule the day.

I do find it interesting that she is allowed to wear civilian clothes to court now, when a jury has not been picked yet. I guess since it is televised that the potential jury pool has the opportunity to see her, so maybe that is why it is allowed? In today's court appearance, I think it would have been better for her to be in her prison uniform rather than the outfit she wore.:blushing:

I agree. It's not like me to focus so much on the OC's appearance, but honestly ... if they're making an effort, they need to make a much better one. Either that, or let her come to court in her prison garb, hair pulled back, no makeup, bag of pork rinds. This attempt to dress her for court is backfiring. imo

You would think that a shirt "larger" rather then "Smaller" would have been a better deal. If Cindy was the one who picked these clothes.You would have thought there may have been a couple of shirts to try first... If anything, it only makes Casey Anthony appear even more..BAD!!!

She seems to have substituted the constant hair touching for the hand rubbing. Someone needs to put larger, more flattering clothes on her and get that mop pulled back in a bun so she has no reason to constantly touch it. She looks utterly inappropriate in the too-tight clothes and with the constant preening, smiling and joking. I cannot believe this enormous team of attorneys has not addressed these scratch-the-surface issues with regard to presenting their client in the best possible light. She looks more guilty every time she appears in public, imo.

I noticed that too..when are they going to realize she has not wanted to face them or look at them since she knows that they know she murdered Caylee. Of course they like to still blame not seeing casey on the media, but I think the OC has made it clear she doesnt want to see them. They look pathetic seeking her approval for a glance.

He had that little blurb in court where he said that the prosecution was not going to trying this case like it was an accident. Maybe their defense strategy will be that Casey killed Caylee accidentally? I don't believe that to be true and I hope Casey gets convicted and has to pay dearly for Caylee's murder.

And, if this is the way that JB is going to play it, then it is deplorable, IMO. If it was an accident, then Casey should have been saying that from the get go, instead of wasting everyone's time.

I laughed this morning when the judge pointed out that something was missing from one of his motions and JB said, "I'd like to make that change now." Wouldn't he have to re-write it and re-submit it?

Oh I completely disagree with that. I don't think so at all. Spanish names in the Southern states are as common as "Betty Johnson" or "Peter Olsen" up here in the Midwest. And if someone seated on the jury has a problem keeping an open mind regardless of the invisi-Nanny's first and last name they need to be replaced with an alternate. :smile:

Just imagine how many people graduate from law schools and then take the bar exam. I mean what are the requirement for passing the bar? do you have to get 100% I don't think so. The guy who aces the bar and the guy who just squeaks by both get to hang out their shingle

Another poor performance in court by Baez. Johny Cochran he is not. He doesn't have a way with words, he grasps at words, he double-talks (picked up from his sassy client). He doesn't write court papers well. It's little wonder he had trouble passing the Florida Bar.

Basicly there is no decision yet because the defense filed a last minute supplemental motion that no one had a chance to read, regarding sealing the video of casey watching the coverage of the remains.

The State does not care if it is sealed. However, the Judge is giving the media time to read the motion and object. That hearing is set for sometime this month.

The really interesting thing that happened, is we got to see the new DPQ attorney, Andrea Lyon and she is very good.

I think the defense may be trying to show Casey in a different light. As someone who isn't vain or selfish. One that cares nothing about herself now that she's in misery because her Daughter is dead.

Dear Casey,

Due to my numerous media tours I now have to spend a lot of money on clothes for ME, and every now and then a little something for Dad. Not to mention hair and makeup expenses. I might have been able to help you if you hadn't maxed out all my credit cards. Casey you have no idea how many events we have to attend to support you, and in memory of that little girl. This requires a lot of clothes since the media is constantly taking my picture and I wouldn't want to appear in the same outfit twice. Also I've had to purchase several swim suits to wear on the boat in case the media shows up. You did hear about our boat, right? This isn't easy on me, you have no idea.

Sweetheart since you have a closet stuffed with nice (small) clothes here at the house, why don't you try to drop some of the ugly weight you have put on so you can wear them in court..besides it's rather embarrassing seeing you look like that, oh and you wouldn't believe the horrible pics those parasite media photogs have taken of you in court. Waste, huge waste (oops....no offense.) BTW, have you noticed how slim and trim I am these days, so just do like I do and drink lots of water and chew gum so you can shed those nasty pounds you've added.

And, she don't. Honestly I don't know why they continue to stand behind her. She acts like she could care a less about them. In all her court appearences I have never seen her smile or wave or anything to them. I don't believe that there will be a cat fight between these two attorneys at all. No matter what people think of LKB, she is a professional and knows her expertise with regards to forensics. Ms Lyon is a very smart and talented DP qualified attorney. They each have their areas that they will be addressing during trial. I don't think that Jose Baez is going to have a problem with either one. LKB didn't try to take charge in the Phil Spector trial but as irritating as her voice and manerisms were, she presented a forensics case that caused a hung jury. Do not underestimate this team.

I am not saying they will win but there is much more to come and this is only the tip of the iceberg, no matter how much everyone hates and thinks that Casey Anthony is guilty.

Let me be clear, I think that Casey is responsible. To what degree, no one knows as none of us were there. Look for a long and protracted series of motions and delays. I doubt that this trial will happen anytime before 2011. I have no doubt that some of us may not be alive to see it including myself.

Well, it's not been the best day for me, power steering went out on my 2004 and I almost was hit as I was backing out of a driveway. Then, part of the pully system just dropped right out of engine onto the ground. I mean, I have never seen anything like this before. I got the car home and am safe but having a very bad day.

The trial this morning was a fiasco I agree and LKB didn't change her attire for the spector trial so I say to you all, get used to her "appearance" it's that bad. We discussed it for 6 long months on the PS I trial. At one point she did switch to jackets and skirts but they were all too tight, and no matter what she tried, all her clothes were too tight.

Casey A has some form of mental illness, ocd I'd say. When she sat down, again she had the chance to show me that she isn't whacked in some way. The constant pulling at her clothing, rubbing her hands, straightening her hair, and touching herself, like her mother is really hard to watch. She clearly, is so concerned about her appearance.
I do not know what she is using to pluck her eyebrows. I actually went as far to picture her pulling them out by hand in the mirror above her stainless steel sink. :eek:

Jose B has got to be removed from this case. I've never seen such an unprofessional uneducated laywer in my entire life. JB, get a clue dude.

All this talk about it not being a death penalty case makes me nuts, if Caylee was truly killed by a stranger or a nanny it would be a death penalty case, Baez should be arguing that the wrong person is charged, not that the wrong penalty is being asked for. Whoever killed Caylee and left her the way they did deserves the death penalty. If there had been a Zanny and she committed this crime, bet the entire Anthony family would be on TV, demanding the death penalty.

My interpretation of what they're doing is going after the Pros for trying to manipulate this into a DP case to force a plea. They did this for strategic reasons only which SHE WILL PROVE. They will also have to prove this does not meet the criteria. Pretty tall order there IMO from someone who admittedly states she doesn't have any of the facts of the case.

They've quit defending Casey months ago and are going after every legal technicality they can find. That's their focus.

Actually, I'm really quite mad right now. All those attorneys were prancing around today making the OC feel so special. From what Ms. Lyons said, we might have to wait months and months for a trial.

Sometimes "high paid" can't compete with those who have their hearts and souls in it. I think Caylee's team has their hearts and souls in this and will prevail. They are the people who watched as a search continued for days for tiny little bones, remember? I'll bet they dont forget it for a minute.
