Keeping the hope alive for results from DNA this week.
Of course it won't affect DrewP very fast if this turns out to be Stacy....
LE won't charge him until they KNOW they have a murder case that will stand up in court.
Maybe the/a judge will think twice before lowering his bond if this is indeed his wife though....
IMO if this is body found is Stacy's but Drew remains in jail and is found guilty of K.Savio's murder LE basically will have all the time in the world to prosecute him for Stacy's murder.
So I hope they take their time putting together a solid case.

When Drew went to court the other day did he say anything going in or coming out? because every pic i see of him from that day it just looks like he's looking down at the ground.

I watched it very closely and he did nothing but hang his head in a not surprising manner. Just a look of "What will I do"
I think he knows he has finally been caught up with and he's going down for this crime of murder.
I too believe they will learn he killed his 4th wife Stacy Peterson and it will not be by way of DNA on the remains they discovered last week. I believe the LE knows a lot more to date then what they are saying. Drew Peterson will most likely be Indicted for the murder of Stacy Peterson sometime soon. They have been working hard on this case and Kathleen Savio's Information from a patron in the bar owned by Peterson was approached. I read he was a good friend, or so Peterson thought at the time and he finally came forward.
I do not have a link. I did not know you had to have one. I am now learning the rules and regulations of the threads/board but I will show it's just an opinion.

I'm really curious about "the hitman" Drew allegedly tried to hire to kill Kathleen in late 2003.
And I wonder why he did not go to the cops when she turned up dead and not by him? Why 5 years later?
That could have put Drew in jail a long time ago.
All these people turn up now. People who maybe could have prevented another wife from being a dead wife.

I don't recall there being a time line for when this informer first spoke with the LE. Maybe they came forward soon after Stacy went missing or maybe they came forward when Savio was first found and it's in the records.
IMO someone covered something up from the beginning and if they did how much did they bury.

Do we know if the "hitman" waited five years? What if he did tell the LE way back then but they the grand jury said " drew would never do that" ?

Considering Drew was a cop I figure this person felt there was no way he would be believed and was very intimidated by him...
Considering a friend of Drew's was on the coroner's jury and was able to convince others he could not have killed Savio ....
I think Drew has a past hystory of using his law inforcement status to avoid lots of things.
I hope everyone that always thought he was such a "nice guy" reexamines their own opinions and realizes how wrong they were.
If the remains turn out to be Stacy they ought to really be upset that had they investigated properly Savio's death that Stacy could possibly been still alive.

According to Pastor Schori, even Stacy knew Drew killed Kathleen.
Anna Doman had a suitcase full of documents. Included was a letter KS had written warning that she would be killed.
People knew. Lots of them apparently knew. Now the latest, a hitman.
Bolingbrook, ISP and Will County chose to cover Drew.
Why are people not outraged about this? It is like just another day in Will County, IL.

I agree, there should be outrage. If a women says her husband is going to kill her and sure enough, she dies in some mysterious way. I think it's safe to say, that needs investigating very carefully and by a different department then the one your husband works for, pull someone in from the FBI or somewhere else. . A while back, I felt that Stacy knew Drew had done something to Kathleen, and I think she knew before it was over that he was going to do something to her too. This is probably why her sister reacted so fast. Right?? This gal who is messing w/him now. She better hope that Drew stays behind bars. You wouldn't think he would do anything to her now, as he's in such deep trouble. Yet, you see how freaking arrogant he is, and you have wonder. Would HE?? I'm not sure.. The only problem is, if she doesn't watch it, she just might end up w/another one just like him.

“They got here about three o'clock”
Chemical plant worker Jeff Triplett says he escorted state police and two workers from the Will County Coroner's office through a brush and back into the woods along the bank of the Des Plaines River...
Tera Williams: What did they find...
Jeff Triplett: They found a human leg bone... they said they found it on the side of the river... They had their forensics kit and they all had their laptops and they were bagging it up.
Tera Williams: How did they say they were alerted to this area?
Jeff Triplett: They wouldn't say...it's definitely connected to the body earlier this week...
Tera Williams: State police would not confirm that... but did say they took some items into evidence from the Des Plaines River today. We saw search crews wading along the bank and noticed a flagged area where the crew was paying the most attention...
About a mile downriver from there on Wednesday a clean-up crew found skeletal remains. An autopsy done Thursday did not confirm the person's race or gender and it could take weeks for the results of a DNA analysis.

"Smirky little face"--that is one dead-on description of DP! Every time I see him, there's that infuriating smirk on his face...and my hand absolutely itching to slap that smirk halfway into the middle of next month!!!
And one thing I do not and never will understand: what is it with these "prison groupies" who fall in love with every accused killer they see and send them love letters, marriage proposals, etc???
Happened with the Menendez brothers, the *shudder* Night Stalker Ramirez, Scott Peterson, tons of others, and now with Casey Anthony and I betcha Drew Peterson (not to mention his poor deluded girlfriend).
If somebody could explain the allure of stone-cold killers to me I would be eternally grateful!!!:mad:

I don't think they leaked the leg bone either that was from an outside source. Maybe the person who found the bone.
This story is not complete and they are keeping it quiet for some reason. But the two bones were reported on NG last night and also in one of the local papers.

I don't entirely disagree w/you. The radio stations/tv stations who give air time to an immate in jail for murder are sick. So no argument there. However, I do feel the jail has a responsibility to control prisoners better than this. I don't think folks should be supporting prisioners to have 3 meals a day, and free housing so they can get on the phone and make jokes about being there. Only short calls to loved ones or a lawyer. That's all I think they deserve. Not that i'm making the rules but that's my opinion.

I want to clarify something from this post, however.
It's true that I can't wait for some hairy armed cop-hater to get some time alone with Drew, BUT.... I do not want to see anyone kill him.
Because I want him to spend every last dreary, worthless minute of his remaining life sitting in a concrete and metal tiny home, thinking moment by moment which nothing-to-lose-cop-hater is gonna stroll by his cell each miserable day of his life, giving him the eye, harrassing him, until he pees his little orange jump suit.
Don't hold back - tell us how you really feel! Its not good for you to stifle yourself LOL!

It may be a good thing they aired this creep sharing his jail house jokes.
It shows the public just how arrogant Drew Peterson is. In addition, he looks as guilty as he is. He can tell people he reacts this way when he is under a lot of stress but I for one don't buy it. He has no conscience or accountability for these murders he committed.
He needs to put on a show to have people think maybe he is innocent of these charges or he thinks he has covered his tracks so good that they won't be able to convict him for these murders.

I would have thought that it would take more than skeletal remains in panties to determine the remains were those of a woman. I don't know any male who wears ladies underwear, but understand some do. I wear mens boxers to bed from time to time (my autographed pink sherriff Joe (Arpio) boxers are faves), and I'm certainly not a man. Makes no sense at all.

I never heard that it was "ladies" underwear. The underwear was prob in shreds so it wouldn't be easy to determine what kind of underwear. I was suspicious of it being a male when they said there was small amount of money in the pockets. Men carry change and even some bills in there pants pockets. Most women do not usually do so. IMO

I rarely wear slacks during the hot months here in the H*ll that is Arizona, but when I do my laundry and find money.....I feel like I've won the lottery. Found a five dollar bill just last night. From a skirt pocket. So....to me the money found didn't make me go huh. IMO.

I heard it was women's underwear but not from LE just on the news so did not even pay any attention to it until I heard if from LE and I also though money in the pocket more than likely a male I know I have stuck money in my jeans before but not often..

At least there is a family who will have less stress when the person is identified.

Brad Olsen's disappearance has been publicized quite a bit around my area (Kane Co. IL). Recently a huge wooden sign at the Kane/DeKalb county line was reported stolen or missing. The sign asked for info on Brad Olsen. He has been missing since Jan. 07. He was wearing jeans when last seen in a DeKalb IL bar. He was trying to get a ride home to Maple Park (just a few miles away). I imagine his family is on pins and needles -- hoping it is him and also hoping it is not him.

None of the 3.
Brad and John are 5'8" and Scott is taller.
This one might be hard to identify unless the DNA is on file.

Can't they compare DNA to parents or siblings? I understand the DNA from bones is harder to identify though. At least, I think that is so.

Hey everyone just checking in for new "news" on the remians found. I see that they still dont know anything yet. I am praying that SOMEONE's family will gett he closure they need.
So I have heard conflicting reports on the "blue barrel" being found close to the remains. I saw a pic on fox news of what looked like a blue barrel near the site, but if anyone can confirm that would be great.
IF IT WAS CLOSE to the remains, it really puts Drew's stepbrothers testimony into prospective. I wonder if his (grown) children are still going to play for 'team drew" if this does prove to be Stacey's remains & it does prove that the "blue barrel" was found close to the body.... or I wonder if they are still going to deny that he could do something like this.
The body found is a male.

Very sad for both families. Was hoping one family could receive some closure. Not sure about Lisa, but really doubt Stacy will ever be found. Happy Drew is incarcerated, but wish the kids were not with Drews son. Sadly, the older boys seem to not care much for Kathleens family. Maybe Anthony and little Laci would be fine with Pam, and hopefully Cassandra. Who knows? Just thinking out loud.
Night yall.

"We've had some high-profile inmates over the years, but I've never had it like this where they're trying to be a comedian on a radio show," said sheriff's spokesman Pat Barry. "It is a problem. This guy makes jokes, says things that aren't true."

Hung jury in mock trial of Drew Peterson trial
May 29, 2009
By JOE HOSEY jhosey@scn1.com
CHICAGO — Drew Peterson might want to give Joseph R. Lopez a call.
Lopez, a high-profile attorney, managed to hang a jury in his defense of Peterson at a Thursday night mock murder trial at Chicago-Kent College of Law. WGN Radio sponsored the event and will broadcast it June 14 and 21.
The jury only had a half hour to come up with a unanimous verdict and failed to do so. When asked how they voted, the panel revealed it split 6-6.
The attorneys involved in the mock trial based their cases on information reported through the press, as they do not have access to the state's evidence.
Peterson was unavailable for the mock trial. To get up to Chicago, he would have needed to come up with $20 million bail to get out of the Will County jail, where he is awaiting a real trial for the murder of his third wife, Kathleen Savio, who was found drowned in a dry bathtub in March 2004.
Mock prosecutor Karen Conti, an attorney and co-host of WGN Radio's "Legally Speaking," pointed out the questionable death scene that state police found completely unsuspicious until Peterson's next wife, Stacy Peterson, vanished in October 2007.
"None of this makes sense," Conti said. "People don't die this way."
Peterson and Savio were in the midst of a contentious divorce when she turned up dead. She was only weeks away from taking a substantial amount of his assets in divorce court.
"Murders don't make sense," Conti said. "Don't try to make sense of this one."
Lopez, who apparently is nicknamed "the Shark" and is famous for representing alleged mob hit men and drug cartels, argued the murder makes no sense because it is not a murder at all.
"It's obvious that she slipped and fell in the tub," Lopez said.

30 minutes to try a case through the media. Well, that tells us something. The media has him split themselves. A lot of folks think the media has him guilty and off for life. Not so.
This mock trial was a joke in my most humble opinion. 6-6 with no state evidence to show for it.
Peterson thinks he's burnt toast himself. (after yesterdays hoopla on radio) His jokes about conjugal (sp)? visits. Hmmm, there's always a little truth in a joke It's been said.
JMO
"Win a conjugal visit with Drew." Yuck the thought of it makes me :barf:

I'll bet Brodsky was taking notes while he observed that "trial"...
Amazing that the facts/evidence they used are what has been in print and broadcast on TV and radio and it came up hung... I suppose that sort of tells you that a COV wouldn't be necessary, huh?

I think Drew's lawyer should stop saying his humor is his way of handling stress. He reminds me of Casey Anthony - if you ask anyone how they behaved before all this stress - I am betting they are showing exactly who they are.
