Good Morning everyone. I didn't see a new thread started yet, so I decided to do it.

Hope everyone enjoyed the nice long weekend (in the US).

I checked in just a few times and did catch Cindy in her dragracing. What fun she has.

Really - thanks for the update on the memorial site. It was time.

If both they AND the Anthonys stay out of the public eye - no media - easy peasy.

I think, since it's slow, we should all send mail to Casey and tell her how much we enjoyed watching her mother drag racing.

(We could add, and - by the way - she makes a mean pot of chili.)

A big event was held in Daytona Beach Monday to remember and hopefully dig up clues about several high profile missing children. Even George and Cindy Anthony showed up as their daughter sits in jail charged with the murder of their granddaughter Caylee.

Hi MorningGlory - the first paragraph of the article explains it:

A big event was held in Daytona Beach Monday to remember and hopefully dig up clues about several high profile missing children. Even George and Cindy Anthony showed up as their daughter sits in jail charged with the murder of their granddaughter Caylee.

Speedpark Motorsports in Daytona Beach along with the group Take 25 held a free event for parents to encourage them to talk to their children about child safety. Dozens of families came out to bring recognition to the thousands of kids who are missing.

That's what I was thinking from his initial statement in the beginning of all this.

We have the pics from Fusian- no apparent concern for Caylee.

The surveillance video from Blockbuster with Tone- not looking for Caylee.

And then the statments that KC was also partying at the DragonRoom during this time- KC leaves becaue she doesn't want to face her brother.

Not sure about the poker outfit party pics- those could or could not have been during the 31 days.....

Just making sure in my own mind ; that CA saying "it was only one night" is another lie on the reel. TY

I would love to see a interview with just George. I have long believed he is the weak link and Cindy controls is every word. But if you watch him closely like on Larry King he seems to want to say more. I think if a good interviewer got him alone they may just get him to crack. I think deep inside he wants to tell the truth. His appears is getting worse so you know the stress is getting worse as Cindy's appearance has improved she no longer looks stressed and seems to be basking in the spotlight. I think given a choice George would go quietly into the night. I can't wait to see George on the witness stand I think he'll sing like a bird under the stress.

Amy said it was July 3 in her interview on page 22 http://flawebhosting.net/docs092308/ah092308.pdf

July 3 is the same day Casey got her new tattoo, Cindy made the myspace post and went to Universal to pick up Caylee.

g and c just cannot keep from getting their faces in front of the cameras---one way or another, whatever it takes---whatever lame, ignorant, excuse they can use to stay in the limelight. But oh, doggone it, they hate the media. yeah, right. They just happen to run intothe cameras. But the more we see of them, the more we know of them. They just keep showing us more of themselves than they ever imagined. So, stay in front of the cameras--we're watching you. And by the way, Cindy, don't forget to bring your 'bird' along. How extremely classy.
If there was ever any good to come out of this sick, sad, pathetic case it would have to be that Caylee was saved from being another generation of lying, cheating, and stealing . She would have had the best teachers money could buy. I hope the molds were broken after c and g were made. we can't handle very many more of them.

Well, if the defense team is trying to stay out of the media spotlight to help w/their COV motion, then it is too little too late. They have been in the media spotlight since day 1 (or should I say day 31) so they can't unring that bell. The cat has been out of the bag for almost the past year or so, so if they think by staying out of the media spotlight now, these last few weeks, is going to help them, then are are surely going to be very disappointed. I am sure once the motion for a COV is heard and if it is granted, especially if it is granted, the defense team will be up to their usual tricks and they will start appearing on The Today Show on a daily basis and JB will resume his impromptu press conferences.

I think that is a major problem. What qualified attorney would want to join the Jose band wagon? Jose has screwed up this case so much a decent attorney would not want to muck up his reputation especially this late in the case. IMO Jose does not have enough financing to pay for another attorney along with all of his experts. I feel if he did have an attorney on board he would have held a presser already. He is not going to like being second chair and I can't imagine a DPQ attorney taking a back seat to Jose, who still has those pesky bar charges to deal with. I think there is trouble brewing. jmo

Just HOW is a drag racing event going to help "dig up clues"?

It's not. It was just another photo-op opportunity for George and Cindy. It keeps them in the public eye. The same public eye that they claim they don't want. Remember, they just want everyone to leave them alone so that they can grieve in private.

LOVE TO HEAR IF ANYONE ELSE FEELS THE SAME.

I used to feel the same way that you do, but I think George has finally gotten w/the program, Cindy's program. In the beginning he tried to go behind her back to tell the truth (i.e. his interview w/the FBI where he told them that his wife didn't know he was there, possibly at the GJ), but since then, and especially since his suicide attempt, he has been towing the company line. Literally and figuratively, and in more ways than one.:sneaky:

In some ways it is ironic, because Cindy sort of needs George right now, probably for the first time in her life. At least some people have a tiny bit of compassion for George. She probably thinks if she keeps him close some of that compassion will rub off on her. Case in point, Cindy had to come up w/a suicide attempt of her own when she saw how much compassion George got from the public for his. Too bad for Cindy that it didn't work for her. I don't think she realizes that part of the reason that people have compassion for George is that he is controlled by her.

Seattle weather - 58 Deg F (or 14.4 celsius for our friends up North in Canada). Partly cloudy hazy skies. Wind out of the SE at 5 to 10 knots. Hopefully will hit the 70 deg mark today.

Interesting to watch those extended interviews with Casey, where she has been saying they've wanted to help and answer questions from the beginning, as long as council is present. She invokes her right to council, has a 5 minute huddle with Baez, and then Baez announces she just wants to get to her jailcell and get booked - (ie., no questions tonight please).

I hope the jury sees that, and they dwell on the part where Casey says they are wanting to help (a lie), and once the door is opened by the FBI interviewers, she no longer wants to help, or answer any questions.

I thought alot about this over the past few days. I believe (and there really isn't any evidence suggesting it) that Casey was getting ready to change her identity. She was going to head to LA LA land (also known as California) and get lost in the crowds out there, and hook up with Mark Hawkins, and possibly become a marine wife.

Remember she stole that money because she needed it for a backup plan, like a one way airline ticket to California.

Of all the attributes that CA has claimed to have of late, the one that grates on my nerves is her claim of renewed faith. I tend to agree, I think George will come thru for Caylee on the stand. I think Lee will also. He has kept a very low profile since the depo. His comment in the depo about believing everything his sister has told him was obviously untrue, considering the number of times he has been quoted/recorded as saying Casey was a habitual and practiced liar. Annie Downing testified that Lee gave her a heads up about being called in by police and told her point blank " tell the truth, don't worry about protecting Casey"

We won't know till trial but I want to believe that at least someone in the family will do the right thing by Caylee. They have to realize they are not throwing Casey under the bus by telling the truth. She put herself in front of that bus by her actions. IF CMA meant anything to anyone in that family the time to show it is when they are called to testify.l

I hope you're right Ish. But I think that if anyone in that family comes through for Caylee, it will be because they are forced to, not because they want to. If they wanted to and they knew anything, there wouldn't even be a trial.

The problem with Cindys suicide attempt was you could tell she was lieing from the get go. 1. she left suicide notes when she was saying Caylee was missing and would be found, 2. that Casey talked her out of it, 3. her faith kept her from following through. Just like everything she says, it was so clear she was lieing.

George nearly got whiplash when she revealed her "suicide note writing"
episode. But I'm sure she explained to him later that she kept it from him to "protect" him. That crazy family going to all lengths to "protect" each other.

Mark Hawkins...hmmm, have we seen any information re: Mark Hawkins other than what was included in the lst document dump? page 186 http://www.docstoc.com/docs/3868229/guide-to-casey-anthony-documents-orlando-sentinel

On July 17, 2008, I received a phone call from Mr. Mark Hawkins; he advised he knows Ms. Anthony. Mr. Hawkins is an active duty Marine stationed in 29 Palms, California. Ms. Anthony and Mr. Hawkins were communicating on almost a daily basis via telephone and internet. Approximately a week ago from July 17, 2008, Ms. Anthony told Mr. Hawkins that she was planning a trip to California and she needed to tell him something. Ms. Anthony said she told her mother and brother, and she did not know how he would react about what she had to tell him. Mr. Hawkins heard that Caylee's father was deceased, and he was a Security Guard at Universal Studios.

Many speculated when LE took the trip to CA it was not to talk to Lenny the Bounty Hunter, but to see Mr. Hawkins. I sure would like to know what he had to say and what the big secret was Casey felt the need to share with Mr. Hawkins that she had already told her mother and brother. I am sure it was a lie, but I still would like to know.

the reason for the trial is Casey is pleading not guilty, but you're right if in fact anyone of the Anthony's knows more than they have said to date and given that info to LE, perhaps that would have forced Baez to consider a plea. But my take on Casey is that it would have made no difference, as George said, she pushes things as far as she can and then even further. That statement alone tells me that Casey's behavior was not something "new". The lying was a constant. The lies just got bigger as time went on.

Yeah... My rationale for her heading to California -

1. she stole money, and wasn't found out yet (at least for the missing checks 142-146)

2. stole money for a backup plan (an airline ticket or a bus ticket to Southern Cal)

3. With smoke and mirrors, she was going to keep her mom from seeing Caylee, possibly forever. (I'll fix her - but good).

People lie. People die. - she was forecasting her future when she wrote that.

Does anyone think that perhaps the reason Cindy looks so well these days is because for the first time in 23 years, she doesn't have to compete with Casey - and then Caylee - for George's attention?

I believe she loved Caylee, but I also believe that George loved Caylee even more. And the way George always called Casey "gorgeous" and "beautiful" made me think there was a special bond there that Cindy couldn't compete with.

I believe she loves Casey, but it strikes me as a love-hate sort of relationship. There certainly was plenty of animosity there.

No matter who interviews Cindy Anthony, there will be sparks.. When confronted with valid evidence, if Cindy doesn't like it, she's going to blow it off, because Cindy has an explanation for everything.. She even knows why Casey killed Caylee. I'm sorry, Ruth, maybe your children can show many faces, however, unless George was using make-up to fake the dark circles under his eyes and putty to put the wrinkles in his face, then it was real.

Listening to part 1 of NG from this weekend.

Casey being talked to by LE after chasing down Baez for her arrest, she thinks she is talking to her friends. Her demeanor is so jovial, does this girl take anything serious? She is being arrested for the murder of her daughter and she is giggling because Baez was running from the cops! Wow is all I can say. I have heard these tapes many times and my reaction is still disbelief.

Exactly, her behavior is deplorable IMO. She is about to be charged w/1st degree murder, the 1st degree murder of her own daughter that has been missing for months now, and she is chatting up LE like she is out for coffee w/them and like she doesn't have a care in the world. It is astounding isn't it Ruth?

I have not seen too many arrest interviews but its not what I would have expected to see, its more like a job interview.

She sure downplays the amount of evidence against her, even though they correct her and say they DO have evidence. She just continues on with the sightings, and CLEARLY the defense was going to go with Caylee being OUT there somewhere alive, well..until her little body was found around the corner from her house, wrapped in garbage bags.

Sucker had to change her defense strategy then huh. :sneaky:

Anybody feel free to hammer me here, this has probably been answered. Why can't they just get the receipt from the credit card company, then get the info from JC Penny?

I would love to see a interview with just George. I have long believed he is the weak link and Cindy controls is every word. But if you watch him closely like on Larry King he seems to want to say more. I think if a good interviewer got him alone they may just get him to crack. I think deep inside he wants to tell the truth. His appears is getting worse so you know the stress is getting worse as Cindy's appearance has improved she no longer looks stressed and seems to be basking in the spotlight. I think given a choice George would go quietly into the night. I can't wait to see George on the witness stand I think he'll sing like a bird under the stress.

LOVE TO HEAR IF ANYONE ELSE FEELS THE SAME.

You'll note that when George and Cindy are interviewed, she always has a firm grasp on his hand. That way, she can give him a good squeeze when he needs to shut up. Like a well-trained seal. :glare:

George, being emotional himself, caught her in an emotional moment where she allowed herself to think and to realize EXACTLY where Caylee was laying, which is in garbage bags in the woods.

To me, her tears are real, and she doesn't apppear to be acting.

Sorrow for killing her child. perhaps.

It would be interesting to see Casey's reaction to the remains being found video compared to her reaction in this video clip. jmo

It's a jail visit by George and he starts telling Casey that he goes out everynight and looks up at the moon to tell Caylee goodnight and how much he and everyone else loves her, misses her, and wants to come home. I think Casey was crying real tears on this one.

Thanks, I wish I could see it.

Welcome to the group Bala. I agree with you. He is ready to blow. He looks so torn. However, there is no way is he11 that Cindy will let him near the press without her. My guess is that George is being closely watched so he does not step out of line and stray from the script. imo

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see his grand jury testimony. But, George had already blown it for Cindy when he 1) acknowledged the car smelled like death because he had smelled it before as LE; 2) said that the dead person he smelled in the trunk was not his granddaughter; 3) when he talked about his daughter forging a deposit slip for $4,500 and stealing money from her 2 year old's piggy bank and wife's purse.

Snipped from Casey's apparent new myspace page -

This page is for supporters of Casey Anthony. I believe she was portrayed as a killer before anyone ever knew Caylee was in toruble. Casey never got a fair chance at defending herself. And even now, she isn't getting that because the media is making her out to be a horrible person. No negative comments will be tolerated on this page. Casey deserves a chance at a fair trial and the media isn't allowing that. Please, take a moment and leave some encouraging comments for Casey...I will print them and mail them to her to help lift her spirits during this difficult time in her life. Casey's family will be reading this page so please, keep it positive...they don't need any negativity from us during this nightmare they are going through! Thanks!

Well a good start to defending yourself would be sitting down with LE and say, I didn't do it, hook me up to a polygraph. I have nothing to hide.

But she does have something to hide. And the entire world is on to her. You must be crazy to think that this makes sense. This family is on a diet of stupid pills. HELLO? HELLO!!?? Can't you see what's going on Cindy? The presses interpretation is based only what they see in in your silly-azz interviews, your lies, and the fact that your daughter only cares about herself. And silly, stupid you, you just believed it all. Can't you see? Are you blind? You are WACKED, madam.

Exactly, Casey told Cindy that Zanny gave her the curling iron so it is proof positive to her that Zanny does in fact exist. Just like if there is a Zanny's dog, then there must be a Zanny. My bet is that Casey either shoplifted the curling iron, or else she stole it from one of her friends. Probably Amy. She already stole a lot of money from her, why not a curling iron?

Remember though, it was Casey who had to "remind" Cindy that Zanny gave her the curling iron (or was it a straightner or are there two things) although it appears that Casey has naturally very straight hair.

Oh yeah, the lemming made all those statements. Gee guys, I'm here to help, and you know, something just ain't right with that car. When I was doing my Barney Fife routine up in Trumbull, I smelled that "smell" before. I knew what it is. You never forget that smell.

Personally, I hope that smell never leaves them.

Am I angry at the Anthony's? YES. I have no tact when it comes to dealing with stupidity. And they are STUPID PEOPLE. They are way beyond weird. Today, in my eyes, they are weird PLUS. Weird Plus.

Hiya Des :seeya:

4. Her circle of friends were on to her habitual lying and story telling, but they blew it off - but she knew TL was distancing himself from her.

5. Caylee was with the Angels. She didn't have that "anchor" anymore.

I think #4 is right on the money, so to speak. Her "misborrowing" of Amy's $$ was going to hit the fan. Amy wouldn't buy the "maybe you were sleepwalking and spent it" line twice. Oce that hit the fan her whole friendcircle would implode and she knew it. She'd dug herself a big ole hole and Casey's world was about to go "boom". Time to get the beep out of dodge.

Casey's ex-pal Annie -

According to Downing, she spent hours talking to Casey while she was out of jail.

"She did say whoever had her child they were telling her to say everything that she said," Downing stated.

Part I - The Call

Yeah, Casey, uh we got Caylee right here. When someone finally catches on to your bs, you tell 'em this - or Caylee will suffer, and so will your family:

First of all, tell them you work at Universal Studios okay? Tell them your phone number, and that you have a corner office. Whatever you do, don't tell them you don't have a college degree and just didn't have enough credits to graduate over there at Colonial High School. Lie, Casey. Lie.

Now, when they ask you, "Can you take us to that office" you say, "sure, and oh by the way, Tom Manley is my supervisor." If you get to the door of your office, then finally admit you've been lying, but only because WE ARE telling you what to say.......... Don't screw it up Casey.

And Here's something really important Casey, listen up:

As far as dropping Caylee off to the fake Nanny, give them a big window of time, like four hours.. Like between 9am and 1pm. Okay? Good.
31days? Big deal, tell them that you just talked to your daughter yesterday on the 15th of July, and she's just fine. Tell them we've been taking Casey to the beach, to Universal, to Busch Gardens. She's having a blast.

And whatever you do, if they ask more about those 31 days, you tell them "I've been actively searching every day for my daughter". I have lied, cheated, and stolen from my friends and to do whatever it takes to find her."

Okay? Got it?
