I had a wild thought this morning:

Does anyone think that perhaps the reason Cindy looks so well these days is because for the first time in 23 years, she doesn't have to compete with Casey - and then Caylee - for George's attention?

I believe she loved Caylee, but I also believe that George loved Caylee even more. And the way George always called Casey "gorgeous" and "beautiful" made me think there was a special bond there that Cindy couldn't compete with.

I believe she loves Casey, but it strikes me as a love-hate sort of relationship. There certainly was plenty of animosity there.

But now Cindy doesn't have to share George with anyone.

As always, my own opinion.


I don't think George was that enamored of Casey, I think the "gorgeous and beautiful" comments were a bit of brown nosing to attempt to get and stay in her good graces. He was playing good cop while Cindy (bad cop) was pressuring Casey for answers.

I think Cindy looks better because the pressure of dealing with Casey and her "drama" and the strain it put on her and George's lives is over. I think to an extent the death of their grand daughter is less of a strain ( i"m not talking about the trial part) than the day to day lies, stealing and arguing they dealt with in regard to Casey.

I do think of the family George truly misses Caylee the most, probably cause she loved him unconditionally.

Unfortunately, Cindy and Casey are still locked in a battle over Caylee, for now Cindy has the upper hand as she controlled the funeral and has the ability to put herself out there as spokesperson for Caylee. Casey has to sit and stew over that.

I think #4 is right on the money, so to speak. Her "misborrowing" of Amy's $$ was going to hit the fan. Amy wouldn't buy the "maybe you were sleepwalking and spent it" line twice. Oce that hit the fan her whole friendcircle would implode and she knew it. She'd dug herself a big ole hole and Casey's world was about to go "boom". Time to get the beep out of dodge.


I think Casey had already moved on from Amy and friends to Tone and friends. I don't think she really cared what Amy thought. Casey has a history of ripping people off and no had pressed charges yet. Casey was probably banking on her parents bailing her out. I mean after all, she is the mother of the year of their granddaughter, she couldn't go to jail. jmo

Yes her hair does seem to grow fast. Didn't she tell Cindy in a jail visit she had not had her hair cut for over a year? When Cindy was asking about the hairdresser who said Caylee had a bruise? Another lie because her hair had been cut. IMO

Don't mention "buyer's remorse" to me, I'm closing on a house tomorrow afternoon!! George's appearance has been steadily going downhill and that cannot be faked. Meanwhile Cindy is looking quite healthy these days with that evil look on her face. Maybe she's just drinking more water than George! :shrug:

George's appearance -- it might be going downhill, but realistically, he's a 58 (or 56 depending on the story) year old man who's been baking in the sun for twenty years and he's not going to look great. He's going to look exactly like he looks and worse, if he's been drinking or not sleeping or taking pills and drinking. Who knows, but he's no young guy so he's not going to look great. Or healthy. That's a lot of years of a lot of sun, and it does wind up showing on your face as wrinkles and worse.

Cindy's younger. The age difference shows. Plus she hasn't cooked in the sun like her husband has, judging by skin color. Plus too, she's comfortable in this role she's created for herself, and comfortable with deceit. She's being true to her real self, and like anyone who's comfortable in their skin, she looks pretty good. Except when she OD's on the meds, then she looks like hell.

As far as George again: while he might not be comfortable with lying like a rug in the spotlight, he continues to lie like a rug, and I hope that's a part of what shows on his face.

I can't stand George.
And I don't know him.
I can't stand his type, a big blow hard with a mommy complex, and totally comfortable with being completely unproductive.
And vain.

If I had to spend a half an hour with one or the other, I'd go for Cindy, because with her, I know she wouldn't cry. She might take me out, but she won't blubber when I tell her what I think of her.

George, on the other hand, would. Cry. And do that mouth thing.

I just wonder if it was her defense team that did her a huge injustice by downplaying the amount of evidence that there was against her before Caylee's body was found. It does seem like she has a false sense of security when she is being arrested for 1st degree murder and totally thinks that she is getting out of this. I think the false sense of security also probably came from the fact that there wasn't yet a body. I wonder if Casey realizes that her behavior and her not calling 911 when Caylee first went missing can actually be used against her as evidence at trial? I just wonder if her definition of evidence only pertains to things that could potentially tie her to Caylee's body? She's going to be in for a rude awakening once the trial gets here.


I think Baez's problem is that Casey is sticking with the "i'm innocent" story. She doesn't care how much evidence there is, she is playing him the way she has played George and Cindy all these years. LIE, LIE , LIE and LIE some more. She figures it worked when she filched a 20 from mom's purse so this should be a breeze.

I don't know that she is or isn't. I am not intimately familiar with her background. I know she has the requisite number of years in practice. But as to whether she has tried any death penalty cases in any state, I don't know. JMO

I know, I know. none of my business.Now, my second question....people keep asking when they are going to have a funeral for Caylee.....well, what was that performance with the touching wrist kissing, the consoling back patting, the sad looks with the 'Look how strong I am for Lee, etc, etc.? I guess I thought that was the funeral. Or were they all trying out for some part in some cheap movie? Now, as I said I've missed some of the comments but I'm trying to catch up. Will try and do better.

I think the Memorial Performance was the funeral. Only thing missing was Cindy breaking out in a tap dance. Odd sort of funeral, eh?

For the first portion of the grievance process everything is confidential. Assuming that things work in a similar fashion as here in NJ, once the case is referred to the Supreme Court all is made public (assuming the recommendation is not private censure). The findings of the Supreme Court are made public. Most bar associations keep records of the filings and if a member of the public mades inquiry they made be told the number of complaints that were made and if they were found to have merit, they may also re-publish the findings of the Supreme Court.

It is a delicate balance between confidentiality and making the proceedings as public as possible.

As I was out working today, I met a bounty hunter that knows ALL about Casey's case, including Lenny. He gave me a world of info.
Biaz is in big trouble, thats why he's quiet.
There really is a family in CT. that donates to Caey and C&G. They have given over a 1/2 million dollars so far!!! They bailed out casey the second time, they helped pay for Casey defense. They send C & G 5 grand a month!!! WTH!!!

I hope this sounds right. I wish the stuffed animals were given to homeless children or sick children. They are just getting ruined there by the weather. My guess is that Caylee is a typical 2 and a half year old and confused the names "Zanny" for "Annie" and that if Caylee ever spoke about a Zanny, she thought she was talking about Annie and her dog.

How creepy it would be if they didn't, and just left the rotting vegetation as a visible reminder of what was going on with the buried human remains! I don't know whether they make an effort to do it under cover of darkness - I have never actually seen any cemetery employees removing floral arrangements although I have seen them mowing, edging, weeding, running the sprinkler systems and doing other maintenance activities.

For a long time, large cemeteries have notices that arrangements are to be picked up by such and such a date. Anything (except statuary) left will be removed by the cemetery staff. In recent years, even small local cemeteries are doing the same. As a youngster, my siblings and I worked @ the (small local) cemetery with our Daddy. Live floral arrangements were removed as they became dry, tattered, etc. Plastic arrangements were removed when they became tattered, discolored etc. I don't remember teddy bears and the like, usually when folks left that kind of thing, they returned in a week or so, maybe earlier to remove that type of item themselves.

I can understand the memorial being removed from in front of their house because it is not their land. This is an easement belonging to the city. They could get fines for not maintaining that land. As far as where Caylee was found I believe that belongs to someone else. People have to think of what their going to do. As I was out working today, I met a bounty hunter that knows ALL about Casey's case, including Lenny. He gave me a world of info.
Biaz is in big trouble, thats why he's quiet.
There really is a family in CT. that donates to Caey and C&G. They have given over a 1/2 million dollars so far!!! They bailed out casey the second time, they helped pay for Casey defense. They send C & G 5 grand a month!!! WTH!!!

I so agree with you on this. I've been contemplating this theory for a while now. I'm beginning to believe that G&C had never heard of a nanny (Zanny or otherwise) until all you know what hit the fan in July. I recall Cindy had been complaining to her co-workers about all the time she had to spend babysitting Caylee and thought it was Casey's responsibility to watch her. And I think George slipped up in his civil depo when he stated that he and Cindy had watched Caylee 99% of the time (or similar percentage). I do think Casey had mentioned a nanny to her friends, pretending that she had a nanny while all along it was her parents who were babysitting Caylee. She wanted them to think she was successful enough to be able to hire a nanny. I think G&C knew Casey did not work and knew she did not have a need for a babysitter since they knew they were the "babysitter" when needed. That's why they never inquired about one or wanted any details about one. It was only after they knew Caylee was dead that they all came up with the "nanny" story, and they have all run with it ever since - with a few adjustments when necessary.

Well, I think it is highly likely that once Casey is convicted of murdering Caylee, then their foundation will go kaput. Their only hope would be to change the mission statement of their foundation to children that are murdered by their mothers/parents, but I don't see that happening because The Anthony's don't want to be known as the parents of a murderer (of their own child no less). Maybe once Casey is convicted they will remove themselves from public life, change their identities, and then we will never hear from them again? One can at least hope.

A man laid the first new teddy bear since the massive make-shift memorial was moved, Monday night near Suburban Drive and Hope Spring Drive.

A couple from Delaware also showed up wanting to pay their respects to Caylee.

"We were very upset about it because we all have grandchildren that age and you know it's a sad situation," said Antoinette Greene, Delaware resident.

In December, people protested after the Anthonys removed some of the stuffed animals and toys from the memorial (see images) and donated them to needy children for Christmas.

It is unknown who removed the memorial Monday night. (I wish we had a microchip on Lee.) Just saying.....

We have seen Baez lie before. IMO his most spectacular falsehood so far was the fraudulent affidavit which was supposedly signed by Baez' prior quasi-spokesman Todd Black of Press Corps Media, but then "Todd Black" turned out to be a "security name" that several people used including convicted felon Gil Cabot. Of course, which falsehood is the most spectacular is a matter of opinion as there have been several spectacular falsehoods coming from Baez. Other examples include falsehoods concerning his background, experience and prior cases he handled and then it turned out that he merely worked on as a law clerk for other attorneys who were actually handling the cases, and so forth. Last fall, there was Baez' motion to compel release of the prosecution's discovery and it turned out that he had simply not paid the bill for the copying costs as he was required to do. And of course Baez is a stranger to the truth with regard to the actual facts and evidence in the Casey Anthony case.

Baez particularly seems to make a lot of bogus statements to the press because Baez knows that those statements are not under oath and are not official statements so he cannot constitute be prosecuted for perjury or making false official statements.

Well, he and Casey could have a contest as to who swaggers the most! He made me sick swaggering into court everyday during SP's trial. He and Casey alike think they are so great -- and so great to look at --- OMG:thumbdown:
