When does the Florida Bar act on Judge Strickland's complaint against Baez? Anyone know?

From what I understand the first review is by the staff of the bar association. If the complaint is found to have some merit it goes to the grievance committee. This is made up of volunteers, so probably does not meet frequently but only as necessary and with some notice to the members. (Here in NJ they meet about once a month.) The attorney in question is given an opportunity to respond to the complaint. (Here about 30 days and they can ask for an extension). I understand that the complaints have been referred to the grievance committee.

I don't know the next step but if its similar to NJ..... The grievance committee (here the ethics committee) holds a private hearing. They then make a recommendation to the Supreme Court with a recommendation anywhere from a private censure to disbarment. The Supreme Court then holds a public hearing where the evidence is presented and the committees findings entered into the record. The attorney has the opportunity to present his/her defense. The Court sets aside one day per month to hear these cases. They are heard back to back. The Court then meets in camera to decide the fate of the attorney. Their findings are then published.

The process takes months not days.

My wife and I sat down with dinner at 5pm tonight to watch NG and the weekend holiday deal about Tot Mom being arrested... We started eating, and started hearing Casey go into her spiel about being chased by the media (blah blah WHATEVER) routine. I think it is the hearing to determine if the jailhouse tape of Casey's reaction to a child's remains being found on December 11th can be released or not. There are other motions pending, but I don't know if they will be heard at the time of this hearing or not.

Oh my, You made me laugh out loud. Geez Pru, just cut to the chase alright already. Seriously though - these people aren't normal. The whole world is watching. A Norweigan friend of mine told me he saw this story in an Oslo newspaper. These numbskulls and especially's Cindy's antics and during her tv interviews have drawn that much interest worldwide. It's almost like they've taken a stupid pill.

There's a part in almost all of us that is the mixer for shame, embarassment, and humility. The Anthony's don't have that part. Deep down, the Anthony's know Casey did it. They also know that no one else helped her, she did it alone. When she wrote "People Lie. People die" Casey was foretelling her own future.

Yes, she's nonsensical. She used that double talk to her advantage in the past though - maybe making conversation with the teller while she's passing a bad check, maybe to the Target cashier register, while she's buying stuff with a stolen check.

For the most part, I think this new circle of friends had caught on to Casey. TL has managed to stay out of the spotlight, and he was getting ready to ditch her. Casey had to be gone before people started checking their bank accounts. When caught, her explanation was "I needed that money for a back up plan".

Well, that says it all right there, to most of us anyways. Needed the money for a backup plan. That was surely a slip of the tongue, one that got away.

A corner office at Universal... entry level position HA HA HA HA! I laugh hard when I think of that one. What a WHOPPER of a lie! Heh heh.
