OMG, this poor woman. Remember the picture of her last book signing when she and the unsold books were the only thing there? Grief is horrible, never ending and a great weight. I pray she gets peace.

Well, it seems she is none too poular with the RW'ers either..Here is a quote from Rush Limbaugh describing Cindy's ideology:

That same day, Sheehan stated her reasons for cancelling her appearance to a blogger, via telephone.[3] On the August 15, 2005, episode of The Rush Limbaugh Show, host Limbaugh said:

"I mean, Cindy Sheehan is just Bill Burkett. Her story is nothing more than forged documents. There's nothing about it that's real, including the mainstream media's glomming onto it. It's not real. It's nothing more than an attempt. It's the latest effort made by the coordinated left." This was criticised on the MediaMatters blog. [

Bill O'Reilly from Fox:

On August 9, 2005, The O'Reilly Factor host Bill O'Reilly spoke critically of Sheehan, stating:

I think she has been hijacked by some very, very far left elements…there is no question that she has thrown in with the most radical elements in this country…I think Mrs. Sheehan bears some responsibility for this and also for the responsibility of other American families who have lost sons and daughters in Iraq, who feel that this kind of behavior borders on treasonous.

It's so sad really..Cindy will never get justice..polticians will not follow her mandate..However, I do recognize her pain and grief and her desire to fight back against those she feels are responsible for her loss!

The left gatekeepers seemed to have forgotten her.

I don't understand why CS is persecuted for anti-war sentiments...afterall, we all know there were no WMD's. It's a war based on a lie, we all know it. CS should have all of America behind her. So sad that ridicule is such an effective tool.

And SF picked Pelosi over her? I didn't even know it until recently.

I believe that George W. was mislead by the intelligent agencies, although, I do believe that the agencies belived there were WMD. And if they were not there when the troops went in, I believe WMD would have been there soon. Saddan was a murdering rapist who killed thousands upon thousands of Iraqies. I don't think anyone was lying and certainly not George W. to the American people. My opinion only, of course. I understand Sheehan's grief for her son but he was a loyal American who enlisted. Very sad and tragic. :crying::crying:

So you believe that the CIA and FBI mislead Bush? Interesting.

It makes no difference where the bad information came from, there were NO WMD's. Period. Over 40,000 of our country's enlisted have been killed for no valid reason at all.

jmho

One should also remember the thousands more from other countries who died because of those non existant WMDs. Unbelievable.

(The BOLD is mine and for clarification only, because I agree with your post 100%)

He RE-ENLISTED and died on his second tour. He wasn't a child who had been tricked, as she would have the world to believe. He was a man on his second 4 year tour who knew exactly what he was doing.
Does anyone know if she ever allowed the military to place a marker on his grave? At the time I thought it was very sad, and disrespectful to let his grave go unhonored.

Exactly! And to think of all the water boarding that took place in order to find a link between WMD's and the war!

And for the record, Casey re-enlisted WITHOUT telling his mother. Cindy also "misrepresented" her meeting (and initial reaction) with President Bush.

Cindy Sheehan was used and then tossed aside.

That poor woman has been through enough. It's her son, and if she chooses put marker on his grave, then so be it. She has the right to do whatever she wants without criticism from the right wing saying she's disrespectful. It's her business, not ours.

I just wonder how any of us would react if he were our son? There's no way to know until one actually goes through it, so no speculating on this one, please. I'm not going to bash this woman.

jmho

If she hadn't put it out there we wouldn't have known anything about "her business." MO

She told the crowd she was furious with the Bush administration’s policies on the war in Iraq and she isn’t happy with President Obama’s policies either.

Does anyone know if Michael Moore keeps in contact with Sheehan.... or did he just use her, then kick her to the curb?

Is she protesting the Afghanistan war too? I mean if your against war, it should be all wars. Not just Bush's war.
