Conway says the state has a circumstantial case. Only as strong as its weakest link...reasonable doubt.

Blog question: as a former detective, George, what are your feelings about the evidence mounted against Casey? He would want to have everything on front of him before making a conclusion. Larry - you mean you would not have made an arrest? George - I would not have made an arrest. Cindy - they made an arrest because she lied about where she worked.
Once again it's another PUBLIC RELATIONS DISASTER

I want to say, I think Larry did a great job. He didn't allow them to talk their trash. He tried to nail them with hard questions, they either said 'I don't know' or deferred to BC. Who didn't seem to do very well himself.
I'm glad I watched it rather than wait and get bits and pieces from NG or JVM.
For those who didn't watch, try and catch it later. It turned out to be better than we all thought. Which I give credit to all of us, as well as all the other hundreds who wrote into LKL.
Larry read those comments/emails, he did the best show he could based on them.
The Ant's were blindsided and I'm sure from minute 2 were wishing they

1) Larry is absolutely incapable of remembering the names of those involved. He does this ALL the time. You'd think they would start putting pictures of said involved parties on the table with a name tag. It really is not that confusing.

Oh for Pete's sakes, there's a million and one different ways to slice money up to look like you want. You can make yourself look richer on paper than you really are and vice versa. Money can be accounted for in MANY ways other than salary that would be acceptable legally, but I doubt if it is what the people who donate it would have had in mind.

I worked for a not for profit clinic years ago, where the money filled pockets like I haven't seen since. Easy, peasy, that money thing can get quite "creative".

A couple things:

1. I ran a nonprofit for more than 15 years. I think that when asked about "salaries", they skimmed the question. With the "foundation" being run out of the home, they can claim portions of personal expenses as "operating". For example.....Your mortgage is a thousand bucks a month, utilities a couple hundred more. The foundation business happens in two room of the house (offices for IRS tax purposes) and a third of the utilities are tied to those ahem...offices. Same with cars and mileage and such. So they could legally write off about a third of expenses this way. It's ridiculous of course and tarnishes the names of so many valuable nonprofits, but they can get around the salary question this way.

2. A little thing I think I heard, but am not sure cuz my DVR went out. When Cindy was talking about those stupid bears (c'mon, every county already has a program like that in place)......did I hear her say this?????????

Just a word of caution for those considering taking a portion of your home for business expenses. If you do this then you must pay capital gains taxes on the same portion of the profit of the home when you sell it. JMO

I agree with what someone was saying earlier. Her answer was specifically that no salary would be taken. Nothing about Director's fees, home office expense, etc.

After listening to all of the clips, there were a couple of things that really stood out for me.

1. Larry saying that all this prime time should be used by the PI's (in regard to searching for the real killer)

2. Cindy saying Casey was coping and grieving while she was out partying, all people react differently. Coping and grieving? For what? I thought she was working that night at Fusion looking for Zanny?

3. Cindy says something about she hopes the jurors remember their oath! Is she trying to taint the jury pool?

Enough for me, I'm proud of Larry King, he did a great job.

I agree with most folks here that George and Cindy are clearly insane.

A couple things:

1. I ran a nonprofit for more than 15 years. I think that when asked about "salaries", they skimmed the question. With the "foundation" being run out of the home, they can claim portions of personal expenses as "operating". For example.....Your mortgage is a thousand bucks a month, utilities a couple hundred more. The foundation business happens in two room of the house (offices for IRS tax purposes) and a third of the utilities are tied to those ahem...offices. Same with cars and mileage and such. So they could legally write off about a third of expenses this way. It's ridiculous of course and tarnishes the names of so many valuable nonprofits, but they can get around the salary question this way.

2. A little thing I think I heard, but am not sure cuz my DVR went out. When Cindy was talking about those stupid bears (c'mon, every county already has a program like that in place)......did I hear her say this?????????
