OBama is cutting out aid that wil defer costs of jailing illegal aliens as well defer 25% of the education and healthcare cost they incur.


President Obama voted in the Senate to provide additional funding for a program targeted for elimination by his budget that provides states a federal subsidy to offset the costs of jailing illegal immigrants.

Killing the State Criminal Alien Assistance Program (SCAPP) would save $400 million, according to Obama's budget for fiscal 2010 released Thursday. It's one of the largest non-defense discretionary cuts proposed in the president's budget.

It is not a cut to aid for immigrants or to immigrants. It was cutting that program.

States already have money allocated to provide education and legal assitance for everyone living there.

In my jail, the Federal Government was paying a hundred dollars a day to house illegal immigrants in the local jails. Does this mean the states will be carring the cost now? We are already millions behind in our budget. I actually have no problem with the hard working folk who come to America and surely don't want to pay for their jail time on a local level.
I have a real problem with it when they come illegally and take jobs away from Americans.
