I realize this may not be a huge issue, but it has bothered me enough that I finally must say
something about the Morning Express with Robin Meade. Almost every morning, they leave out the most vital detail about a news story. Why? I thought they have a great reputation for news.

Example: They report that fans are injured at a car race, but never provide any description of the injuries, such as did a flying car part strike them, were they struck behind the fence. They said the fans suffered non-life threatening injuries, however they were airlifted out. ????

They reported a story of a man who is still driving a family car that has 300,000 miles on it yet never say what kind of car it is!!!! I certainly wanted to know. Was it a Toyota, Ford, etc. I even went to the website and never could find it.

These are just a couple of the many instances they leave out the most interesting part. I realize they are geared to do short stories, but the major detail they leave out would take app. 3 seconds to include.

Who is doing their writing? Would it do any good to complain.?

You have a valid complaint.

Why don't you contact CNN and tell them about it?

If you watch Morning Express, they may show an address where you can contact them directly.

Thank you Debb! Thank you for bringing this up, because I could not agree more. CNN's morning news segment with Robin Meade is attrocious. It is imo some of the worst television journalism I have ever seen. I am glad someone else feels the same way.
It seems like Robin Meade is more interested in being a star and not a news anchor. She deffinately has to be a popular figure among the current 18-34 hipster-young professional, demographic. This democgraphic is complicated, the type that might work for an internet start up co, etc etc, like movies by directors like Judd Apatow, there are some other trends with this group. I beleive Robin Meade ranks high among this demographic. I know that might sound out there, but I do here alot of "oh she's hot" comments, so go figure.

Robin Meade appears on CNN's Headline News network. And that's what we get -headlines. Quick but if you want more info you have to track it down. I always miss a critical piece of info and have to wait for the next go round - frustrating.

One thing that really bothers me about Headline News and why I cannot watch it is the anchors talk with their HANDS. I just find that so annoying and unprofessional. Hand gestures add nothing to the news; they are just an annoying distraction. I don't know why it bothers me so much, but it really does. :cursing:
