wow.. the writer is very perceptive.. interesting indeed. I have seen more of Obama on TV these past few weeks than I care too... it seems like a Realty TV show.... always in front of cameras.. IMO

Oh my God, you're right. It is like a reality show and some of these people sound like they do when discussing a reality show. Fawning about what clothes are worn, the participant's personal lives, etc. :tongue:

IMO

Well, he does like his face time. I guess he is doing the only thing he knows how to do - sell himself. Governing seems to elude him. It's going to take a lot of time to sell this fiasco. He didn't have any experience Governing but he does know how to campaign.. IMO I'm not buying what he's selling.. lol.. :laugh:

Obama was elected almost 6 months ago.. all signs pointed to a failing economy.. what the heck was he doing all that time beside being on camera every single day? He should have directing Congress to work on a competent speedy stimulus package like the one that bailed out the Banks and Wall Street.. etc.. like I said.. Americans are chopped liver and we pay taxes.. IMO Lesson: never trust a Politician to follow through on campaign promises. :wink:

What in the world does when he was elected have to do with anything? He didn't take office until Jan 20. Before then there was nothing he could do. He's been in office a little over 11 weeks, less then 3 months and you expect miracles. We told you during the election he was just a man, you should have listened to us rather then go off on tangents about him being "the one" and all that carp. We knew he was just a man and he wasn't perfect.

But now you are trying to say that he was responsible for things that happened before he was even in office. Don't you think that's just passing the buck just a tad? After all the TARP bill was passed in Oct. before the election and during the last administration. IMO that's going a bit far to blame him for something that happened before he was even in office.

I love seeing him on TV and watch every chance I get. As I said earlier he's now the president and if you don't want to see him...change the channel. You lost the election, get over it, he's going to be on TV.

What did the sitting President six months ago, all signs pointing to a failing economy, do about it? He didn't even pass his budget, the only President to do that. Left that, Iraq and Afghanistan, the economic crisis all to Obama to handle. Gosh, if you think Obama should have fixed it since inauguration, shouldn't Bush have been able to fix it from Nov. to the end of Jan.? Why didn't he?

Obama knew full well of the problems that were mounting from 2006-2008.. it's all on record and has been discussed at length.. during campaign speeches obama spoke of having the best plan to fix our economy.. he wasn't elected because of his good speeches.. hopefully he was elected because he had a better plan.. unbeknownst to us.. that plan transformed into massive spending that will or will not work to stimulate the economy.. so.

1. Obama gets elected because he has the better plan that McCain based on what Obama told us and the American people believed hook line and sinker. those who voted for Obama.

2. The plan Obama and Congress created will or will not stimuluate the Economy (next year) they've admitted they dont' know, as well as experts on Economy dont really know.

3. In case the trillion dollar stimlus plan does not work.. a back up stimlus plan is being worked on behind closed doors.

4. The only change in the economy is that cigarette taxes have been raised to support Obama's childrens healthcare program.. and Obama needs 50.000 more smokers to keep this fund going.

5. Obama goes overseas and complains/bashes the American people, after his trillion dollar stimulus budget goes through,, calls the American people "arrogant".. you see.. he's already got our tax money in the bag so no need to wine and dine the American people with kind words any further.

More spin. There are good indicators now, and like it took a year and a half to crash with Bush doing nothing, it'll take at least that to stop the bleeding and turn things around. I'm will to let the plan in place happen, it's barely begun and will take time: hint there are no quick fixes and he didn't promises quick fixes: long term fixes.

What seems to be chapping the GOP hide is that Obama has the bully pulpit and he's incredibly effective in using it.

So effective that the majority of Americas don't expect an immediate turn around in the economy and are actually proud of his representation of us in the world.

Doesn't give the GOP much to vetch about---so they attempt their usual spin-----take a positive and pretend it's a negative. (hey, it's worked before). Obama is an effective communicator who knows how to take advantage of the platform the presidency affords him-----so they try to spin that into a negative.

Ho-hum.

Americans seem to be smarter than that. They recognize that the economy will be slow to recover, they're proud of the Obama's overseas diplomatic mission.

The latest poll number belie all the GOP spin of how unhappy Americans are with our President. What the numbers show is that Democrats and Independents are very happy with Barak.

The only ones who aren't happy are the hard core 29%'ers they seem to have some delusion that they're the majority.
