MILTON, Mass. -- A 23-year-old man stabbed his three sisters with a kitchen knife, killing two and wounding a third Saturday afternoon, Milton police said.
Kirby Revelus was then shot and killed by police officers responding to the home at 7 Belvoir Road after the surviving girl called 911.
Killed were Samatha Revelus, 17, and her 5-year-old sister Bianca, police said. The 9-year-old sister who called police was taken to Boston Medical Center

Boy, you know it's bad when "4 Lincoln police officers had to be treated for stress and trauma after the attack" (link above)
What a horror. 3 dead children in 1 family- and 1 had to be shot by police to save another. Sounds like a bad horror flick. This young man must have been mentally ill. Makes you want some kind of explanation that makes sense.

A bit more information in this article, no mention of past mental health issues, but the brothers been in trouble for some time. These poor parents will question their decision to bring him back into the home forever. They seemed to be a normal, well respected family.

In 2004, the district attorney said, there had been another "domestic issue," an assault complaint involving Kerby Revelus.
"It involved punching," Keating said.
More recently, Keating said, Revelus was charged with a firearms violation that resulted in his incarceration. Keating said he was released several months ago.
This is a local story for me, the area is not known for trouble or violent crime.
This is just so horrific. I'm speechless:sad:
Prayers going out to the victims and their parents. :rose:

He was in the act of decapitating his little sister when the police broke down the door. I wonder if he was on drugs and perhaps also had some sort of mental illness. It's like that man who decapitated the young man sitting next to him on the bus.

I don't care what your profession is... seeing a child being decapitated should never be part of your job!!! My heart goes out to those policemen.... I'm sure they will always wonder if they had gotten there minutes earlier or whatever, even tho they did everything they could and they saved one child... in their hearts they will always wonder. Hopefully they do get treatment and have strong families to help them through this.
These parents will never be the same and neither will their daughter... hopefully they also get as much treatment and support as they can as well!!!

This became more than a local story for me today. The oldest daughter Samantha, known to her friends as "Princess", was best friends with my supervisors younger sister. Princess was a constant in her family home & carpooled to school with my supervisors mom driving, a lovely talented girl with a bright future.
They were popular, well rounded, school oriented children from a very respectable well thought of family. Grandmom lived in the same home and watched over the children when Mom and Dad were working. He waited until Grandmom was in the basement doing laundry, she was only down there a couple of minutes.
It was all very fast, the family knew he was irritated/irritable due to a disagreement with a neighbor the day before, but they did not fear he would harm them. They were not afraid of him.

He decapitated his little sister on her birthday.. this is awful. I read so many different news articles about this crime in horror. A few police officers are now on administrative leave and getting counseling. I can't imagine the toughest LE officer not having a hard time seeing a child, barely 5 years old, decapitated.
