FBI Serves Search Warrant on Home of Relative of Missing California Girl's Neighbor
Friday, April 03, 2009

The FBI searched the Oakdale, Calif., home of a man related to the neighbor of a missing 8-year-old girl.

The relative, Chris Sinclair, has been a focus of the investigation into the disappearance of Sandra Cantu a week ago. Three vehicles connected to him already have been seized.

Feds served a search warrant on his Oakdale residence on Thursday.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,512411,00.html

If the vehicles haven't been returned tells me they found evidence connecting Sinclair to Sandra's disappearance, imo.

It's no wonder he was uncooperative. What is he hiding and why?

I'm curious about the Hello Kitty shirt that was found in a search of the trailer park, in Paddy's posted article.

Where was this shirt found? If it was found in a trailer where a little girl lives, it's nothing.

If it was found on the ground, in a trash bin, in a home where no little girls live, I think they should get several people to look at it and determine that it isn't hers. Sometimes when a loved one goes missing, family members say and believe things that turn out not to be true and they throw off the progressing investigation -

One other REMOTE possibility is that there is another little girl in the neighborhood that owned a Hello Kitty t-shirt and upon her mother or father hearing that there may be a creepo in the neighborhood stalking little girls wearing such a shirt, they threw the shirt away.

Remote, but may have happened

question I read a comment Sandra just had a b-day a few weeks ago so she just turned 8 omg no way did this child run away I never thought that anyway..but there is a comment from a parent who's child was at her party a few weeks ago on this just scroll down to the bottom to read comments.

http://www.kcra.com/news/19085108/detail.html

reward for information on the 8-year-old's whereabouts increased to $22,125.

I too was always overprotective (or enough protective, so far) of my children. But posts like these just serve to hurt the parents at this point. A friend of mine's teenager was just murdered this week; the perpetrator told LE where the body was yesterday, after a week of him missing. These posts by perfect people are not comforting to the family.

Sorry, this is not actually directed toward you. I was just very hurt by some of the posts in local news this week with people's opinions. He had a terrific family, and all things are not always in our control.

Note: this is in reference to the woman posting in the news article

Daniel Cantu, the father of a missing 8-year-old who's the subject of a massive search, said today that he passed a polygraph test that probed whether he had a role in her disappearance

I don't think he did anything he had not seen her for a year is what I have heard first it was never in her life then 6 then 2 now 1 still feel he would have high tailed it out of there ASAP if he did anything jmo

I am not sure if he was told he passed or not in a lot of cases they never tell them one way or another as soon as they take them. so until LE says he passed I wont go by what anyone says...

Thanks everyone for the links I am going to check them out sorry if I am getting overwhelmed so many kids are going missing these days I am so happy I have a 19 and 13 yr old I would be scared to death if I had small children or grandchildren I am so protective of my boys and always have been actually they still get mad say I worry to much No I want to keep my kids safe...

This case is really getting to me in part because the SP for the Tracy PD thank god the FBI is on this also. I hate saying anything about LE but as Marc Klass said 11 hours before anyone knew about this little girl was reported and it has been 15 yrs since Polly K and not wanting to report to all LE and media they had the man that killed his daughter with in a hour of Polly being taken LE had no idea about a missing child so they pulled him out of a ditch and let him go on his way so we will never know if Polly was alive or could have been saved it is time for parents to do what they can I would be screaming to all the media or anyone that could help me I don't care what the Amber Alert and other tools go by if it were my child forget that crap scream out to all who will listen..We bring our kids into this world we owe it to them to protect them to the fullest...JMO

This SP was saying at the same time FBI was talking to Sandra's father that they thought he was in Mexico:thumbdown:what a joke this is not a learning experience it is a Child's life

Just so you all know I am from a family of LE so I do not bash unless I feel they are not doing everything they should such as taking 24 hours at least to check out every SO within a 5 mile radius:thumbdown:most children who are kidnapped are dead with in 3 hours. that is the stats.

I know this family is hurting so bad but for one these days we can not allow kids to walk the streets alone they can not go door to door asking for chores to make money from people such as the one that kissed her on the mouth 2yrs ago. We also have to watch people who we think are OK just because they live in our neighborhood we do not know what they do behind closed doors or if they are SO who have failed to reg. they are everywhere be sure and have alerts sent to your email when one moves or works close to you. I do below is just one of many I use.

Another home searched; man talks to police
Friday, 03 April 2009

A 44-year-old mobile home resident agreed to go with police while they searched his home today.

Debra and David Slayter attended a candlelight vigil earlier this week at the mobile home park. Glenn Moore/Tracy Press Police this afternoon drove off with David Slayter, 44, after searching his home at space No. 43 in the mobile home park where an 8-year-old Tracy girl went missing exactly a week ago.

FBI agents and Tracy detectives pulled items from Slayter's home in the Orchard Estates Mobile Home Park and packed them into a white crime-scene truck. A caravan of at least seven trucks and detectives’ cars pulled into the neighborhood shortly before 2 p.m. today.

FBI Evidence Response Team members arrive at the Orchard Estates Mobile Home Park as a search warrant is served for one of the residents homes. Glenn Moore/Tracy PressSlayter voluntarily got in a police about 15 minutes after investigators arrived, said Tracy police spokesman Lt. Jeremy Watney, but police declined to disclose where they went to talk.

Slayter was identified through a newspaper photograph that shows him and his wife, Debra, in front of their home, and another photo of the couple at a candlelight vigil.

Slayter’s name also comes up in an Internet search with an inactive Web site called www.moneymansvault.com, which indicates he lives at 812 W. Clover Road, No. 43, in Tracy.

Very long article, please read more at link:http://tracypress.com/content/view/17706/2268/

I still dont get it what sent them to his home? I saw comments on the above link about they should have never alerted people they were searching trash??I can not see them taking him in for telling her the below there has to be more.:confused:anyone know what this inactive website is all about?

I told her (Sandra), you’ve go to be careful with some adults,” he told a Record reporter Monday

What grown man in his right mind goes around kissing little 6 y/o girls on the mouth? Bet the parents of the children he teaches Martial Arts to :scared: were shocked to hear that one! As a parent of one of his students, I would be sitting my child down and asking some questions.

My mother-in-law saw him march over, sweep her hair off her face and give her a kiss on the lips,”

That was posted about the kiss that day and how it happened and as far as the parents of his students a lot are saying they do not think he did anything he was there that night (the night she went missing)OK guess that is why they did not want to be seen on camera either...jmo
I wonder what his hours are anyone know? she was last seen on camera around 5 right? so when does his class start bet the LE an FBI has checked that out. hope so anyway..jmo

Not just you...it's confusing as to why she's sure it's not the same. I'm sure there are a few pink Hello Kitty shirts made, but what on earth are the chances would one turn up in the garbage from the mobile home park the same week Sandra went missing from the very same place?

P.S. Thanks for the Baja map, Adalena. It illustrates how close Mexicali really is to the border - Merical, you were right, you just picked the wrong side!

Hello Kitty isn't just one image- the shirt found may have had a different picture than the one she was wearing.

Rachel I believe I read in one of the links that it was found in the city dump/landfill. Now if it was determined to have come from an area where the mobile home residents trash was dumped; that I do not know. I don't think it said. Just that it was found in the city dump.

As someone else said there are so many dif images on hello kitty shirts and many of them are pink but it doesn't mean it was exactly like the one the missing child was wearing when she disappeared. There are many dif designs of hello kitty in pink.

I am sure it is not hers but I am glad they went ahead and took it to be tested, good on there part IMO they have not ruled anyone out so maybe they felt just throwing it back in the trash meant they believed that was not the one she was wearing..NOT saying her family did anything wrong just saying I think they did the right thing

My niece was also into that Hello Kitty stuff my gosh there are tons of things..I heard a dog hit on something but never heard what or when but then someone said on HLN if it was in the park that she lived there and her scent could be picked up for that reason...

http://www.mahalo.com/Chris_Sinclair

Chris Sinclair is a 49-year-old man from Tracy, California, who was arrested on March 30, 2009 for interfering with officers as they searched his mobile home trailer. He was cited and released. Sinclair is a neighbor of Sandra Cantu, an 8-year-old girl who disappeared from the same trailer park on March 27, 2009; he is one of at least three individuals who have been questioned in Cantu's disappearance.

Three of his automobiles have been impounded

Mobile home searched on March 30, 2009
Briefly arrested and then released for interfering with official actions in regard to the search of his mobile home

A search warrant was executed on the house of a relative of Sinclair's on April 2, 2009

The FBI also searched the Oakdale, Calif., home of a man related to the neighbor of the girl.

The relative, Chris Sinclair, has been a focus of the investigation into Sandra's disappearance a week ago. Three vehicles connected to him have already been seized.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,512411,00.html

I guess they returned this guys car back to him. This is the martial arts guy who kissed her a couple years ago.Someone said the shirt was not found in the park from this report it was so I can see why it was so alarming until the mom said it was not the same one she was wearing.

Frank Wohler's station wagon was returned Thursday after authorities confiscated the vehicle Monday night when they searched his home.
They also spent the day going through residents' trash.

Police said another search of the trailer park where Sandra lives yielded a Hello Kitty T-shirt like the one the child was last seen wearing.

Dont know to much about the lastest person they are talking to.

The second seemed like it was a personal page and nothing to be taken seriously. I'm not saying it is incorrect, but it was not the most reliable of sources (meaning not an official news site or anything). I'm still holding out hope for a positive outcome. Like you all, I don't believe anything until LE confirms it. Gossip flies fast and furiously, especially online!

Wonder why they searched relatives of Chris Sinclair isn't this the BIL of the poster on here?

http://www.fox40.com/pages/landing_sandra_cantu/?ONLY-ON-FOX40-FBI-Searches-Home-Of-Inter=1&blockID=256595&feedID=2674

FBI agents traveled to the city of Oakdale to search the home of relatives of Chris Sinclair. He's the man who allegedly interfered with FBI agents and officers as they searched a mobile home.

Agents looked through a boat that sat in the driveway of the Oakdale home, brought out canines to sniff out the property and used ladders to help search unreachable areas.

There was also a hole dug a few inches into the ground in the backyard, sitting next to a number of shovels and metal detectors.
