I just watched the DVD, and understand that it aired (certainly heavily censored for language) on MSNBC recently.

This is an incredibly tragic story that could have no happy ending, and IMHO had the genders been reversed and/or the perp not been a physician, the story would have been very different. That they were dealing with international law and child custody further complicated things.

I saw it when it was on MSNBC and recommend it. I wish I could say I enjoyed it. I did enjoy parts and it took incredible strength to follow through with finishing the film. And you are right, somehow people find it easier to believe that a man will abuse his child than a mother.
But from what I understand, some laws in Canada have changed because of the film, which is great. A lot of people dropped the ball on this case, IMO.

Oh my God I saw this a few months ago. I totally did not see the end coming that poor, poor family.. :crying:
