Apparently the father of John Graziano, Edward, has been arrested for plotting to kill estranged wife Debra.. According to the article ~ Mr. Graziano had many conversations with a tipster and undercover agent.. He supposedly paid $2,000 in total plus a $13 giftcard from a Pizza place.

Yeah, I think it has to do with any upcoming settlement or lawsuit winnings that the Graziano's might win against the Bollea/Hogan's.. In one word: GREED. It is just scary to think he was so serious about this that he paid 2k (and $13 on a giftcard.. WTHeck?)...to the informant - Debra is very lucky to be alive.
In the article below - it says that in December Debra was informed by police about the plot against her & told to be cautious. I guess they were waiting to get the goods on Edward Graziano.

Yeah, isn't that absolutely ridiculous? A $13 GC to a pizza joint.. incredible and absurd.
I don't know if you guys recall a few months ago but he was arrested while starting an argument with (I believe) Debra and other family members at the hospital where John was at. Sadly the man seems to have a horrible temper.
I feel very sorry for Debra Graziano - not only is she having to deal with the horrible conditions that her son has been left in but to looking over her shoulder for 2 months or so knowing this creep wanted her bumped off..
It's horrifying.

I still can't get over the $13 gift card to the pizza joint. ROTFLMAO!!!
Must have been something he just pulled outta his wallet on a whim.
"Oh, by the way, get yourself a slice of pie after you kill her"
Yes, I recall his altercation at the hospital. I'm in the area. He has a temper!!!
I read on BN9 that a reporter had spoken to him a couple of weeks ago by phone. That he was talking about not working one day since John's accident. Either has his wife. He asked them to do a story on their finances as to get people to donate to them. BN9 never did. Good!!! The POS needs to get a job.

WOW!! This is so messed up!
I remember being so upset at the Hogans for trashing this family to no end. I guess the father is really crazy though. Wow.
My heart goes out to Debra. How horrifying!

So, what's the going rate for a hit man? Not much, apparently

Interesting article! Talks about how the amount offered to kill in this case may seem low but it is not.

That article was interesting.
It's always amazed me how many people trying to hire a hit man end up with an undercover agent impersonating a hit man. I suppose it's because most people would have to ask around a bit to find someone, and it only takes one of those people to contact LE.
I know someone who hired hit men (2) to kill her husband. She was eventually found out LE methodically going through her phone records (she's in prison - her husband was killed). I think she paid them about $8K - not a big amount to her, but a huge amount to the guys she hired.

Ed is a licensed funeral director. He would not want anyone with aliving will to suffer. He and his wife can’t agree if he should be allowed to suffer or have dignity in death… debra, now guardian was appointed by the courts to look out for john’s healthcare needs, popular or not, (this is terry shivo all over again). …ed is not selfish…. He does not want the hogan insurance money, just peace in the family…. And who has the right to choose who dies, and when…the family…. Ed will have a long time to develope a defense…… you can bet the judicial system in pinellas county will be tried on this one….. I hope john is not suffering….think about it, mom, is it worth the money…ed would pull the plug on john, but never realy let you go down over a pizza and a couple of thousand (this whole hit for hire is a set-up by the police-intrapment)…. Come on, get on with your life…get real……..mom, make the right decision and side with your husband and keep the peace in the family after this tragety…..hopefull loveone signing off ——————

Working where? Didn't his temper get him fired? He was on probation for his violence convictions when he was arrested for this!
So do you think that LE just called the poor sweet soul up and said "pssst - doncha wanna get rid of your wife now?".
He was looking around for someone to do it and someone got word to LE. Slam dunk!
Also I didn't hear that he ever mentioned his son during the "negotiations"..... the son he tried to get at with a baseball bat a few years ago. Guess anger management classes didn't go so well for him.
He is angry, broke and out of work. Methinks he wants the lawsuit funds for himself.

I saw a brief news clip on this. Wasn't quite sure what it was all about. I love it when LE nabs these people trying to do murder for hire. It's chilling to listen to them when they think they're doing their evil act in the dark. Thank heavens they caught him. God Bless Law Enforcement.

Wow! I'm shocked!
I could almost understand if he had wanted Nick taken care of....but his wife???
$13.00 gift card and 2k? Pretty pathetic!
Sounds like a bad Bette Middler comedy, no? It's beyond chilling how casually people will think of killing another.

I'm glad you posted that. Too true. During some of the forensic files cases it's unbelieveable what people will say and how little they'll offer to have someone killed. Some of them even make payments. A type of laywawy plan as it were. Wonder if credit crunch has hit this business? just kidding.
Oprah had a show yrs ago asking people what they'd do for X-amt of money. Majority of her audience said they'd kill another human being for $10,000.00. It was shocking.

Before you know it hit men will be accepting Visa and Mastercard. One of my husband's ancestors was murdered by a hit man that her husband hired. It's a story in the family. I asked what happened to the man and hubby's grandma said everyone knew he had done it but no one could prove it. The husband wanted to sell the property & his wife wouldn't sign the papers so he had her murdered. I've read one of the main motives for murder is money. I wouldn't doubt it.

Wow, I have to say, I never thought he would be doing this well this long. "Doing well" all relative of course. Poor guy. What a shame.

This is so true! These people must not watch much tv. If they did they would realize that most of the time, the people are caught because they are not very bright. Think about it. How smart is someone who would except a few thousand dollars to murder someone? Not very bright IMO.
