Katie..when I was going over event in my head that is the one thing I kept coming back to. I know children sleep hard and some do not wake up even when you move them but an "unknown" person/kidnapper could not have taken that chance of Haleigh not waking up and screaming her head off. IF..BIG IF...it was Crystal then Haleigh would not have been scared and if Crystal told her to be quite..IMO Haleigh would have done so. I hope I am so wrong. I have not thought of Crystal as a suspect what so ever but this thought keeps coming around. I PRAY this case does not end the way the last case ended. I PRAY this little girl is alive. jmo
I hope we are wrong also Texas

I know that Ron usually pleads for HaLeigh to be brought home, to be released, etc.
What I have heard from Crystal when she has said anything that I have heard or read had been "i love you and i miss you"
Has anyone read or seen an interview where she asked HaLeigh to be brought back home? The act of being released or brought home i mean ..

why wouldnt this dumpster have been checked at the beginning???
seems ron was able to go back to the trailer, guess its still not roped off or if it is he has permissionreporter said he had been in earlier

ya and HLN also said she ran away after being asked for DNA... but Crystal said SHE GAVE HER DNA already
so their report sounds wacky anyways
HLN wasn't the first to report Crystal was missing- she WAS. She may have given the DNA by the time she got on camera but too many different agencies reported she was MIA.
I didn't see her but I wonder why she is more concerned with the "BS" than the fact there is serious activity at a DUMPSTER down the road.

Just doesn't make sense to me. you know any dr would have worked with crystal and rescheduled her appt.
ohhhhhh yeah she knew they brought the dogs. No doubt in my mind she knew. then after that she left. and hasnt come back. Possibly Crystal broke down realizing LE wanting DNA might mean to her (Crystal) they had found Haleigh (not alive) and she had to get away from scene. Not because of guilt but just did /could not face that Haleigh was possibly dead. Lets not accuse this Mother just yet..Lets ALL pray for Haleigh and her family. jmo:sad:

Does anyone know whether cadaver dogs specifically hit on human remains, rather than animals too? IIRC I read somewhere that human decomp has a specific odor but I might be wrong.

While I agree for the most part with the caller it was such very POOR taste to say all that at this moment. There is a time and a place this isn't it.
Last shot of the dumpster before the commercial break showed it getting dark and the lights on.
I want to believe they will find nothing but the fact that they feel the need to continue the search into the night instead of securing the scene and finishing in the morning is a very bad sign to me.

Oh that was funny, thanks for the laugh during a tough time. "Kelly" -- that's so accurate, the way she pronounces "Caylee."
I figured it was some Atlanta pronunciation and she liked how she sounded when she said it like that and so that's what she was going to do.

They're going through a lot of garbage bags. Apparently some discarded carpeting as well.
I don't get why they hadn't checked that dumpster from the start. It's right near the home. It would be the most logical place if you're looking for a body. I agree..... if only LE would have read the posters comments on this board. 7 cadaverder dog teams out searching today
LE went back to the home
LE asked for Crystal's DNA, she was apparently at the DR and LE couldn't find her (they went to the wrong office I guess)
Cadaver dog hit on dumpster
Dumpster being searched.
Misti and Ron back at the tent/trailer
They were notified of the search and it seems they are watching it all transpire live.
Crystal reported she wasn't missing and has given DNA.
Think that was it, if I missed anything someone please feel free to add to it.
Anyone else find it odd that LE contacted the Cummings side of the family about the search but not Crystals side? Crystal's mom once again pointing the finger at THEM.

God I hope the dog hit on something other than that little girl. I am so on edge watching this. I can't imagine the anguish the families must be feeling right now.
Previously on the Caylee Anthony board, I have expressed my personal experiences with drug-sniffing dogs. http://boards.insessiontrials.com/showthread.php?p=12589178&highlight=Katprint+drug+dogs#post12589178 The cadaver dogs supposedly alerting at the Anthony residence where Caylee's body might briefly have been stored while failing to lead their trainers to Caylee's actual decaying remains a couple hundred feet away, merely supports my opinion resulting from my prior personal experiences.
Generally the "sniffing" dogs are led around on a leash to various areas where it is believed that the target incriminating evidence is or was, in contrast to rescue dogs who are taken off their leash and allowed to run around on their own looking for victims. Quite frankly, I believe that the "sniffing" dogs tend to perceive possibly subconscious signals from their trainers that they ought to be alerting wherever law enforcement hopes to find evidence. I believe that "sniffing" dogs may be a valuable investigative tool, just like polygraphs or criminal profiling or the hunches/gut feelings of an experienced police detective, but I just don't attribute to them the same infallibility that everyone else seems to.

Oh that was funny, thanks for the laugh during a tough time. "Kelly" -- that's so accurate, the way she pronounces "Caylee."
I figured it was some Atlanta pronunciation and she liked how she sounded when she said it like that and so that's what she was going to do.
Ah. Nancy Grace.
She sure is somethin'.
I've lived in Atlanta most of my adult life and I have never heard anyone who pronounced Caylee as if it were "Cale-lee".
She grew up in Macon, which is south of Atlanta I've visited there often over the years and no one I've known there would pronounce it like that either. It's her.

It is getting dark there ... but LE has set up outdoor lighting.
You can see tall bright lights in the background of the shots on HLN.
One of the reporters on HLN said that LE has "set up stadium type lighting, so they can continue going thru this dumpster tonight."
Also mentioned on HLN that neighbors and other onlookers have set up ladders and are looking over a fence to watch this unfold at the dumpster.
I suppose that is how this camera on HLN is getting their shots we see on TV as well.
Maybe a long lens aimed at the dumpster - but we don't see that fence b/c its not in the camera view. JMO
Glad to see Crystal come on TV and clear up the confusion that was reported on the news earlier. (rumor that she was on the run, etc)
She was at the drs -- LE came and she gave DNA willingly -- and she is now back at the family tent/compound waiting for any news.
I still don't feel Bio-Mom had anything to do with this. JMO
Big concern though ....
seems that there is a big chance that that dumpster has been emptied within the past 17 days.
The dogs still could have made a hit on the dumpster even if it had been emptied - if decomp fluids (sorry) remained in the dumpster even after that solid waste was emptied and carted away.
That would make for a HUGE ground search at whatever landfill the dumpster fill may have gone to.
Hard to believe that this dumpster/area has not been searched earlier.
Reporter just said on HLN that it is only 0.2 miles from the home.

If she was put in this dumpster within the last two weeks -- then there would be fluids, presumably, or perhaps remains.
She might not have been put in any dumpster -- just moved to one later.

It is getting dark there ... but LE has set up outdoor lighting.
You can see tall bright lights in the background of the shots on HLN.
One of the reporters on HLN said that LE has "set up stadium type lighting, so they can continue going thru this dumpster tonight."
(snip)
OMG, are you the Sammy or a Sammy?
I cannot imagine being a family member and having to watch this live on tv with every other average citizen. It just seems wrong somehow, but short of going to stand on the perimeter, I guess watching it on tv is all they can do. Gut wrenching.

This report says Ron was taken in for questioning today.
http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/local/breakingnews/orl-bk-haleigh-search-update-022609,0,4209335.story
Yes Ron spoke with investigators at the house.
Misti was also questioned today and Crystal gave DNA- but why did LE notify Ron of the dumpster search and not Crystal?

What are the odds that the same dumpster is returned to the site every other time it is switched out? Maybe they are numbered and always return to the same location?

Ugg my kids took over the TV for rockband. I'm watching the first coast news link.. My heart is heavy for poor little Haleigh. If she's gone from this world I hope they find her tonight. If they don't, I'm holding on for her to be alive.
As far as Crystal funny girl IMO, she wants the rumors and bs to stop about her.. yet she was ok with going on national tv talking smack about ron.. and her mother even tonight. They can't control their tongues, now is not the time or place IMO. She knew they wanted her dna, she shouldn't have went to her doctors. She was ok with Haleigh missing 12 doctors appointment, she could have missed this one IMO.
At least they got it and she wasn't on the run.. I can't stand the misreporting that has been going on with this case from the beginning.

Oh, this is a horrible thought. If Haleigh is in there, it would mean she was kept for nearly a week.
I just hope this is a false alarm, that there's another explanation for the cadaver hit. Sort of hope the dog wasn't well trained...

She could have been kept in someone's home like JL for a while..

Did I just hear on HLN maternal grandmother say that LE has not been around for a week to let their family know anything? They received a call from someone that it was on the news and they are now watching like we are.
Dumpsters are rotated, after it is full it is removed and an empty put in it's place, if that is not the same dumpster that was there 2 weeks ago any evidence could only come from something that was put in it after it was exchanged.

Usually switched if the people using it can't do without for an hour.

That's true. After all the new developments in the last week, I still haven't believed the immediate family, or Misty, was involved in this. Have always believed it was an intruder SO.
I hope I'm wrong (meaning that I hope she is still alive, and that some family abducted her for whatever reasons)

It is my hope that she is alive,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,but if not, I pray that someone she loved and trusted did nothing to hurt this precious baby.
A note about Nancy Grace:
I hope it is okay that I love watching Nancy. She does keep a missing person in the news so that they are not forgotten. She really get attached to families who lose loved ones. My neice works for her husband's grandmother. She is always telling me things Nancy does for the GM. She is a very caring person.
Plus, I know that Nancy gives loads of money to help children.
I have a gd named Caylee and I know that Nancy does not say this name as we do------------but as my grandfather always told us----------Don't give me that, you know what I am saying. He used many old words that his children tried to correct but he just refused. They gave up after awhile because...............they did not what he was saying..................just as I know that Nancy is saying Caylee........and HaLeigh.

I can't see LE updated every extended relative on the case at all times...seems to me they would be updated on an as needed basis and the people that need to be updated...nothing against a "grand parent" but it would seem to me they would be keeping the parents or at the least a legal custodian parent updated first and foremost.

Sometimes it's not picked up until the customer calls the company to pick it up.
It depends on the arrangements worked out ahead of time.
This is especially true of construction sites.

but maybe it was searched
if someone had her and just put her in there within the last few days then they wouldnt have found her in the dumpster in the first search
just speculating
To nightmares in the last 15 yrs in a sleepy little county………………
It happens, in a small town near us, during a horrible December pre-Christmas ice storm about 7-8 yrs ago-- a little boy was reported missing. Hundreds of searches walked shoulder to shoulder thru fields. The grandfather was all upset etc............fast forward to dawn, first light. The little boy was found lying in a field searched just 2 hrs earlier. The boys body had been gently placed in the middle of a previously searched field. To this date, no one has been charged in his death. Interesting note: the grandfather who made the original report was arrested on multi-drug raid and has been in jail since that night, Many think he had something to do with this murder
Also, another town over, a 12 yr old boy went missing. The missing boy and his friends left their bikes in a neighborhood man's yard. The boys played there daily the resident hung around with the kids. When the 12 yr went missing, Searches started right away. The dude whose owns the property set up a search HQRS..........he paid for posters. we searched every care that went the town, Nothing, Nothing. Then LE started background checks on all of us searcher and this dude failed, he was a RSO out of VA. This same man who allowed these kids time and patience was a hard-core molester who allowed them access to his home yard etc [under the qile of being in a SAFE place] The searches continued, then the body showed up a week later in a worked over cornfield aprox, 10 miles away from he was seen ridding his bike: as it turned out, the "ever so helpful dude , the one handling out flyers in mid traffic; the same dude who went out a bought printers and papers for flyers. ACTUALLY raped and killed the boy, hid him in his waterbed then disposed of him in the cornfield
Good LE determined this man running the show was a SO out of VA. LE went to his home and found some very suspicious findings but nothing that could be directly tied to the missing boy,
Finally, LE got the SO to admit he had held the boy under his water bed and when things calmed down, he moved the body to the cornfield------------so LE got the right one in that case. barf:cursing:
