Because if you turn it off it's likely you'll trip on your way out with the girl?
It's not clear whoever took her is sharp and thinking clearly. Look at that monster Coey, he was high on meth and managed to sneak in, take a child and sneak out.
The guy was brazen enough to enter the home, I could see he was brazen enough to turn on the light to be able to see. Maybe he also closed the bedroom door or maybe the bedroom entrance was located so that light would not enter and possibly wake Misty.

You didnt account for sleeping when he comes home either... obviously! Assuming he sleeps only 6 hours a day that is 18 hours of the day that she is caring for the children. If he sleeps 8 hours thats 20 a day.
I don't get where she is caring for the children 18 hours a day? Didn't the children ever sleep?

Since when does 12 x 3 = 60? He works 12 hour shifts, you assume he works 3 days per week...um, last I checked, that was 36 hours; not 60, as your post indicated.
IMO
Not that it matters....But, the 3 people that I know that work 12 hour shifts work 3 days a week.
2 are nurses.
the other is a guy that works in a factory.

When the cops arrived at nearly 4 am, the washing machine was working in wash cycle? Or it had stopped in that cycle? That would be remarkable to think about washing clothes at that hour.
Umm...that is odd...2 small children are a big responsibility for a young woman...at her age she should be having the time of her life...I have such a gut instinct about this story..Did the gf just snap over having to care for these young kids?

Out of curiosity..why??
K!
In an interview with the gf she said she got up to got to the bathroom but didn't because she noticed the kitchen light on and went into the kitchen. Thats when she said she saw the door open.
She was asked at the end of the video if she had turned it on but the video stops before she answers.

Thanks! Sorry I didn't think of the kidnapper leaving the light on...we leave our kitchen light on all the time, so I wasn't thinking it odd.
Just :punch: me!

Yes they would pick up her scent. In the Laci Peterson case they picked up her scent out to the drive way where Scott carried her.
Boats are very loud.......unless it was some kind of canoe or paddle boat. I just do not see that happening.
Depends where the dock is and if there are trees or brush to muffle the sound. Also if the boat woke someone up, they'd likely just stir and fall back asleep. No one was yet aware that a child was snatched.

Her mother too (the grandmother). I was out last night and missed the updates but the reporter on twitter said the maternal gm was speaking in tongues at the prayer vigil.
I find that weird.
Why do you find that weird EG? Some denominations in Christianity do speak in tongues during prayer.
I don't, but I know some who do and they are perfectly normal.
I just got told by some poster or another here that the bedwetting theory that someone else put out and I am in the process of entertaining, was too far fetched as aliens beaming her out. Does no one else beside me remember the whole bedwetting problem that little JonBenet had and the cops that suspected that may have led to her death?
Excellent post and good theory IMHO. Bedwetting rage is not ruled out. At least not by me.
Same here January. Although, I am wondering if dogs were brought in and if so, did they hit on anything? I'm not sure how long a deceased body would have to be in an area to leave a scent, but it would seem that if Haleigh passed on inside the house that there would be a scent left behind. Please someone correct me if I am wrong in this.

I lived in Naples for 20+ years. We often come here Clay County, to visit my parents. We would drive SR 27 and go through Immokalee. We always made sure our doors were locked and windows up. Now the streets were full of people who were not scared at all. Strange huh?
I'm not sure I totally understand the need to lock doors and put windows up while driving through Immokalee on SR 27. Been that way many times, sometimes driving alone. I never felt fear. I've been through LaBelle too. My daughter lived in LaBelle for awhile. Poor communities doesn't mean everyone there is a criminal.

Wow, that's a good question because a cinder block is porous. I don't think that it would retain a full fingerprint but I have no idea how to check to see if I am right on that one. Any forensic people in here today?
Fingerprints? Highly unlikely. However, they can pick up third party transfer DNA. That's only of use if they have a suspect.

Because even Nancy Grace said it last night on her show. What criminal turns the light on to do a robbery or a kidnapping?
I would add that what criminal would leave the light on as he is leaving the scene of the crime? It kind of messes with that whole "cover of darkness" that criminals love so much.
Sometimes there is just no accounting for criminals. When I was little, our house was broken into. He left the lights off, but the genius shone his flashlight out the front windows of the house, as he moved through it . . . so we could see where he was in the house as we were approaching and pulling into the driveway.
