I've read that Bruns was arrested in '99 at the age of 19 for the same charge. He was in college at the time. My quesstion is this...why did a judge not require that such a young guy have some counseling. Obviously, at 19 he had some serious problems that haven't improved over time.

here is a link. evidently he was hired just before they started doing criminal background checks. i am not a fox fan...but i don't think this really has anything to do with them. many institutions dont...i worked in a childrens hospital and at least as of 2001..they did not do one on me. not that there was anything to find..i just know from reviewing my hire file.

that is not necessarily true. It really depends on what the issue is. Is he a pedophile, a sexual addict, a pornography addict? If he is a pedophile I do not believe he can be cured, but addictions can be treated. A lot of people who have sexual addictions, including pornography addictions, just like drug addicts start looking for a greater "high." The child pornography would be more taboo and fill that need. Also, most of the people convicted of child pornography viewing in this country have never taken pictures or touched a child themselves and were the victims of child sexual abuse. This is a cycle that needs to end. Oh and, this does not belong on the policital board. IMO

I do not fault fox for this, many 19 years olds have a record for dating younger girls in their high school, these are not treated as seriously as a 36 year old dating a high school girl and in most cases they should not be, not all, but most of them - this is part of the problem of treating young consensual love among teenagers the same as adult child predators... sometimes real criminals are overlooked and not seen for what they are

as a side not, I would like to see the 9th grade go back to jr high, no reason our daughters should be in a high school in 9th grade
