PLAINFIELD, N.J. –- Dozens of unemployed Central American immigrants who lost their jobs and can't afford to pay rent have moved into caves, reports El Diario/La Prensa. Immigrants have been living in the makeshift homes in Plainfield and North Plainfeld, N.J. for three months, and call their new residence the “Devil’s Cave.” Their decision to move into caves is a testament to the harsh climate of the current economic crisis, which has had a greater impact on the undocumented who have more difficulty accessing government aid after losing their jobs.

And where is back home? This is the land of immigrants, unless you are a Native American.
What companies are you referring to? Moved over to where? Your post makes no sense.
So You believe This is the land of illegal immigrants, unless you are a Native American. Ok.....whatever

I agree that this is "the land of immigrants."
But not illegal immigrants.
"Back home" means that they go back to the country they came from, and (if they choose to) come back legally.
Just my opinion on this subject.

I agree with the posters that make mention of legal citizens of all ethnic groups are are homeless and unable to find work because of the economy.
If they are illegal so they cannot get government aid, then it stands to reason, they have not paid into government programs that provide aid.
I don't understand why this particular story is so much more tragic than legal citizens going through the same crisis.

Don't confuse a land of immigrants with a land of illegal aliens!! Don't compare those who followed the law to those who broke it. "Home" is their point of origin.
