IIRC she stole the gas more than once.


Tony went to help get get the gas cans on the 11th or 12.. TonE's transcript - (page 20) then he said she ran out of gas again sometime around the 22nd (page 22)..:

She borrowed the shovel from Brian Burner either on the 18th or 19th - IIRC. So I do not believe the shovel was used to open the shed since it doesn't correspond with the correct dates. mo.

Read-in, basements are of no use and actually terrible to have in a hurricane. They are useful in a tornado since tornadoes don't "dip down" (below land level), but in a hurricane flooding is the biggest cause of loss of life and property. With a basement, that just compounds that.

(ETA - hence they occasionally have these sinkholes there, when one of these holes gets exposed, and whole cars and roads get sucked into them)

Pretty hard for me to fathom, what kind of foundation do you build on?? sorry to sound like such a dunce... it just sounds so strange to me:blink:Well, the homes are built on sand. Most have a concrete slab under them. If you have ever been to Key West, the "beach" there isn't really like any sandy beach that you might be familiar with. It is like lying on hard, spongy stuff. Weird stuff.

I am not sure. Amy says it was either the 29th or 30th.. they went to Target between 11:30am - 1 pm that day and bought the gas can. Then they hung out at Amy's until Amy had to go to work around 5 or 6pm. but nothing is ever said about what happened to the gas can?

So what do you make of her just dropping off the car, in a public area, with her purse on the front seat and caylees car seat in the back. Did she think her parents were not going to look for it? My opinion is that everything in that car with any cloth in it had absorbed the death smell, and she did not want to bring those things with her when TonE picked her up at Amscot. JMO

Amy's text from Casey on the 25th is another reason I do not believe George got as close to Casey's car on the 24th as he claims he did. I think he caught Casey trying to put the gas cans back in the shed. jmo

I think whatever was kept in the car would pick up the odor but it's possible she had the windows down when she was driving it, and if there was any smell on her she'd blame the squirrels. MOO

And that is the only reason that the world found out about Caylee.
I believe she was going to use the gas can to burn the car.
Because IMO If Casey could have gotten to Ca she would still not told anyone about Caylee being missing.
I could just see her calling home and telling Cindy she and Caylee are having so much fun and make up excuses for why she could not put Caylee on the phone ...just like she did for those 31 days.
When the Anthonys were told about the car in the tow yard and they smelled the smell that is when Casey's plans all fell apart.

Came back to say I made a mistake earlier today talking about a high profile case where one of the jurors had convinced the other 11 that the defendant may not have committed the crime and the defendant was acquitted.

Spector had numerous instances of inviting women to his home, and forcing himself on them while waving a gun in their faces.

LKB and the other lawyers managed to convince at least one juror that the victim had committed suicide.

It blows my mind how often skillful lawyers can make a jury so confused that they lose track of simple common sense.

The last I heard he said he was drawing up the papers for it. It seems to me like something is supposed to be released tomorrow. I wondered about that too. It seemed odd that in all we know about that first night after Cindy dragged Casey out of TonE's, we hadn't heard about Cindy questioning her about the car. Because she must have, it was the precipitating factor that led to Casey's house of cards collapsing. It doesn't seem reasonable for someone in that house not to have demanded to know why Casey hadn't called to tell them that about the car. She was already starting on the Nanny story, so maybe she added the car story to it, like: oh, yeah, Zanny had to take her car to the shop so I said she could use mine and I left it parked where she could pick it up and so when I saw it was gone I just figured she'd taken it as planned. Um, um, she had a key. I didn't think about those stupid people at the Amscot having it blankety-blank TOWED!!!! I can just hear her throwing herself into the story and getting indignant that the car had been towed before Zanny could get to it.

In Casey's mind that would explain 1) why she had left the car at the Amscot, and 2) why she hadn't called home to say the car was missing.

That might have sounded reasonable enough to Cindy at the time that she dropped it to ask about the more important question, where is Caylee?

Because I was wondering less about Cindy's question in the jailhouse visit and more about Casey's reaction to it. She acted as if she didn't have a clue what Cindy was talking about and just slid over it and let the whole question hang. That seemed odder to me than the question itself. Maybe it never was mentioned again on that first night but was still in Cindy's head, 'why didn't Zanny ever go get the car?' but so inconsequential to Casey that she didn't even remember having started to answer it.

That's the only way I can make sense of that whole issue. I also feel that when she asked the question and Casey let it slide Cindy understood not to press her because she didn't want to LE to hear another lie.

That's where I have to disagree. You are talking about a NORMAL woman, which Casey is not. She killed her child and let her decompose for at least two days before she got rid of the smell. I think you have some of the scenarios right, but wrong dates... TonE picked her up the week before walking on Chickasaw, IIRC. He picked her up at Amscot on the 27th. But good thought on walking home and getting a shower and scavenging the fridge while she was there...

7-3 lee and cindy were deffinately looking for her , one of her friends said she was at a club and got calls from lee and cindy saying they were coming for her and casey said we have to leave or something , and told them that her brother and mom were going to come there ,so they left .

They had been trying to find her ever since she left. Isn't the 3rd the day C went to Universal and found that KC did not work there. Although C had been in contact with KC by phone/text she had never been able to speak to Caylee. I think C really was trying to see Caylee, moreso than KC. JMO

only thing is odd is if you are driving and you are pretending to be this other ZG , not the one suing ,but this one birthday 1-11-86 , would not the cop say well what is your social security number , also they have pictures to see what the DL photo looks like , no ? I'm still investigating on this. It might just be a mere coincidence, I don't know yet. On 06/11/08 the defendant appeared in court on the ZG case. Wouldn't she have had to show a driver's license then? But nothing was ever paid and d/l was suspended on 01/12/2009. She was charged on 05/24 for Failure to yield/veh approaching intersect and not having a valid DL. Annie was charged on the same day because seat belt not worn by driver. If it was Annie's car and Casey was driving, wouldn't Annie be charged? How does that work? Anyone know? Off to do a little more investigating. I found another ZG with some traffic citations but her DOB is 09/02/57. BTW Annie had a prior misdeamor for something about alcohol, maybe drinking under age, can't remember now. PLEASE don't tell me MR g/f is Joy Wray!!!!

only thing is odd is if you are driving and you are pretending to be this other ZG , not the one suing ,but this one birthday 1-11-86 , would not the cop say well what is your social security number , also they have pictures to see what the DL photo looks like , no ? I mean cop would have known it was not really ZG by that ,if casey was trying to just give that name ? I just can;t see a cop letting you go driving with no vaild license and all ....granted though if the car was annies and she was able to produce registration and insurance and the only offense Annie had was the seatbelt thingy ,they may have let them go ? That's where I have to disagree. You are talking about a NORMAL woman, which Casey is not. She killed her child and let her decompose for at least two days before she got rid of the smell. When you don't have anybody to move them, you move them yourself. Some animals (actually, a lot of animals) smell pretty bad even before they start decomposing. You don't want to leave fresh kill around very long. A decomposing animal carcass is pretty rank, probably the next odor down from a decomposing human body. Even a little mouse smells extremely disgusting, and for long enough that you're going to wish you'd moved it before it got that bad.

Suicidal squirrels are very amusing. I always yell "Suicide Squirrel Alert!" so that everybody in the car can enjoy the chase. I've never had one climb under the hood after I hit it though.

I'm still investigating on this. It might just be a mere coincidence, I don't know yet. On 06/11/08 the defendant appeared in court on the ZG case. Wouldn't she have had to show a driver's license then? But nothing was ever paid and d/l was suspended on 01/12/2009. She was charged on 05/24 for Failure to yield/veh approaching intersect and not having a valid DL. Annie was charged on the same day because seat belt not worn by driver. If it was Annie's car and Casey was driving, wouldn't Annie be charged? How does that work? Anyone know? Off to do a little more investigating. I found another ZG with some traffic citations but her DOB is 09/02/57. BTW Annie had a prior misdeamor for something about alcohol, maybe drinking under age, can't remember now. Once the remains were identified to be those of Caylee I thought it would be interesting to see how George & Cindy would respond to the news. In their vocal, visible and sometimes seemingly delusional defense of Casey I'm not surprised that it's all about who is NOT invited to the memorial.

IMO they knew when they smelled the car but immediately went into the save Casey mode. She thought the threat of calling the police would make Casey fess up and she called too soon. If Casey would have told the truth on day 1 (or day 31) I think Cindy would never have called 911 moo

I too had wondered what was up with the July 3 calls between Casey and Lee. It may just be that he was attempting to get her to bring Caylee by the parents house for the July 4th holiday. That is a day where many families get togather. So, it may be just that.

I thought I recalled Caseys party girl friend-? Amy- say that Casey left the club for a couple hours to meet with Lee.

So, it could be for a more sinister reason, such as moving Caylee body, etc. I am sure the LE know what towers the cell phones were pinging off of..... I think there was a third person involved with calls/texts during that night- not sure, but may have been Lees girlfriend.

Exactly! There's some good reason that Annie's interview was not released and baez is not complaining about it.. There's also a very good reason CA cut up Annies hat..If they were stopped on same day by different officers and if CA gave a fake name she more then likley would not say one word about it... But if they both showed up in same court room on same day Annie would have known if they called a different name and casey went to bench.. IMO Annie's testimony is going to be BIG! The LE from almost get go knew there was no nanny and also thought Caylee was dead...

ZG made a pmt on 07/15, granted Casey could have done that early in the day before all heck broke loose. However, how did they explain the $100 pmt on 08/15? Uhm, when you get caught driving without your drivers license..that's exactly what happens. They give you a ticket - they "let you go driving off without a valid license"...

they don't arrest you over not having a drivers license on your person! And they don't ask for your SS # - they give you a ticket.. or they give you a "warning" - if you get a lenient cop..

How would a traffic cop have access to different DL pictures from his vehicle to check whether Casey was really ZFG? You think their computers in the squad car can access all that? And if they could - you think every cop would check to make sure the driver was telling the truth?

No, I believe it was Amy and Troy who went with casey to the party. Caylee was not there. casey, Amy and Troy had been to a restaurant, or somewhere together prior to the party.
Remember Cindy found the pics from the NC party on their computer and was pizzed at casey for lying to her about working that night while she babysat for Caylee. IIRC Cindy slammed casey with this in the car the night she found casey, per Amy.

I have seen several photos from that party posted on the web, and Caylee is not in any of them. So, if she was there----was she sleeping in a bedroom, or car? Uhm, when you get caught driving without your drivers license..that's exactly what happens. They give you a ticket - they "let you go driving off without a valid license"...

they don't arrest you over not having a drivers license on your person! And they don't ask for your SS # - they give you a ticket.. or they give you a "warning" - if you get a lenient cop..

How would a traffic cop have access to different DL pictures from his vehicle to check whether Casey was really ZFG? You think their computers in the squad car can access all that? And if they could - you think every cop would check to make sure the driver was telling the truth?

Funny I just confirmed this . in FL YES front seat passenger had to wear seat belt , if not you get a ticket , fl has a motto click it or ticket!

Annie would get her own ticket for no seatbelt CASEY gets the ticket for failure to yield and no DL ....

Regardless, when you get pulled over & don't have a DL on you - they don't arrest you for it. They give you a ticket. Period. The most they would do is plug the name you gave them into the computer & see if you have a warrant for your arrest. If not, they will let you drive home.

I listened to the show and its my understanding that RK was influenced by what LP was saying on tv about Caylee being in the Econ River. He believed that may be true and backed off from looking. His gf kept at him until he went back and looked again. Who knows, if RK was a bounty hunter maybe they knew each other. Nothing would surprise me!

I know if I can pull up a photo and all of the information on people on probation with DOC from a laptop, the cops can surely have computers too. In fact, I remember one of the investigators in the beginning saying he tried to pull up the ZG in their DAVID system. We must have a different version at work, because ours is DAVE. They probably have a more thorough version. Though we can get the DL number, address, insurance information, and even tells us if the person is deceased or has a suspended license, etc.

Ok, now I've read Dante's report again, I was thinking he and Annie were still together. Now we know about the phone calls to Don Reid Ford. I remember discussing that. But I see a new name popping up. A guy Casey dated in high school, Kennew Drewpiski, referred to as Drew. Hmm. When she im`d Amy and told her that she got rid of the smell in the car she said that it was caused by two dead squirrels in the motor....Whatever...This is definitely a lie because I have never heard of a woman touching a dead animal carcass.This is a man s job and no man came forward saying he got rid of the carcasses.No woman will even touch a dead mouse in a trap let alone 2 dead smelly rotting squirrels.The only reason she had to get rid of the smell herself was because it was something she did not want anyone to see...This is proof for Dr koby that it was a human in the trunk and not a pig or squirrel as he said

If I recall correctly Casey told Amy her dad ran over the squirrels and they were under the car stuck to the undercarriage. So think about her getting under that car and scraping off dead squirrels. It's a big fat lie, you can't get under a car unless you raise it up. She would never do that.

Now she told Lee squirrels got under the hood and died. Two of them. That is highly unlikely and I am sure LE has checked that. So what it all boils down to is that before CAsey lost possession of the car she told Amy it smelled like something dead was in it.

That's great for the prosecution!
