View Full Version : Friday January 16 - Part 1
Good Morning,
I'm still :w00t: over the video? WTH? Any thoughts on why this one was held back? Some are saying it was an oversight. I don't think so. I'll have to watch it again to see if there was anything missed.
Interesting that George only started communicating with her right before her arrest? Did anyone else catch that? I know he and Cindy were separated for a while but why wouldn't he be communicating with his daughter? hmmmmmmm
No, I don't think she ever had the one on one. IMO, Jose talked her out of it.
My guess is Jose really fought on this one, as it showed his client in her true light. The anger is so self-explanatory, and I can't wait for the jury to see it, along with the first call to the GP's home.
I think there's more (and worse) to come.....
Oh I agree. We got to see her anger and also how manipulative she is.

Good morning!
Stay warm, everyone!
I am watching NG from last night and when I heard Nancy say that the entire Ant family was seeking to cooperate with LE (all asking for immunity) I reacted
Isn't more that all the Ants don't want to be prosecuted and obviously have criminal liability??
That's what their seeking immunity means to me!! Not that they are now going to cooperate!

Good morning
Yes we did see Casey in another light.
Can you just imagine now what may have happened that night? Casey and Cindy engaged in a heated argument. Cindy goes for Casey's throat. Casey is enraged and leaves house with Caylee. Caylee is scared and crying. Casey has had just about enough. Puts duct tape Across Caylee's mouth. Caylee is still struggling. Casey grabs Caylee's blanket, pillow, baby doll and smothers Caylee. (I always kept blankets/pillows in my car)
Prosecution may believe Caylee was killed in a fit of anger and this video proves Casey is capable of that. Yes.....I can see JB being very nervous how the jury will perceive Casey after watching this tape.

Caller to NG asked about George having been sighted coming out of a woods and was it where the body was found.
NG said no, he was seen coming out of the woods where a tipster said s/he had seen Casey come out the woods near the airport carrying a shovel.
Now that was absolutely news to me. If true, George went searching where his daughter supposedly was sighted with a shovel??

Good Morning everyone..Does anyone have the link to the once again outraged Casey..I missed NG last night. (sighs)
G. ANTHONY: Hey, listen, I want you to know you are the boss through this whole thing. OK?
CASEY: Well, no, I`m not anymore, Dad. I haven`t been since I got here.
http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0901/15/ng.01.html
The boss? I bet she was the boss at home too. :cursing:
I think the CASEY PICKING GEORGE As the special one to speak with was Casey's little way of subliminal message to daddy . I kind of feel like maybe the day of the gas can incident really did take place and though I don't feel like George confronted her in the chaotic confusion that day when she did rush out to the car that day before he did to hand deliver the gas cans.
I think that Casey does not know exactly what dad saw that day ,but suspects that he may have seen something and since he had not acknowledged what he may have seen smelt or other she wanted to get a feel for what he may have witnessed and needed a one on one with him in case something came out and she did have to confess.
Or maybe too she has some black mailing she could work on George and knows somehow she could hold him under the gun with her own knowledge .......................it is peculiar.
Good points.

I remember Cindy saying that Lee and Casey were on "her side" about the troubles in the A's marriage. When some folks are on the outs w/other family members, they just don't communicate.
Why did Nancy Grace choose to show the same clip of the video twice rather than take the time to show another, different part of the Ant convo?
Even in the other tape, it was the same bit over and over and over, day after day after day. I guess she decides what she thinks is the most important part, and doesn't think her viewing audience need worry about the rest?

True. I guess my point was I didn't realize that Casey and George only started to communicate right before she was arrested. I thought that was odd considering George was obviously back in the house for a while. Wasn't he?

Good morning!!!
I think the only one confirmed seeking criminal immuntiy is Lee. Must be an interesting time in the Anthony Home.
Good morning! No, the Anthony's lawyer (in the wheelchair) has asked for it also. They asked first. He said he wouldn't be doing his job as a lawyer properly if he didn't ask for that.
I believe that we are catching a 'glimpse' of the real Casey in this video. Her rage that is always right below the surface came out a bit. I think it gets worse than that. And you can bet Jose didn't want this one seen. Every time Cindy tried to ask her a question, she flew into a rage and shouted the poor me act to deflect answering. I just feel so badly about little Caylee. She didn't deserve any of this.

I think the airing of this video could possibly go 2 ways though.
When someone is frustrated because they are telling the truth they may react this way too. Think of this ,we all know that if we were innocent and up against a wall being prodded for details and info when we truly did not know anything more to tell ,it would cause grea frustration ..........also remember casey says ,she has not been allowed to show feelings .............attorneys will coach people saying they should not react , not get too emotional because it could give the prosecution amo shaking the client up and be able to make the client break down ...maybe jose was coaching casey and telling her don't react don't react .....so showing this video maybe let it be seen casey does have feelings and emotions ,because up till now we had not seen any emotion ! Maybe prosecution never turned this vodeo over because they did not want the world to see she does seem frustrated over the whole thing ? its all in perception , each individual perception..i thnk video could work both ways!
Casey clearly says she wasn't supposed to meet with them. They woke her up. Jose was in NY. Jose was the one that asked for this video in court. Perhaps he's rethinking that decision? This video does nothing but show that Casey is a cold blooded killer. LP says she knew she was going to be bailed out at the time of the visitation. Me, me, me. She never asks if there is any news on Caylee. Her anger leads me to believe that George & Cindy are afraid of her. If they are afraid what about Caylee? IMO

I see your point. However, the thing is......she does not show "frustration" or anything else about Caylee. Caylee is hardly mentioned at all by Casey. That's the biggest problem. Her frustration and anger/misery seems to be only about her being there in jail.

I didn't detect a fear in general of Casey....what I did detect was their fear of crossing her, or making her angry, or demanding too much....because then she would totally shut down. They are still hoping to get information about Caylee, and they believe only Casey holds those answers. At that point I still think they have been convinced by her (snowed by her) of the nanny story. They truly want more information but she just talks in circles. They feel that if they are too harsh with her all communication will be closed completely. IMO.

I disagree somewhat. I think if a person is truly innocent they would spill their guts. Casey only talked about herself and how she was feeling and how bad they're treating her, the me me me me. When asked about Caylee, she would get angry. Angry because she knew she couldn't tell them where Caylee was because Caylee was dead.
She didn't want to talk to Lee because he would interrogate her. Hellllooo. She forgets this wasn't about her but about Caylee and finding her but all she was concerned about was getting out of jail. What did she do when she got out on bond? Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

Good morning to all...it's minus 27 here..brrrrr!
I just finished watching that video as well, and I am wondering if Jose has at least one objective person viewing these taped visitations?
The first time I watched it appeared that the only time Casey sweats a tear is when it comes to her feelings, her frustrations of being in jail...nobody 'understands' where she is coming from.
I watched it again...and not only is anything 'emotional' about 'poor Casey', but even the very few times Caylee is mentioned she doesn't break down...she gets angry..As if they shouldn't even mention Caylee, and if/when they do she gets even more frustrated that they don't understand how badly this is affecting her.
And we all know how this turns out with her being released...at that point she could have been screaming at the top of her lungs in the media for whomever had her daughter to pleaaaaase bring her home...but she didn't.
If you close your eyes while listening to this video you can almost tell what the next 'reaction' from Casey is going to be...her 'tone' sure changes between when she is speaking to George, and when Cindy is speaking to her...the reaction is predictable.
Again...I hope Jose Baez knows what he is getting into here...he may see his 'sad' client there...many others will see a self centered immature 22 year old saying what she thinks she needs to...to get her butt out of that jail. She sounds a lot like our kids did at 15..but...but...you don't understand! Sure I do..I just wasn't born yesterday...and Cindy and George still 'play'...
I don't 'fault' them for that...they want/need information that only Casey can give them/LE. But I also think it gives great insight into the dynamics in that family unit.
Just my opinion of course..

I thought it very telling that she gloated to mom that she does not get negative mail...as if mom deserved to but she did not and as if she were the priority and mom should focuas on being grateful that Casey gets nice mail.

It seemed to 'irk' Casey that on Caylee's birthday (August 9th) she was under the impression that Cindy had made chili and that there were folks over at the house to visit...she didn't appear 'sad' that she wasn't there or that even Caylee wasn't there..it almost looked like she was jealous? Almost like someone was stealing her thunder and the attention should have been on 'poor Casey' and not the family eating chili..it's odd...

Just my opinion of couorse...
Yep I got the impression she was upset they had a party without her. Poor Casey was stuck in a jail cell with the blanket over her head reading her bible.

Hiya BJ, boy do I agree with you. Lots of pathology here and any juror viewing casey anthony very cooly appraising mommy and daddy's new tee shirts will be creeped out, imo.
Absolutley no normal motherly love and concern FOR HER MISSING CHILD is evident on that tape. We know why and so will any jury, imo.

Well.....as far as I can see....she thinks it is all about her
A victim and all
She should know by now that she is officially listed as the Perpetrator. Caylee, her family, and those who must now deal with this tragedy are the victims.
She must again be having an identity crises brought on by delusion. Some kind soul should take her somewhere and set her straight.... and I am sure once she gets into the general population and no longer coddled in a private room, she will learn this quite quickly. I just hope that it comes out on Video like all there other tapes. This one we may actually enjoy watching.

How long can she seriously carry on with this?
When will that dilusional girl figure out that her life is over..so it doesn't really matter what mom and dad think anymore..
Calla, I think Casey can go one forever. For a 22 year old girl she has me blown. I just don't know any 22 yr olds that cold and hard. That tape was in August, the public knew about Casey in July here it is January and she is still sitting in her cell eating pork skins, drawing, eating chocolate not saying anything.
I just don't see how she can hold up to all this. She is dilusional. Her life is over and it will get harder for her once she is convicted.

Miller also talked about the strange dynamic of going into the Anthony's house for the first time while Casey was out on bond and her daughter was still missing.
"She had smiles all over her face, ran around like she had just won a cheerleading competition. Very discouraging from the beginning," Miller said.
Early on, Miller said it was obvious Casey had no remorse. Not from what she said. It was what she didn't say.
"Being in that house over a four day period of time, Casey never even said the word Caylee one time. Certainly we had a lot of concern," he said.

Thats what the rage was , and it could be seen that way in the times she said it abd the rage came out about THAT ....we are all privy to the facts of the case of course., but the rage was in that stance .......I have to admit being totally honest that while she does not have all the right feelings portrayed at all the right times I can connect with being prodded and frustrated when clearly I know nothing more ................I say this from the stance that IF it were true and I knew nothing I too would go into a rage out of shear frustration .
but she does/did know more.

Casey doesn't have any incentive to tell the truth now IMO. Things are only going to go downhill for her from this point forward and I think she will maintain her silence.
I think the only hope is that she truly 'finds' God and then she may tell the truth. However, all her talk in the video about the bible made me want to gag. at first I thought his "misconduct" accusation was because of the potential 1 on 1 but then I remembered Casey talking about him setting that 1 on 1 up.
Now I think it's because of this visit. He forbade it and Casey did it anyway. He was out of town and didn't want her speaking to anyone and she did and it's on tape.
However, Casey is an adult and she could've refused it but chose to come out and have the interview and that isn't misconduct, it's Casey wanting to talk about Casey.

I see your point. However, the thing is......she does not show "frustration" or anything else about Caylee. Caylee is hardly mentioned at all by Casey. That's the biggest problem. Her frustration and anger/misery seems to be only about her being there in jail.
I agree...the video showed Casey was thinking of no one but Casey.
She constantly says she has no one and nothing.
She tells her parents they have each other and she has nothing.
She can't do anything about anything.
It is all about her.
I can't believe George saying she is the boss.....why doesn't he just come out and say Casey tell us what you did with Caylee. Tell us the truth. But he talks like a child himself telling her she is the boss .....
I actually was sickened watching before I watched the whole thing.
I still have not gone back to finish because I litterally wanted to strangle that whole family .
Baez is the one who requested that video ....I too bet he is sorry he did now.
I hope they show the video after all the evidence is presented ...just before or if they are allowed during closing arguments....I think the jury needs to be reminded about how Casey is all about Casey just before they go to deliberate.
By telling them she was not supposed to meet with them, that she didn't have to meet with them, Casey lets them know they should be grateful she is even speaking with them.
George tells Casey how thankful, how grateful he is for Casey allowing the visit.
when it doesn't go as she wishes, she threatens to walk out.
they retreat
she keeps them in their place.
Her power lies in witholding the truth, she holds the key, telling the truth would strip her of her power and render her useless. She knows they desperately want answers, she knows witholding keeps them on their knees.
imo, moo

Good Morning,
I'm still :w00t: over the video? WTH? Any thoughts on why this one was held back? Some are saying it was an oversight. I don't think so. I'll have to watch it again to see if there was anything missed.
Interesting that George only started communicating with her right before her arrest? Did anyone else catch that? I know he and Cindy were separated for a while but why wouldn't he be communicating with his daughter? hmmmmmmm
I definitely don't think it was an oversight but I can see why Baez wouldn't want it out there. The rage on Casey's face alone is reason enough for him to try to keep it from being released.
Since Cindy was the family's support, Casey might have not wanted Cindy to take him back. It was probably easier having only one parent to manipulate instead of two. IIRC, Casey complained to a friend that George was always trying to tell her how to behave. I can't imagine she was receptive to that. MOO.

Cindy: Who’s fault is, who’s fault is you sitting in the jail? You’re blaming me that you’re sitting in the jail? Blame yourself for telling lies.
Casey: It’s not my fault.
Cindy: You mean it’s not your fault? What do you mean it’s not your fault, sweetheart? If you’d have told ‘em the truth, and not lied about everything, they wouldn’t …

By telling them she was not supposed to meet with them, that she didn't have to meet with them, Casey lets them know they should be grateful she is even speaking with them.

Casey Anthony in New Jailhouse Video: 'I'm So Beyond Frustrated!'
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,480148,00.html
Casey: No, you don't, because you are still asking me if there is anything I can tell you that can help, that I am the one that can do this. I can't.
The opportunity was there that I probably could have helped. I am trying. I was trying. There is nothing more that I can say or do until I'm home, and even then, I do not know what I can do from that point. But I can least do something other than sit on my butt on day and read or look up stuff for my case, because that has to be my focus right now. That has to be my focus-
Cindy: Caylee-
Casey: Mom, if that is my focus, which it is, I can't do anything from here. I do not have access to the Internet. I can't make phone calls. I can't go anywhere.
Unreal, eh? Her focus was not Caylee it was her case...and how she could get away with murder.

at first I thought his "misconduct" accusation was because of the potential 1 on 1 but then I remembered Casey talking about him setting that 1 on 1 up.
Jose's trying his hardest to find misconduct related to this particular visit because he knows how bad his client looks. He'll probably come up with 3 or 4 motions to try to keep this tape out, paralegals working overtime. Just because she talked to her parents against his wishes, if that's true, is not misconduct by the jail IMO. He can forbid her to talk all he wants, but if she does .... nothing he can do. Hopefully she went against his wishes in some way we don't even know about yet.

Maybe I did, and if so, I apologize. I just know there are many posts about people wanting her to be in general pop..and usually there is just one reason for that (oftentimes, stated; other times, implied). So my mind just naturally focused on "a video of that".......so you can see where my mind went.
One thing though, there is more than one reason to want her in gen. pop. There's the 'oooh, you'll get yours now!' reason that I think you were talking about but there is also the 'get your lazy butt off your bed and get to work' one- just look at how Nancy gets upset that casey gets water and chocolate. Apparently that does bug a lot of folks. I'm sure there's other reasons though. I'm just glad she's locked up-no sunshine, no cell, no brownies to be baked.

Keep in mind, this is before the Grand Jury and the discovery of Caylees remains.
If Cindy was this manipulated by Casey then, I have to say that some kind of a major change has taken place in her because the Nasty Obnoxious Cindy that we see now is not what I saw in that video.
I'm going to have to rethink this relationship. Originally, I thought that they all had long lived dirty little secrets that they were holding over each other. Now I am wondering if casey hasn't been driving that anthony bus all along. But Why?

I'm sorry, but I believe so strongly that Casey hated Caylee...she is only concerned about getting out of jail....she has no remorse at all....She is probably hating Caylee all the more right now and blaming her for this whole thing....
If Lenny Padilla hadn't but into this and sprung her out that first time, she just might have broke...

I agree she is cold and hard. She doesn't care about anyone else, and as long as that holds true we will never know the whole truth about what happened to Caylee.
I think she opens that book and looks for things that are self-serving. Whatever. At least she has it open. Maybe some of it will seep into that sponge between her ears.
At this point I really don't think she will break...she may go a little bananas in there but she wont break....she is too cold hearted and has no remorse for what she did...She is a piece of work.....she doesn't deserve anyone to be by her side....she deserves to wallow in her self pity for the rest of her life.....which is what she is going to do....
I totally agree with what you said about her and the bible.....

exactly.
I notice the roles for this family falling into place.
Cindy: Queen Mum, but losing her throne to the Princess. Lots of power struggles there, she raised a Princess but has to fight for control of the power. This time Casey has the best weapon and she's not going to give it up.
Casey: spoiled rotten with emphisis on rotten. Self absorbed, selfcentered, and coniving.
Lee: left out, overshadowed by his mother and sister. Delegated to the role of peacekeeper and secret keeper. Never the center of affection
George: Cindy's whipping boy, Casey's scorn target. Remember the way she felt about George earlier ..from her e-mails and texts and facebook. She dispised him, until she needed him. Cindy will always keep George in his place because he screwed up and now she owns his...donkey.
Casey must've learned at an early age what works with each family member. Guilt and threats (w/Mom), or keeping secrets from the world (w/ Lee), or the threat of losing her temper and her affection (George)
if you look at each of these jailhouse tapes with them embers of her family you can see her work the buttons.
<in my words>
Flirty and on the same team with Lee, angry and resentful with Cindy, playing the wounded little victim with George "but Daddy we've only just reconnected...bateyesbatbatbat... I picked you" "haha Mother, I chose him you horrible woman how dare you question me." " see what happens when you push me too hard Lee, now I've cut you off and you're not on my team anymore".

A while back there was an article that some other poster put up which was written by a body language expert who said that it was her impression that Cindy was jealous of the relationship between Casey and George. Casey selecting her father over her mother for the conference should have been no surprise for Cindy, if she were not deluged with issues. In my opinion, it's almost like a moth beating itself up against a light. She keeps going for more. She just doesn't "get it".
More jealousy. certainly the ugliest of emotions. casey jealous of caylee, even after caylees death at her hands. cindy jealous of George and caseys relationship. Who knows what lurks in the heart of Lee.

She makes it her business to know how that person can be manipulated and used, and, to this end just how her chosen pawn can be flattered and charmed.

I made a like statement earlier and got blasted by mothers who said they would never stop loving their daughter (children) no matter WHAT they had done. But there comes a time when given the right set of circumstances, a parent has to pick self preservation and the good of the family over the child who no longer deserves such love and devotion. I also wanted to say, that if Casey Anthony was their daughter who had allegedly killed their granddaughter, they might change their mind. Just look at the damage that has been inflicted on George and Cindy.... whether you like them or not there has been real damage inflicted here.
I also got somewhat blasted for saying that when Casey get into the general population, that her experience is somehow recorded. Many but not all of us need to see that she is no longer coddled living in a private cell being sheltered from prison life reality. She should be treated just like the rest of the inmates. Would I like for someone to harm her. No, but I wouldn't mind seeing someone place a strip of duct tape across her mouth for awhile. At least it would wipe that smile off her face.

I think when he says he put his nose up to the stain that was during the "cleaning" time and he was seeing if the smell was getting and better as in going away. Because during that part in the video he even says and then stops himself real fast..."I really wish I hadn't..." it left the strong impression that he was going to say clean that car. IMO. I think he tried cleaning the stain and that was when he put his nose to it to see if it was dissipating any.

I was thinking about this last night. In hindsight a really chilling conversation was the one where Cindy asks her "are we in danger?" Silence from Casey. Cindy again asks "are we in danger?" After a pause, Casey just says something like "Let's just leave it at that," suggesting she doesn't want to talk about it.
Supposedly, according to Casey's words, they were in "danger" from the kidnappers .... but in psycho world the real danger was her. She even looks psycho in those still shots from the video last night.

Thinking overnight about this last (lost) jail video~
In Baez, Casey has met what she feels familiar with = a person who lies with ease and
a person that treats/looks/hugs/ her like she's all that n' a bag of chips.
But Baez, the attorney, will drive home after the guilty verdict n' have a nice dinner/evening/ on his boat w friends while Casey shuffles off to the big house.
In this August video, I truly believe Cindy & George knew Casey disposed of a dead Caylee.
Casey knew they knew. That is why she was cutting them off from visits & Baez became her everything. IMO Lee straddled the fence because of pressure from both camps and Casey ("the boss") picked him. Lord knows what they all did after that....

Notice the lack of excitement or any other emotion when she asked that? " Did you find Caylee" was just an aside. :cursing:
She's a good case study, for sure. It's fascinating that she is not capable to realizing that it would be in her best interest to at least ACT interested in finding her Daughter. A true psycho! She doesn't understand normal emotions. Asking Geo why her Mom is crying!!!

Casey does not possess an aspect which most people have that make us legitimately human, and that is an actualized conscience - a voice, a feeling that guides us to do the right action, and not hurt our fellow human beings... I just get sick of the Oh, George was so henpicked, well, poor George couldn't support his family, and was ok with his wife doing so, so if poor little George couldn't hold a job you can bet being henpecked would have been the least of his concerns, and his legs worked, but he would rather mooch off his wife and show Casey its ok to not have any good work ethic, but he just gets pass after pass when its obvious Casey is her Fathers daughter, oh I know, Cindy says to Casey, we are alike, well, its so far from the truth. I think the problem is Cindy gave birth to George junior, meaning Casey, and how does anyone know here George wasn't a wife beater, I sure have seen him lay his hands on female protesters, if anything Cindy has some weird variation of Stockholm Syndrome.
jmo
Well, I can pretty much agree with you up until the wife beater part-definitely not THAT wife anyway, imo. Is it possible that casey got her plan all wrong when she murdered Caylee first? I would think that shw would want to keep Caylee alive as another source of attention and pity at the "loss" of her parents. One at a time, or otherwise. The poor single mommy who lost her parents and that little girl" as I have heard caylee referred to, would have been a perfect draw for the Casey Show.

And if Cindy said ..you don't know how hard it is..then Casey is like..what do you mean..THIS IS ABOUT ME!!!
Casey should be crushed and lethargic and drained..Instead she was sleeping .. ha ha while mom is sick and broken
Casey cares for no one but herself. She couldn't care less about her mother, father or child. It's sickening to watch her.
In one of the early jail interviews, she was the same way. George and Cindy were literally sick with worry and terror. Cindy told her that we have to get Caylee back and George was saying the same thing.
Casey is all about how she wants to be HOME when Caylee comes home, not in jail, not having to wait. It's not about Caylee or George & Cindy. It's all about her.
Always has been and always will be. I wonder if George and Cindy ever watch these tapes and see how she thought of nobody but herself.

The thing is she is not an anomaly at all. There are all kinds of people locked up now at mental hospitals being observed and written about now. And they have been for years but that hasn't slowed things down on the crime boards has it? cindy herself told Ryan that casey was a sociopath (allegedly)-so what gooto add her to some "special list"? Jose's trying his hardest to find misconduct related to this particular visit because he knows how bad his client looks. He'll probably come up with 3 or 4 motions to try to keep this tape out, paralegals working overtime. Just because she talked to her parents against his wishes, if that's true, is not misconduct by the jail IMO. He can forbid her to talk all he wants, but if she does .... nothing he can do. Hopefully she went against his wishes in some way we don't even know about yet.
IIRC, this is the visit where george bites the head off one of the reporters for asking about a "dead" Caylee prior to the visit. During the visit cynthia alludes to this and casey anthony says she heard about it.
I'm wondering if the guard who went to wake sleeping beauty up told her her parents were there and then told her about the confrontation and urged her to see them.

Three guesses where she learned that manipulative tactic from. Remember that interview Cindy did with Megan Kelly on Fox news?
When the interview did not go exactly the way Cindy wanted it to, she threatened to hang up. Megan did not backoff, Cindy hungup in her face and Megan proceeded to hammer Cindy right into the ground, even saying the media was showing more concern for Caylee than her family was.
You are right...but it could be that Cindy picked up that trait from Casey....seeing as it worked with her she might have thought it would work on someone else.....

Cindy and george are using this same tactic with LE.
I suppose it is a family tradition.
Good Morning.
Have any of you ever seen such a disgusting display pf power of a 'child" over her parents? Casey has the anthonys wrapped around her little finger. They are practically bowing down to her. Grateful to see her.
But Why?
I think Casey has been at the helm for quite sometime.
A relative of mine was severely emotionally abused by her husband, he never physically hurt her, but made her fully aware that he could and that she should be grateful to him that he didn't. He told her the reason he did not was because he loved her, that she was lucky. She was belittled, stripped of her self worth and dignity. He controlled her completely. She defended him, she excused him, refused to leave him. When confronted, she became enraged and defended him all the more. Some people in my family stopped contact with her, shaking their heads at her refusal to stand up for herself.
That is what I see when Cindy defends Casey. I see a woman who on the surface appears to control, but underneath I believe is a woman who feels weak, powerless, beaten down and angry at herself, and when confronted about actions of her abuser become her staunchest supporter.
Abuse is insidious.
and no, I do not condone lying and I do not condone breaking the law, and it frustrates me to no end to see her support of Casey. I am not excusing or justifying, merely trying to understand.

I say that because when anyone mentions Caylee she turns it back to herself immediately.

I'm not implying that Casey gives a hoot. I'm just saying there is a little truth into every statement Casey makes.
i.e. "in my gut Caylee is close to home" and she was

Well we do know sent sent a note to the sheriff, strange how George said he could set it that the meeting would not be recorded, that it would be private and no one would ever know what they talked about, That must be why Baez stepped in.

Perhaps this is what baez is referring to when he whines about police misconduct?
ITA with you, this is not misconduct.

I just want her in general pop so she can disabuse herself of the notion that she's 'special', and live like the rest of the criminals.
QUESTION TO SAVANNAH: I know you are now convinced of Casey's guilt. During this latest video, I do feel that Cindy and George were desperate to play to Casey's wants in order to get information about Caylee's whereabouts, because they still had hope (however faint) that she was alive.
But now that they have confirmation of her death and the location of her discarded corpse, what are your thoughts on G&C's continued protestations of their daughter's innocence (per the email to Lois)? I can't muster too much sympathy for them anymore when their outrage isn't pouring out about Caylee's death, but instead Casey's innocence. What are you feeling about them now?
I started to answer this earlier but got booted off. Sorry.
First off, let me set the record straight on one thing. I do not just "now" believe she is guilty. I always did from very early on. I was not, however, 100% convinced until fairly recently that it was murder as opposed to an accidental death. My feelings for Casey have never been very sympathetic. Even IF it were an accidental death, her subsequent cover-up and actions made me very angry and thus wanting to see her punished to the degree she would be if it were premeditated murder.
As to Cindy. The only evidence we've seen (and we haven't really "seen" it) that she believes in Casey's innocence is the alleged Lois email. I have a few thoughts on that. #1, don't know it's true, for fact. #2, if Cindy said that to Lois, I don't think she necessarily believes it. I think the whole bit with Cindy is she doesn't want to admit PUBLICLY or to anyone, what she believes. I think she knows Caylee was killed by Casey. But this is where I differ from most on here: I don't need or want or expect her to come out and state to us that she knows Casey killed Caylee. I think that is her own personal and private hell right now and probably will be for some time.
I'm still very sympathetic to Cindy and George. Sure, people say "they KNEW".......well I think they "knew" but chose to NOT "know." It was just too difficult to face.
I felt really, really bad for Cindy in that Aug. 14 video. She looks and sounds totally beaten and despairing.

This is true, but there are constraints and laws that keep some studies and experiments from being done. Yes, there are lots of them, but studies that would make early detection a better probability would be a good thing.
no, I get that (well, kind of I get that) but then what? There are already signs to look for in children and their family dynamics but how often will a parent want to admit that maybe johnny needs to be watched? When I have seen it it's only because there are other kids in the house that need protecting, and even then those kids learn to take care of themselves and protect the family because that is how it's always been. I think no matter what society will have to rely on the people raising children to do the right thing and you just cannot make people do the right thing. hope that makes sense. i know there are good parents but I also see a lot of moms attached to their cell or computer endlessly-not all moms but there's quite a few out there that I see.

This sounds terrible I know, and smacks of a few infamous doctors and scholars from history, but people like casey need to be taken into a special facility and studied. Prison is one thing, but a government controlled facility where these kinds of anomalies(putting it mildly) could be studied without bleeding hearts complaining about the treatment of its subjects.

MOO.
Isn't this the one that Baez went to court to fight release. And then the State and/or LE decided to withhold for investigative reasons way back when?

What an excellent analysis of the family dynanmics! I believe you are exactly right. From that, we can extrapolate a coherent explanation for all their bizarre behaviors.
As for little Caylee, it is not hard to imagine having witnessed the drama, screaming, yelling, cursing and tantrums was starting to throw a few herself (normal for her age) however I do not see Casey as dealing with it as a mature parent. Most likely Casey's "terrible two's" came out in herself coupled with her murderous rage.
JMO
We all know what will work with each of our parents should we want something or want to confide in them. Who to talk to best about certain things in ones life.
The difference is typically it's for help on something. To get a resolution.
Casey does it to hide behind what she does wrong and plays each of them to come to her defense or to allow her to get her way.

destiny I love ya to death, but do you really think Casey found something or someone she considers bigger than herself?
I'm not destiny, but I want to respond to this. Having a brother who spent the majority of his teen years and young adulthood in a variety of youth detention centers, jail and ultimately prison I can tell you that there are LOTS of prisoners who "find God" while they are incarcerated, only to "lose" him once they are out.
My mother used to fall for his "I've changed, I've found God" routine EVERY time he was incarcerated. The rest of the family saw right through him, but she never did. He knew that if he could convince her that he'd changed, she would let him back into the family home.
I equate cindy's denial of casey's wrongdoing with my mother's continual insistance that my brother had indeed changed.
And I don't believe for a MINUTE that casey has "found God". Not for a minute.

"In the e-mail obtained by Local 6 News, Cindy Anthony wrote to Lois Peter, "As for my daughter, she never hurt Caylee and that will be proven. She loved her deeply."
In August, Peter's 12-year-old granddaughter hosted a candlelight vigil for Caylee in St. Cloud while Casey Anthony was home on bond. Casey Anthony sent the girl a bracelet, a letter and some e-mails, which prompted Peter to unsuccessfully seek a restraining order against Cindy Anthony, who continued to correspond with the girl after Casey Anthony returned to jail.
In recent days, Cindy Anthony and Peter have exchanged biting e-mails, with Cindy Anthony telling Peter that she would not be invited to Caylee's funeral.
Peter responded in an e-mail, saying, "I would not want my granddaughter around a person that condones her daughter killing her own child. At least I know where mine is."

Also did anyone hear why it was stated that Casey was upset/mad with Baez about the last court appearance?
Was she mad he did not have her come right off or that the he could not prevent the judge from ordering her to appear?
We touched on this last night, and it may be that George was telling Casey that he could arrange with LE for an unmonitored visit for just the two of them, where they could talk.

Ok, I'll buy a ticket to the caribbean instead.
I really hope they put the DP on the table.
Oh me too......I was pizzed when they took it off the table...
I don't think she's articulate at all. She used the same words over and over. Her vocabulary is limited in these same words.
I agree. I laughed when she said "she deliberated". I guess she's been reading Law for dummies.

That is creepy......I wonder if he always did that or is that something new?
Maybe that is his way of saying this is where you belong, so you look beautiful, gorgeous.....Or he thinks complements will get him answers?
Not sure but it is odd.............MOO
What the heck "loop" is she talking about. Her network of friends that don't know Zanny? There is no loop to be in regarding Zanny. There is no "hangout" that Zanny is in that anyone will speak of

I'm completely out of the loop.
My attorney is keeping me in the loop on everything that's going on.

Bold is mine. I never called my daughters beautiful or gorgeous but I do call my dog gorgeous. :scared:
