thanks nygal. it is bothering me that that precious baby has not been given a proper burial. the thought of her just there in that awful looking place in a card board box just tugs at my heart. has it even been decided who has the right to her remains. i guess i'm just really behind. sorry for all the questions i'm sure have been discussed over and over.:confused:

I believe that was the very first time that Casey has ever acknowledged that she was Caylee's "mother".....it seemed to affect her....But these tapes were before the arrest for murder one.....

Also, I would just like to say that...I still do not believe this "Hoover" guy....I think that he and Lenny Padella cooked this whole thing up.....JMO.....JMO

You are so right...they have absolutely no reason to hold this body up this long....They should put this poor child to rest right now.....

Casey is such a piece of work...nothing will ever make her think about her daughter.....it is and always was all about Casey.....

And that Henry Lee saying that it is best to wait rather then to have to exume the body....What is he talking about? What is left but bones?....They have all the pictures they need and all the samples they need.....

I noticed that also Barbara, and it was very faint, you could barely hear her say it. I hope that LE has DC's cell phone numbers so they can see who he was talking to, it will be a huge break in the case if he was talking to any of the Anthony's at that time, and it did seem from the same area because of the No Trespassing sign there. jmoo

When his show came on, GR said they had received a call from the owner of the tape demanding a "king's ransom" to show it on air. GR declined. They were allowed to watch the video in the studio so he and his guests, inclduing LKB, watched the video and described it to viewers as they were watching.

It was pathetic. IMO

Caylee! Always on my mind!
I miss Caylee......she is such an angel! What a cute video with the book!
Since the day Erika has been pregnant I often think about the times we will visit O-Town over the years and get to walk down the street to visit a place so familiar to me! A walk I have made thousands of times. A lifetime of memories to be shared with the next generation. I only wish there was something I could do from so far away to ensure this dream come true my next visit. I can only hope and pray all of this passes quickly and Casey comes to her senses! So we all can return back to our lives with some peace, knowing our next visit will be a joyous occasion as it should be!
I miss the whole fam! So, next time I see ya George, Cindy, Lee, Casey, and Caylee hugs r on me!

These people have no shame, none at all. The remains have bee released for at least a week I think, and the 2nd autopsy has been done for a while, they were waiting on film to be developed, or so Henry Lee said. Guess they never heard of CVS 1 hour photo. It's all just a ploy so that the A's can work out a deal with someone. IMO

It was also said that the district attorney has almost no option but to give them some sort of immunity otherwise they will just get up on the stand and plead the 5th. The question was then could Cindy take credit for killing Caylee once she has immunity and the answer was "yes". However, I do not believe for one minute that the DA will not find a legal way to make sure that will not happen.

I mean this in no way disrespectful of the dead but the way I was raised, and according to my personal religious beliefs which is Christian... One side Catholic and one side Baptist so I understand the idea of praying for the dead but also not. I guess I lean heavily towards Baptist now in my older days. So bear with me while I explain... Catholics believe that purgatory would require prayers for Caylee to enter heaven. Baptists would believe she is already in heaven.

I think both religions believe that the body was merely a shell, which inhabits nothing anymore. Therefore a funeral is not for Caylee it is for the living to have closure so that they may properly grieve. It is a difficult thing to reconcile even with a strong belief in religion.

BUT for some people they can not separate their beliefs from their instinctual emotions which is that "Caylee" doesn't deserve to be unburied, or can not rest in peace until then etc. Or they do not believe in religion to begin with. None of that I am judging as bad, it is just different beliefs.

My husband and I are of both the same religious backgrounds yet for him the burial, cemetery etc is significantly important. He couldn't believe that visiting loved ones cemetery plot was not as significant to me as him. But I have witnessed many more deaths in my family from a young age than he has and we were taught as children that our loved one was in heaven, their body nothing anymore. The significance was placed on celebrating that fact and not dwelling on it. My family does not visit the graves, or mourn on anniversaries. He was raised different and only had experience with two deaths. One being before he could even understand.

I think he could easily be held in contempt and even charged with perjury if he changes his testimony from the grand jury or even his sworn statements to police. I think though that he can refuse to testify by invoking his 5th amendment rights but I also believe his grand jury testimony can be read to the court if he refuses to testify. I have heard of that being done before. Katprint is our legal eagle and she knows better, I am sure. I hope she is around today to answer this.

I also want to say that if anyone needs prayers it is the Anthonys...they need all the prayers they can get to finally accept what Casey has done and IMO we could pray that Casey would do the right thing and admit her guilt.

GR does not care. Last night he was talking about Kronk's "shady past" and wondered if it would hurt his credibility. He asked Linda KB if they would use his shady past to hurt his credibility on the witness stand. She said they had not discussed this yet. When his show came on, GR said they had received a call from the owner of the tape demanding a "king's ransom" to show it on air. GR declined. and LE said: 'we already know she went all over with your JC Penny Card.'

Absolutely Celtic. Yesterday, for those that missed it, during the weekend live show, geraldo rivera said that Roy Kronk was charged with "rape." THAT WAS A LIE and the anchor had to return after rivera's spot, withdraw the comment and make a correction

Correct I think they were in the batch that Baez hadn't paid the $900+ for so they didn't get released to the public. On the 12th tape Kronk does say "we" twice on his tape recording. So who knows if he was directed there by someone. It will all come out in the wash if he was or wasn't IMO.

Last night when I watched another taped visits, I noticed that at the very end, when Casey was telling Lee that "the public has only heard from the grandparents and the uncle" she paused for a period and said just above a whisper, they need to hear from "her mother". I believe that was the very first time that Casey has ever acknowledged that she was Caylee's "mother".....it seemed to affect her....But these tapes were before the arrest for murder one.....

I believe they thought they loved Caylee but when it came down to it they chose to stand by their daughter in covering up Caylee's death...To me that does show with whom they were more concerned about, and that would be Casey......

Casey belongs where she is and will get her due punishment.....no way is she getting off of this....and she knows it.....The way I see this, is that there is love for Caylee ( one thing), love for Casey ( another, seperate thing), and love of themselves/fear of being shamed as bad people/parents ( a third thing also seperate from the others).
When push comes to shove, Casey and Caylee MIGHT have been given equal "weight" and support under other circumstances, but as the concern for themselves and how they are percieved also falls in line with "protecting" Casey...Caylee just didn't matter MORE to them than the other factors. Two out of three "factors" have driven their current actions to the exclusion of consideration of the third (Caylee...protecting her memory, honoring her, finding justice) IMO.

I don't think this is a thought out decision by any means. I think it is purely self preservation and reaction based upon years of habit. I can't agree with or really understand the idea of your desire to be "right", or your self image of being a "good" parent driving you more than your desire to protect a child...but then I'm not much like either George OR Cindy in any way. I've seen people who ARE so wrapped up in their image and their needs that they come before anything else, and plenty of them are parents.
In my world, children don't cease to matter because they are deceased....and you don't break the law or dishonor others to protect someone who harmed a child. I HAVE been in the position of turning in family members ( including my own mother), and I've never regretted doing so even though the child wasn't protected in the end. I did the right thing, and I have to accept that I had no control over the outcome. Though it was heartbreaking, at least I don't have the additional guilt of knowing I didn't TRY.
I have no doubt that Casey will meet the punishment she deserves one day...there is no escaping looking your maker in the "eye"...she can hide out from court and earthly justice all she likes!
I plan to work each day to end up with a life that lets me meet God's gaze with joy instead of fear....and I pray that ALL of this family can someday begin doing the same.

Why hasn't there been any statement from Conway on the Anthony's behalf if they have recieved word that there will be no charges?....and frankly, why aren't they out and making their support of Casey public while we are musing about what's REALLY going on behind the scenes? I'll take anything I hear from a TH on television or reporters with a grain of salt. Some of it PROBABLY is true, most of it in fact....but I'd doubt that D'Onofrio's source is so high up that he/she knows everything going on not only with the local LE/SA but with the FBI as well.

Bratlings? i heard about the charges...and the expungement ( for all of the good THAT did!)...but I heard nothing about a grand jury, and i'm trying to figure out why one would have been necessary at any rate.
I was under the impression that the charges were either dropped or recanted.

I think people in that neighborhood said the water didn't recede until a couple of weeks before Mr. Kronk found the remains. Also wouldn't the other meter readers that covered for him during the months he wasn't there be able to confirm if the water was still up or not? Also what about the county or city people who mow the areas alongside the road, not to mention everyone that passes by that way every day going back to the school? I think it's a little bit of both. Not wanting to be taped and the tape broadcast for the world to see, as well as not wanting to face Casey, their anger at her.

But odd in a way, because if they came out and said how angry they are at their daughter, that would go a long way to help soften the public perception of them, don't you think? Isn't that what "we" (generic we, message board posters) have been hoping would happen?....that they would come to accept the fact that Casey killed Caylee, and be angry with her?

YES YES YES. That is exactly what I think. I think they all have a hand in something really bad and they are all playing games w/each other.

This is a strange theory but I really did wonder. Maybe something happened to Caylee in that house on the 15th, they all agreed to bury the baby in the back yard.. Casey being Crazy Casey stole the body and ran off on the parents.. The parents didn't know the body was gone til they got the car back... Cindy made the 911 call because she was ticked w/Casey about it, and figured that since Caseys car was the one that smelled, they could all just blame this whole thing on Casey and be rid of her... Only Cindy changed her mind once she got over her mad spell and thought about it a little bit....Just a crazy theory my imagination came up w/. This case drives me nuts. I can't figure it all out. I want to explain why Cindy called the cops on Casey that night and why the weird jailhouse conversations..

So do you think his supervisor could be the "we" Kronk mentions in the 911 call? I firmly believe he was not out there by himself. The first call he made he was not at the "scene" he made it after he had left. The second call he made at 9 pm at night. The 3rd call he made when he went there to show the deputies what he was talking about.

The area did not necessarily need to be flooded either. As T. Miller said the ground was so soft in some areas he was worried about pushing evidence into the mud. There are a lot of mushy marshy areas in Florida like that, and that alone will keep most people out. Maybe it was flooded or just so wet that nobody wanted to enter it?

At any rate....I believe that water....and animals moved parts of the body away....It could have been that people walking in that area <PIs and such> disturbed some more. That is a very good point. You would think that a young 22 year old woman who had never been in jail before would call her parents and ask them to get her a lawyer, she wouldn't take the advice of another inmate!

Well, so that's the story. He came on request from an old girlfriend, who, it seems, was in a relationship with a controlling guy, and Roy got caught in the middle. Having the taint of a "kidnapping" arrest, though expunged, is unfair enough; that our dear Geraldo had to go and ratchit it up, "mistakenly" calling it former "rape" arrest, and not correct himself until after a commercial, is truly vile.

I think that it is interesting to hear the different views of one another.
It does not shake my faith if another's faith is different.
I really hope that we can respect one another and our differences.

Here is my take on the candles.
I feel that it is a positive thing to do for those who choose to participate.
Every single person who lights a candle may have a different perspective on why they do it.
I have my own personal beliefs on what difference it makes to Caylee.
I am not going to state my beliefs as I don't think that it would be helpful to this board.

On the other hand, there is the what lighting candles does for me.
It is a quite, contemplative action.
I like to light a candle and say a prayer in order to remind myself that this is about Caylee.

The candles help me to keep my focus on her.

Maybe they are in such a state of shock and disgust that they want nothing to do with her right now. That would be understandable to me. She did the unthinkable, after all, what can you say to that? They've been silent for a while now. I imagine they have done A LOT of screaming, crying and introspection while at home, the two of them. What could they possibly say to her? "Why, Casey, why?" Maybe it just doesn't even matter to them. The worst is done......there's nothing to say.

Dysfunctional Family? I never thought mine was until I grew up and looked back on it, I thought it was normal. I do agree with you that the Anthony's are trying to grasp all of this. If other people can't grasp it, how could they? How could they understand that their daughter would have killed their precious granddaughter, her very own daughter? Even if they choose to believe it was an accident, they still have to deal with the fact that Caylee was tossed in the woods in a garbage bag to rot. I am sure this family is filled with mixed emotions.

I've tried to put myself in the Anthony's shoes (an impossibility to do so completely, because I've never had this type of tragedy happen to me). I think I would avoid seeing my daughter face-to-face (i.e. in court) at this point because I probably would want to kill her. I think my rage and grief would be uncontrollable. That's if of course I didn't know about it all along.

....In general...If somebody has done something heinous like that...it turns from hurt to anger.....Maybe they are better off not seeing that girl. I know unless the glass between us was plexiglass...I would be all over her!

Oh yeh. And if you stop to think of it, their total silence has been since the body was found. How awful for them! It must have been the watershed moment, no more denial. I think they are filled with despair, shame, humiliation, anger, every debilitating emotion we can imagine.

I remember discussions so long ago where many posters were saying that if and when the body was found Cindy would just say, no it isn't really Caylee, "DNA lies." I didn't think that would happen, no way. And it hasn't. They know it is Caylee, and they know their daughter killed her. Their worst suspicions (even if subconscious, which I believe) are now reality. How does one possibly deal with that? I have no clue. I think I'd be silent too, though. That is just too much to bear in public.
