I voted no because I don't think it's fair to the people who live there. Maybe they don't want to be reminded of the horror everytime they write their address or turn into their street at the end of a long day. jmo.

No. How about getting her the proper burial she deserves first?

I say NO. I can't even imagine anyone living there agreeing with this idea.

I voted no because I don't think anything positive can come from such a name change.
I would rather see new laws enacted, in Caylee's name, which would prevent anyone connected to the Defense, from profiting from victims. This includes deriving proceeds from books written or movies made about the case in exchange for payment for services rendered.

ITA with all the other above 'no' answers, and furthermore, would YOU like to live on a street named that? I would think it would be a real drag to have to write all that out as your home address, for starters. And having to put the name of your street on forms, etc? No way. I like to hand address and hand write return address on my christmas cards. Ugh.
No way I could do that with THIS street name. Everytime you have to give your street address to anyone- you will prob. hear, "oh, is that the street CAYLEE lived on?" I think that would get pretty old after awhile. I am sure there is more than one Hopespring Drive around, if someone said oh is that....? you could say NOPE and thet would be the end of it. Not so if your street was Caylee Anthony Memorial drive.
Those neighbors have been through enough trauma thanks to the Anthonys, re-naming their street after Caylee would not sit well.
Name a little park after her or something. Let the public plant flowers there, etc. Way more appropriate, IMO.

I voted no, for all the reasons everyone else has already listed and probably for some I haven't had a chance to consider yet.
Some voted yes, I wonder what their reasons are.
wondering?

No, no street naming, a nice little park, an addition to a playground with a plaque in her memory maybe, but no street.

No, not necessary.

No. As a society we cannot name streets for every person who dies. I think that notion is absurd. The streets already have names. Ridiculous to turn the nation into a giant memorial. We have cemeterys for that purpose.

We have to have peace at the end of this long journey. I know your heart is in the right place, but there's a time to move on.....
Best,
Well said.

I voted "No" as well. Do the people in that area really need a reminder of what Casey did to her child? Do they really need a reminder that that poor child's remains were there in those woods near the house for so long?
George, Cindy and Lee are going to have their own reminder of that beautiful little girl who is gone. They will have Casey to remind them of the horror. They don't need a street.

Best reason so far. I'm with you---NO.

This is a terrible idea, imo, which I hope goes no farther than this thread, quite frankly.

No. Caylee is a little child who was murdered, that's not a reason to name a street after someone. Unless every abused, neglected or murdered child gets a street named after her/him, why single out Caylee?
