I believe G&C BOTH knew Caylee was dead when they smelled the car. I think they knew they could no longer help Caylee, but they still had Casey who is still their daughter (flesh & blood)and they knew they could do nothing further to help Caylee. I think from that point on they put all their effort into trying to help Casey by throwing up smoke screens (blaming others and insisting there was no death and no crime). Baez appeared to be building a defense that since the body had not been found, they believed Caylee was still alive and no murder had taken place. As long as the body was not found they could keep up the pretense of searching for a live Caylee. At Casey's trial they were hoping that would persuade jurors there was reasonable doubt about Caylee's death. I also think this was mainly Cindy's idea and George went along with it, but reluctantly. They had already lost one, Caylee, and they didn't want to lose another one too, Casey. I don't condone what they did, but I think I understand their motives.

I know that a lot of people believe that G&C have been in denial and didn't want to believe their daughter could do such a monstrous thing, but I've always had the impression that they actually did believe it all along. I don't believe they've ever been in denial. I think they knew the moment they smelled the car and went into protective mode for Casey and tried to clean up the mess she was in as they've always done. I think they pretended to be in denial in an effort to help Casey's defense. The main thing that gave me this impression is the fact that George is so horrible at acting.

I don't think he looked at Larry once, and just something about the way Cindy never took her hand off of Georges. It was confirmed for me that night, when he said that opposite of what he told LE that he knew something he didn't want to know.

I think the defense has no case and will go after everyone, that is the way Cindy would do it. Baez wanting the TES searchers( can you see him calling hundreds of them to testify where they searched) The MR and his past, the man with video, Wonder if he has checked the background of the man at tow yard. Guess he had no record or Baez would have leaked it already. I think there will be lots of AHA moments at the trial, but I think they will come from the prosecutions side.

Why in the world is that necessary in order to prove Casey murdered Caylee? Isn't that what we're discussing? You seem to be concentrating on Cindy and George. If you were the prosecutor and you wanted to talk about the alleged fight on the 15th, that's all that's necessary. Throw in a bunch of "he said one thing, she said another thing" and you're muddying the waters. I think your dislike of Cindy/George is clouding your thoughts on how the trial should proceed. Unless you're talking about a different trial altogether....where you see THEM on trial....

This is why it's so obvious that they believe kc is GUILTY.

They can say for months that they thought Caylee was alive after smelling death in the car, then they suddenly believe in the invisible nanny, and that someone else killed little Caylee.

IMO, ALL defense attorneys tell their clients to shut up so that doesn't surprise me in regards to Casey not talking.

I think the ones leading the Ants down the daisy trail, and telling Geo. the kidnappers were being watched (where did all the daisies come from?) was Casey and KidFinders et al, IMO. It was to KF's benefit to make the Ants believe Caylee was alive and pay for the PI that was employed through them to investigate the sightings and leads, etc. of a live Caylee. I don't think Baez would put that out, because it could hurt his career, because he would then be obstructing justice--he is still an officer of the court, if he told anyone that his PI's had the 'kidnappers' being watched, he would be up to his neck with the BAR.

The A's were with Casey from day one...they did not need convincing. George knew what death smelled like, he told the FBI that he knew, IMO, the A's realized Caylee was dead, and they followed advice of Baez, like the continued media apperances with pictures of Caylee sightings...That is also why I believe that they wanted immunity before their plane even landed the day the remains were found.

But fact of the matter none of that is really relevant to this question: did Casey Anthony murder Caylee Anthony? And that is what this trial will be all about.

I agree, but again, they are going to have to impeach witnesses that will or could be lying to 'protect' their daughter, and such statements can be used for that purpose.

I guess I didn't make myself clear. This all started a number of posts ago....joking around with questions that could be asked at trial. Most of them were questions for Cindy and George, about their words/actions. I simply stated that none of that would be relevant to the trial .... the questions that were posed on HERE, earlier. I am a grandparent and I have no sympathy for the Anthonys. I would like to see them held accountable for their lies. Explain why they searched their own backyard looking for a live Caylee? Often in cases where a major player is incredible, the pros will make the case around them with other corroborating evidence if they can. If they can't, then the immunity deal might have to come in. It does the prosecution no good to call them if they're just going to assert their 5th amendment right or if they get impeached or torn up by counsel.

Willow this is once case I not only will not assume anything, I will not even guess what will or will not happen. So far this case is wierdest one I have ever followed. And I have read some really strange books about real crime and none of them hold a candle to what we already know. And we are not any where near the trial yet. A friend saw a woman drive out of parking lot with her purse on top of her car. IT fell off before she got out of parking lot, he followed her, blowing his horn and finally she stopped at a grocery store parking lot. When he approached her car with her purse she cursed him out for STEALING her purse and called 911. The police were sympathetic and listened to his, his wife and 2 daughters story and thanked him while woman wanted him arrested. The woman was furious and turned anger on policeman. My friend will never try to help again and I do not blame him.

There's similar stories of good samaritans in news over the years. One that stands out is a woman saw a shooting and called 911. She called one day during the hearing saying she might be late. (4 children and no babysitter). She made it on time to the hearing, the judge threw her in jail for contempt. Fines, jail time, etc. and all she did was try to help. The story was in the news and she said never again would she try to help. Of course the justice system didn't like that and tried to backpedal. Was a protest on courthouse steps with citizen outrage. If they want good people to help the justice system should stop blaming them as if they're the criminals. It is no wonder people don't want to help.

But just a regular person that goes to a professional photographer owns only the prints that they purchase from that photographer.

If the photographer takes a picture of someone on the street for instance he/she would have to obtain a signed release from that person before they could use it.

But the photographer always owns the originals such as negatives or images from a digital shot.
