Probably not.

IMO the money being made off of the exploitation of Caylee's image belongs to Caylee's estate. I am aware that no probate case has been opened yet, but every decedent has an estate even if that estate is small or consists only of debts or of potential claims against other people, for example, the right to file a wrongful death lawsuit. The way that Casey would get money from "all things Caylee" would be to inherit Caylee's estate.

I think that Casey will be disqualified from inheriting based on the Florida slayer statute. Even if Casey is not convicted "beyond a reasonable doubt" in the criminal case, the slayer statute would still apply if she "more likely than not" (preponderance) killed Caylee.

If Casey is disqualified from inheriting, then the money in Caylee's estate would not be available to pay civil claims against Casey by ZFG, Amy, Target, Bank of America, or anybody else.

However, I think that Part Two of the ZFG case will be a lawsuit against Jose Baez (and Casey) for malicious prosecution based on the frivolous cross-complaint. Baez may not be as judgment-proof as Casey although I expect his poor wife and kids would be the ones who really end up footing the bill.

I agree but I don't think ZFG was a "random name". I believe in coincidences, but one of this magnitude is not a "coincidence", if it is Casey should have bought a lottery ticket before she was incarcerated. She somehow was so lucky in picking the name and exact apt. looked at by ZFG around that time period. Doesn't pass the mustard test. I will always go back to Lee's statement to LE that "CASEY staked out the apt's for a long time" waiting for ZFG to return with CAYLEE. I believe she staked out the apt. but it wasn't for CAYLEE it was for a name to be used as a perp....

don't forget she had no job, she was living right across the street in Ricardo's apartment for a while. All she had to do was stroll around the
parking lot looking for anything she could use, maybe she saw ZFG's car and it was unlocked.

ITA! This ruling has more to do with the Judge in the case then it is a win for Baez. The judge saw the case for what it was and IMO protected Casey's right more then her lawyer. He fumbled it right from the gate. Baez won by default certainly not because he presented it correctly.

I know she has the advice of her lawyer.
THen she has dad most likely telling the truth, as he knew it, to the GJ.
Then you got mom's statement of not caring where Casey was, only being concerned where Caylee was. I recall her mom wanting the truth even if it meant her daughter stayed in jail. Although she did not want to accept the truth..its there.

I think one of the saddest parts of this whole thing... (other than the obvious)..is that George put it out there in the Jailhouse visit that he felt guilty for 'being too tough' on Casey .
I know what it is like to feel guilt when your kid messes up, but I don't think you should. That is at the root of what causes a parent to lie to cover for their child... Facing up to their own sense of failure. I have learned alot over the last 30 yrs of parenting.
They are searching for the reason why just like we are, and I don't think there is ever a pat answer. Of course they will choose to believe whatever satisfies them, whatever they can live with, just like I will eventually.

Any suggestions for what site to watch for the 1:30 hearing? The one I was listening to this morning (WFTV, I believe) kept freezing every 10 minutes, and I would have to refresh, then listen to 15-20 seconds of some advertisement. LOL - it was very annoying...

I didn't get that from SayWhat's post. What I understood her to say is that any child would be in danger if Casey was allowed to procreate again and by the Anthony's actions in this sordid mess -- they aren't suitable to raise a child either.

Caylee did turn into damaged goods thanks to being left in Casey's care. Look where she is at now. :( No other child should have to endure that same fate.

If Caylee lived -- who knows what she would have done in life? A lot of people raised in negligent (and abusive) homes turn out okay... if they live to adulthood, at least.

They might possibly be charged with a crime themselves involving this case, and even if they arent charged juvenile court does not have any standard equal to criminal court. All that is required is a preponderance of their guilt, that means 51% guilty and they would NEVER get custody. Not in a million years!

Caylee had a little something special about her, too. A sensitivity I haven't seen in the other A's. I've watched that video of her with Cindy's father dozens of times. She seems so concerned and loving with him. I have the sense she was an extra special little person.
