Any news about when the defense is going to get the 2nd autopsy done? (anyone..!?)

Watching the FBI/George Anthony interview tapes is amazing. It's the first I've had opportunity to watch them. They're pretty boring. George kind of drones on about nothing in much of it. I'm glad the agent asked him why they didn't check into casey's activities since they both knew she had no job, no nanny, no money, not paying bills, but stealing, lying, stealing, lying for a long period of time. no baby, just more lies.
He's not so forthright with an answer but starts out with my wife wanted me to hold back

Not that I know of. Looked it up yesterday and the last news article on that is old news.

I just re watched the August 3 jail house visit with George.
I am tired and cried my eyes out.
How heartbreaking.
The truth should have been told long ago. It is so sad.

Bringing this over because it is worth watching again. If you are into Cindy watch this 8/29 Casey was released first time on 8/21 and it's the same day Tim Miller showed up the first time. http://www.wftv.com/video/17334271/index.html
It is very interesting now that we know what became of poor Caylee. She was around the corner and Cindy is blaming everyone but Casey once again. I really recommend watching this with a new set of eyes. IMO

I really, really hope I was wrong when I posted long ago my suspicion that Casey would refuse to sign a consent to bury Caylee. Casey is running out of things she can control; my gur says a woman low enough to murder a child and toss her out like trash is low enough to refuse to bury that child. If she holds out I'm not sure anybody can do anything about it, at least until Casey is convicted.

She's full of it, just like Casey.
Another thing -- Cindy seemed to be annoyed by the thought of "stupid questions" and got testy when Greta asked Qs about Casey b/c of course she wanted to spend the time talking about Caylee, but for a lot of the interview - Cindy was talking about her sleeping habits and her own mental health and exhaustion.. not Caylee.
Like I said -- I am so glad they have zipped it.

I don't think she would refuse because I don't think she will act in such a way while people are looking. She likes to play the innocent, victim not the bad guy and she knows what kind of light that would cast her in. MOO.

Don't forget Casey likely does not think like a normal person. Casey doesn't care what anybody else thinks. Can you really not envision Casey spinning a lie to cover her bases? They come so easy for her, I can hear it now: "I know I will eventually be found not guilty - the truth will come out - and as her mother I need to be there when my darling Caylee is laid to rest. Caylee would want it that way. My parents agree and will support me in this."

George answered very few questions directly and completely, imo. I couldn't figure out whether he was being cagey mostly, or whether he didn't understand the questions, or whether he lost his train of thought alot. I think I decided it was a combination of the 3 things, but primarily, he was being cagey when he was indirect with his answers. Imo, etc.
I get those mixed feelings when I listen to him too. It's a very sad case. They're in a terrible position but honestly the charade has continued so long. The FBI knows their stories have been conflicting. Nothing easy about it, but truth would be the best path. I think this is just how they live. Not that they've ever faced anything this tragic until now. They're like the sump, confuse and confound gang. You know sometimes when people do that and put out so many spin stories it makes it hard to investigate, harder to prove. They know they're doing it. The law knows they're doing it. So do the onlookers. I just hope the jurors aren't confused by their antics. (meaning inconsistencies as they call it)

Yeah, I CAN see her doing it this way, now that you mention it, lol. I thought you meant her just saying, "Too bad so sad, I'm not going to let her be buried." What a monster.

Interesting that she mentions Tim wanting to look in a retention pond and how she insists that she doesn't want anyone looking in places like retention ponds for a dead Caylee. Meanwhile Caylee is in a bag in a de facto retention pond just a few hundred yards down the road but we don't want them looking, do we Cindy?:cuss:
It's such a shame someone couldn't just get her to calm down and be quiet.

well thank you.
I don't even have a desire to dissect it anymore.
It is just a pure tragedy all the way around.
Cindy & George and Lee did whatever they did...but Casey truly nearly killed her parents with this and may well yet succeed.
I just want the truth about what happened..even if it isnt the whole truth. A pinch of truth would good at this point
I don't even care anymore what was done after the fact..immunity..doesnt even matter. I really will be surprised if the parents are charged with anything though. Truly I will be here with my mouth dropped open.

Baez thought he was so ESTEEMED by everyone!
Showing up with Henry Lee and the rest of those "esteemed" colleagues expecting to get the red carpet to walk on in and "help" when Caylee's remains were found - SLAPDOWN.
Asking to be notifyied before the ME released a definitive ID - SLAPDOWN.
Several emergency motions - SLAPDOWN
Actually today was SLAPDOWN SLAPDOWN between the "team" taking one on the chin from the Zanieda defamation case to the limiting of pics.
I bet he needs a sedative.
Baez will need a lobotomy before this nightmare ends. We should really take this to the new thread, but he reminds me of a sleazy ambulance chaser...right down to all the touchy-feely with his client. UGH. I hope the real Zenaida prevails - before the criminal trial!
I hope she does to but calling Casey out before trial will be interesting to hear what she has to say.
Is she sticking with the Zenaida story as a real person. Will she crack her code that Zanny was really code for other nefarious individuals as Cindy claims? Will she take the fifth and literally forfeit?

For their own sake they should try for a quiet life as possible when the trial's over. I'm watching George admit to FBI agents he knew the smell in the trunk was decomp and that he was hoping it wasn't his grandaughter. Once the positive ID was back from the DNA in his trunk he had to know. If he didn't know the day he fetched the car from the tow yard. It's layers of tragedy. I don't know what words to use to describe it.
I believe the anthony grandparents know their dtr murdered their grandaughter. Grief of course but I wonder if they're still in denial. It's gone on for so long with so much evidence against her. Lying is dangerous when you begin to believe your own lies. Their health will break down if they continue.

Have you seen anything reporting how much money the Anthonys have made from donations and the sale of copyrighted pictures, etc? I certainly hope they come out of their grief long enough to get a good accountant...would hate to see them stuck with a large tax bill on all that income come April 15th!!! Hope they paid some estimated tax payments.

If nothing else I would think this would clue people to stay quiet in a situation like this. Help from the media to help find a missing child, yes. That's all and good. But all the talking they've done outside that is unbelieveable. They've let the media interrogate them as if they're on the witness stand. They've answered questions they couldn't have possibly known the answers to. Cindy just stood outside her house and told all the news reporters what the condition of the car was weeks before she says she had access to it. She tells SO many things she has no way of knowing. Who the baby's father is for one. Was she there? No! But she tells media she knows.
I don't believe I've ever seen family carry on like this in a similar situation. Mark & Lori Hackings family is a good comparison.
No doubt they love their dtr and loved their grandaughter. But they have harmed their dtr's case beyond repair in my opinion. The opposite of what they intended. I guess they finally procured a lawyer they listened to and are finally quiet.

... and because Casey does not think like a normal person, she has no idea just how much people hate a baby killer. Hopefully, this will be her undoing when it comes to sentencing.

I haven't seen actual figures but other posts indicate $200,000 - $250.000. I don't know how they arrived at this so take it for what it's worth. From my understanding the brunt of this is home footage and pics of the House of Anthony.
I had my head spinning posting about copyrights, trademarks, licensing and screwed it up pretty bad. WHERE WERE YOU, YOU ALWAYS NO WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT and can decipher what I'm saying LOL!
But I digress, my point is several posters looked up the above and came up with nothing issued (well not the licensing) but the copyrights, trademarks. Of course possible pendings or they've just pretended and added the little tm and C symbols to whatever they wanted.

Can you take the 5th in a civil matter? I hope the civil case answers some of my questions: did Zenaida drive a car to the Sawgrass apartments that day? Was anything in or missing from her car that had her name on it? Zenaida Gonzalez looking at an apartment at Sawgrass at the time when Casey said she left Caylee with someone by that name at those apartments, is too much of a coincidence for me to believe Zenaida should prevail in her suit.

Good point, Neffy. If Casey lived in a fantasy world before, she's definitely living in one now, with almost no outside interference to bring her back to reality. No way Baez is telling her anything she doesn't want to hear, imo.
Can you imagine how shell shocked she'll be when this finally gets to trial? She'll walk right off Fantasy Island into a courtroom and come face to face with a prosecution team that will definitely snap her back to reality.
You'd have to have some fantasy island going on in your head to keep yourself occupied in a jail cell. She thinks she's going to get off. I don't think the courtroom will rattle her one bit. Remember when Scott Peterson said he was excited to be at San Quentin. I think that's similar to how this one will act too. I don't think she'll ever act rattled.

What happens when even a "real" tax non-profit goes out of business and the left over money goes into someone's pockets? Even if the non-profit "paid" the Anthonys a fee to cover their living expenses, I doubt they thought to pay income taxes on it. I can't imagine living expense reimbursement because our granddaughter was kidnapped/murdered is a legitimate tax deduction. George's email scam will seem like nothing compared to an IRS auditing of those books.

OMG. I recently read Lee's interview. He said the cops took a white ID out of Casey's billfold so fast that he couldn't see what it was, but he knows it was an all-white ID card of some type. It was behind Casey's drivers license. Do you suppose...
OH nice connect! Especially in light that the cop didn't even ask them or show them what she'd taken. That really stood out not asking them to verify that small folded paper or card.

I think we'll get the truth eventually. Perhaps more of it than we can really handle.
I want justice to be served for Caylee. I don't care about the Anthonys, any of them. I would just like to see punishment for any crimes that were committed. It won't bring Caylee back, but it will just have to do.
I don't forsee ever knowing the truth but it will be close.
We can photoshop and age enhance Casey pic and cut/paste it over Diane Downs sitting behind that table on her last parole hearing.

it was because of the countersuit Casey filed against Zenaida.... something about a sword and a shield. since she filed the countersuit, she is not allowed to take the Fifth. her oh-so-experienced-attorney BLEW IT BIG TIME by filing that!!!! :tonguewag:

I thought it was odd, given all the things that the cops DIDN'T take that night (or let the Anthonys take out of the billfold). That they pointedly didn't let Lee see what it was or ask anyone about it. But it was clear Casey had already given LE the name Zenaida Gonzalez Fernandez as the kidnapper.

Some people are just arrogant, egotistical and self-centered. They're too into themselves to see beyond themself.
I wonder if the irony was lost on Greta as well. Here Cindy is complaining about the media asking stupid Qs and talking about the wrong things, yet Cindy spent most of her allotted time discussing herself, not Caylee.
I don't think it was lost on Greta at all. Greta let her talk. Left it for the viewers to formulate their own opinions. It was my impression it was all Greta could do at the end of the interview to keep from rolling her eyes. Some other talking head was in a seperate window and they went to that right away. They both got it.

There was something in past new articles that the lawyer put a stop to the family visiting openly due to the recorded conversations. I've seen people on the boards saying they think they're passing notes since then. Who knows. At any rate it's not Casey's idea to not talk to mom & dad. It's the lawyers. For obvious reasons of trying to build a defense for her. They've all already said way too much.
In the jailhouse visits in the beginning one ex-law enforcement said she didn't know why people don't grasp that everything's being recorded because it's posted prominently right in front of their faces before they sit down to chat with their incarcerated family or friend. People don't read signs she said. anyway I think the open visits stopped for that reason. Lawyers advice.

Just thinking here.. If the judge doesn't stay the hearing for civil suit, and casey is found guilty in the murder case because of what she says ( which i doubt very much she'll open her mouth) can that be a supreme court case? What I mean is can the verdict be over turned and new trial for casey because of it?

You know it's really too late (in my neck of woods) to have to think this hard, but I'll take a stab at it. Hope I am understanding your ?.
IF casey says something incriminating at the depo and it's used against her in the criminal case I really don't see how that could be grounds for an appeal to the Supreme court. How would this be much different than if she told someone the details of the murder and they came forward and testified against her in the criminal trial.

I can't know what's in any of their minds, but I know it's common sense to not discuss a case beforehand. Especially with those on the witness list. Yes, George expressed to FBI in interview video that it's extremely frustrating.
You'd think they'd know not to talk about the case since he was in law enforcement. Even their weird code-seeming talk could be used against her. Why do you think visits wouldn't be released now since they were in the past? If I were sitting in jail & they released prior visits I would believe they'd continue to do so.

Cindy Anthony: My thoughts are a lot clearer now than they were that night that I made three 911 calls. I'm very confident that Casey will be exonerated of all charges once we find Caylee, so that's why our focus is on trying to find our granddaughter.

I put nothing past Baez even throwing the Anthony's under the bus to make his case. Conway seems to be a bit savvy but he's found out first hand revamping his clients is an uphill battle and defending them would be horrendous.

In the initial indictment it's said they investigated/found all the people in the state by that name. It was a handful something like 6 or 7 I can't remember exactly. But the indictment's the 1st link in the link's thread. There will always be those who believe the people with that name are baby kidnappers based on news headlines of Casey's lies. Most people don't follow these cases closely but stuff like kidnapping and the name will stick in many people's minds.

Casey determines if anyone visits. Each Inmate has their own lists of accepted visitors. (besides your atty) .... if the inmate wants no visitors then no way Geo can see her ... (even if its Baez's advice, Casey still controls that list/or NON list as it were)

I was suprised when he first sided with the family. I don't know why. I just didn't expect it. They're in a bad place. Watching George's interview reminds me of Cindy's brother's note that said they're in deep denial. It's stunning to think they believe her. I think at least back in August he did in part. I know George has glimpses of reality breaking thru though. The FBI guy who interviewed him was extrmely gentle I thought.
I wonder if either one of them will be able to accept that Casey did this? Darlie Routier case was on forensic files last nite. Her husband still maintains denial even though he's made conflicting statements. (which I can't recite off the top of my head right now, but was pointed out by investigators & the prosecutor during the show).
I'm pretty confident the grandparents will maintain their defense of their dtr thru the trial and beyond. How long beyond is anyone's guess. Maybe forever. It doesn't seem a good way to live.

Oh I have no doubt they will. probably forever..
IMO I think Darlie is NOT guilty.. Even some of jurors said if the had all the evidence they would have never convicted her.
BUT in this case I have no doubt Casey is guilty.

Listening to Baez again after Caylee was positively ID. Hes talking about giving casey dignity about letting him tell casey it was Caylee. IMO him and casey are a perfect match they both are blaming others . He's already starting to blame LE.. he said dont blame me for you blunders..Talking about the Le saying he was rushing them thru crime scene
Oh yeah they're throwing that out there. Like mud on the wall. It'll get a lot worse inside the trial. Some of the things defense lawyers say and who they're willing to destroy in the process is unbelieveable. David Westerfield tried to pin his evil deed on his own son. Thru his lawyer of course. It really left the poor young man shaken.

Yes I think Casey is most likely guilty too. Isn't it funny how people looking at the same evidence can come to dif conclusions. Yes I saw the photos that were not shown to the jury. I think a lot of the so-called evidence on save darlie cites are bogus. I think people believe a lot of things about that case in her favor that aren't true. I think Darlie put the bruises on her own arms just like she slit her own neck. She's not the first to almost kill herself in attempt to excape justice for her crime. Maybe that's why they should do away with the death penalty. She's sure had a mountain of evidence against her and I don't believe the cops decided let's get darlie this week because we have nothing better to do. And that's before you get to the 100% lack of evidence to support her lies that the non-existent intruder didit.

Yep. They'd better get some plastic to put up its going to be a dirty one.. IMo baez doesn't have clue one what hes doing..He thinks if he keeps throwing mud at every one sooner or later it will stick

I think that Casey isn't seeing her parents now because she doesn't need them for anything now. She would send messages with them for others when they visited...get phone numbers from them...Cindy would have her tablet and pen to take notes, etc. Caylee has been found and Casey doesn't need her parents to do for her now. She probably doesn't want to hear what they may have to say either. She is probably good and ticked at George but he didn't have a choice but testify for the Grand Jury. I wouldn't be surprised if he wanted to get everything off his chest anyway! Do the Defense and Pros get copies of the Grand Jury or not? Wouldn't seem like the defense would. I was wondering because of George's testimony. Casey doesn't need to know what all her dad said.
Casey is a witch. She could give a rip how her parents feel about anything. She uses people and when she is done with them she throws them away. She doesn't need her folks to babysit or give her money and gas or anything else. Maybe her attorneys will keep her commissary money rolling in. She must go through at least $150 a week.

Ah ha!!
http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0901/06/ng.01.html
from the link: PETRIMOULX: It`s kind of shaky on who actually received the money. There had been reports that the Baez -- the Baez defense team did receive six-figure payments for videos and pictures that were sold to a national TV network, and then shown on TV.
Im sure they both sold items.. Heres the reasn for that.. CA and GA hasn't worked in almost 7 months bills are still being paid. Baez made a deal with who ever put up casey's bond the last time. mo

It's sad Cindy seems to be instructing the FBI agent on the investigation she's conducting on her own while criticizing the sheriff's dept. Hm? I hope this isn't going to be her personal vendetta against the sheriff's dept. She starts out by telling the FBI agent she doesn't know anything about this sort of thing, then proceeds to instruct him how the cat eats the cabbage.

I dont know when they get the GJ transcripts. Im sure they get them so when people are testifying they can use them if they say something different. Hey,
When was that GJ again? was it before Caylee's BD. maybe thats why casey wont see them. Baez may already have them and read to casey what G said.
Was asking earlier if GA or C has put money in casey account..

You may be right, but IIRC C&G had to sign 2 promissory notes to 2 different bonding companies to get them to bond Casey out when LP's was pulled.
They didn't have any money....at least at that time.
I'd go so far as venture to say Baez gave C&G nothing in cash compensation.
Nada.
Zilch.
Casey is Caylee's next of kin...
Baez is her attorney.
... Casey's permission was needed to sell any of the Caylee stuff.
Casey is Baez's little 'cash-cow' and he ain't sharing.
No wonder he is always smirking..
IMHO, as always.
Caylee is GA and CA cash cow to paid interview.. So IMO they are all making money off of a DEAD baby...sickening..jmo

Oh I know and I understand. I always like to read your ideas and appreciate and respect what you have to say. Whenever I think of Darlie I can't help but think it's a pity for anyone to be sitting on death row who doesn't belong there. Where there's life, there's hope of maybe proving some other evidence.

Thanks as I like reading your posts and Ideas.. start wheels turning from others Posts. Makes us think...LoL...
When i was watching Gail St. Johns video. I saw the path clearly that looked like cars drove down there many times. I was thinking maybe the 4 am run that. The reporters missed that maybe Lee drove down that path and picked CA.. Im still trying to figure out how they left house with media out front and no one seen them.. They either have to come out garage door or side where gate is both are in full view from street. Lee's car is black but surely you'd see something if they came out of the house threw the gate or garage.

I think it's toward the latter part of Lee's interview that he tells investigators how they come and go from the back of the house.

Cindy's hard to listen to. I marvel at the investigator's patience. Not just in this case but all they do.
ETA: I've missed that Gale St. John video. Only saw seconds worth of snippets. I don't even know what they were doing. Seemed confusing to me and oh so sketchy. She's the psychic, right? She's been on some other cases showcased on trutv.
