I saw Nancy Grace's interview of Jesse Grunn last night, and he kept saying that the Casey he knew was not the Casey that could have done what she's accused of. Jesse needs to understand that a pathological liar, which Casey obviously is, is a great manipulator. They can make you believe anything they want. I think Casey is a narcisistic sociopath or maybe psycopath, and only loves herself. I believe that these people are incapable of loving anyone but themselves.
Casey knew that she had to show the loving mother image in front of Jesse and his parents to win them over. Once Jesse and his parents starting showing too much love of Caylee, it was time for her to move on. I hope Jesse begins to realize that Casey never loved him so he can start "getting over her." She's not worth the heartache she's still causing him.

God post, Tiggy.
I didn't see the interview but you gave a great recap.
It takes a long time to come around to believing something as horrid as this I would imagine.
Give them time.
They'll all get there.

Good morning and thanks for the link. It was heartbreaking to watch him.
Jesse made a comment that I thought was telling. He said that after Caylee was born, it was all about Caylee for Casey. Casey was focused on "how she was going to frame her career" after having a child. She was piling it on back then too.
IMO.
I saw that interview too, he really seemed to love both Casey and Caylee. But I agree with you, he needs to realize what she REALLY is...a self-centered murderer!
We drove back to the east coast for the holidays. We stopped overight on Monday night. I went to check into the place we were staying and there was about 15 people in the lobby watching the NG interview of Jesse. People from all over the country who stopped during their travels and came together over Caylee. Whoa baby...you should have heard some of their comments about Casey. They would have been banned from here for sure.

I agree and to think that the Anthonys are accusiing or suggesting that he is the one that killed Caylee....well it is outrageous.
Casey had alot of people fooled...although I don't for a minute believe she had her family fooled.
They knew exactly what she was ....why else would they have covered for her all these years.

Casey's stories were "I am a single mom, Caylee's daddy was killed in a car accident, my mom and dad are divorcing, dad had an almost stroke...."
IMO, Caylee was nothing more than an attention getter for Casey. Casey thrived on attention.

Yes it was a bad move to suggest Jesse was involved but...first of all they did not accuse him of killing Caylee, they suggested he may have taken her. Secondly the Anthony's mistrust of Jesse came straight from Casey's mouth and we all heard it on the jail house tape.
How ironic that Casey would say Jesse can't be trusted when she was so desperate to get his phone number after she was arrested. She turned on him quick when he wouldn't talk to her. Could it be that she wanted Jesse to wipe out her computer files?
So sorry I have confused Jesse and TonE. TonE was the one who would not talk to her. and where her computer was.

It appears that the HOA wanted to move the protesters to a vacant lot which sounds like to me is very near where the remains were found. (see Sept 12). It says one-tenth of a mile from the school. Too bad the injunction was denied, maybe protesters would have seen something if they were hanging around in that area.
YOU ARE SO RIGHT......I forgot about that...if the crowd had been moved to the end where there were no homes...that would have been the place.....
Casey must have been shakeing in her pants when she heard that were going to be moved to the very spot where Caylee's body was...
I wonder if the media ever thought about that?......

Good Morning everyone.
So I was looking at the pictures and I have to wonder how far in to this area would Casey and Kiomarie go? It looks so thick with roots and foliage. Is there a type of dirt road anywhere in it?
Are we sure the cadaver dogs cleared this whole area? The psychics cadaver dog didn't seem to get a hit at all and they were pretty close. If the bag was sprayed with pesticide would that have threw the dogs off?

Yes, the spot was heaverly wooded...the palm plant that she was behind would have covered it completely from view of the public...What I do not understand is why she didn't bury the body...That's why I believe she was in a hurry when she dropped it there.....
The psychic people that brought the dogs were not exactly around there...they mainly took them to the area around the airport...which is not that close...And I did hear from someone on one of the shows that the pesticide would have thrown the dogs off.....
Seeing as the media never mentioned on what trip the meter reader was releaving himself leads me to believe that it was the first time that he noticed the bag which was Aug 11th, and he was probably affraid to go near it at the time....thank goodness he continued to follow up on it...
Casey was probably hoping that when she got out she would move it...could also be why she wanted so badly to have that anklet bracelet removed just prior to being formerly charged with murder......JMO

I watched it....and forgive if this has already been discussed....
But if Cindy & George acted like Jesse was the father and went along with THAT until the paternity test proved otherwise & that relationship went south ...Then HOW can the old interview with Greta back when Cindy was standing in Caylee's room make sense? The one where Cindy says that Caylee's father knew & did not want to be involved from the beginning & is deceased thus his family does not know.
You can't have it both ways. One could conclude the deceased father is made up or maybe there were others onboard trying to trick Jesse.

You are right....seems like Cindy bought anything Casey was selling...but one would think that you would be in sympathy for the guy your daughter tried to blame for being Caylees father....They had to know that he loved Caylee and had bonded with her during the time that he thought he was her father...I believe he said that it was approximately a year before he found out....that's a long time to bond with a child....
In my opinion, Jesse probably would have taken Caylee off Casey's shoulders if he had the opportunity...he seems like that sort of guy...
My heart goes out to him more than anyone else....he's the only one I saw any tears from....

That is what happens when people live their lives with falsehoods.
They tell so many lies they can't remember them all and that is when
they show how foolish they are by contridicting themselves.
This is exactly what happened to Scott Peterson....stupid man lied on tv in front of the whole world....but I have to say although I didn't think I would ever see any one lie worse then he ...well the Anthonys have him beat more then I would ever imagined.
This whole family is unbelieveable ....they are the epitimy of deceit and untruths.

ITA with this post! I have wondered this all along myself. Sure makes no sense at all.
To me, this just proves that this family got "their" stories down prior to Casey's first arrest. I do believe they ALL knew from the beginning what had happened and they stuck to the story (June 9th until proven that could not be right) and other things that they came up with in a very short time.
I hope they are all investigated to the hilt.

I just watched that video for the first time...and yes they were right at the spot it seems...The only explanation I can come up with is the pesticide.....But it seems that the dog became alert when near there...Also the young man in the back seat seemed to becoming ill at something....
It's just a shame that the body wasn't found sooner, they might have been able to tell the cause of death....but I'm glad that the body was found at all...
And, no, I couldn't imagine Casey digging a hole either...she must have just thought that it wouldn't be found or that she would have time to move it somewhere else at a later date........
I still believe that she put it there on the day that George almost went into the trunk, that would have been too close of a call for Casey. I believe she immediately went down the road and dropped it off...JMO.

Near the beginning of the video, pay attention to the dog. As they drive by the location where Caylee was found, the dog begins to pant and gets excited.

When you click on the crime scene photos link in the link above posted by ellegna, you can see a pic of the blue tent and palm fronds all in front and around it.
It just makes me remember Leonard Padillas saying- more than once- that her body wold be found beneath/ among palm fronds. Looks like he was right.
Or, is it a lucky guess? Are there enough palm fronds down there that her being found near one is a no-brainer, I wonder?

I will tell you something else I have been wondering about. In the FBI interview Cindy tells them she gave LE an address and phone number of Zanny. So why didn't she call or go there to see Caylee? Why did she have to tell Casey to take her to Caylee if she had the address?
I would love to know what address and number she gave LE if she really did.

OMG! That is something that I must have missed, but does NOT surprise me one bit! These people need to be held accountable for their cover ups in this mess. They left a little baby lie in weeds to rot while lying for their daughter.
Just unheard of!

I haven't had time to read all the new posts. Last night I saw Jesse Grund on NG. He said Casey broke up with him, because she thought he loved Caylee more! How twisted!
Also, Jesse seems like a good guy by all counts, but Casey and her family pointed the police in his direction as a suspect. UGH! The Anthonys will throw ANYONE under the bus!

I wonder what Casey told her parents when she called off their engagement. I've always thought she wanted to keep the Grund's and her parents separated lest they compare notes. I'm sure she made up some b.s. about Jesse so her parents would dislike him. She FOR SURE did not want her mom talking to Jesse after she was arrested.

I agree...she was worried they would compare notes....The Anthony's had to have like Jesse, he is such a nice young man, someone that any mother would hope their daughter could marry...My heart goes out to him more than anyone else.....

Casey was also apparently willing to make up BS about her parents to others, including Jesse. I'm sure there are any number of people she would prefer could not get together & compare notes about what she said about them. Problem for her is that they all have done police interviews & I'm sure there is lengthy & tedious documentation of what she said about this one, that one & the other one. This has been bugging me. At the very beginning of this the Anthony family kept on saying June 9th as the last time anyone saw Caylee then came the video of FD June 15, Cindy's birthday was June 5 Caylee was at the birthday party for Cindy but Casey was not. This is strange to me. I have been thinking this actually started earlier with Casey and Caylee not staying at the Athony home every nite. Cindy was on vacation and reports said she waiting for Casey to bring Caylee to see her. Where were they at this point. Casey and Caylee were seen at different times during the early part of June. The after the 15th no one sees Caylee.Something it seems to me was going on before Father's Day. Somehow Cindy got Caylee and took her to the nursing home for a visit .Where was Casey during the time Cindy and Caylee was visitng greatgrand parents? I think Casey was already on the outs with ther parents before the 15th of June. The fight on the 15th was just the beginning of the end.
According to Rick Cindy's brother Casey had been lying and stealing from the family for years.

I think she did, too & it is easy to see why. The foliage was so dense & you know there had to be no end of possibilities for snakes & other things in there that would be a danger to the dogs & also to the people. Add knee-deep water to the mix - what a quagmire.

Glad to hear all is ok....
And yes, I believe that Casey changed her hanging out crowd often and she probably never let them know one another...that is usually how pathological liars operate...once people get on to their lies they move on to others that don't know them...I'm sure that none of her associates knew one another....She wouldn't be able to live her lies.
That is why Cindy asked on the one of the tapes "does anyone else know this one or that one" and Casey kept saying "it's possible but I don't think so"......She knew so...because she never let them know one another....This Casey has been like this for all her life....no doubt....

Good morning, Starling!
I agree a plan was devised after Cindy's 9-1-1 call. Lee stated in his interview Casey broke down and cried. She confessed to Lee Casey was kidnapped BUT did Casey really confess to Lee Caylee was dead????
The police are now on their way so they concocted the June 9th, I dropped Caylee off at Sawgrass story. George is sent away because he was considered the weak link.
Lee - Once my mother went outside to clear her head I acknowledged to Casey that mom’s outside and she can’t hear us. Casey began to break down and told me she doesn’t know where Caylee is and she hadn’t seen her in 31 days since she dropped her off to her nanny zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez.
Casey - On Monday, June 9, 2008 between 9am and 1 pm, I, Casey Anthony, took my daughter, Caylee Marie Anthony, to her nanny’s apartment.
Cindy - I last saw my granddaughter Sun June 8th. Casey for the last month has told me that Caylee has been with her She refused to let me speak with her because she said I would upset her.
George - AS TO THIS STATEMENT, MY GRANDDAUGHTER- CAYLEE MARIE ANTHONY, AGE 3 HAS BEEN MISSING. WHAT I MEAN, I HAVE NOT SEEN HER OR HEARD HER VOICE SINCE JUNE 9, 2008.
When the Father's day video surfaced IMO, the A's went to plan B.
George concocts this story about watching his favorite cooking. Casey and Caylee are leaving precisely at 12:50 and provides explicit detail what they both were wearing. Not bad recollection for a guy who couldn't get the right date the first time.
I have no doubt the entire family knew as of July 16th what really happened to Caylee and immediately went into cover up mode.

I don't beleive she confused the dates, either. George, yes. He was barely employed and had no reason to have dates, times, schedules & errands written down or memorized. Cindy, on the other hand, was working full time, and all that job entailed (she was apparently a respected collegue as I have not heard or read anything otherwise) plus cooking meals, shopping, raising her grandaughter while tolerating a lying scheming and theiving daughter, and dealing with elderly parents in another town.
I don't think Cindy mixed up those dates. But, maybe her head was so full of BS and lies when the police asked her the date, (a month and a day later) that she couldn't think straight.

Boxermom, You know that is a good question. That is just what was reported that Lee and Caylee were there for Cindy's birthday. That would be June the 5th maybe Casey was already in trouble for the check for the phone at this point.I guess I would have to see a video of it to ensure that was the truth. Nothing these folks have said or done you can take to the bank.
I just think that Casey and Caylee were in and out of the Anthony home before the 15th. I think there was a lot going on before the final blow up on Father's Day.
If the check for the phone was in April the bank statement would have been in May or June according to when the check was actually written and the cut off time for the bank to process the statements. Shirely might not have known about the check until June if Casey wrote it at the end of April and it did not clear until after the May statement was sent out. jmo

While in the car, I would have assumed that the grandmother Cindy would have made Casey bring her to "ZENAIDA's" house...how could she have accepted any excuse what so ever after all that had gone down.....(not seeing Caylee for a month, car towed away, odor of death in car)........NO one in their right mind would have driven home without their granddaughter, even if they would have had to drive for hours and hours.....
I just don't get it.....

But, maybe her head was so full of BS and lies when the police asked her the date, (a month and a day later) that she couldn't think straight.
abbie
For me, the only way I'd believe she mixed up the dates was if she actually thought Father's Day was on the 9th. And even then, that's a stretch. They all wanted to steer clear of the 15th-16th timeframe.

What I find wrong with that story is.....When Cindy went to Tone's apartment and told Casey to get her things, she then asked Casey to take her to get Caylee...Casey told her that Caylee was probably sleeping...It was then that CINDY claimed to have said to Casey "I don't care, I want to go get her" and Cindy claimed at this point Casey broke down and told her that Caylee had been taken by the nanny...

That sounds right- CA demanded that Casey take her to Caylee -or - she was taking her to the police station. Casey told her that was a good idea, and they drove to the police station. When they got there, it was closed. So, they drove home and CA called 911 to report missing child. Apparently, CA had called GA with her concerns while driving home. GA called LA and asked him to go to the house. In the end, Casey told LA that Caylee had been kidnapped 31 days ago, CA overheard the comment and called 911 again.

We all know they stayed away from June 15th because of the enormous fight between Casey and Cindy regarding the cheque fraud that Casey committed against her elderly Grandparents.
Its my theory that it was a physical fight, with great yelling, where Cindy told Casey she was going to get custody of Caylee, and Casey told Cindy that she would 'never' see Caylee again, and left the home.
jmo
Yep. Can't help but wonder if there is "more" to the story. The fight that we've heard about re: yelling, threats, etc. probably happened more often than just that one incident. Did something else come up that day that they are afraid of? (and no, I don't think they had anything to do with the death of Caylee)

Lee is the one IMO that whipped out her laptop.
I think that is what just might be the reason his lawyer suggested he might be charged with obstruction or something to that affect.
If you recall he is the one who went and got Casey's things from TonE's on the night that Cindy got her from there.
I also believe he tried to lead the LE into thinking TonE or someone else did by saying her things were all packed up neat and that was not like

Hmmmm. Who's to say the two of them didn't take a little rest stop where Caylees remains were, to further hide or cover them up, at Caseys request? Maybe stopping by to look to see if Casey had truly dumped her child there, cos Casey told them she did. Then on to the nursing home.
Because they did leave their home undetected that night, and they did have a wee-hours-of-the-morning visit with the parents of Cindy at the nursing home, per NH staff. I read it somewhere and no don't have a link, don't do links on holidays LOL so call it JMO.

Cindy calls George. George calls Lee. And so on & so on. I wonder what might have happened if George, Cindy & Lee had all stood together as a unit & confronted Casey? Put her in a position where she could not flit from one to the another to the next.
In some ways I think that shows just how much people get worn completely to a nub trying to come up with some effective way to deal with someone who is a bottomless pit of lies. "Let me talk to her.
Shirely might not have known about the check until June if Casey wrote it at the end of April and it did not clear until after the May statement was sent out. jmo

They had waited 31 days to find Casey. 31 days! At this point, they were still hoping in their hearts that Caylee was alive, ----though their brain was telling them she was not. My pure guess is that they all knew that if they did slap the pee-waddling h#ll out of her, THEY would be the ones in jail.
I actually know someone who that happened to. Lying, thieving, conniving 17-year-old son driving his parents straight out of their minds. Goaded his parents for over an hour (for the zillionth time) while they tried to get some truth out of him. He (son) smarted off to his mother with some vulgarities, walked out the door, his father lost it, grabbed him & slammed him up against the wall of the house (outside). Girlfriend called the police, police saw red marks on son, son & girlfriend swore his father assaulted him, father arrested & off to jail he went.
Son got what he wanted, parents ended up spending a fortune of more money (which they could not afford since their son was stealing from them) & they STILL never got any truth out of the son.

According to LE expert the video of Caylee at nursing home was true to be the 15th of June. My questions were where was Casey during Cindy's birthday and while Cindy was on vacation in June. I believe there was some bad stuff going on before the 15th fight between Casey & Cindy. I don't know where Casey was during the time Cindy and Caylee went to nursing home and got back home. I think you bring up a very valid point regarding the appearance & water conditions. I don't believe the conditions we saw there are unusual at all in that general area. The sad truth is that there really is a limit to how much thorough searching can be done in dangerous areas & under conditions that pose a significant risk.
As much as anyone might personally want to take part in a search for a missing person, as soon as you get to the part where you are up to your hips, if not your armpits in foliage so thick you cannot see where you will be stepping - then add water known to be knee-deep & probably deeper in some areas - PLUS add in the factor of poisonous snakes, etc - you have a situation that is too inherently dangerous to allow a thorough search. At some point the risks become too great to proceed further.

I do not believe any other family member had anything to do with Caylee's death ----that evil act was Casey's alone --- but I do think the family has continued to do all they can to cover for Casey since then, with the possible exception of George's interviews with LE. Now I am wondering what their stance is NOW.

Oh I agree that Lee wiped out the computer but I am thinking she was trying to connect with ToneE to do it and that's why she was so desperate to get his number and when he wouldn't talk to her, she then went to Lee.
She had plenty of time to tell Lee to go over there and wipe it clean, which is evidently what he did, she didn't need to tell TonE to do it a day later. I think she wanted to get hold of TonE to tell him not to talk to anybody. Because she probably still thought that getting arrested was a temporary thing ( having been put in jail "on a whim") and she was trying to do preemptive damage control for when she got back out. MO

I bet she just put them in a trash bag and threw them in the dumpster.
Why throw them with the body and she could just put them in the trash can? IMO
The reason i think that is why did she keep the carseat and baby doll in the car and not toss them into the woods too?
It sounds like it was a hurried disposal to me --- she wasn't thinking things through, which seems to be typical of Casey.

Casey Anthony's Brother Now Facing Charges
When the case began, Lee told his sister Casey during a jail visit that he would be conducting his own investigation into the disappearance of Caylee. Lee said he was looking into leads and begged Casey to write him a letter with information so he could move forward with his investigation.
The Anthonys never spoke about Lee's investigation or any of his findings.

ARGH! What a total crock of a story. The headline intimates that charges have been filed. The body of the article backs off & skates around it - he 'COULD' be charged.

I read Lee's interview with LE from last August. It was quite the eye-opener. The kidnap story is Cindy's. Lee said he'd never forget the first words out of Cindy's mouth What have you done? What have you done? Later Cindy prompted Casey with Who took her? Who took her? After Cindy prompted her with the inception THEN Casey took Cindy's prompt and replied ummmmmm....the nanny did the nanny took her mom
At that point, Casey haden't said a word about anybody taking anyone.
But Cindy did. Lee said there was always bad blood between the two women. That Cindy threw Casey's mistake (the baby) in her face incessently. Lee asked Casey Why? and Casey said Because I'm a spiteful *****.
It seems the family behaves like a school of fish, taking Cindy's lead. From the interview it's between the lines (and LE knows it) that Lee was told to rush to the apt and grab credit cards and money (Cindy's main focus) and destroy evidence. LE knows he wiped the computer of evidence (for lack of better terms) and hid, destroyed or otherwise impeded the investigation in effort to protect Casey from prosecution.
By the end of the interview investigators ask Lee if he wants to raise his right hand and swear all he's said is true. He declines. I don't think his lawyer is pretending he might be charged. I don't think media is having a slow news day. Because in that August '08 interview it's apparent police know he's lying.
Obstruction might have to do with missing bundle of receipts, laptop virus, deleted emails, swapped-out sim card, and how did you know Casey’s car ran out of gas at Amscot on the 27th?
Is there anything right now that you want to add to your statement so far or questions you have of me , or things that you think I need to be bringing to someone’s attention that may have been overlooked such as a bundle of receipts? asks law enforcement.

Everything you say here is correct-except. George did not say cooking show, he started by saying I was watching the news-Cindy altho she was not there corrected him to say he was watching the cooking show. Guess he forgot the script a second. But not to worry, Cindy remembered.

If the Anthony's didn't want the great-grandparents to hear of the missing child from tv news, all they had to do was tell them not to turn on their tv until they got there.
I don't believe they woke old folks at 4:00a.m. worried they had their tv on at that hour. I don't believe them. They're admitted inconsistency reciters.

Oh I agree that Lee wiped out the computer but I am thinking she was trying to connect with ToneE to do it and that's why she was so desperate to get his number and when he wouldn't talk to her, she then went to Lee.
She was already in jail when she asked for TonE's phone number I believe.
I think Lee whipped out the laptop right after Cindy brought Casey home when he went to TonE's that night.
He did that before he even brought her stuff including laptop back to the house.
I bet TonE can testify to Lee being on her laptop before he left his apartment.
Guess time will tell.

I am wondering why it was important enough to correct him- which difference did it make if it was a cooking show or a news show- unless something on the news that day is important. IMO
What show a person is watching in the whole picture of a crime investigation can be very important. It sets a timeline for a specific event.
It was on Greta's show. Greta was interviewing the Anthony's. George was trying to talk to Greta & answer Greta's questions posed to him and Cindy talked over the top of them. George said he liked to watch a favorite cooking show before heading out to work. But, Cindy interjected before George could get the sentence finished.
I haven't read his interviews with law enforcement yet. Heaven only knows how the story changes at any given time.

Maybe because it was the wrong day or time of day he was talking about? For example, maybe he really was watching the news which would be on at a different time of day ~ but he's trying to say he last saw C/C at almost 1pm? I never found his story credible because not that many people remember exactly what somebody was wearing over a month later on what would be just another day. MOO

I have posted this before somewhere, IMO yes the doors would be locked. Its for the safety of those inside @ night. Also a smaller staff.
Any unusual requests to be let in the building at an off hour, such as 4am especially, would have been brought to the attention of the charge nurse or the nurse in charge 11-7 shift. That charge nurse will remember for LE if she did or did not let them in. Not only that, in every building where I have been in charge you also have to keep a log and something like that would be for sure entered into the log. Its for CYA purposes, for starters. :)
abbie
and edited to add, now that I think about it, not only would the manager on duty or the nurse in charge have noted that she let the Anthony peeps in at 4am to see their parents due to family emergency, that info would have ALSO been passed onto the day shift staff in morning report FIRST THING. Things like this affect elderly people in different ways, and if the staff is made aware something is going on, they will handle that accordingly. And no, this information would not be protected medical info (for example under HIPAA) that the police would not be able to get out of a person in charge.

Yes according to Lee she was there. But are we in dispute that Caylee was last seen Father's day? the 31 days has always bothered me, I would have said a month or 4 weeks, or FATHER"S DAY
Yes the 31 days is typical of the House of Anthony. Anyone else would have said Fathers day or about a month or give a date. Just like Cindy instead of saying my daughter is a good Mother and I can't see her hurting Caylee , Cindy says "when you know the truth you will vote her Mother of the Year" Everything is exaggerated with them. YUP! There's a record somewhere!!
When I returned to the workforce they had come up with the code system in most facilities to go on or out during any hour. In the facilities where the last door was locked all the time and the residents with all their marbles got a code to use to come and go, and so did each of the employees. (A keypad you enter your UPIN into) The facilities also used this as a handy was to covertly see on the computer read-out how many times an employee went out an exit door during their shift (as smokers generally do). Just look and see how often an employees door code was entered. Any smoker would jump out a side door for a puff or two on a really busy shift. Sneaky, sneaky! But more evidence that things are monitored!

I can't wait to read some of the other interviews with Cindy & George.
I never quite bought into the we haven't seen our dtr in 31 days
I seriously question the source; George, Cindy, Lee and Casey.
LE knows they're all in up to their necks. Too many lies from that crew.
Public documents from the documents thread.
I just re-read Lee's statement and it was LEE who was the first one to say "who took her". It's in his statement. When his sister starts crying and says she hasn't seen Caylee for 31 days he says he asked her "Who took her" and that's when Casey says "she was kidnapped".
So, it appears that Lee planted that seed first......then she went with it.

The neighbor told Greta (on her show) there was arguements heard coming from the Anthony house often. The night of the 15th he said there was a particularly bad arguement. [my paraphrase] SOURCE: Greta Van Susteren's television show "On the Record" from early in the case. About three days out as I recall.
August 11, 2008 http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,402098,00.html
Mark Fuhrman: ......But I can tell you this. While I was still on the ground in Orlando, I talked to one of the immediate neighbors that is within earshot of the Anthony house, and he said that Casey Anthony had one hell of a temper. And he heard her swearing at her mother several times, so loud that he could hear it from his house, and that he would never talk to his parents that way. And he said even Father's Day weekend, that was going on. So whether that's true or not, it's something that he's observed and heard on repeated times. We'd never heard that before, and so that's interesting all unto itself.
Greta: Did the parents or the grandparents -- did they say anything to corroborate that, or Lee, or anyone say anything that would tend to corroborate the neighbor's statement?
Mark Fuhrman: No. Exactly the opposite. In fact, I asked Cindy Anthony and George if there was a fight that they had with Casey that weekend or any time close to the time when she took Caylee and left, and they absolutely said not. And that seems to be, you know, a direct conflict with a neighbor who on that weekend said that there was, you know, an argument.

Barbara - didn't she at one point take Casey to the "Sub-Station", and it was closed so she went home to call the police instead? And George had called Lee to get to the house, so he was waiting for them. George was at work and couldn't get away since it was his first night working for that company.
That probably makes more sense....And I think Cindy stated to George when he got there "we lost Caylee"...that is even odd to say....That sounds so final.....but it could have just been a figure of speach when one is upset...
But, if it were me, I would have never went back to the house before my daughter would have taken me to Caylee....Cindy had to have known something was wrong at that moment.....

I gave the A's the benefit of the doubt for their odd behavior because they could have been in shock....in the beginning! But as the weeks went by, into months I just can't believe them. You love your child but if they do something wrong they must take responsibility. Part of loving them is being there for them as they take their punishment.
Last night there was a show on on ID channel hosted by Lester Holt. It was about a girl who was murdered and dumped. It turns out it was her freinds who did it. It was a dispute over a boy, they were teens. She was beaten to death by a girl and the boy in dispute was in the car too.
After she was missing for 4 days the boy broke down and told his dad. His dad asked him point blank, is she dead and he said yes. Dad called his ex wife and told her to come over and they both talked to the boy and called the cops. They took him to the police station.
This couple really struck me. They were so upset and yet they did the right thing. They felt it hard to accept that their son could be involved in something like this because he showed no outward signs but the Mom said any child can be capable of this.
We do the best we can but some things just happen. It is what you do after that makes the difference. I am doing a poor job of explaining this but if you could see this show these parents were the perfect example of real love.
They are devasted by their son's actions but are also devastated for the victim and her family.
So very different from the A's. It is just stark and very chilling, how the A's behave as a family.

snipped for length (trying to catch up on my reading but had to say this)
First off, I am NOT an Anthony lover, by any means. BUT, I don't think there is ANY way that Cindy, no matter what, would have left Caylee's remains in the woods.
IMO, she really, truly did love Caylee and could NEVER have left her to the animals and elements that way.
I completely agree. And I don't think George would have either.

Chances are the tape would stick so tightly to a glove that you would have to tear the glove to get away. That stuff is persistent.
Depending on what the gloves were made of, but if they were knit or fabric then yes definitely some of that would stick to the tape. MOO

You must not have been reading very carefully because there are actually a lot of posters here who think Cindy loved Caylee and would never have left her body to rot in the woods.
And I am one of them athough I rarely post on this thread.

Have you researched where GstJ obtained the dogs and past training of said dogs? Do you think a professional search team would wear shorts on a search if they intended to search thoroughly?
IMO, the ONLY value the video offers is better understanding the appearance of the area during the summer and water conditions if the dates can be verified.
Regarding video editing, if a group drove slowly up and down a pathway thru a woods with off-leash dogs supposedly searching along the pathway, and declared the area searched with no findings.............is that a group you want searching for a missing loved one? IMO, TES spent more time PLANNING a search in a similar wooded area.
jmho
Well, no, I would not want those dogs searching for a loved one of mine...After watching that video today, I can not believe that they were fully trained cadaver dogs...That one dog showed signs of senceing something but when let out of the car he headed in the wrong direction....But it was eerie how close they were to the body...
As for the shorts....even the police where shorts out here...that didn't take me back, but as for the area being water logged, I find it hard to believe that that would have stopped a search especially after they had divers going into alligator waters.....There are certainly no alligators around the spot that Caylee was found near....
My honest opinion is that the searchers never searched the area because they assumed it would be too close to where the Anthony's lived therefore it wasn't logical...The group in the car seem to be the only ones that did indeed go very near the spot but not in 20 feet....

Is that because of his physical condition or because of a rule? A lot of these places have apartments and infirmary. I also don't think its a huge issue what time of day people come and go. I have visited my Mom at any and all hours of the day and night, and no one has ever tried to stop me. And the doors aren't ever locked either.
He is in a wheelchair...Yes, physcial condition ...I've never heard of a NH that kept their doors unlocked all night....I'm talking about a Nursing Home, which is what he is in....Not an apt..

He is in the wheelchair close to the nurse's station in the photo, and the emails between the sister and Cindy's mother address the kind of care that is required IMO.
In addition to that when Yuri went to confirm, he mentions the id check-in at the duty station and questioning the nurse assigned to Grandpa in the documents release.

It depends on what level of care the person is receiving. It's my understanding that the elderly grandfather requires nursing care. The doors are locked also so that the residents do not wander off. Where my mother was before she died, even visitors had to have an elevator code to get out.

The doors are never locked at an elder care facility? Where seniors with debilitating diseases (like Alzheimers) and conditions (strokes) that can leave them completely confused and helpless live? That is very, very odd because it is very, very dangerous.

It does sound suspicious now that you mention it. Even after all the crappe' (thanks Mamie! I'm adopting your word!) they've told us this past several months, I still believe the things they've said. Duh! When will I get it?

3 things no house should be without. Duct tape, hot glue gun and super glue. Fixes everything.
In Caseys case, it worked too well.
Four things. Don't forget WD-40!!

but were those people subjected to having the world watching their every move through a webcam, or their private conversations broadcast to the world. I think just those two elements is enough to distinguish the difference in the two families.
The media scrutiny has no bearing on the A's behavior. There was no media when Casey was 7 mos pg andthey denied the obvious. Media had nothing to do with how this family developed. This behavior did just start to occur overnight.
Well I am not sure what the publicity was but it was a pretty gruesome case. The parents also did not wait long enough for it to become a media circus.
Their son did something wrong they asked dirrect questions and sttod by him as he would take his lumps. No excuses for him, no throwing LE off track, no double talk.
FYI-They tried to bury the body but the earth was frozen, then they tried to burn the body but it wouldn't burn. When that didn't work they asked a friend to cut up the body so they can dispose of it easier. Not only was she murdered but they just brutalized her over and over again after her death.
His parents still love him but understand that another precious life was lost.

In re-reading Lee's statement, I was struck by him telling about Casey saying Cindy has told her that "Caylee was her biggest mistake...and she was HER mistake". It got me to thinking.....could Casey killing Caylee be her way of "wiping out her mistake"?....."ridding her of her mistake"......in her mind did she think she would be more acceptable to her mother if she could get rid of her "mistake". I found it odd that she stated this to Lee at the time they were first trying to get out of her where Caylee was. He said this was the first time he had heard this from Casey. Was this perhaps something Cindy threw out at Caylee the night of their fight and Casey took off with Caylee and "got rid of her mistake" so her mom would accept her again......like she did before her "mistake"?
Just thinking out loud......

And if you use scissors, the glue sticks to the damm scissors too. Hummm, wonder if LE took some scissors from the house as well? JMO.
Wow, that's a good point that I hadn't even considered! I wonder how often Casey used duct tape.......... did she know how to cut or tear it efficiently without ending up with it sticking back on itself or did she have to fight with it??

Didn't the great grand parents livin in "assisted living"? If that is the case, they typically have their own apartments, and free will to come and go as they please, the same for having company.
Assisted living units in buildings have a locked exit door after-hours. At least in my state. One place here has the cottages (free standing little homes) plus apartments, then assisted living units, then rehab unuits, then nursing home units, then dementia units. Every place but the cottages were locked up at night. Even the apartments where staff did not go unless the residents put on emergency light. Once time they found a guy who had been deceased several days in his apt. They just don't go to those assisted living apts unless they need to. (For one thing, those people aren't paying for nursing services,. So if a nurse reponds to one of those apts willy-nilly if they call for something ridculous, the nurse has to make out a slip to go to billing cos the facility DOES charge that old person for the nurse being called from another unit.) This is the new state of the art facilities.
In any building where vulnerable people are residing, I think the door are kept locked at night for their own safety. So none get confused and wander out of the building (I had one who was found at 7-11 at 3 am in her pajamas by the police-:scared:), so no crackheads try to steal meds in the middle of the night, so no otherwise bad people get in, and to keep employees from stealing the place blind. JMO.
In places like this, the facility is responsible for their residents safety. Therefore, no open doors after a certain hour.

Maybe my Mom is in an odd place, because the doors are not locked.
In assisted living places the doors are left open during the day with a guard at the entrance...Then after a certain hour the doors get locked but the guard remains all night....so it could be that your mom was in a place like that....so was my dad...I could go anytime and visit but after certain hours the guard would have to let me in...

Extended care facilties (nursing homes) wouldn't have access 24/7 for visitors, however an assisted living complex where residents have their own apartments could possibly allow people to come and go as they pleased. However there usually is a main lobby with a reception desk where security would be posted during nighttime hours. The only time I was allowed into an ECF "after hours" was when they called me thinking my mother could pass away that night. MOO

Do you mean that the fact that more people knew about this crime would have affected the values the Anthonys hold?

This has probably been covered dozens of times, but for some reason I am drawing a blank:
How do we know that the fight between Cindy and Casey was about Casey stealing from her GP's? And how do we know Cindy put her hands around Casey's throat? Is this in the docs anywhere?
If I remember correctly, I believe the neighbor with the shovel first commented on the argument. As time went by, I believe Lenny P. commented on the part about Cindy putting her hands around Casey's throat. Not sure if that part is true or not.

That is more than odd. It is medically negligent and probably illegal.
