How does the insertion of the Utility Worker's phone calls affect this case ?
Geraldo says it makes it easier for Casey to get Manslaughter and 15
years : because what was happening on that crime scene between
August and now .
Is this significant information :
or just on Fox News ?

I just have to say this....while I do have complete and total sympathy for the Anthonys right now, I think where my frustration lies is that they never pushed Casey during their video visits about anything. Wonder if they had told her that that knew about all of her lies, would it have made her crack? Their complacency appears to have confirmed to Casey that she could get away with this.
Thank God they finally found her and I hope Casey gets her due justice.
RIP Caylee

Just came in & found out the remains are of Caylee Anthony. Also viewed the video of the meter reader & his public statement & that of his lawyer.
He appears to be (at this point) an innocent bystander in all of this ... particularly since he reported his sightings of a bag (we don't know the exact location & he wisely isn't going to make that public) in the month of August.
What I am wondering is: did LE drop the ball on their response to such information. At present I don't believe we are privy to all the information that would put that question to rest...for me. We have statements from Nieves but I want to see the written reports that were made.
Now Sheriff Beary wants to follow up on this before making any comment.
What will truly be appalling is: if the meter reader is an innocent bystander that he had to ask for a lawyer to protect his interests.

My sympathy for them is seperate from my opinions on their bahavior. I'm curious as to how they will spin this, but that's for a later time. I want them to grieve and start to heal. I have always believed they loved her with everything.. but like I said, seperate from their lies and behavior..for now that can be put aside. We all know that they are suffereing with this news. They can't even hold out 1 % of hope that she is alive. I am sure they are crushed beyond words. Add to that the fact that it is most likely their own flesh and blood, the child they raised and loved, who did this. I can't imagine having to deal with it all. I would like to see Cindy's mother come and hold her own daughter now. It's just so upsetting.. no matter how much I knew it was her..hearing it..finalized just breaks your heart over and over again. To think her little body laid in that dark bag, in that wet place.. little kids are scared of the dark, they sometimes want a nightlight..and here she was in nothing but darkness and woods, while that pig of a mother of hers was out dancing and partying.. Blech.. I feel such disdain for Casey.

Honestly I just thought about that, it is Christmastime, it has to be horrendous to bury a child any time but at Christmas has to make it even worse.
My heart aches for the great-grandparents and for Caylee. She, along with other innocent children deserve to be loved and protected. I am glad that the "Casey coddling" has come to an end.
RIP Caylee :rose:
TY happy.. That' all I'm thinking about right now. People often times need the closure of seeing a body and they can't even do that. I am sure they are beyond devastated, even though this was predicted and the evidence showed it early on.. the final results are the ones that matter ya know.
Anyone know when they will release Caylee's remains to the Anthony's for burial?
Didn`t the defense say they would do another autopsy?

12-19-2008, 05:52 PM
I would put money down that Casey won't go to Caylee's funeral.
Not for the reasons stated here throughout the day but because she just won't want to.
I don't think she will care what it looks like and the only one making excuses will be JB and the A's.
IMO I just think she just doesn't care. The proof of that was in the woods
I think you are right that she will not go to the funeral. She is charged with murder, this case has already proven to be creating & perpetuating a media circus & frenzy. Too much of a risk to let her out of jail, even accompanied by LE. And there is no need for the taxpayers to fund for extra LE to accompany her (instead of doing their usual job).

I agree Motomom. She will not want to go, and I think she should go. Maybe it will break through that seared conscience? I keep thinking about her text to Tony when he asked why she didn't tell him about Caylee missing? She wrote, "I'm the worst mother in the world." Let her reap the consequences, including the funeral. SHe'd far prefer staying in her little cocoon, drawing, eating snacks, and reading, isolating herself from feeling any remorse.
I do not think her going to the funeral would do anything to Casey, she is the one who put her dead daughters body in trash bag/s so what would a funeral do to a sick person like her, nothing imo

This "innocent until proven guilty"... it is for the judge and jury. The police and district attorneys are obviously allowed to think she is guilty and lock her up. It is for a reason. Otherwise, no one would ever get charged, suspects would ever be locked up, etc.

I can certainly forgive them but not accept and excuse G and C's behavior to lie and cover-up things for Casey.
I'll never accept that as "ok". That is why forgiveness is extended to them but my heart aches for the great-grandparents of Caylee, and Caylee. Concerning George and Cindy, they needed to come to grips with the truth a LONG time ago...like...when 31 days had gone by and you found out Caylee was gone, and the car smelled like human decomposition. That is NOT the time to take up for and lie for a lying, stealing, partying-while-Caylee-is-missing-Casey Anthony.

You're probably right. I am having a problem with the news commentators speaking of "accidental" death. No one knows how the child died, or the malice behind it, or do they know if Caylee suffered.
If it was an accident why hide it? They can argue she panicked but she came up with a pretty detailed story and went out and partied? If it was an accident and she panicked why did she literally act like nothing happened? I hope that a jury would never buy the accident theory because of those things.

I am not sure what case I am thinking about. Oh you know, I do remember one case but the guy wasn't a suspect at the time. A young girl, he was her best friend and was a pall bearer at her funeral  that's just one though.
I am hoping someone from the jailhouse will start leaking info, like her behavior and all that good stuff. I don't care if Baez says it is her private moment, whatever that is..makes me sick. He can't say anything because if she was devastated and collapsed in tears, you know he would have said that. He can't say that because she probably asked to finish her funyons before being told the news.. she's disgusting.

EXACTLY! Dr. G determined it was homicide, based on the totality of evidence, both forensic and circumstantial. No one who panics following an accident would behave in the manner Casey acted, blatantly celebrating her new life. While all is speculative, there is compelling evidence that Casey was thrilled to be without the encumbrance of a toddler.
There is no way the accident theory will fly...at least I am hoping the jury sees through it because to me it is a joke. I definitely agree that NO ONE acts like that after the accidental death of their child...

to attend funerals but they have to be shackled and can only attend one portion of the funeral like the viewing or the burial and must have sheriffs escorts.
Not usually for the people they are being held without bail for killing
She said something about killing...
I couldn't believe what I was hearing, I can't say for sure what she said, though.

I do remember Baez saying in some document that IF Caylee was dead it had to be an accident...I cannot remember where I read that but I know I did, not those exact words but words to that effect.
I don't get why anyone can say now that it was an accident if the reports are true that Caylee had ducttape around her little head. That could be how she died, she could have suffocated her with the tape.. not accidental though.. Waiting to hear what that stain was in the back of the car, that will be telling IMO

If they were actually thought to be innocent until proven guilty, they would be free to live in the community until their day of court.

I was talking to some people from my local DAs office and they were saying that Caylee being a child takes away any hint of any excuse or mitigating factor. when there is an adult victim, sometimes there is some hint of some reason. won't happen in this case. I heard that and he said that chloroform forms in the early stages of decomposition and then went on to say that toxicology could be done from the hair. Then I lost him trying to listen post and read all at once.
i did that same thing too

I am just praying that she left a fingerprint on the tape...as far as I am concerned, she murdered that baby but I know some will require a little more to be swayed...the fingerprint on the tape is definitive.
IMO
I'm hoping the same thing.

I said on the other board that I remember whoever called 911 wasn't actually the person who found the bag, I remember the guy at the beginning saying something like here he can tell you and someone else as put on the phone. Then I seen another poster said it was his superior who called 911 then patched the call to him, maybe the superiors is named Gonzales?
Would he have been that stupid if his family member told him where the body is to keep calling and then finally open the bag himself?

I wonder who decides who can and who cannot attend the funeral?
The judge does in most jurisdictions.

Most definetly.. if the reports are true though..she's headed  Her only hopes right now IMO and I could be wrong is if she confesses everything and takes a plea..other than that she's done for.
Would anyone be opposed to her copping a plea now?? And say getting 30 yrs or something? I doubt anything will be offered but I don't know. I would be ok with that if she told the absolute truth about what happened... someone kick me cause I can't really think that way, but I want to know what happened to that baby. I want to know what why, where and when... course she is too young, 30 isn't long enough IMO.. Can't wait till she goes to the big house!!! Oh the mothers in there that can't see their kids..they're gonna love her!!
I want to know all those answers also but I don't think she will ever take a plea, she will die (either naturally or by the state) stating she is innocent.

OK-need one of you experts to fill me in on this:
Caylee went to visit her great-grandfather in the nursing home on Father's Day, correct? That would have been what date?
Who took Caylee there? Was Casey with them? Then they went back to the Anthony's home to celebrate Father's Day later and had a big fight, correct?
Has Caylee ever been seen since then?
The reason why I am asking is that I am wondering if perhaps Caylee died that very night at her mother's angry hand and was kept in the trunk for a while. Then when George went to look in the trunk (what was that date?) Casey wouldn't let him go in there and he saw garbage bags and that is when she took off, probably dumped the body at the end of the road and that was that.
IMO
Cindy took Caylee, Casey did not go, after the nursing home they had dinner at Cindy's moms house.

Thank you in advance.
Might I suggest checking the LINKS # 2 thread. It may be in there, the video of it. I watched it but did not pay much attention to what he said.

It is definetly not true because no jury is going to let this babykiller off just because she hid the body long enought to loose most of it's evidentiary value. 31 days, that in addition to all the other circumstantial evidence they have will get a conviction.
Please everyone, just refrain from watching FOX. They have apparently taken a position against the Prosecution in this case, imo.
I don't know about all of Fox but Geraldo certainly has. I heard him a little bit ago pretty much accuse OCSO of making up the August calls by the meter reader.

I would like to hear an apology coming from the Anthonys to LE, FBI and the thousands of SEARCHERS who actually volunteered their own time to try to find this little girl. I won't hold my breath though.
