The sad thing is it likely won't be long before we hear that this young lady has met the same fate as his 2 previous wives...

If this young village idiot has any parents at all, they should immediately have her declared mentally incompetent to make decisions on her own behalf. Where are they in all this??????

Trust me when I say Im on "your side" here. I think its unreal that Drew is remarrying, or wants to, after his divorce from Stacy is finalized. Drew is lucky he's still a free man right now cause we all think he killed Kathleen AND Stacy.

However this new, stupid young woman is 23 and a legal adult. Many IMO misguided people are drawn towards convicts and convicted murderers. Doesnt mean she's legally incompetent though. As far as her parents go, maybe they have disowned her. Maybe they are dead. Maybe they are praying their daughter will regain her wits and not go through with it.

I heard a few minutes ago on a news channel.

Engaged? And this young woman (news said) is same age as Stacey? What is with this guy?
And the young woman? I sure would like to know what he's got that draws these 'girls' to him.

Does not really surprised me. Been dating ever since Stacey disappeared, the way I understand.

Last I heard he may be charged with the murder of Kathleen. Shaking head.

Another young-un infatuated w/ this guy? What does he have to offer? How long does it take before a body is declared dead? . He would be an old man by then. If she intends to marry him. Maybe while he is in prison? IMO.

Geeeeeese. Some things just don't make sense. Notoriety I guess.

Publicist confirms commitment to 23-year-old woman despite missing wife

Drew Peterson, the retired Illinois police sergeant who gained national attention after he was suspected in his third wife's disappearance, is engaged to be married again, his publicist said Wednesday.

Peterson's publicist Glenn Selig confirmed the engagement to a 23-year-old woman to NBC's Chicago affiliate, WMAQ, after it was first reported by CBS News. The woman's name was not revealed for privacy reasons.

Drew P. is seeking a divorce from Stacy on the grounds of abandonment for over a year (which is grounds in IL). I believe that it takes 7 years for a missing person to be declared legally dead.

If true that this creep is engaged to the young woman, she must have some problems. Of course she knows about him. Everyone around here knows about him. IMO

I guess no woman Drew's age would sign on for that.

Women DrewP's age are too savvy to hook themselves up to at the least a four-time loser and at worst, a killer of two wives who is obviously narcissistic and sociopathic. Of course he would want a young, impressionable woman he could win with flattery and gifts.

Drew P. doesn't want a woman "his age." I don't understand what a young woman, or any woman, would see in him, even if he wasn't a suspected murderer. He looks like a drunk to me. IMO

I was just thinking the same thing about him looking like a drunk. I just found this info in an article about him and his new woman. I got the link from #40. It has a lot of info on Drew and his engagement.

Drew Peterson confirmed he proposed to a much younger woman today, even as his wife is missing and he’s under scrutiny in the death of his third wife.
The engagement continues his pattern of courting women less than half his age and proposing while still married.
Peterson confirmed that the woman has accepted, despite the fact he’s a suspect in the death of his third wife Kathleen Savio and implicated in the disappearance of his fourth wife Stacy—to whom he is still married.

This article says he proposed. I'll bet he thinks he is quite the catch.
In that same newspaper there is an article by the Prosecutor which is really interesting. The paper lists different titles of articles and that is how I found the one by the Pros. He is positive that Drew is going to be charged for either one or both of the murders. The Grand Jury will begin again any day now. Let's hope it all comes down before he can marry this girl who is playing with half a deck. Drew P is such a PIG.

Wouldn't this girl and Stacy be around the same age as Drew Peterson's oldest son who is in LE?

I am not sure what has happened with the grand jury. I have probably missed articles about the gj also. Another thought came to mind to me last night when I was doing some reading. What if DP is or has put the word out that he is engaged just to be brought to being the center of attention by the media. He will not name the girl, but the one father thinks it is his daughter, then there was a report about this gal being out with him and their denying they are engaged and then laugh about it.
I don't know why my mind even went this direction but with him always wanting to be the center of attention it just makes me wonder.

For sure. Always the center of attention. I believe Drew Peterson is guilty, and will most likely never be convicted. Sad. So sorry for her kids and Cassandra, and all who loved her.

It sure is starting to look like he will not pay for what has happened to these two women. I think it is way past time he is locked up. More then making him pay for what he has done, these two women need justice for what was done to them. I do not believe for one moment that Stacy just walked away.
The games this man plays is really scary and it needs to come to a stop.

jmoo

I agree.....and it really worries me about that old saying "A grand jury will indict a ham sandwich." That just makes me think they REALLY have no evidence! I used to be so confident about an arrest, but I'm not so sure anymore.

In the meantime, I have absolutely no sympathy or worry for his new live-in girlfriend. If she has any sort of common sense, she would know not to get involved with a murder suspect....and she certainly wouldn't move into his (in my opinion, murdered) wife's old room. SICK!!!

Police help Drew Peterson's girlfriend move out

Bolingbrook police were called to the home of former Bolingbrook police Sgt. Drew Peterson this morning to assist Peterson's 24-year-old fiancée, Christina Raines, move out.
About five squad cars pulled up to the house about 10:30 a.m., said police spokesman Lt. Ken Teppel. Police were responding to a call by Raines' father, Ernie, who had come to Peterson's home earlier in the morning to help his daughter move out. I just say her father on Dr. Phil. He was very (understandibly upset). She sent him a text msg. saying that she is in love with him. How fast these people fall in love, wonder what this Drew has. The father sort of indicated that he is not going to let anything happen to her.

Drew Peterson's latest "fiancee" or I guess former fiancee and her father were just being interviewed by Lisa Bloom. I caught the tail end of it which was basically about them going to Peterson's home to retrieve her belongings. Other than the obvious, I'm curious as to why this short lived romance came to an end. Anyone?

"Engagement" To Drew Peterson Was "Stunt"

When asked how she had come to get engaged to Peterson, Christina responded, "It was never an engagement."
"What was it, then?"
"It was more like a stunt."
"A stunt?"
"Yes."
"On whose part?"
"On Drew's, so he could be in the media," Christina said. "He had told me that his lawyer had wanted him to be in the media and wanted to propose to someone at a restaurant."

Tell me this, Christina, If the engagement was "a stunt"...
What do you call moving into his house and putting YOUR kids

Does anyone care what DrewP. has put these children through already?

I came here to see if anything was said about this aspect yet. I don't buy what she's selling. If it was a "stunt", why did she have her things at DP's house, and need the police to retrieve 'em? I think she's trying to save face.

awareness
02-03-2009, 08:44 PM
I found it VERY TELLING that the now former fiance was saying in an interview she didn't feel Stacy would have run off and leave her kids. This was after she saw numerous photos of Stacy and the kids still displayed in DP's house, and she could clearly tell Stacy loved her kids from looking at the photos.

DP is one of the worst of the worst.

This gal should be thanking her lucky stars that nothing happened to her or her children. I still wonder what this man might do to her or her family. Everything I have read about Drew tells me he does not take lightly a woman walking out on him. If this was a stunt then she really needs to be careful. Of course all of us have been saying for over a year that Stacy would not have left on her own without her children. I really wish some of these young women would wake up to what is going on around them.

You know I have to wonder if Drew didn't put this stunt in action to bring attention from the media back to him and not to his victims.

jmoo

I'm wondering if Stacy knew that Drew killed Kathleen and left the children knowing that Drew would not kill his own flesh and blood. It appears that he is a good father to them. I have the feeling that Stacy is hiding out until Drew is arrested and will then reappear. Hopefully this is the case. Maybe Stacy is a tad bit smarter than Drew.

Divorcing Stacy at this point would be a big mistake for Drew. Since she would not be married to him she would then be able to testify against him as to what she knows. Didn't Drew take Stacy to the Savio residence at one point? I know that this is a theory but I think it is coupled with a reasonable hypothesis.

This does not surprise me in the least. TM has not been seen in a long time and I wondered if the state attorney had him somewhere where nothing bad could happen to him.
Clear back when he first realized that it may of been Stacy in that blue barrell there was a lot of speculation. I think when DP went to see TM at the hospital it is probably likely that DP made a threat or two and that is why he was put in protective custody or in a safe house so to speak to make sure he stays alive to give testimony.

Hopefully we will hear something soon.

jmoo Well I'm glad if they are watching out for this guy - but a creep like Drew only kills women - not strong enough to fight back. Even then he probably has to drug them first.
