So this explains why CJ was in the jury box during the co-defendants sentencing.
The restitution hearing was to be the same day but it was postponed
So that leads to next question. Are all defendants supposed to show as we all know everyone was at the last one except for OJ.
I'd just notice Cashmore is the primary defendant.
He was the last one holding the proverbial bag.
Although the items ended up with him in the end there are items that were supposedly never turned over from what I read.
Let's see - They went from the hotel to Stewarts SUV, something was taken by Alexander and McClinton and Cashmore supposedly had items to be returned to Fromong but no one ever told him where the drop off would be. So Stewart still had the rest of the memorbilia claiming as OJ's?
It's my understanding that Cashmore decided against returning to the hotel once it was known the police were called in.
Anyone feel free to make corrections via earth to JBL ROFL!

anyone know if the Goldman's attorney is listed to appear?
anyone know if the Goldman's attorney is listed to appear?
I was trying to find that info just to find out what the Goldmans could file to appear as claiming property or if the State calls them to appear and are working to help the Goldmans and filed something on his behalf and failed miserably.

Action News Continuing Coverage: O.J. Simpson Trial
A hearing is scheduled involving the memorabilia at the center of the OJ Simpson robbery case.
Next Friday, the court will have to determine who is the legal owner of the items.
Most of OJ's co-defendants are expected to be at Friday's restitution hearing.
Simpson was sentenced to at least 9 years in prison for his role in the Palace Station robbery.

I can't believe all the items can be settled in court this day. My guess would be is some ground rules are going to be layed down for persons to prove they are the rightful owner before they get anything handed to them.
Fromong I believe will have some proof for some items but I'd hesitate to say all of them. Same with Gilbert whom I'm guessing will be there.
Goldman might get what's left over although not physically. I think these items will go back to CA holding or something until a CA court rules.
Just speculating of course . I have nothing to go on regarding these bizarre events to even compare it with.

O.J. Simpson legal drama continues in two states
http://www.cnn.com/2008/CRIME/12/19/oj.simpson.ring.hearing/index.html
"I call it Lord of the Rings in an Orange jumpsuit," cracked David Cook, the Goldman lawyer who relentlessly hounds Simpson for property he thinks should go to the Goldmans.
ROFL!
"We are going to ask Judge Rosenberg to literally toss Beardsley into jail until he coughs up the ring," Cook explained to CNN."
This is also interesting:
"It's crazy how much credibility is being given to this total nutcase," Simpson lawyer Gabe Grasso told CNN"
That's not what they were saying during the trial now was it.
So where's the dates and times of both hearings. What's going on here?

okay -- I've got it all figured out:
orenthal gets the family pics (he could put them up in his cell)
fromong and beardsley get whatever they have receipts for
Goldmans get everything else

I think that receipts are unlikely - and even if they have any the question would be whether the person they bought them from legally owned them. Add then the ring- the ring! When Beardsley says he doesn't have it I think it just means that he has given it to someone for safe-keeping - or already sold it - thru his lawyer, maybe - he has been kind of out of touch. Wasn't he arrested right away? When did OJ have a chance to bribe - uh - give him the ring after the robbery?

no receipts? oh well -- here ya go Mr. Goldman.
I can't imagine that orenthal was so flippant about the ring when he was asked where it was -- I believe he knew and I believe he was arranging for beardsley to get it to change his story.

SANTA MONICA, California (CNN) -- O.J. Simpson may be sitting in protective custody in a Nevada prison, but courtroom drama continued to swirl around him Friday, with hearings in two states.
Memorabilia dealer Alfred Beardsley has been ordered to produce an O.J. Simpson Hall of Fame ring.
A judge in Santa Monica, California, ordered memorabilia dealer Alfred Beardsley to turn over Simpson's Hall of Fame ring.
Beardsley said he didn't have it.
Beardsley, a victim and witness in Simpson's armed robbery and kidnapping trial, denied allegations that Simpson had given him the ring in exchange for favorable testimony.
He added that Simpson told him he lost the ring on a golf course 12 years ago.

NEW: Judge orders Simpson memorabilia shipped to Los Angeles
Attorney for Fred Goldman said many items might be sold on eBay
Alfred Beardsley ordered to turn over ring; he says he doesn't have it
Simpson didn't attend hearings; he's in a Nevada prison

SANTA MONICA, California (CNN) -- Most of the sports memorabilia seized by authorities in the O.J. Simpson armed robbery case in Las Vegas is headed to California and, eventually, to Fred Goldman.
O.J. Simpson, convicted of armed robbery, is awaiting permanent assignment to a Nevada prison.
On Friday, Judge Jackie Glass, who presided over Simpson's armed robbery trial, ordered footballs, pictures and other memorabilia in evidence shipped to the Los Angeles County sheriff.
The shipment satisfies a turnover order singed by a California judge.

Still didn't get to talk! Lost "his" OJ stuff. But he'll get his Joe Montanna stuff back! Guess Judge Glass is tired of hearing about OJ. He didn't get much for medical bills, I'd have made them pay him for his heart attack expenses, too!
"Judge Glass also ordered Simpson and his five co-defendants to pay Fromong a combined total of $3,560 for some missing baseballs and also medical bills from the incident. The court will also return to Fromong several signed Joe Montana lithographs, which were recovered but not tied to Simpson.
Fromong says he is very upset with the decision. Not only was he injured during the incident, but now the memorabilia items which he says were rightfully his are headed to LA County, where the will likely be sold."
The End.

I couldn't get those to open for me. What did they say?
I love the idea David Cook (Goldmans' lawyer) had: wants the evidence tags left on the items for the sale on Ebay - probably worth more that way. Someone would pay extra for the football that landed OJ in Jail.
Love it!

For the most part they were Fromong's medical receipts.

It looks to me like that is what his insurance paid, or insurance from somewhere. The balance he forked out was a small co-pay.
The total insurance payout was $1,074.86 and it was just for medications and pain patches. Not much of a bonanza payment for his pain and suffering I would say.
And what was the deal with Mike Gilbert registering an attorney to practice in Nevada? Was his hand out for some of that stuff or what?
This DA office there in Vegas is as stingy with information as a three card monty dealer.

He made apologies and promises on the Dr. Phil show and hasn't followed through with anything according to the Goldmans' attorney.
