View Full Version : Where is the National Media on this? Nancy? Greta? HLN? TruTV?

No one seems to be covering this.
Greta is back on Natalie Holloway, deserevedly so.
Nancy seems to devote 90% of her time to Caylee.
HLN has mentioned it, but no details.
I can't conceive of a more compelling story than this one. Why are they avoiding it like the plague?

I would be very interested in why you all think this story has been so far below the radar.

I honestly don't know why there is no national coverage. I have seen Headline News mention it, Jane Valez Mitchell went into some detail about it last night I think. I guess there are just bigger cases to be heard right now.

i was trying to think what show would best cover it fairly ie not automatically take the LE/prosecution side as i assume nancy grace's show would (tho i am happy to be wrong). i think geraldo's weekend show on fox would be excellent. i have already emailed requesting coverage.

I think the reason is simple--- The gag order.
There isn't anything for the media to grab onto and no one is talking.
With no sensationalism there are no ratings and sadly no point in following the story closely.

Thanks for your replys.
Still, Ya'd think Nancy would be all over this.
I think Greata would handle it fairly, as would Geraldo.
But not a single word? Gag orders or not, these folks always take on the most controversial cases, and just love to speculate.
I'm just baffled.

Lisa Bloom/CNN has had some coverage. I know she has a blog and has been supportive of the boy and the need to remember that he's a small child, not an adult.
Supposed to have been a show about this on Dr. Phil.
Thanks for your replys.

Nancy Grace wasn't kind in her coverage in the King Brothers trial. 11 and 12 years old alleged murder of their father back in 2002.

I saw the one website with Tiffany and it just seems highly suspect to me that this girl is not even 6 weeks into being a widow, just out of the graveyard from burying her groom, and she is out partying like it's 1999 without a care in the world.
The question begs to be asked. How much life insurance did he leave her and exactly how much involvement did this woman have in the death of her groom? The Eyes of Arizona should be focused on this woman.
And, I have to ask in addition.... If she's really pregnant, was her husband the father? If not, would that have been motive, too?
Nancy Grace has a habit of not doing her homework before she opens her mouth sometimes. On the one day that she did cover this story, she started out by somewhat defending this little boy, making a weak argument that whether he is guilty or not, an 8 year old should not be in prison. She had 2 female pundits who went on a verbal diarreahage about how this boy was guilty and should be locked up for life short of hung in the nearest tree to which Nancy Grace stopped dead in her tracks and responded "perhaps you are right" and cut to a commercial. By the way, it looked to me as though she was only learning about the case like 2 minutes before airtime and was lost with respect to the details. Facts by the way NEVER came into the conversation.
Shame on Nancy Grace.
Shame on her.
Was on of the guests Wendy Murphy? She thinks children should be given the death penalty. She's a harsh one IMO

I agree. There is no who done it and probably not many people willing to go on the show and talk about it since the gag order.

believe it or not..i did see wendy on..not nancy..maybe fox and she thought whatever happend it needed juvenile court ie she said no way should an 8 year old be tried as an adult. go figure huh? people do suprise you!
personally, i don't want this on nancy. all those call-ins...susan moss. its gotten to be an odd show.

I think that since Nancy is on CNN, we are probably restricted in what we can say about her, for fear of being banned.
Maybe this will be ok, In My Personal Opinion Only, I think she is vapid, and mentally unstable. Her, and some others, obsession with one little missing and presumably deceased child is off the charts in my opinion.
There are thousands of missing and probably deceased children. Why 5 months of nearly daily coverage about Caylee? In my opinion only, it is because Nancy can rail against the mom and bring in all kinds of people to say what a monster she is. Nancy really likes being a bully IMHO.
There also happens to be an eight year old child being held in "prison" for a murder that it seems unlikely he could have physically carried out.
I am still seriously very disappointed with the lack of national coverage in this case.

na ya won't be banned..trust me. when her show first started there was a whole segment devoted to her and..cw never banned anyone for having a neg opinion of her..the show. ya she tends to pick one subject and kinda drive it into the ground...the fact that there is no news BECOMES news..lol. i actually don't want her covering it..tho i wish someone would..greta..geraldo..

The first time I heard about this case was on Nancy Grace. I'm pretty sure that she only talked about it that one time though.
I agree that the media needs to talk about this case more. It's been days since I've heard anything about it.

I still find it hard to believe that this case isn't as news worthy as Caylee.
I have still not heard anything on the "Main Stream Media" about this case.
I'll save my other comments for the other thread.
