What is your favorite Christmas children's book?

I love "Mr Willowby's Christmas Tree". That book always leaves me feeling happy inside.

There's new version of the book out in color. When I was a kid the pictures were in black and white. Either way, it's whimsical holiday story!

I don't have just one favorite but a number of them that I like to read this time of year, such as,

A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens (the unabridged classic)
A Christmas Memory by Truman Capote (wonderful expressive language)
The Best Christmas Pageant Ever by Barbara Robinson (fun!)
Little House series by Laura Ingalls Wilder (the books have different but warm looks at the Christmas as celebrated by the Ingalls family)
Winter Holiday (Swallows and Amazons series) by Arthur Ransome (scads of fun as the kids race toward the 'North Pole', even if there is the slightest possibility of mumps!)

Also, I love some of the picture books, especially,

The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg
and
Too Many Tamales by Gary Soto
